Highly replayable and loaded with strategy. We dig this game and play it daily.
This is the only NFT play to earn game with a phone compatible app. Granted there are many more features on a computer – but we personally enjoy playing the matches on our phone. Earning about $10 per day and expect to have 160% ROI after first year. New cards were released so its a great time to jump in. This is way better than MTG because the original cards are better than the new and you can sell/rent your investments instead of throwing money away. Biggest NFT game 550k daily players. We got the spellbook now. We had to add our card to our PayPal account. We think that this game being mobile will give it way more opportunities to blow its just a matter of time But the splinterlands site doesnt load on mobile.
Not sure why this doesnt have loads of 5 star reviews but we’ve been playing the game for years, it has the highest value and upside of any nft/crypto game, hands down.
One of the first games we discovered in the Hive Neighborhood in the Metaverse. Hive is an amazing place. We also love how they connect to multiple blockchains. And cant believe that 12$ piece of land we bought is worth what it is. We hope it becomes as valuable as an AW piece of land. We do not play much but we love collecting the cards and playing every now and again but now that we see its on here, we might play more. So much going on in the space. After seeing the Cardano Summit Im not sure how to feel about the future for our children.

We love the splinterlands game its really fun. This review is for the app. This iOS app is so buggy its constantly freezing. It freezes mid battle so we have to exit the app and reload it and go to the battle log to see if we won. Also sometimes when we click battle it also freezes and we have to reopen the app to get into the battle selection. Please fix these bugs so we can give it 5 stars.

This app glitches to much. Ill be playing and the app freezes. Theres times where selecting cards the timer counts down to zero and its still loading. We have to close the app and reopen it to get it to work. Ill be able to play 1 or 2 games then it glitches out.
Dont get us wrong, we love the crap out of this game. But for a week, we wasnt able to get on to play on our computer because our wifi went out, so we thought hey, Ill just use our phone and play on the app then! Unfortunately, every other game is a coin flip of whether the app will give us a network error, or if the team we submit actually goes through. We’ve lost countless games just because of the app crashing and of course, thats super frustrating. However, this is truly an amazing game. The gameplay and economy are quite interesting and addicting. For anyone reading this, play the game! Just not the appplay on their official website instead.

3 years later and this game still has horrible mechanics. Dont invest your time and money into it. You wont win. You wont earn anything. Game is 50% luck. Might as well play chutes and ladders. It requires the same amount of planning and skill. Idk how this game is even allowed to be on the App Store. The app is glitchy crashes constantly and you cant do half the things you should/need to, to play the game.
We are into blockchain and love the new(not so new) tech, but want to play this simple game on our tablet (not worth firing up a real computer to play) . Just got kicked from a guild(did not get any real benefits from being in one and they were not very helpful) cause we could not brawl on the tablet, tried and tried but otherwise the guild talked about spending lots $$$ (hundreds @ a time)of real money for the limited dark crystals on other sites(off platforms) and also buying with that bought currency off platform the cards(very unfair to serious players that are not pay 2 play) and want a real value with their time playing the game . So good idea but unless you are willing to put down a lot of cash off platform these guys are a joke on mobile(the computer version might be different than this get to mobile version). UPDATE: we had to lower the stars for this app. They now advertise some new currency (so we think they have 3 different currencies now?) that you have to go on a computer to get? Lousy devs do not care for mobile players and we feel like a 3rd class citizen (just like in America!) pay to play and no representation to the $ we had to spend just to get the dark crystals and a name in the first place! Not worth it and would avoid the mistake we made by funding this garbage, maybe on Steam you get something? But dont use computers to play anything, would rather play our PS5!
This game is unplayable just on your mobile, the amount of hoops you have to jump through just to get your account funded with either DEC or SPS is annoying and impossible with the app on your phone. If you have no decent knowledge of dexs and crypto. Dont even waste your time. Experienced Bugs on mobile, game needs a lot of work.

The only time you can spend money on we phone is the spell book. We’ve played for 2 days and got nothing but quest rewards, the worst part is we logged in on our browser and tried to verify our account. It hasnt worked after 9 attempts at different times of day. So yeah, we cant cash in, out, improve, or play with anything but starter cards till season end.

Love that we own the assets in this game. NFTs are so hot right now and Splinterlands has mastered the genre off CCG and NFTs. We are borderline addicted to this game. We played 300 matches last season. Big things coming in 2021. Also to the person that complains that the spellbook costs $10. Think of it as an investment. You are earning crypto as you play.

Its like party rules for every match. Collectibles, whats not to love? We hope you keep developing this game. A few issues that we have is that sometimes a match freezes and we have to restart, although the game technically happened and nothing is lost, we still would like to see some of these issues ironed out.
We found this in early development and played for the last 2+ years. The interest we earn from the assets we hold in game, and the income we generate from playing have increased in value enough recently to allow us to stop working a full time job at a hotel to just play around with this game in the #Hive blockchain environment. Come and see ya hat all the noise is about!!!

This game is amazing! You actually own your cards and can trade or sell them to other players. We enjoy using the desktop version, but this iOS app really makes it easy to play on the go and earn those sweeeet rewards!!!
A game that focuses more on monetization that gameplay, what could go wrong.
Decided to try something other than Magic and wish we hadnt. Tutorial mode is bugged on iOS. Tried playing a match and it lasted about 30 seconds. Nope. Too simple.
