Star Wars™: KOTOR II Reviews

Look up how to download the tslrcm mod and you will not put this game down. By far the best Star Wars game imo. Controls take a bit to get used to, maybe using a backbone can help that. Regardless, Im definitely going to be putting HOURS to this game.

The best game (series) we have ever played. However the ending is really a cliffhanger and is not satisfying. Make a conclusion game that can sync to your previous games or stories, and will conclude the series with the ending it deserves.

This is our favorite video game of all time. Always has been since it came out. Brilliant story, excellent gameplay, and we honestly think the visuals still hold up today. Aspyr has done an amazing thing putting two of the best games ever made on the App Store.

If you can overlook somewhat dated graphics, lack of class balance, and combat that is rarely challenging on max difficulty, then this iPhone game offers unparalleled value. Through rippling decisions and witty dialogue, it explores ethical gray areas and nuances. The complex character building systems and storylines allow for addictively immersive and replayable enjoyment. We selfishly hope the games developer, Obsidian, profits greatly off of this creation as another sequel would thrill us.

Can we get dual sense support plz.

Amazing game just needs control support.

The only issue we have is the running speed, its a lot slower than it is on pc, the only way our character can run kind of quick is the speed boost. But we have to use that every 2 min. Pleeeeeaaase change the speed, thank you.

Bruh the first game supports backbone remote so the second game should be comparable.

A fantastic game: one of all time our favorites.

Please add controller!! Would be so better plus KOTOR one has support!!

The game was buggy it first came out for PC. The fact that it runs this smooth on a tablet is nothing short of amazing. The only real issue we have is equipment management for the party. Normally it can be done from the Ebon Hawk/characters ship. The buttons are so tiny to switch from different companions on the ship to Change their load out make them almost impossible to hit on touch screen. Managing characters equipment is a massive pain because of this. If the buttons were just made a little bigger when switching between characters from the inventory menu we would literally have no complaints on this game.

Obsidian took the opportunity to make an Empire to KOTORs New Hope, and boy did they run with it. A dark, intense and strange meditation on the problems of Jedi pacifism and a glimpse of how the galaxy recovers in the wake of one of those titular Star Wars. Aspyr does this game justice in this port – while the game was notorious for its instability and incompleteness on release, its in a far better state now, more than 15 years on. And if you want to add in cut content, even here on iOS, Reddit says its possible to do so, and they have instructions. The only thing its missing, in our opinion, is controller support. But we cant get everything we want!

This game is one of the best Star Wars rpg we’ve ever played. But since you guys released this game on the switch and adding the restored content mod later down the line is possible you guys are going to update the mobile version so you can get restored content?

Hey!! We think it would be great if you added controller support!!!

Id like to be able to listen to a podcast or our own music while we play. It worked on your kotor1 for iPhone but not on this one. Would be nice to have this fixed.

If you can manage to install the restored content mods, itll make this game even better. The price might be a bit high, but its a fair price tag for this under-appreciated classic.

We really like the game but we were curious about if there files to the mobile app for iPhone or iPad. If there isnt its ok.

Please bring backbone controller support.

Everything is as it was then. Phenomenal however where is the Resorted content?

This is game is truly gut wrenching, as it has a darker take on the Star Wars universe set way before the movies. The new lightsaber crystal options and better Jedi robes stand out, plus the story is in fact longer than the original. However they are both great in their own right, but all in this is a must play game if you loved the first Installment.

We would love to use our controller on KOTOR 1 and 2 please help a brother out.

Does this game support the Dual Sense controller?

A good port, ran into a couple bugs that made us restart the app, and you have to get used to the new movement and item system, but once you do its the same game. Our only complaint is that you cant listen to audio from other apps while you play like you can with other mobile games.

We need better graphics, and Backbone controller support.

Im so happy to have both games available on iPhone. Our biggest wish is that outside of adding the restored content mod to this game, we wish theyd add controller support for this game like they did KOTOR 1. Its still a great game despite this.

Love the game and just wanted it on our mobile so we always have it. Our Xbox is long dead and was just happy to see it on here, you can play with a controller and its perfect for what it was and always will be. Graphics got a touch up we think? It looks better on our phone than what we remember on the disk, and nothing was lost so 10/10 11 if Im being honest. We forgot how deep the story goes as its been years since we’ve played it. If youre on the fence about buying it then we dont know what to tell you other than its a mistake not to unless you can find a cheaper version. If you dont want it why have you read this far, and if you want it why in all glory are you waiting?

Its Kotor nuff said. Its amazing almost twenty ears ago it took a console bigger than a shoe box to run this and now we can play it on our phone. We love it and it runs better than on the original Xbox as too. But please update it so we can play it with our Razer Kishi. Much appreciated!

