Find out what gamers are saying about SRPG Legna Tactica:

Great game so far. Final Fantasy Tactics vibe, which was what we were looking for.

Story is great characters are awesome. This game worth so much more than four bucks.

If you miss games like ogre tactics and final fantasy tactics this is the game for you. Its got a great lively cast and good variety of roles and characters.

Great game! Just like Final Fantasy Tactics, but fit for the iPhone! Still early in the game for us, but great job guys. Definitely Kemco and Hit Points best game so far. Excellent addition!!!

Legna tactics came up when we were reading about another game. As a self proclaimed lover of SRPG we couldnt pass up the opportunity to play even though the game had IAPs. As mentioned by the developers the game can be played from start to finish without needing the said IAPs . Although the TCP shop does allow you to get certain items early on that you would only be able to get near the mid-to-end of the game. We played with the double experience, double gold and double items gained options turned on. This does reduce the grind by a lot so our experience could be a little biased. Story : The story of Legna tactics is around war and the consequences of war. It revolves mainly around 2 childhood friends that have different visions/approaches about how to get rid of war. The story is definitely not unique but the pacing and treatment is great here. There are a few issues early on and then mid-to-late game but they can be overlooked. Some of them could be due to translation issues or cultural differences between Japan and the west. Overall the story kept us interested and there were some twists and turns that we had not expected. The game does have a few places where the story would play out differently if questions are answered differently. We counted not less than 4 different places. Graphics: The graphics for the most part are pretty good. The whole battlefield is available to view via 2 finger panning but there was no option to zoom in or out or to rotate. The cutscenes are using in-game engine and character sprites are visible while talking. The in game characters are similar to the artwork and we applaud the designers as each character is unique. All animations were good , that said, we will have to qualify that with saying that we are a big, big fan of tactics ogre and FFT graphics as the animation is superb and even on a gba very much discernible which is by no means an easy feat considering the low resolution and small screen size. Legna tactics does not approach the level of detail that FFT does but it is close. Gameplay: we would rate this as superb. There are no distinct job classes but each character and there are ~13+ recruitable characters in the game has their own unique skill set. The skills and their affect is what we loved about the game. They really have a very noticeable affect and the game allows you to reset and reallocate skill points anytime you want (called proficiency points in the game). The game does give out Proficiency points at a slow rate as they are tied to progression and not leveling. We also dont think you get enough by end game to have every skill maxed out. Weapons and accessories are available in each town and they are progressively better. Quests are implemented nicely that allow you to grind outside of main story and most of them have nice rewards in fact, the best equipment and accessories are available via quests earlier than they are available via shops (if they are available). Difficulty: we would rate it is moderate to hard difficulty especially if you are NOT using double experience, double gold and double items. End game bosses gave us some problems even then. Length: The game is about 30-40 hours long , it could be longer if you do all side quests. Some of the quests are repeatable and your main source of gold early on. Unique stuff: we thought the Titles system and how it tied to the TCP shop points and proficiency points (for skills) was an awesome idea implemented beautifully. The signpost that allows you to keep track of story and quests was also implemented very well. Overall we think this is a wonderful SRPG not to be missed.

Very nicely made game, SRPG fans will be delighted. Gameplay is fun, characters are customizable, and skill tree is nice to mess around with!

Wish there were more of these types of games. Sadly the selection is extremely limited.

Kemco really brings a lot of joy to those people who enjoyed srpg games and we really like them a lot. Very unique style of character customization, skills, very good story line. Almost the same as the legend of ixtona, fftactics. Thumbs up!!

Really great game. Great characters as well as mechanics. Well worth the 4 dollars.

When you look at everything on the App Store. It is overwhelmed with gacha rense and repeat games. This brings classic back to iOS. Good gameplay and story. We will keep buying these games from this creator.

We really didnt expect to like it this much. Its a fun old school srpg that scratches the itch for more games like FF Tactics. Its simple but enjoyable.

