Everything about this game is 5 stars – puzzles, games, HOPs, graphics, dialogue. Suggestion: The Hint button dialogue box is too slow to close. Also, the plot (serial killer) was lost in re. Rescuing the sister. Who is the serial killer?

Greetings, Gamers: An enjoyable Springtime fling to be had playing this 5-star gem. Seems more appropriate for Halloween or dull, dreary winter days but everything about this game is a winner and guaranteed to send chills down your spine even on a warm, sunny day. Note to MikeBeachBum’s comment in Shadowplay game review: It might be necessary for some to log into iTunes to register feedback but we found that by holding our finger on a particular review (On iPad Pro) a pop-up appears with options of ‘helpful, not helpful, report a concern’. That saves time and effort for anyone wishing to provide information while remaining anonymous. Until next time, fellow gamers: May the shadowy stars light your way.

We really enjoy games that go off the beaten path, especially those that have an different story. This one is a bit creepy, and if you like it, we suggest "True Fear" the king of spooky HoGs, as well as Maze360. PSA we love animals and children (when properly cooked ;)) and am not known as evil in the world. We’re not trying to pick on people. However, we do wish these reviews were limited to actual reviews. This is not the appropriate forum to discuss personal ills and self aggrandizement. It is most certainly inappropriate to "review", and promptly state "This isn’t our review…" we can all help keep reviews as reviews by logging into iTunes and a) Say the review was not helpful and b) Report a Concern about the review. Happy Gaming!

For what it’s worth, we don’t review a lot but if Mad Head puts out a game, we buy it. While we also buy 99% of the games Big Fish put out; Mad Head is by far one of our favorite developers because we know they won’t disappoint. They haven’t so far, and we’ve been playing these types of games for years. That being said, this particular game may not be for everyone. We tend to like the Nevertales story side of Mad Head, with the exception of Adam Wolfe. Maze360 was another great game by this developer, but like this one, it’s definitely on the darker, creepier, and scarier side. Did it stop us from buying those games? Absolutely not. Just a different genre, that might not float everyone’s boat. Unlike some, having an extra button to click to get to the map and so forth, does not bother us. With all that’s included in this game like the teleporting map, customization of difficulty, morphing objects, collectibles, great storyline and graphics; we could go on, you can’t find many better games than this. It’s a definite buy in our opinion. Keep up the great work Mad Head.

We’re trying to be more mindful of leaving reviews because we myself depend on others feedback. No one likes to waste time on a bad game. We have to say we’re a huge fan now of this game designer. Hard head? Something like that. This is our second game of theirs and we love them. Unique puzzles, great story line, sharp graphics and HO are not just the norm. Highly recommend.

Enjoying this game. Recommend.

Shadowplay: Darkness Incarnate is the most interesting game we have played in months! We expected it to be spooky (insane asylum, multiple murders, shadows); however, we’re having so much fun completing the game that the storyline is almost secondary! Mad Head gives us lots of collectibles, such as Morphing Objects in the HO scenes, and a Weeping Eye motif in each scene. You travel between land and water, repair machines like trains, and wend your way thru ventilation systems (more than once.) Lots of unexpected scenes, like the asylum laundry, add to the realism of this game. So glad it was available!

We’re really enjoying this one because more various puzzles and less hidden objects.

Mad Head games does it again, with an outstanding storyline, interactive & Very unique hidden object scenes. Puzzles were also very intriguing. Beautiful crisp clear graphics with morphing collectibles to find in each scene. Teleporting map provided early for fast travel. We are in total awe of this Great game! It is not only a real challenge but a a heart pounder as well. Absolutely Loving it!! Buy this & don’t miss out on this outstanding game. Thank you to the developers & Big Fish! KdBoots ( Very Happy Gamer)

This is definitely one of the most enjoyable HO games we have played. Love the foreboding atmosphere & storyline. The puzzles are interestingly satisfying. Also a very nice visual experience.

The games are exceptional. Some people like us might feel somewhat depressed because of the darkness of it. It is hard to connect with the characters.

This is great game. Lots of levels. Great story line.

The plot is very well done, the graphics and sound are great as usual but it’s the HOS and other games that are really special. They are very challenging and different. Spotting a fabric print in a pile of laundry for instance. There are also morphing objects and creepy hidden eyeball symbols to find for an optional challenge. So fun and unique.

OMG. THIS is the epitome of our perfect game! First five star review. Shadowplay is SO crazy good – we’re savoring every minute. This is the very first game that has grabbed us from the instant it began…. And kept us in. Scary and adult. Stellar graphics/video/attention to detail, outstanding paranormal storyline, perfectly paced. We can’t wait to finish. WOW.

We enjoyed playing this game very much. Took quite a bit of time and had a lengthy bonus chapter too. A few of the puzzles we ended up skipping because they just took forever to solve. Some of the HOG were more challenging than others. Had a good storyline and defeating the Darkness shadows was a clever set of games. We would play this again.

These are called hidden object games, so how about we cut back on the puzzles and put what we came here for? Other than great game!

So far so good. This is exactly the type of game needed for our brain to stay in tip top shape. At 67, we’re trying to avoid Alzheimer’s. We love the graphics.

Controls can get quirky but over all your typical Nancy drew with murderous ghosts.