We absolutely cant describe how much of a masterpiece this game truly is. From its deconstruction of the entire Star Wars universe to the amazing characters such as Atton, Kreia, and Visas. If you are a hardcore Star Wars fan then you are seriously doing yourself no service every day you arent playing this game.

This game is the best space rpg we’ve played since Star Wars The Old Republic. We havent beaten the first one yet since Im stuck on Taris. Playing the path of the dark side is so well done. It took us 30+ hours to beat this game. Mostly looking for quest items. Romancing Visas Marr and causing the woman in white to fight with her was awesome. The pilot-smuggler is a classic piece of Star Wars. All the while, Kreia is planning to betray you yet you kill her anyway. Watching the exile go from fair toned and human to sickly pale with yellow eyes is an astounding process that we didnt notice until we were on Onderon. Too bad its unfinished. There is a mod on PC however that restores most cut content. Overall, Obsidian deserves better with what happened to KOTOR III. The trilogy must be completed.

This game (and the first one) is one of the most underrated games ever you have no idea how many times we have played this (and the first one) this a must have today and aged incredibly well for a2005 game? (besides the graphics but ya win some ya lose some) and was a pioneer in choice based rpgs back in the day know the devs probably arent going to read this but you are apparently so we urge you GET THIS GAME!(Edit we would actually play the first one first story a little bit better just gets off on a rocky start but good and will help you understand this better)the KOTOR series is a must play for any star wars fan or even not a star wars fan thanks for reading our rant cant wait for the first ones remake now for the one recommendation. . So there is a mod for most versions that revives most of the lost content that was removed when obsedion made the devs push the game out early for Christmas and with the mod its better then most games coming out today!(just think how much better it would have done how much better of a ending it would have had maybe we would have got a kotor 3) and you are releasing a dlc for switch that is this mod so you have access to it and your releasing it for switch so could you just do that same thing but for all the mobil devices thank you if you read this far and remember there is still HUGE dedicated following to the kotor franchise who appreciates any you do for them. Thanks for such a amazing game asper(did we spell that right? )

Youll never see this but if KOTOR 1 has backbone support why doesnt KOTOR 2?

One of our favorite games. Please add remote support (Backbone)!

Would love to use Kishi on this. Please add mfi controller support.

Incredibly involving story and excellent on the iPad as long as you skip the swoop bike racing quests, which is unplayable on an iPad.

Thank you for bringing this game back. Always loved it on Xbox dying to play it with better graphics and other advancements thank you again.

Can you please make this game compatible for our controller like the first KOTOR? We love playing this game, and we would enjoy it even more if this was possible. Thank you in advance.

Its awesome and fun to play but near the end it can be confusing do to all the tasks.

Played this on PC, and downloaded to replay as its been a few years. Still in shock how good the game is. The in-depth story line is insane. Wish they would make this a movie. Easily one of the best games ever made. Hopefully they remake this game in the future for up-to-date graphics, but the gameplay is still fantastic in 2022.

Please make Controller Support.

Great port to mobile. Have loved this series for the longest time, remember playing it on original Xbox. Our only ask, find a way to pay the devs and give an optional install for the steam restored content mod. Fixing dialog options with HK47, the telos conservation area, etc.. Observations: – when you select a force power (heal, speed, etc) and use it, after portaling into the next area, the menu resets at the top. Would be great to be able to keep it on last selected item (or an option to enable it). True of all cutscene fights too, super tedious when trying to force speed out of somewhere like cantina on telos or using any guide/speeder – controls for swoop races, would be great for input sensitivity changes. Feels a little sluggish and the jump button could be bigger – if no restored content mod, quest dismissal for some of the bugged ones? – option to enable double tap for dialog? Sometimes trying to select remains or spin the camera results in a funny endless talking to someone loop – Fun bug in doing echani training with handmaiden, if you equip a weapon right as it loads you kill her for real. Try to leave the ebon hawk and her companion image is blank and says Im broken. Im so sorry. Good spot for an achievement or easter egg Thanks to all. Great game.

KOTOR 2 in all its uncut glory for those of you planning on purchasing this game we highly recommend you use The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) as theres a mobile version of the mod now and its a must to fully experience the great story KOTOR 2 tells as for the quality of the port itself its pretty darn good if you enjoyed KOTOR 1s mobile port than youll also enjoy KOTOR 2 if theres one criticism we could give however its that the menu text is kinda small but not illegible overall it plays practically like the first game and its story is a masterclass in storytelling you cant go wrong with some good ole KOTOR 2 If you have trouble installing the mod just look up a guide on YouTube thats how we figured it out.

We love KotOR 2 so much! KotOR 1 is great too but we love being able to train our companions to be Jedi and the stuff that goes along with that. Our only humble request would be if the Devs could pretty please update this with The Restored Content Mod if thats at all possible. We’ve never played the cut content before and we dont have a PC to play on.
