A Glimpse into Silver Card Game

The Silver app lets you play 2-player games of Silver (the card game from Bezier Games, Inc.) against a computer AI. Learn the ins and outs of the game, and practice before taking on your friends!

Your goal in Silver is simple: have the lowest sum by the end of four rounds. To accomplish this, use abilities from the cards you draw, and from cards that are already face up in your village, which consists of five cards. You can trade in matching cards, and also trade out your cards for ones you draw to make matches or to lower your score. End a round early if you think you have the lowest sum by calling for a vote; if you’re right, you score 0 points, and get to use the Silver Amulet of Protection the next round. If you’re wrong, though you get the sum of your cards plus ten points!

The app walks you through the game, and the comprehensive Help screen gives you all the details you need to be able to play. While you’re playing, view detailed card abilities just by tapping and holding on them.

We really enjoy this game! See toy planning on releasing the other expansions? Id pay for them.

It is a strong mental thinking game with lots of stradiges.

Please add silver coin and dagger in this game… We love silvers.

We own the physical copy at home and love playing this with friends. There are some minor glitches with some of the abilities, but not deal breaking. The one thing we wish it could do is play either online or locally with friends. That would take this game from 5 stars to 10 stars.

When will u add dagger and coin to the game.

A great introction to the family of Silver games and a nice quick solo game vs. The AI.

The game is so intersting, the app is for two people although the game was designed for 2 to 4 people,i hope new update raise to 4 people and also palying online.

We love this game. We had the physical copy first and the app does well to duplicate play. Knocked a star because the app does glitch from time to time and we have to abandon our game progress.

Just like the silver series card game. Be better with an update to add a online play plus add the next two sets. Would not mind putting five stars if added or even pay for the dlc.

We like the game but it is very easy to mistap on a card and lose its action. There is no way to take the action back. Also, we wish there were more than 1 AI.

This game is our go to game right now. We would give it 5 stars but the app is buggy and we get shot out of games occasionally. That said, the game has 2 different Silver decks to choose from, Silver Core deck and Silver Bullet, AND you can customize the deck you play with between the two. So cool! We want multiplayer now though as playing against the AI we can predict the choices it will make. With that, we share the app with others so that when we can gather again we can okay with the real cards… Here is to hoping they add in all the other decks!

Great game with an awesome twist on a classic card game (golf). But the glitches kill the experience. The game will freeze or glitch out and even closing the app and reopening it doesnt work, you have to end your game and start over. There also isnt a way to control the AI difficulty, so its very difficult to win games. If they could fix these things, Id give it 5 stars.

We love the game and that its just that, no events or gimmicks or ads. We can just enjoy playing, but the controls are tricky. We often do something accidentally which is frustrating. Its also very buggy causing us to start a new game when we cannot select a card, or images freeze on top of each other. This happens frequently. Despite that though we keep playing bc its just that enjoyable to not have all of that extra stuff other apps have. The graphics are really well done too. The cards look really good.

Like what most other reviews have said, the controls are unintuitive and buggy. Lots of symbols and a lack of consistent UX across the app. If you can power through the inconsistencies, there is a great game here. Worth playing since its free.

Gameplay is good. App has a habit of freezing. Also it is too easy to discard a card when you want to exchange it if you tap once too much. It would be far better if a drawn card had a pop-up menu so the player could definitively choose discard or exchange. Additionally, the app is sorta low res with old school buttons and backgrounds. If it didnt freeze, Id give it four stars.

Enjoyed the game. Controls take a little while to get used to. Our biggest complaint is the game locks up frequently requiring you to start a new game. In addition, in silver bullet, there have been many rounds where we’ve won the bullet but no matter what we do, Im unable to select a card and place it. Fun game, but still bugs that need fixing.

This game could be a paid game if they fix those confusing bug that stop people playing in the middle of the game but the last update is 1year ago so not much hope.

We love this game, play it with friends all the time and the app helps us stay fresh. But, playing it a lot today, we noticed that 75-90% of the time the game locks up after we flip a 2 over in Silver Amulet. Especially when the AI is forcing a vote. We go to check a card, flip it back over, then we cant do anything other than zoom in on each upward facing card to see what its rule is. The only way to fix this is to start a brand new game. Very frustrating. Definitely needs to get fixed.