We know we are stepping on eggshells but its fun to level up and dominate the field. Unlike Tactics which became boring and frustrating. Awesome storyline. Great job people!

Any turn based retro rpg has our attention. The only cosmetic flaw we would change is the terrain. We don’t like the isometric blocks it just doesn’t feel right. However that’s not much to write home to so 10/10 stars.

Love this game, on par with ogre tactics.

This game is way close to FFT. Good job, Kemco.

This is exactly the game we were llomi g for a RPG tactics game that reminds us of FF Tactics not just in game play but stroy to. The story is different its not just a cheap knock off FYi. This game is well worth the few dollars we spent for it and we dont have to get hit worth micro transactions like lther games or need tp pat to unlock any chapters the game is paid for one and done. If you like FF tactics or tactics orge this is definitely the game for you when we Finnish This game ill definitely be checking lut some of they other games.

Similar to GBA game FFTA. The biggest difference is that there is a skill tree instead of jobs. Gameplay is pretty similar. The Good: 1)Easy to learn controls 2)English flows better than some of their other games 3)Lots of characters The Bad: 1)Heavy on the grinding 2)Limited skills 3)Moving around the map can be a little difficult when trying to use long range skills The Ugly: The characters are fuzzy looking But for only 4 dollars we’re glad we got it.

This game seems promising and reminds us of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance which we played ages ago. It seems promising despite us only playing it briefly so far. Graphics are decent. We just wish that there werent black bars on the edge of our phone screen. Im not sure when it was last updated, but hopefully they can make it full screen because then it would look better and be less distracting.

So far so good! Has many of the standard SRPG elements we like, such as height and terrain boosts and defense affected by direction you’re facing. The game has a map with towns and battlefields. Towns consist of item shops, gear shops, and a tavern for side quests. Side quests will provide you with plenty of money for purchases. The story is a bit more lighthearted than Final Fantasy Tactics and is interesting enough to keep a good pace in the game. The major difference in this game compared to FFT and others is that there is no job/class system. Instead, there’s a skill tree. While we normally prefer the characters to have classes, the way they implemented the skill tree is not bad at all. There’s no need for grinding. The game so far is not entirely difficult and there’s no perma-death. There’s a hard difficulty after you beat it supposedly so that’s good. There are in app purchases, but they are absolutely NOT necessary at all. Maybe they come in handy for hard mode. We don’t know. Overall, great game! Definitely worth the price. Edit: we finally finished the game. While it was very exciting to play in the beginning, it started to get pretty bland by the end. The maps were all similar and offered no need for different strategies. There is a New Game + with increased difficulty, but we doubt that’ll make a huge difference. It is a fun game. Just wish the later half had more variety.

While we were excited to hear that terrain and height advantages played a roll in this, Kemco’s 2nd SRPG production, but fairly disappointed when we really got into it. Yes, it did keep us playing for about 4 hours. Yes, we will finish it with the hopes that the added Hard Difficulty that’s unlocked after you complete the game will make it all worth it, though we’re not really expecting it ATM. If you’re familiar with the differences between FFT and FFTAdvance, you’ll probably get why we’re not having much fun. Your characters are crazy overpowered. There’s basically NO WAY you can loose a battle. It feels geared towards younger players or gamers that are not very familiar with tactics games. All of that aside, if you’re looking for a Final Fantasy Tactics ADVANCE type game, this would be one of very few iOS titles I’d recommend. However, if you’re looking for something with some actual strategy and tactical gameplay involved, you’ll probably be pretty disappointed. The only thing we can really gripe about is the camera control. It seems to flip out when you place two fingers on the screen and try to drag. There are no camera controls, and no options for turning the camera. To drag, you have to use two fingers, which is why it’s so strange that multitouch functionality is so wonky here. Outside of all of that – this is a fairly competent SRPG, and we hope that the teams of Kemco’s developers who take on this mighty challenge in the future keep building on this basic framework instead of taking two steps forward and three steps back (sadly, they are kind of becoming known for this these days…).
