Player Experience Highlights
Community Insight:
Love the game but can not update from 2.0.38 to 2.0.4 on our iPhone.
We absolutely love this game but the lack of controller support is a little frustrating. Especially since its also not touch instead it uses a virtual controller.
Theres 1000s of hours of gameplay here. Systems on systems on systems to dive as deep as you want into. Definitely worth the money.
We have over 600 hours in this game combined and we can say its 100% worth the price for the mobile port. Touch screen controls can be adjusted in the menu. Dont like the size of a button? Change it. Dont like where that button is for your screen? Move it freely to where you want it. Want a joystick instead of a D-Pad? Sure! Ive got both, one for menus and one for ingame movement. Buy a fat phone case and now you need to rearrange the buttons again? Easy. Takes maybe 5 minutes then back to loot number go up good time. Seriously, read all the other reviews for more details on why you should get this Im just here to say that we dont regret it. As a last mention, we also we bought this on Steam to support the devs and the cloud play feature works perfectly.
But dang this game is awesome. Took us a bit to get into it, mostly sat downloaded on our phone for months before we REALLY gave it a shot. Glad we did, this game has loads of in depth content waiting for you to sink your teeth into. It rewards exploration of builds and testing out different combinations of teams and monster fusions. Upgrading gear feels basic but before you know it, you have created your own personal artifacts to destroy hordes of monsters with, or protect your team with. Character classes give TONS of replayability as you can switch between them. Overall really surprised this doesn't have more ratings on the App Store, 10/10 worth your money and time. 2.0 Update?? Was not expecting another update, guess we know what game Ill be playing for the next couple of months. Cants wait to try out the new content.
This game is both very very good and very very bad. Immediately starting out the controls are the worst we have ever experienced. The control scheme can be changed in the menu, but even navigating that was so difficult that we almost gave up and demanded our money back. Once you can change the controls then the game is fine. The gameplay mechanics are very fun and the idea of training your monsters and fusing/equipping them is well thought out and has an infinite amount of options and combinations. However you MUST get used to saving constantly because the game is extremely unstable and prone to crashing suddenly. Save after every battle and pick up, and DO NOT switch to a different app in the middle of battle because the game WILL CRASH and you will lose progress. The game is still getting updates and improvements so based on that we will say it is worth the money IF you want an endless grind game of improving and testing different party comps.
Absurd levels of customization, team building, and planning. Anyone who loves the spreadsheet and cals side of competitive Pokemon and nuzlockes will adore this game.
This game is a little masterpiece that keeps getting better and better! Dont sleep on it.
Touch screen controls can be adjusted in the menu. Dont like the size of a button? Change it. Dont like where that button is for your screen? Move it freely to where you want it. Want a joystick instead of a D-Pad? Sure! Ive got both, one for menus and one for ingame movement. Read all the other reviews for more details on why you should get this Im just here to say that and also we bought this on Steam and the cloud play works perfectly.
We have bought this game on PC, Switch, and now mobile. It is clean, fun, well made, and just released a huge beta update that we cant wait to see on the live updates. If you like spreadsheets and team builders, there is no competition for Siralim Ultimate.
This game is worth many times its price.
Im 300+ hours deep and still playing, still unlocking stuff, still climbing the levels. Its fantastic if this is the game youre looking for.
75 hours in on one single save and still counting strong. We havent even scratched the surface, yet. Been through a few different builds already ( probably why we havent made it crazy far but Im not complaining AT ALL ) and the customization is insanely well thought out. At first when we got the game we were put off ( not sure why, thought it was shallow ). Put a bit of time into it this time around and found some seriously deep mechanics and roots in the game. Now we cant put it down! Highly recommend if you like playing with different builds ( there are sooooo many ) and power creep. The grind feels good and you can change the difficulty of your realm runs at will. The more difficult the more rewarding, staying alive longer and not wiping also lets you real greater rewards. Got a super powerful trait early on in the save. Converted gear with trait equipped into resources because we didnt know you could hide different battle texts and we thought it made battles take too long. Using build that ACTUALLY scales well with said trait now, with minion battle text hidden making battles happen much quicker. Been pleasantly grinding to try and randomly win another one because it would literally be the cherry on top to our necromancer build. Cry in the shower.
For RPG lovers and theory crafters, we cant recommend Siralim enough! Literally the best bang for your buck, and worth absolutely every penny. Reminds us a bit of Disgaea, Diablo(rifts),Magic the Gathering, Warframe etc. An insane amount of rewarding content that goes on forever it seems. This Game scratches a certain itch thats hard to compare to anything. No internet required so Ill catch ourselves whipping out the ole Siralim Ultimate pretty much anytime we have some free time to grind some levels out and clear a realm or ten. We recommend digging around with a handful of changes in the games highly customizable user settings as you get the hang of things to make gameplay more smooth and to your specific liking. If theres something that rubs you wrong theres probably a setting to change it.