We interface is actually pretty good, but the lockups are really frustrating. In round 3, we take our turn and it never gives the green check Mark. We can click cards, etc and cant perform any actions. Kill app and resume game and it is in the exact spot it was and no way to move forward. Also the AI cheats. Multiple time after shuffling their cards, they immediately swap a pair of cards out. How would the ai know what the card were? We interface is actually pretty good, but the lockups are really frustrating. ***Also would be great if the scoring at the end let you see the computed scores with the cards instead of jumping straight to the scorecard without a chance to review. It would be easier to learn the game.

This game was hard to understand after playing a few minutes we were lost so we just gave up because it didnt go anywhere we like games that take a little time to learn and easy to play how would not recommend this game.

The Mere fact that if you click on the wrong function you get screwed. They gave us we will always beat you which makes this game no fun. So the fact that the game doesnt even offer multiplayer so you cant even play your friends in this makes this an awful iOS board game.

We bet this game is super fun in a traditional card game style. However, the app is the worst!! The directions on how to play are vague and confusing, even so we figured we would get the hang of it after playing a few rounds, but nope! The AI has all of these extra moves it can use against you, but essentially all you can do is draw or discard, so it is frustrating and boring play. Supposedly the cards have additional features if you tap on it, but all it does when we tap on it is discard it or it does nothing. You don’t get to choose where a card goes when it is added to your hand so it gets confusing knowing which ones you have turned over already. Like other reviews said the touch feature is terrible because you try to do one action and it does the opposite ( like trying to exchange or pick up a card and it discards it). The icons are super small and we finally figured out that if you hold down long enough it tells you what the card is, but then it makes no difference because you can never actually use the feature of the card. If you want to be stressed out and angry with a game then download this one. We had hoped the developers fixed the issues from previous reviews, which is why we gave it a try, but nothing seems to have been improved in the 1+ yrs of reviews. Dont bother!!

Only allows us to exchange cards, and occasionally allows us to perform the view action. On multiple occasions we should have been able to play a face up cards ability, but the only action Im allowed to play was exchange from the draw pile. Really frustrating and will be deleting. Also, we learned how to play this game from the actual card game, so its not anything Im doing wrong, or lack of understanding the rules.

Its impossible so play this thing because of the bugs. The taps wont do what they were supposed to, so you end up playing with random actions. Just no.

Great if you own the actual game for getting some of the mechanics as the rule book isnt written the best. That said has wonky glitches. That randomly show up not allowing your turn or action to work correctly. Lastly the AI is totally hacks. It will not let you win and had the lowest cards as much as possible. Played a set where it always had a zero card and one round had both 0 cards. Bottom line. Good for seeing how rules are implemented. Otherwise not worth the click and download effort.

Got the iOS game after have fun playing the board game. Figured it would help us build our skills as well as help pass some time. It plays just like the board game with just the AI. The glitches seem to only happen when you switch to other apps while a game is in progress and typically means you have to quite the game and lose your round. The biggest issue is the game cheats. We started noticing the odds of a 12 or 11 coming up right after we called the game didnt seem statistically possible. Since then, we’ve witnessed cards changing. On multiple occasions we’ve had multiple 4 cards showing and could see then next 2-3 cards. Then, after calling the game, the next card becomes something different (like a 12) allowing the AI to use that cards ability. Its one thing to think you lost because the game cheated, its totally different when you know you lost because the game cheated. Update: Thanks for responding but Im not 5. We can handle a bad game and be just fine. We have video from when we had multiple fours up and could see 3 cards into the deck and the 12 wasnt there before it was the AIs turn. It seems you dont know your game very well. Id suggest you play it for a bit and Im sure you will see what Im saying. It happens on both our iPhone and iPad.

Its a fun game but extremely buggy. The bugs are game breaking. Maybe fix the bugs before you start adding features!

Not fun because the text of the cards is too small (even with it set to large) and the how to does not make sense. The combination of these two things made it not possible for us to really figure out what is going on, even after eight rounds.

This is a very well done app version of the card game Silver Amulet. We love playing this game and can get sucked into playing it over and over. Great work!

Its a great game despite the bugs. It does freeze occasionally but usually resets itself if we go to Home.

Very fun game, please add multiplayer and fix the gliches.

We love this card game but this app has way too many glitches and bugs. Theres many times where im unable to pick a card from the deck or the game doesnt allow us to choose what we want (ex: discard the card, only allows exchange) and we have to close out the page and sometimes that doesnt even work and it ruins the game because we have to start a new one. It takes away from the fun of it which is sad because we’ve been obsessed with this game and was so happy to find an app that we can play by myself. Will be deleting until we can happily play without these major issues.

