You are no hero … no prancing knight or scholarly wizard but a champion of the dark gods. As their chosen, you have command of legions of barbarians, beastmen and demons. Wield unholy strength, necromancy and hellfire to bring ruin to the civilized realms. Honor your gods on the bloody fields of battle in a quest for power and ascension.

Demon’s Rise 2 is a turn-based, tactical RPG set in a brutal and unforgiving fantasy world. Taking place amidst a horrific war in the cold north, the campaign will see your party fight innumerable enemies, huge monsters and powerful sorcerers. Victory will require the tactical use of terrain, morale, formations and magic. Build an increasingly powerful war band, command demonic allies, and crush those that stand against you.

  • Tactical Choices: Use terrain effects, cover and line of sight to gain an edge over your enemies. Employ spells to hinder powerful enemies, area effect damage to clear the field of lesser foes and buffs to strengthen your allies.

  • Build Your Party: Choose from 24 diverse character classes to build your war band. Your warriors will improve with every victory, becoming stronger and unlocking new powers and skills. Acts of courage and savagery on the battlefield will bring favor from your gods, which can mean the difference between glory and defeat.

  • Collect Gear: Equip your warriors with powerful weapons, arcane objects, runic armor and legendary artifacts. There are thousands of items to find and collect, each with their own stat effects and background lore.

  • Campaign: Fight through a lengthy campaign and numerous side quests that span more than 80 hours of play time. No level caps and the ability to replay levels at a harder difficulty add to the longevity.

  • Engaging Lore: Immerse yourself in the history of Tarren, the world of Demon’s Rise. A land of broken empires and shattered kingdoms where armies of humans, demons and other races fight for bitter survival.

Hear from the Players – Demon’s Rise 2: Lords of Chaos Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Demon’s Rise 2: Lords of Chaos:

The game crashes every time it tries to load the sixth campaign level.

Slow stupid and wrong for iPhone. Plus its all about being evil. We hate it and want our money back.

These demon rise games beat almost every other tbs game. Freemium, one time, and one time with in app purchases. If you min/max you will have to raise the difficulty as your party gets incredibly strong once youve got ability point generation and damage for auto attackers. But the story is ok. The champions are great and you know what youre getting. Youll get about 10 hours out of this if you grind, which is not necessary for normal difficulty. But its a good 10 hours with replay ability. Its not FF tactics but theres only one game in the App Store that is, thats more expensive and most of us have already owned it twice. Highly recommend and will keep looking for Demons Rise 3 or other titles. We know theres a new one and we didnt fancy the way it looked, but having playing this again Im going to take another look.

Great game. Only complaint is we want moooar!!!!!!

There is potential for something amazing in this game but we dont know if the devs are ever going to pursue it. The mechanics are good but the maps are small. It would be great to see some open maps with options. Also wish they wouldve changed some things from the first game. They switched the characters and optimized some interface but its almost exactly the same. Not even sure why there is a world map when you cant do anything four read about a place that you will never visit in game. We hope there is an update for it and we get to play more campaigns.

We enjoy this game so very much! Great time consumer! As every other customer/reviewer, we have just a few requests. Only two though! One: would you mind making the maps just a bit bigger because with that many heroes and enemies on screen it can get kind of tight. Two: could you maybe add just a few more character to help finish off some of the heroes collections we already have, if yall dont mind that is. At least on giant female character would be cool like some elephant lady god or something cool idk, and one smaller deadly character like a red cap or an imp or deadly gnome or something. Other than that keep up the awesome work because we love it when devs update regularly so keep it up! Oh and thank you! UPDATE: okay we finally thought of something, can yall add a Banshee, a powerful poltergeist, evil butcher (with like a huge cleaver), musketeer black dwarf with a spawnable cannon. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Ill never get back the few hours we wasted on Wavelight Games. The developers should be ashamed of themselves. Im a fool for buying this.

… Just some things I’d like to point out. 1. The game crashes way too much, especially during Story Battle 10, where it is guaranteed to crash at least once (for us anyway). Whenever we reload the auto-save, we can carry on as normal but then it’ll crash without fail. We cannot get past Story Battle 10 as a result. 2. The screenshots show a button at the bottom left that allows you to select your next hero. It’s missing in our game, though. Was it removed in an update? 3. In the shop/inventory management screen, there have been more than one instance where our items vanish into thin air while moving them but accidentally click on an empty spot. It’s painful because there have been some legendary items that we bought with our hard-earned cash, and all we did was tap the screen somewhere else by mistake and it’s lost forever… 4. The fade-to-black transitions from menu to menu take too long. Should be much faster. Speaking of faster… 5. … Whenever we go to the shop or inventory management, it shows a message then after about five seconds the button to take us to the desired screen appears. Why can’t the button be there right at the start? Why do we have to wait? There is a lot of unnecessary waiting in this game. 6. We should be able to select multiple heroes whenever we want to switch them out, not be forced to switch them one by one. Again, it wastes time. If we need to switch out our team, we don’t want to have to go to the hero selection screen, pick a hero, go through another long fade-to-black transition before returning to the menu, then repeat the process for the other five heroes. 7. The font in the hero selection/status screens is too small. We’re using an iPhone 6, which to us is quite big so the font size should be appropriately big enough too. Perhaps if you make the font bigger, but spread the heroes’ information over two pages, that’d be great. We really love this game, really we do. There is so much depth and strategy involved and leveling up our heroes is a lot of fun. But these issues hamper our enjoyment which is why for now we are giving it four stars instead of the five we’re itching to give. You’re a great developer and we love what you’re doing in the community so please hear us out and fix these in a future update.