Fun little game, no micro transactions, indie dev, lots of replay ability. 10/10 would purchase again.
207 amazing hours in and counting, and we cant recommend this game enough.
Have you ever wanted to collect monsters on your phone, but the Game You Love doesnt have a mobile game that isnt about walking around outside? Do other monster collecting games leave your deeply seated desire for complex gameplay interactions and infinite scaling dissatisfied? Go on a joyously unhinged adventure in siralim and experience some of the most complex interactive mechanics ever to be attached to little pixelated monsters, all while reliving your childhood memories and stroking your adult ego about the massive brain you must have to understand the mechanics and gameplay of Siralim.
This game is so good that it feels weird that it came from the app store. Its a great game with endless replay value, zero bugs so far, ZERO microtransactions, endless combinations of monsters and builds(but not so complicated that it makes your brain hurt), quick snappy battles, its not super grindy, has great music, and really fun and relaxing dungeon crawling mechanics. Oh and you can customize your castle too with furniture and stuff. And change your character class at any time. Its fun trying to come up with the most broken builds. Its simply a good game that is more than worth its price tag. If you like rpgs, roguelikes, dungeon crawlers, and monster collection games we highly recommend this.
The game is brilliant, but its not compatible with the Backbone app. We think this is because the listing is not marked as Gamepad Compatible, and thats what the Backbone App uses to know which games it can launch. Hopefully the dev reads his reviews so he can correct this on all his Siralim listings that saybut only in textsupports gamepads! Theres apparently metadata that needs to be explicitly marked to indicate the support, and it does matter to the functionality of Backbone.
Just got our new Backbone controller for iPhone, just to play Siralim! Backbone is under the impression that Siralim does not support controllers, but it obviously does. Yall should work with Backbone to get that updated so we can add Siralim to our Backbone library. Either way, Siralim is a great game.
Let us preface this review by stating one fact: Siralim is not a simple game. It is a symphony of many dozens of interconnecting systems, melded together in a glorious chorus that harmonizes into an utterly sublime experience. The ability for an individual to express themselves through the building of their character is unparalleled on mobile devices. This is a game as complex as Path of Exile, as deliberate as Divinity: Original Sin 2, and as fun we all had when we played Final Fantasy 6 for the first time. This game offers something that very few others can: hundreds of hours of engaging content and an unsurpassed potential for build customization. The only caveat? For a game as involved as this one is, there isnt a wiki. Youre going to have to experiment and theory-craft on your own. To some, that is anathema. To others like us, it is a dream come true. Youve read our ramblings. You know in your heart of hearts whether or not this game is for you. If it is, buy it and never look back.
A Must by for any Pokmon, diablo, excel fan.
Siralim is fantastic for so many reasons (like the self-aware humor), which we will detail later as room permits, but we don't want to lure you with the negative headline only to bury it within a wall of text. For that reason, Ill start with the negatives- 1. The touch controls need a lot of work. To be fair, there are very few touch-control games that we can tolerate. Grindstone and Marvel Snap(!) are easy since they're controlled with taps and one hand. But we even found Diablo Immortal easy to control, much to our surprise, unlike Siralim. The control stick does not float, so you have to hit the right area on impact, which is difficult when we can't feel a physical button. This is worsened by having movement on a grid. There are good customization options for the controls, like making them light or dark mode, and moving them around individually (we tried many different positions for the movement stick, even having all controls on one side), except that all controls are increased or decreased in size together, instead of individually. If we want the character to move to the left, but tapping on the screen makes it go in a different direction 85% of the time, it is just unplayable to us. 2. It needs automatic cloud backups, especially if Im going to spend hundreds of hours playing. They do have a cloud save system where we can enter a number and upload our save to that number, but we have to remember that number (easy), MANUALLY ENTER IT every time we want to upload our save (major pain), and it isnt backed up automatically. We found that to be true on our MacBook M1 Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and Steam on our Mac and Steam Deck. We wanted to play this game, so we kept buying it until we found somewhere it was acceptable playable to us- Nintendo Switch. Yes, we have the game digitally there, and none of the above issues are present. The controls are FANTASTIC, especially since the sticks and shoulder buttons all combine in a way that allows us to play with both hands or only the left Joy-Con or only the right Joy-Con as the need arises. The save file automatically uploads to the cloud (we do have the annual Nintendo subscription, which is probably required), and we can end a session on our original Switch that we keep in our pocket and pick it up on our OLED