Im glad it was free. We felt like we were clicking randomly on cards. And we could never make choices because if we clicked twice it seemed to move on. The rules were lousy, too. We honestly dont know what we were doing in this gameand we play a lot of games. It was poor instructions and poor programming for the mechanics of the game. Im sure if we had the physical game (and maybe the rulebook, we would be fine. But thats not how digital versions should work. We highly suggest a tutorial for new players and not the reading that you provide now. We can tell you what it said, but in practice it didnt work. It even locked up on us when we turned over a card. The app was unplayable.

The core game is solid (but not great) card game. Theres very little reason to try up to higher score cards (barring the 13 wild card) thus greatly reducing the risk-reward mechanic relative to dumb luck. However the controls are quite bad. Depending on how exactly you click on a card, it will either play the card, allow you to trade cards, or allow you to look at your hand. If you dont do it quite right, it will do something other than what you intended. We find that seemingly half of the games this happens one or more times, making the game incredibly frustrating. Obviously that thankfully doesnt occur in the physical card game.

We like the game but their are a lot of bugs. When we have double of the same card. Never gives us option to draw card and discard two of them. The AI does it all the time. Also freezes on the draw phase as well. Which cost you the game.

If you turn over a card from the deck and then exit the game, when you Resume it wont let you discard that card for its power. You are forced to swap it out with one of your cards.

Fun game, we might buy the paper version, but there are glaring bugs that prevent you from executing moves that result in you being simply forced to lose the game. Its almost as if this app was never playtested. We cant get through a single4-round match without running into multiple bugs. Also the UI makes it way too easy to make a mistake.

Has potential. Game itself is good, but implementation is buggy. Runs out of control. AI does the same, sometimes making clearly nonsense choices when the card next to it was the choice. Smells like off by one errors abound. Also UI is unintuitive. Green check ending turn often results in our ending our turn when our tiny brain thinks we are confirming the swap selection we just made. Could be patched to greatness we think.

Huge fan of the developer. But there is some work needed on this game. Not the game, but the explanation on how to play. The tutorial is not clear on how to play. It is very difficult to understand the game rules. Frustrating and beyond disappointing. Could this game be a hit? Yes. It is unique and well designed. Overcoming the learning curve is a HUGE hurdle. After several games still dont understand the game mechanics and rules which makes you want to delete the app entirely. Im sure if you keep playing eventually you will "get it." Just not sure how many will want to actually stick around.

A very clunky interface that doesnt seem to show whats currently selected at times. If you click to hard theres no backing up so you got to take the loss. Played the physical version and having something that works as meant with more players is nice. Kind of merits no reason for this to exist though. Cant recommend until it gets a complete overhaul.

Lots of glitches From taking the wrong card, to ghost cards staying on the screen into the next game, to cards just disappearing, and the game freezing. Its a well designed game – just not sure its fun.

We enjoyed this much more after being able to learn on and play the real thing. There are a few things that we ran into as far as the game not responding to our actions or doing the opposite of what we intended. It would be nice to have a just the score pad feature so we can keep track on the game when playing with friends. Edit: After the most recent update the game runs much more smoothly – havent had any problems with it! Still looking for a score pad only game mode though! Great game either way!

This is great game. Cant wait for the physical release.

Really fun game but its rather glitchy. 1/5 games generally have to be restarted because it messes up. Difficulty is a little tough at first but once you figure out the game the AI is decently easy to beat.

The game is fun and addicting but we’ve come across more and more bugs as we’ve played. The biggest one is not allowing us to choose multiple cards to exchange with a drawn card. It has happened multiple time that it will only allow us to select one or two cards to exchange. Mostly it wont let us choose face up and face down together when this happens. Or we’ve got exchange and it freezes. A lot of this is when we have rascals in play and am able to choose from multiple top cards.

3 things. 1. We LOVE THIS GAME!!! (have the card version too) 2. You need an undo when you accidentally drop a card in the discard pile. (This is really annoying) 3. The a.i. Seems really really dumb now. It was pretty competitive before the update. Maybe give us an easy and hard a.i.

Dont download until app fixed. We see why its free. However we will buy the actual game from the little we did get to play.

Playing on an iPad and there are bugs/glitches left and right… We havent been able to complete a single game (4 rounds) yet without some glitch or other getting in the way. Exchange cards doesnt work when we have a rascal face up… Call button isnt available…

We have played this game almost 30 times now because we wanted to really give it a fair try. Unfortunately it glitches at least half the time and we can’t finish our game. Either the app gets stuck or the ai plays several turns in a row. There’s always something and it usually just ends with us getting frustrated and quitting the app. We hope they get it fixed as we love Bezier games but this is currently unplayable.