Great game, great graphics, great storyline, hint recharges quickly. No bonus chapter.

This is an entertaining game. Bought full for $2.99 sale price. The mini games, puzzles and HOPs are different than most of the BF games we’ve played (train, wash machine, and photo develop = very cool). Game is long and well worth sale price. Deducted one star because the cut scenes are a bit lengthy, but overall good game.

Like game specially the extra bonus good game!! We just didnt like the slow downloading.

We like creepy games so this one is definitely for us, and we tend to like most ‘mad head’ games. Everything is running smooth so far, we agree about the map… It’s kind of annoying when you have to find it in the menu, instead of being in the open where you can easily click on it. We really like the fact that they’re trying to change the HOP’s (I’ve seen this in a couple games) you have to click and drag the sides of the screen to find the item. In the past we had a really hard to get them at the exact spot they need to be in to click the object, but they made it a little bit more phone-gamer-friendly this time. Thanks developers! Dear Big Fish, The only real complaint we have is.. The fact that we’ve bought and paid for many big fish games and they keep asking us throughout the game to review the game! This is extremely annoying when you’ve already paid for it! We can see if you wanted to throw it in there after the trial and even at the end of the game, but 5 or 10 times throughout the game is way to much! Please try to thank the many people buying your games, by not doing that!

We bought this game because the quality and overall gameplay was much better than the average BF hidden object app. It had an interesting storyline for about half the game and then toward the second have, the puzzles became weaker, busy work, annoying puzzles, and the final "battle" was a very cheap shot at trying to make something epic which really was just a very silly, pointless plot element shoehorned in for effect but no substance. This could have been great, if some of the puzzles weren’t so tedious and overused. The graphics are fantastic, though and the concept was interesting overall.

We kept playing the game only because we paid for it, and really, it wasnt horrible. It was just kind of boring. About 3/4 of the way thru, the mini games were more fun but then it went right back to being blah until the end. We really contemplated whether to play the bonus or not. Again, its not Horrible…. We bought it before playing only because it was a Mad Head game. We’ve always loved their games before. Lets just hope this was an off day for them.

We’re not exactly faint of heart. (Sorry, can’t remember which of the reviewers used the term but, we know exactly what they mean…) we just could not get into this game. We hated to give it less than three starts, especially when some that reviewed enjoyed it so much. It wasn’t a bad game, it just wasn’t for us.

Once again our review disappeared. We didn’t love this game. Although Mad Head provides a very interactive experience, there is not that much to do at each location and the game was short. The graphics were decent and the storyline was easy to follow. Since most of the team already reviewed the game you know what to expect. The game was disturbing because it dealt with an insane asylum, known today as a psychiatric hospital. What ruined the game for us most of all is that Mad Head doesn’t provide us with an in-game map tab, so in order to look at notes, achievements and the map, you must exit the game and go into the menu. Our actual review is 3.5 stars. We deducted stars for the length and also for having to exit the game to access the map. We liked the older games from this developer (Nevertales) way better than this game! Lynxie sends to the remarkable DTE! We need to hold BigFish to the highest standards in order to get a better quality of games, as well as a larger quantity of games of this genre. So to all reviewers we say: please mention it in your reviews! If we don’t ask we don’t get!

This game was fun but we gave it only three stars because the HOS puzzles were difficult when matching to find the hot spots. Not only that, trying to get help, was non existent. We are not saying not to buy it, because it was fun, just giving you a heads up.

We only gave this 3 stars due to having to leave the game to see the map and it was hard to place items at times where they were needed.

We hit play game just to make sure it would load correctly. Got to unlock now and when we click on it-it just spins then says, purchased failed. Doesnt ask us for payment or give us the option. Bummer, was good while it lasted.

Hint takes too long to recharge in casual mode. Map should be on page instead of in menu.

We have been playing hidden object games for several years now. While many have evolved in game play and graphics, we have to say this game is still lacking. We only gave 2 stars because we actually got to play a game that wasnt riddled with glitches. But we didnt get to play very long. $7.00 for a game that we finished within an hour?? Obvious puzzles or puzzles completely unsolvable without luck, there really wasnt an in between. Please dont waste your time and money with this one guys. Youll enjoy others more that offer better options.

90% of their games wont let you purchase the unlock or the screens are skewed. Contacted customer service several times and they never help us with our problem. Never had so many problems with a developer before Love the games but wish we could play any of them.

We just started the game and the sound came back on. We went back into the option, turned it off, again, thought it already was set as off, and it was STILL on. Went back to the game. Warned to skip the opening scenes. No way to do so, so we had to wait before we could even start. Boooooooo. Hissssssss! Fix the sound, let us skip cut scenes,THEN, Ill play.

We like the scary, spooky games, so we wait until night to play them. We turn out the lights and immerse myself in the game. There is nothing like being in an immersive experience and then having yourself jolted out of it by a pop up ad for another game or a sale. These are RUINING the experience. Once we purchase a game, we expect for there to be NO ADS during game play. Please fix this. Shadowplay was ruined for us because of this. It happened so many times, and many times there would be 2 right after another. Every time this happens, we’re giving the game 1 star for this reason until it’s fixed.

Wasted our money on this one … Paid for it before playing it. It’s way too dark for us.