Switch that is Satisfye gripped for longer sessions. With those gripes aside, we would like to say that the game is 10/10 otherwise. Ive put 32 hours in within four days, and completed the main quest line in 26 hours. The game then opens up and is almost unlimited in replayability. It reminds us of a turn based RPG take on card games mixed with Diablo 3 (which we have a couple thousand hours into on both Switch and PS3/4/5). Although there are multiple classes to choose from the start, and more unlock as you play, you only need one save file because you can sway to any other class after unlocking it. Thats actually part of the replayability, because there are rotating goals involving the classes. We played the campaign as a Monk class, but then unlocked a goblet that wants us to complete tasks while using the Mime class, in order to unlock rewards. What will the rewards be? Like everything else, its currency that allows the player to buy cosmetics, upgrade equipment or spells, level up creatures, and more upon more. There are always dopamine hits and that cycle of having one more thing you want to do before you call it a night, which keeps us hooked. Im not going into the basics of how the game works since we assume you can see everywhere else that its a Pokemon collect and battle game. What Ill extol are the customizations, like a castle you can expand, rearrange, and customize by changing tile sets of floors, walls, and the void outside, programming NPCs, tossing pictures on the walls and cobwebs in the corners, etc. Monsters can be combined to change color palettes and get two unique combat abilities in one creature. Ive spent time playing the game on higher difficulties (where you enter a realm with randomized things to make life a nightmare) and had to pay attention to every turn, and Ive also played where we put it on easy mode and just burned through levels while watching the evening news. Ive used the universal save transfer system to go back and forth between playing on our Switch and iPhone 13 PM, which is how Im reviewing this version. Im up to 49 hours so far, and the endgame is just as entertaining as the campaign. We can see ourselves spending many more hundreds of hours with the game, but the low purchase price has already been worth it after 30 hours. We do recommend buying this game however you wish to play it, but hope the devs can make some adjustments to controls and saves.

As the title says this game is grea, however the joystick and buttons are horrible. We play this game on an iPhone and the controls are too big and are blocking some in-game texts. Modifying the control isnt that great because its either too big or too small. The developer should look at games like Titan Quest, Dungeon Hunters and similar games and add an option for that type of control so that its more accessible to mobile players. Im sure its a great game on iPads and tablets but for mobile phones its a bit difficult.
This is some of the most in-depth team building and synergy building gameplay Ive seen. Lots of mechanics and Ive only scratched the surface so far. Also appreciate the single purchase for a big game with no microtransactions. Only problem is that it seems to crash somewhat regularly in battle for us, not sure if thats a common thing or what. EDIT: tried again after awhile, redownloaded, crashing is still bad. Shame as we want to like the gameplay but its frustrating frequently losing progress to seemingly random crashes. Id probably get it on PC if you are interested.
Siralim Ultimate could have been the best game on iOS. There were some strange decisions the developers made that makes it difficult to play. The controls are a virtual d-pad. You get a joystick on the left and 3 buttons on the right. Over time, this becomes increasingly uncomfortable. While you can move them around to where you want your thumbs, we found it difficult to use. The scope and complexity of the game will be hit or miss for some. In this game, you fight and collect creatures, adding them to your team. The strength, intelligence, and defense are negligible in importance compared to the creatures trait. The synergy of traits is what makes the game stand out. Eventually you can merge creatures traits to make them work better in your party. For example, you may have a cleric with healing builds, and you can merge a creature that gives random buffs on heal with a creature that heals itself. Doing this with unique creatures can give you a solid team of 6 that have 12-18 traits working to your benefit. This doesnt even include artifacts (think equipment) and spell gems (of which there are hundreds). The scope becomes an issue. With over 1,000 creatures with unique traits, and several dozen potential classes you can be, creating a custom build could take hours or days. When you finally get that perfect build, the battles become very boring. We got to a point with a griffin pyromancer build where we simply clicked defend on our first character and it would immediately kill the entire enemy party. Doing that for thousands of battles gets old, quick. This game could take hundreds or thousands of hours to complete, and our understanding is there really is no complete here. You beat the story around floor 60, but there are players whove made it to floor 1500 (probably higher). Again, great game, just know what youre getting into.
Great game but trash controls for ipad make it unplayable. Add tap navigation its 2023.
It took us a bit to figure out theres a joystick overlay. We struggled to pick a name due to sensitivity. Really not sure why touch controls arent a thing here.