We downloaded the app to support the developer at its initial launch..a mistake we didn’t do with the first one(got it november 2) and we’re planning to finish that before we try this. The first game proved started out great then got better with its huge roaster of characters, use of cover, lengthy campaign and graphical settings. This new entry packs that plus more as the game comes full circle with you playing as the bad guys from the first one. It just feels more polished and refined overall!!! Upadate 12/16/16 our statement stills stands, even though the sum of the characters might be lowered compared to the first, the game outshines it in every other aspect!!! Update: Monday October 16, 2017 we just re downloaded Demons Rise2 to play it again yesterday after 10 months and to compare it to demon rise1. Demons rise 2 has come a long way, since we first installed it, with the addition of 5 new characters for a current total of 17, A major UI overhaul and better anti aliasing. Unfortunately, we have also noticed in our short time playing some flaws to the game now because of the new additions. First off, the title screen seems more fluent in texture as well as the menu which is still the same, But the problem lies within the gameplay itself because of the changes. The path finding has been reworked but the green tile indicators seem very translucent to the point where it seems like it was copied and pasted to the ground itself which is very disorienting. The ability to rotate the map with fingers is gone, which is not a negative, and instead is moved with the arrows to allow better map detection with the addition of a on screen slider for zooming in and out for better graphical details. The main problems are the translucent tile indicators and the choppy slider plus animations. All in all, the game has fantastic additions yet the flaws are that now it does not feel as smooth in combat. (Of course we still love it) Developers response update: Friday, October 20, 2017 Since the developer responded to our current review within 4 days, we shall like to point out that we have gotten used to the new tile system and update overall. The slider really does not clutter the screen since it’s at the far side of the screen, and the zooming/panning still does work with fingers. This review is not meant to be negative in any way!

Enjoyable game with real tactical depth. Great response from developer on feedback about bugs.

Edit: So first off, we apparently can’t read. When we read update notes (that just popped yesterday) we thought it said something different. Our apologies! Now that the dev has released their third title (definitely check it out, as it’s DR in space!) we’re hoping they will continue to update this app to further content, which it seems they are doing. We would be good with one time IAP add on content to add a expanded campaign too. Own every title this developer offers; all three are good games and impressive for an indie developer. Better than 95% of the games on the App Store.

DR2 is our go to mobile game. Great characters , build that team to fight awesome monsters. Use cover tactics and strategic moves to beat monsters. Active developer listens and makes game better constantly. Hits that sweet spot for us in a game, if u like Xcom, this is your game. Update 1.2 adds new movement values, you can move, attack and move again. Game got even better. Bugs fixed game even better. Get this RPG .

We started playing this game when we found it accidentally looking for a role playing dice app. This game has been the most fun turn-based strategy game we have found as an app; we’re a real fan of the first one too. The reason there are many reviews for this game is that it doesn’t come up in any of the searches for some reason; but if you have found it you have found a rare gem of the game one that we would highly recommend.

A great sequel that includes pretty much all the refinements added to the original, now with an evil-aligned class selection. Having loads of fun with it. This is easily one of the best tactical rpg series on the app store. Bring on demon’s rise 3!!

Does anybody know if there will be more campaign added ?? Only 30 levels.

Very impressed by the depth of gameplay and differences in characters. A much deeper ability to grind up characters and create builds than we’ve seen on mobile. Feels just as good as FF Tactics or Disgaea.

This is an amazing game with an amazing developer! No crashes at all here and the game is superb. Awesome graphics, loot, lots of classes, and fun tactical turn style gameplay. The dev keeps adding new classes too!

Not a bad game, but not great either. It’s fairly easy with the right team to complete the game on any difficulty. The screen gets cluttered late in the game making it difficult to choose proper squares for targeting. We wouldn’t suggest buying this at $7 unless there will be additional content.

