The free version of Songbringer is limited to playing through the initial dungeon. A purchase unlocks the entire game so you can play beyond the first dungeon.

Songbringer is a sci-fi action RPG with swords, secrets, dungeons, bosses and stuff.
You play the role of protagonist and accidental hero, Roq Epimetheos. With a propensity for partying and making music, he cruises the galaxy with his skybot Jib aboard the ship Songbringer, searching for verdant planets absent the presence of galactic police.

When Roq finds the nanosword hidden in a cave on Ekzerra, he unwittingly awakens an ancient evil…

  • Enter a 6-letter deterministic seed to procedurally generate your world. Share this seed with friends or play a new seed and surprise yourself.
  • Explore 10 dungeons in each world where puzzles, quests and bosses await you.
  • Discover lost artefacts to aid your mission and combine them to craft new weaponry.
  • Eat cacti and meditate to gain special powers and uncover secrets.

Includes DLC content: The Trial of Ren. Discover the whereabouts of the mysterious Ren and undertake his trial in the hopes of achieving spiritual ascension! Craft new items to power up Roq and top the leaderboards by overcoming the new enhanced difficulty mode.

  • A new combat-focused dungeon featuring remixed enemies and a new boss.
  • Two new craftable weapons, the Flamethrower and the Hyper Boots.
  • Battle Meditation, a new item that can power up your partner!
  • Eiael’s Snare, a new item that increases your final score, but also grants all bosses new special attacks and increases the difficulty of enemies.

This game is great and we want a true planet expansion sequel. Im on our 5th go around, well, actually 4th but whos counting? Thank you for making this wondrous creation.

Enjoying it, totally worth the $4.

Got the full version, its really great. Our only problem is that after getting Eiaels snare the bosses are impossible to beat. Sort of loses the fun. We’ve gotten all the items now and theyre still just too difficult to beat. Even dropping all the kilobombs and regular bombs. Great music. Fun. We think its dope!

This is an excellent dungeon delver in the traditions of NES Zelda but with a more sci-fi setting and slightly different perspective. The only caveat for us is lack of controller support. The touch screen controls are actually pretty solid, but this is a game that screams controller to us. Hopefully as more DLC comes its something that will get updated in the future. Until then, Im off to explore.

This game is very reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda for the NES. Its super fun to explore, the combat is simple and satisfying, the puzzles are neat, the story is interesting, the dialogue is funny with Roq being one of the most relatable characters in gaming, the enemies have interesting designs, the graphics are great, the animation is flawless, and we’ve only just beat the first dungeon. We decided to buy the full version and we are extremely happy we decided to do so. Its clear a lot of passion went into this game, and its bursting with charm! Our only gripe with the game is that the controls are a little annoying to deal with, but that may be because Im playing this game on an iPhone. This game feels like it belongs on the Nintendo Switch rather than on the AppStore. If youre on the fence about whether or not to get the full version of this game, we say go for it. Hope to see more quality titles like this in the future!

Hi, did you fix the teleport bug after 2nd dungeon yet? Wanna leave ya a great review Will update.

We love it. Also the negative reviews are hilarious (mostly) but ya some of the bugs are annoying.

It is a super well down mobile game we just wish it had more story and a sense of direction but other then that it was a really fun experience and exactly what Im looking to fo in our free time.

The game is great overall in our opinion theres a lot to explore and to do. You can upgrade your character and fight a lot of mini and big bosses in dungeons. A great game to kill time offline the only thing that need to be fixed ASAP is the teleported to the airship to song bringer you cant even click to teleport or chose where its like off the map to the side to choose where to go and to top it of you cant even go to that spot it needs to be fixed but anything else we do recommend it for download.

You should add more clothes and armor Bc is boring by looking at youre charter over and over again.

This game is super pretty and has great style and potential. The problem for us are mechanics and visibility. When Im playing, we can only see a tiny pet of the screen because of the controls and this can work like in hyperlite drifter, but because here were on tiles, we cant see most of whatever tile Im on. This, for us makes it unplayable. Also, it takes WAY too long to take out your sword and you have to get way too close to loot to get it. A more significant story would help as well. If there are updates to the game Ill definitely try it again, but as is its not worth it.