Only 4 hours in, and overall the gameplay is a fun, addictive loop. 5 stars and worth $10 if they fix the crashing. The game is more like a turn based version of Diablo/war frame/etc in the sense that youre constantly grinding for materials for upgrades and new summons. However, there is no auto save and the game constantly crashes, resetting your progress. It happens every 30 minutes or so. Ive tried to be more diligent with saving, but it still feels bad losing randomized drops. Im sure end game it would matter less, but our current experience goes like this: playing pyromancer>saving frequently> finally get a drop that interacts with burning debuff>game crashes and its gone forever. Will likely refund, but if the bugs get worked out we would absolutely play it again. We dont have high hopes this long after release though.
After killing a False God and selecting an anointment, half the time the game crashes when either trying to open a chest or save the game. This causes you to not only lose the rewards, including the anointment, but also clears the False God mission for some dumb reason. This ruins an otherwise great game for us, and we recommend no one purchase this game until the bug is fixed.
The game is making us use the screen like a controller, but its too sensitive and so we cant select what we want. We dont see an option to just tap the screen instead of using the on screen controller. Im on iphone 13 mini. Maybe it would work better on a larger phone or something, but for us its not playable.
The title may be a tad bit biased because we have been following this game since it was on kick starter in 2020. Yes, we were a backer. The game was so ambitious that it was the one and only games we have ever backed on kick starter. We were a 50$ donor and we dont regret a single penny. Siralim Ultimate is a game that has infinite replay-ability and seemingly endless content. This game is better than most AAA titles being released today. The level of depth in this game is mind blowing. Strategy and team building are loads of fun and intuitive. Sure the pixel art our not be your high end graphics but we think it fits the game perfectly. We would recommend this game to anyone. Summary, You need this game. Thanks zack.
First off, its a whole game provided for what you pay. No extra charges, no ads, no time gates. Its a monster collecting game/final fantasy like rpg. Its complex but in a good way. There is a lot to understand but because of the variety of monsters there are so many different ways to play. Its a grindy game and has a lot end game progression loops. The enemy teams become more and more OP and while you are legit strong you will randomly run into a team that counters you so hard. Try the game out! You will not be disappointed. Its the best APP game we have come across in over 10 years. We appreciate the developer/s that made it. Thanks so much and keep up the good work.
This is the game we dreamed about as a kid! Amazing gameplay, depth, music and graphics. Love. It. 235 hours later: Please tell whoever came up with Crounge, Budget Botanist and Vickie Torious thanks for an unexpected laugh. Ive been under a lot of stress and have just busted out laughing. Art: Some themes that 80s designers wanted to put in are finally here: gore, aesthetic nudity, sexuality, etc. This is all done well, without distracting the gameplay. The art also has some modern tips of the hat including rainbows and androgyny. The random color palettes look good, from harmonious to jarring and glitchy on a high Realm Instability. Depth: Insanely deep. Ive maybe gotten our team / castle half where we want it. This game is still not yielding too much too quickly. Its awesome that things you want to get are all tantalizingly displayed before you en masse. Writing: Tremendously effective, with occasional humor and meta references. THANK YOU to whoever wrote all the creature lore and one-liners when you visit your active team. Variety: There are SO many play styles and strategies. We started with a noob all-purpose team but graduated to a nasty (as in half the time win before turn 1) all-Abomination team. Inclusion abilities let you complete parties where sigils only grant bonuses to a single creature race. For certain situations we put a (spoiler) blendable aggro Tartarith in our team instead. There are also a TON of challenges that force you to make special teams up. This helps you make some crazy teams with styles you never thought of ever as a gamer. Differences from Siralim 3: Better redone creature abilities off from the start. Missing multiplayer a little but dont need it, please dont add it. Level play time: under 5 minutes to 1 1/2 hours in rare cases where youre like auuugggh, we need to sleep, where the #%^* is that piece of pixel trash we need or entangled in an awesomely deep, evenly matched fight or two. Once you win a tough fight, you can brag in public about how you won. We LOVE how Vacuum can be used for practically any trait, letting your team siphon a boss ability. Fights are really like puzzles where you analyze the enemy and then undo them as best you can. Overwhelming stats? Cool. One-hits? Sure! Slow lock-style abilities? Go ahead! You really can create a fiendishly clever team. Sometimes pieces to the solution are missing and it still ends up an enjoyable slugfest where the fun is not even knowing you may win. Rating: A+++++. Our only requests: Being able to have the interface bring you back to whichever race you were just summoning. Otherwise you have to summon, flip through, summon, flip through. Also can the history be listed in reverse order with the C button? When we want to check it its usually to see why a creature just died. Thank you SO, SO MUCH. As far as Im concerned this game really is perfect for letting out the awestruck kid in you. We grew up in the 1980s learning programming and playing Tunnels of Doom and this game is a long-dormant fantasy come true.