Loved the first game, but was very disappointed at how short the story and campaign was. For the price, it should have offered many more hours of new game play. We beat the whole thing by level 7 and it only took us a few days. Wasn’t all that difficult either. We assumed that it was because Demon Rise 2 had been released and they stopped supporting the original. But then we downloaded 2 and found out that it has the same number of quests!! This is a sleezy way of squeezing a few more dollars out of the few fans that you have. Demon Rise 2 should have just been a content update for the first one, and the fans shouldn’t have had to drop 7 bucks just to get it. But you can bet your sweet megabyte that if the developers don’t add a substantial amount of content to Demon Rise 2, then this is one person who definitely won’t be buying Demon Rise 3. And we will recommend the same thing to every single gamer we know.

Crashes on loading screen after we select a save slot.. Can we have our money back please and thank you? Have tried reloading and reinstall app.

Pretty sad when the author of this game cannot give a match where it’s not you versus 15-20 enemies every match. Absolutely ruined by this. Not to mention the classes are just dumb characters the author came up with. Overall a very poor tactics game. There are much better options out there. We recommend avoiding this one.

Excellent game! Active and involved dev! Constant updates, including new content, free! Great game. Update: New character and changes to the game make an already great game even better. Most excellent! Really loving this one.

Love this game. Many playable characters and lots of skills. This is a turn-based tactical RPG with a lot of difficulty settings. Really enjoying it. For reference we also loved FFTactics, the Fire Emblem games, and Steamworld Heist.

$3.00 more than demons rise 1 and it doesn’t even have half of the characters. Hardly any good healing characters and some really corny ones. Highly disappointed considering demons rise 1 was our favorite cell phone app game of all time. We’ll play that any day over this one. Do not buy. Not sure what the guy above us is talking about. Lots of characters? There’s not even half of the original amount. Its terrible, they probably put all their money into a better graphics engine and ran out of cash. Now they have to raise the price to finish it.

Like a fantasy X-Com from an evil fantasy perspective. Well supported by an engaged developer, free content updates… Why are you still reading this? Go buy it!

Hope you have some free time because once this game gets ahold of you- good luck! Amazing strategy, balance, graphics, sounds, characters, pretty much amazing all around. Love every second of playing it.

If you wanted something like Warhammer Quest but more difficult, and more interesting loot and characters, this is it!

Crashes too much, very disappointed. One star until we can fully play the game, waste of money… Update—problem fixed and impressive how much they update, adding cloud saving was a must as updates are large and we sometimes delete game to reinstall for update.. Great game and great support…

This is what the App Store needs. Amazing TB action that works flawlessly on touch devices.

With all the improvements the developer has made since the first title, this has become the standard for turn based strategy on iOS. Stable and tons of fun.

Loved the first one. Our type of game. But we’re not hearing full sound on the second one. Using we pad 3 10.1. Tried to delete it then re downloaded still very little sound effects and no music at all. Have both set to 100 percent this really takes away from the game love to hear the roar of flame and the beat of wings. Hope you can help us fix this have plenty of storage space and no other apps running. Any ideas to fix this would be great. Anyway thanks for making such a fabulous turn based game. Totally worth every penny then some.

The new speed option makes the game so much better and fun to play. Very active dev that listens to people’s suggestions and is adding new content all the time. This is a great game and up there with the best of the best turned based titles!

One of the best SRPG on the App Store. This game is very polished and beautiful crafted. This developer put a lot of time and effort into this game and it shows. Looking forward to the many patches and add ons. Please support quality developers like this one.

Great second game from this dev. We like playing as the villains for a change and we really appreciate the atmospheric attention to detail. The setting and character models are great and we look forward to future updates with additional characters. For us, this was a great buy for $5 and we would recommend it to others.

We’ve already spent more than 25 hours playing this game as it scratched that tactical RPG itch. Not only that, but the developer has always improved the games consistently after launch so we’re looking forward to seeing the coming changes. Lots of fun with good characters and some interesting battles. Highly recommend it.

A premium experience, well worth the price if you enjoy this genre.

A true sequel. A fantastic blend of new characters and storyline with a familiar gameplay. Amazing. We’re loving the strategy involved. It’s a fun kind of challenge. Somehow, we’re enjoying this even more than it’s prequel. Thank you to the developer.

If you buy this game, you will be treated to a continuous flow of updates and additions from a developer who listens to all feedback. Very rare nowadays!

If you love SRPGs, this game is a must buy. It’s solid, great gameplay, great character development, and great strategy. We like it so much we purchased the first one to support the indie dev!

If you like strategy gaming, get this game. The developer is always updating and takes the player seriously.

Really fun SRPG. Great characters with a variety of skills. Other features we like :Morale system, inventory management, good variety of enemies, nice artwork, decent enemy ai, and a very dedicated developer. If you like turn based squad level strategy, you’ll love the Demon’s Rise series!

We can’t even get past tutorial. It crashes every time it takes us to the "this is what your screen looks like during battle" page. We’ll start over, get past the first dummy battle, continue to next screen and choose the first option and crash, repeat. ** Actually crashes during gameplay too.

Glitches every time we use Mutation, Void Walker ability 2…