We feel like this game tries too hard to seem like zelda. The concept isnt super interesting and nothing is explained at the beginning and theres basically no tutorial, leaving you to have to figure out what a couple pixels on your screen mean. The design is sort of overcrowded and nothing gives you a clue as to what to do. Theres not a lot of originality and the writing isnt great but the colors and art style are pretty well done.

Theres no tutorial; we have no idea what Im doing. Also, the pixel art is beautiful, but we cant tell what anything on the HUD is. Even if there was a tutorial, make the controls, buttons, and items recognizable so we can remember what they are.

Another one where you need to pay to play and its only a pixelated game it HAD potential but the developers had to ruin it.

DO NOT LABLE YOUR GAME FREE IF YOUR GONNA CHARGE US FOR THE GAME LATER. That said good pixel art and controls, and will always be a Zelda clone in our eyes because this is eccenually what you’ve done. All but the story (and some quality of life add ons) are all you’ve changed in our eyes. Good game but you can do better.

This game has no plot. Thats a problem because Im asking myself what the heck Im doing and why do we care. Whats the objective of the gameplay? Wandering around and whacking whatever moves is not compelling. Is there a princess? Something? This graphic style has been used very successfully in games we’ve played before, but in this one we cant even tell what Im looking at half the time. We thought his sidekick was a chicken for a while. Eventually we decided its a robot, but Im not certain. The boomerangy thingy looks like a toaster or a handbag. The bomb looks nothing like a bomb. Its clearly zelda. We even recognize panes of the zelda world map lifted whole cloth. We assume level design is accomplished simply by randomizing a copy of the zelda map based on the seed. Its a fine try but Im getting tired of playing half-baked games. Theres a seed of an idea here but an RPG without a story and interesting characters is just not a finished game. This is an MVP. Add whats missing. Keep trying. Good luck.

Its a demo that tries to charge you before you can even play the game. Dont label the game as free when it isnt. Intentionally deceptive and misleading.

So how do we play? Are the creatures on the screen enemies? Because they just blob around and do nothing. Why is it so hard to walk around without getting stuck on the environment? 0 world building 0 information 0 gameplay. We enjoy difficult games and we enjoy figuring stuff out on the fly, but literally every aspect of the gameplay experience begged us to delete this game. And we have. One star for nice colors and art, otherwise it would be zero.

Killed the first boss three times and it crashes each time. Dont waste your money on it.

Its games like this that frustrate us. Because you can see the potential. But you cant get through the first hour because of the complete lack of any sense of what to do. Literally nothing is explained. Even what basic functionality each action does. Or what to do, where to go, why to do anything. How to equip anything. Or even if something is equipped. How to pick up anything. How to move or why. At this point Im wondering why Im even writing this. If you decide to overcome this and everything else that pushes you not to play this game, maybe just maybe there is something decent behind it? But its a masterclass in what developers should not do. Completely non engaging.

Smooth mechanics, excellent action rpg and it has MFi controller support! We played through the demo (huge demo in our opinion) and now own the full game. Its totally worth it.

This game is seriously underrated. Its a great game, awesome storyline, great graphics and art style, and good controls and mechanics. Worth the money for the full version. Finished in 5 hours with 41% items so there is a lot to explore. Buy It. Also just a note for the developer the teleport is kinda broken it gets stuck on the inventory screen.

If you havent played this on a console or pc yet, this would be a perfect time. It also has controller support. Its Zelda-like pixel heaven! Also, if you beat the game, you can continue your journey to complete what has not been done. Sounds, gameplay, and of course, graphics are top-notch. The games value more than surpasses its cost.

Gameplay is smooth and intuitive, audio is really unique and puts you in a dreamlike mindset. Graphics seem a bit simple at first but as we played they grew on us. Play the demo and then totally pay the 4.00 for the whole game. Thank you for making this game with some heart.

We only tried the demo, so we cant really say much. The dealbreaker for us was the humor. The tutorial starts with your character making a joke about breaking the fourth wall, so within seconds you can already tell: Its that kind of writing. Unfortunately, the cringecore humor kept up for as long as we could bear playing the demo. Maybe its not so bad in the full version, but we just couldnt justify spending money on this game.

The teleport to get you back to the songbringer after defeated the second dungeon doesnt work. It leaves you stuck on the items menu screen. Annoying. 3 star, id like a refund. What a shame because we actually enjoy playing until this happened.