Honestly one of the best phone games we have ever played. Really well put together, with an amazing strategy depth. To the dev we love it, we know its a paid game, but if you put in a skin shop, or something vanity like that, we think it would do pretty well. More for people like us that just want to show support to you and your game. Keep up the great work.
Warframe veterans will understand the complexity and the process of playing Siralim Ultimate. Youll always invest a considerable amount of time into acquiring game knowledge (the majority is available in the actual game) and strategizing your party setup. When you finally have your creatures and your gear fine tuned, you begin steamrolling enemies and levels. You start choosing the most difficult and rewarding levels, and steamroll those. You get more loot than you can imagine. You expand your castle, much like a dojo in Warframe, and you can decorate it with a platitude of items, including hundreds of plushies. Minus the multiplayer, this is our stand in for Warframe mobile. Siralim Ultimate shares the occasional string of grind after grind, but always has something waiting at the end of the grind tunnel.
Great game but would love cool controller support.
One of the deepest games we have ever played. After hundreds of hours we still have things to do and goals to achieve! Always ways to develop your team so you feel like you are constantly improving your team every time you play.
Born in 87, we got to see it all; the wonderful DnD like/RPG standards set, to Pokmon taking the world by storm upon its release. Ive been fortunate enough to have been along for the entire ride of Siralims saga. Each iteration feels more polished than the last. Every game has introduced more mechanics, while expanding on the fascinating and charming lore of the series. Siralim Ultimate lives up to its name – Ultimate in the sense of the Siralim experience in its entirety. The different realms/worlds (that are randomly generated EACH visit mind you!) are nice for their variance. Progression doesnt feel like you finished a goal, but something more fulfilling. You feel accomplished. Seemingly overwhelming at first, the game mechanics have been refined even further. The effort that went into this game is clearly reflected by the value you get out of it. The thousands of hours that are possible make this probably the most underrated, valued gem in the genres history. Please support the developer. For those who are wondering – the cross-platform/cloud saving feature works FLAWLESSLY. Transfer your save from PC (we play on Steam), to iOS seamlessly, all in game. Siralim Ultimate has undoubtedly raised the bar in the monster catching genre. Best described as, an adult-oriented Pokmon like game (in the sense of catching/collecting and fighting a team of monsters), with a heavy dose of RPG elements. You will not be disappointed at any price. This game is easily worth double whatever price youre looking at right now.
Great game and you can save your files and play on the PC or Phone.
Siralim Ultimate is such an amazing game. Literally the best mobile game Ive ever played. Ive logged almost 24 hours on this game and there is still so much to do. Throws us back to the Dragon Quest Warrior Monsters days. So much depth and so much to min max. Amazing game.
Ive played the whole series and we loved the previous installments and Ultimate brings so much more to the table. Ultimate even combines features from the first game with features from the second and third. This game provides endless amounts of content that will satisfy you for hundreds of hours. Ive sunk only 20 hours into this game and we havent hit any major bug/problems besides one. Right after we hit the 20 hour mark in our Reaver play through we saved the game and when we came back the save file was gone. We wasnt saving via cloud and we didnt delete it. It was a minor annoyance but we restarted and Im still playing it. We would recommend this to anybody who loves RPGs or who loves to spend hours optimizing a team.
Huge fan of the game for computer, and was very excited to get the iOS version. Downloaded, and opened up to the menu screen. And no matter what we do, we cant click on any of the menu options or anything else. Ive tried quitting and reopening, restarting the phone, all the usuals, but no dice. Im not sure whats going on but we hope it fixes soon so we can play the game.
Its hard to believe games for iOS exist without touch controls. This is one of them. For $9.99 we expect a game to be properly ported to iOS. Instead, you get a virtual touchpad and a and b buttons. Horrendous experience.
We started playing on our iPad and the layover dpad controls are not moveable and block the text. No touch controls. Now our joystick and buttons are gone/invisible. Even if we star a new game. We are guessing this iPad port was an afterthought cash grab. It is actually literally unplayable in this state. We know its supposed to be a great game but utterly unplayable as is. We are going get a refund. Devs should be ashamed.
Endless playability. We are a big fan of the series, and Ultimate is our favorite installment yet! Incredible improvements across the board, and the previous games were already ones we thoroughly enjoyed.
We have hours spent playing this game on steam. We intend to have many more here as well.
