What Makes Sir Questionnaire Stand Out

Sir Questionnaire is a turn-based hack’n’slash game, where you enter a dungeon full of loot, creatures and mystery.

Each room gives you two options to choose from, choose wisely and survive room after room, collecting loot which will help you defeat more and bigger monsters as you venture deeper into the dungeon!

Take pictures of your various encounters and complete your codex with information on the various entities that roam the dungeon.

Take on Quests as you enter every game, ranging from easy to hard, with each quest type giving you a reward for your next game. The harder the quest, the bigger the reward, so again: choose wisely!

Learn monster weaknesses, alternate uses for the many items in the game, and uncover secret items and hidden area's in this procedurally generated adventure

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Surprising depth that would keep us coming back for more were it not for how poorly the app handles landscape on XS Max. The game and inventory screen, which are side-by-side in landscape, fail to take advantage of the screen area (ie, both are quite small in landscape) and the inventory appears shaded. In other words, the UItoo small and dark in landscape modeinterferes with what otherwise would be an exceptional experience. Note that SQ requires a great deal of inventory management (read: screen taps), which makes switching back and forth so often in portrait mode feel quite onerous. It just doesnt feel good to play in its current state.

Kind of cute if you just want to walk around and swat at things for a little while. There are also some little secrets to discover, which is always fun. Everything is random, however, and while the monsters gradually get tougher, your skills and equipment dont keep pace. Theres almost no sense of progression from game to game, and achieving the hardest objectives seems laughably unlikely. Theres also a crafting ability which doesnt seem to do anything. All in all, its a game thats fun to explore for a while but which is too disconnected and luck-based to be satisfying in the long run.

This game had a great concept, witch was why we bought it without hesitation, but it's not even skill based at all. There are a lot of factors in this game to where if you don't randomly get good enough loot, you die immediately to over powered bossed that you can't run away from. Sometimes items that say heal you, kill you, and you always have to start over with nothing. We deleted it because it just got to frustrating when they give you a stick to kill a monster that kills you in one hit. You can't back track, it's randomly generated, so the dungeon you wanted to go to after you got the key no longer exists after you leave the room. Fix the RNG and make it more skilled or at least let you run from the bosses if you have garbage RNG loot.

Ive played rogue lite games before and this one is bad. Its truly random in the sense you get random different styles of keys and then run into random different styles of doors. Not terrible but the chance you have the right key to the right door seems to be about 2% of the time with no way to go back to previous doors. Played this game for 6 hours and have only been able to buy 1 item from the shop on luck. Quests objective seem to vanish when youre looking for them and then reappear when you arent . Its not a good game and its not worth your money.

Spoiler alert : its impossible to win unless you drink 4 invisibility potions (which have a 50% chance of not turning you invisible and instead attracting monsters) and rob the merchant of at least 100 items. Even with fifteen each of the best weapons, necklaces, potions, shields and other items we barely beat the final boss. Cant imagine it would have been possible without robbing the merchant blind.

Yet again, it's an OP game that's quite a bit deeper than it seems at first. There's so many little things to discover and play with (we'd list off some things here, but we don't want to spoil anything for anyone). For a game with two options at any given time, it's a great turn-based roguelike. If you're a fan of the genre, this is most definitely a game you should devote some time to. Wonderful OrangePixel graphics, wonderful OrangePixel gameplay… Can't ask for more. =D UPDATE This game has received quite a few updates since its release… It's given players a lot of new enemies, enemy clusters and new areas/items/playable characters to explore and try to find/unlock… Ensuring a LOT more replay value. We can not praise this game enough. Chances are it'll be in our top 3 favorite games of 2018, if not our #1 favorite! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

… Asking us to subscribe to a newsletter. Paid games shouldnt get away with stuff like this.

We love the look and concept of this game, but for a paid app we are disappointed in how quickly it became monotonous.

Many of the classes you can unlock require serious time put in the game. There is one unlocked by the mail list but will not unlock despite having signed up.

Sooner or later we run out of food and weapons. There is a crafting stat, but weapons do not craft. There is an alchemey stat, but potions do not mix, ingredients do not drop, etc. There is a merchant, but too few coins. We dont know how far the game goes, or even if the game reaches an end.

And the greatest skill to have in this game it to read before tapping.

How to unlock voodoo, please show us the procedure.

Im playing on an iPad so font size isnt an issue, but it should be addressed for other devices. The art style is pretty cute although some of the sprites could use some definition. The brightness/contrast seems VERY dark and we wouldnt hate seeing more of what Im looking at. Since its a new game Ill leave it at that and hope for updates.

Really boring. The bad design problem here is that 90% of the monsters pose no real threat to you. They are only there to drain you of a tiny bit of weapons|health. But they cant actually kill you. This is bad design because it makes the game very uninterestingmore of a matter of managing resources than actually fighting and adventuring. We guess if you enjoy managing resources you may enjoy this stinker.

We like the bones of this game, but there are a lot of issues that take a compelling system and turn it into a frustrating and ultimately boring experience. Gathering money seems either inconsistent or bugged. We never have a chance to afford anything at shops we could be 8 levels down and only have 20 coins, in spite of multiple money drops from enemies. Something feels off about that, when items hover around 60-90 gold each. Within the game, we signed up to the newsletter to unlock the Voodoo character but nothing happened. Really frustrating!! The road to unlock other characters is waaaaay too long. To get the knight, it looks like we have to finish five objectives For the first objective, we have to gather 150 skulls. We run into at least 6-8 skulls per run, but Im fairly certain that some of the skulls we collect arent being recorded. Perhaps offer multiple active objectives or lessen the amount of grind required to finish one objective? We dont think Id be this frustrated if we didnt pay 2.99 for this. Its a fair price for a well made indie game on mobile, and we hope the developer can address these issues that keep it from being such.

This game has some serious logic flaws. The quests seem to cause the necessary creatures or items NOT to spawn. We had one quest to pick up metal round shields. We had a lot of these spawn in our previous run and figured we could complete this. Not ONE single metal shield spawned during that run. You also run into things too early in the game to be useful. Ive run into shops before and we had even fought 1 monster. The game logic just seems to not work correctly. We will change our review once the quests are fixed.

We are enjoying this game so far, but after updating today, we have had it crash at least 4 times so far. Before we did not have it crash even once. IPad Pro, latest IOS, latest update. Tried even rebooting iPad.

We are a sucker for rogue lite style games, and this one is perfect for fans of the genre on the mobile. To get the small negatives out of the way, we hope the developer can do something about the small font, as it is a bit hard to read on an iPhone 8 screen. Also, we would like some of the item descriptions to be a little more specific as they can be a bit confusing. The two choice system makes this a great game for playing in short bursts. The reward system is good for giving you something to work towards, all while keeping the pressure on you to make good use of what you earn. Once you get on a roll you will start to know when to use certain items and when to save them for later. Again, we really hope the developers continue to improve on the game; with a little polish this could easily be one of our most played games on our phone.

Great turn based RPG Hack & Slash! Superb classic hand drawn pixel art with a great audio track. Well designed for mobile. Lots of surprises. Dont even think about it- its a bargain at this price.
