Been a player of this game for years. However there seems to be a bug that is causing the screen to be black or pixilated on one side and normal on the other. 10/28/25 update – happy to say the app is working for us again.
We love this app but it is very much overdue for an update.
Running 12.4.3 on iPad Mini 2; and stats do not display – just a bunch of lines. Meanwhile, on our iPhone 5S and 12.4.3, stats never stopped working! You KNOW Id much rather play on the Mini; why cant you fix it? Its a black mark on an otherwise nearly perfect game! Come on, guys? Please.
Please update it to make the game play more like the (Canada Table Hockey Game) we play that one more often because the game plays better.. We Still love this game bcuz we can make our own team but we feel it needs a little touch up on the players movement and the little player movement assists like Canada hockey game has would make it very very helpful and would make this game alot better to play.. And please offer better camara views the views that it offers now make the game meh aggravating to play.
Brings back all the goodies. Now….just have to get the STATS option working again and youve got a bingo.
It runs but its super glitchy and unplayable on our XR with Current OS. Im suprised its still even on the app store and we hope it gets the love it needs. We Remember it being great.

Was super excited to play. Graphics were great but the controls are way too wonky to be fun. The players actually seem to the opposite of what feels natural when shooting. Oh well, only $2 so chalk it up to a waste of money.
We dont understand why the developer continues to neglect giving this game a semi-yearly update, even if its minor. Im surprised it still functions despite being outdated.
We first played this game in 2010 on our iPod touch. We last played it today on our iPhone 6s. It's one of a very few games that has been present on every device as we've upgraded and switched since 2010. We think the controls are so well done for a touchscreen rod hockey game. And we basically never get tired of this game. Highly recommended.
This game is fun and entertaining. The greatest feature is the customization, which allows you to essentially create any and all NHL teams with a couple of pictures and editing capabilities. Will keep you busy and coming back for more.
Exactly what we wanted, challenging at first but it gets much easier with practice. We wish it had an online mode so you could play with other people instead of just the computer all the time.
We wish that u could play as a goalie and customize goalies pads.

For a game that hasn't had an update since March 2013 this is one of the most solid apps we have ever had throughout the years. We play it almost everyday. Controls really embrace the touch screen abilities (you should clean your screen every now and again to get a better grip). We know it is International Hockey but we would like to have a Season mode, a real shootout mode (were we can control the goalie) and for the teams to have skill levels. Also would be nice to pick a set position and have AI help, The option to switch sides and a customize mode so we can place players where we want (not important just would be cool).
This app is great but took us a few days to get the hang of,but we love the option to create any team you want.we made almost every NHL team!great app.

This is a really fun and addicting game but we think a good improvement would be the choice for more tournament customization, being able to choose the number of teams, number of games in a series, and the seeding of the teams, all optional, but other than that a really great game.
This game is amazing, it's hard at first but once u catch on to it, it's so fun. Creation option is amazing too.
We have the achievement for 100 goals, therefore we should have the one for scoreing our first goal and scoring 20, but we don't have those 2. We have the one for winning 10 games in a row, but it did not give men the one for our first win. We have won 83 games so we don't have the win 100 one yet.
Best game ever. But please make the game harder and add video recap of each goal after the game.
We've had this game on every apple product we've owned it's the best.
This game absolutely nails the basics of bubble hockey- there isn't much like it, and if you have ever played bubble hockey in your life, you owe it to your childhood to immediately buy and play this game. The physics are fairly accurate, and you will be surprised that a lot of (but not all) of your old, unused bubble hockey skills translate over to this wonderful little game. The ability to add custom teams (which you'll probably add NHL teams using) is just icing on the cake. There are some drawbacks however- you can't really move the puck with players as quickly as in real life without losing the puck, you can't easily handle the puck as in real bubble hockey, and the spinning to hit shots is wildly inconsistent- sometimes you'll hit your sweet spot and rocket a shot home far side- other times that same shot will go wide, or even travel at half the speed for no reason. Still, with a tournament mode and multiplayer, if you have ever played bubble hockey, you absolutely need to give this addictive little gem a shot.
Hard to put down once the controls are mastered. Customizing teams is a nice touch. More multiplayer options would knock this game out of the park but still worth the 2 bucks.
As a kid we were a huge fan of the dome hockey game at arcades. The real deal tables cost about $3000 and at the moment that is just way out of our price range. Luckily, we came across this app when searching for air hockey games. We were a little concerned that this game hadn't been updated in quite some time but on our iPad 4 with iOS 9 it works fine. Well worth the two dollars for admission. Now obviously the real table has better controls than a touchscreen device but you get the hang of it after a while. The physics feel realistic. The sounds are nice and we love the instant replay future. We're looking forward to playing this on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with someone else. This is a very well-designed and well thought out video game. We definitely recommend it if you were a fan of the real thing at the arcade.
It's a good game but controls r kinda hard. It's pretty addicting but kind of over priced. Decent game though.
This game should (theoretically) be just like the Team Canada version, but it plays differently. The screen layout is harder to work with and the pace of the game is sluggish. The features are more abundant, but none of that matters if the game doesn't play as well as the other version of what one would expect to be the same game.
This game is 5 star if it can be able to set up a season or league mode instead of just a tournament. Making nhl teams in this instead ok JUST nations would be cool too. Both of these are needed for 5 stars.
We don't want to be one of those people that causes a game to go off the App Store just because it is too hard for us (referring to flappy bird) but we just think the controls are too hard. We can't score a goal, let alone have control of the puck, because our person is just spinning in circles a as he moves along the track. The controls are way to sensitive. Either make the controls less sensitive, or have a button that controls where he moves on the track and another that controls the way he spins. Please fix this.
The controls are UNREAL. Okay? Why couldn't you guys add like a D-pad or something like that? 'Cause us and the controls do not get along, it's overly sensitive, and we only won ONCE!!!!1!1!1.
We love this game. We got it back in 2010 and it was the coolest game ever and still makes its way onto every one of our iPhones. Now it's outdated. The hard level is not nearly hard enough and we continue to win every game even with a manual goalie. The tournament mode could be more advanced. The stats could be improved as well. Hockey stats don't separate regular wins from OT wins. The whole app can just be more technically advanced. Perhaps creating a league.
First Apple please show the name of the app and the information while writing reviews. Overall 1 It's not new, and the only thing unique about it is the horrible controls. Just trying to move the puck up the ice from defense to mid will use up your 2 minute time allotment and you will be frustrated. Perhaps there is a trick to how to control the players but they don't show you. Maybe if they added wii mote support it might improve. Uniqueness or new Twist None Fun factor and Replay Ability None.
This game was not worth 1.99 we wish we could get our money back. It's the stupidest game we've ever played. It's hard and doesn't respond right. Don't get it.
Please make an update that allows you to watch computers play against each other.

Starts loading then crashes about 1 second into loading! Ever since the update a few days sgo. Tryed everything. Does the same to our brothers ever since update. However it is working fine on our girlfriends. This is our favorite app and we would play 1 or 2 games every day. Now we can't. PLEASE FIX SOON! :).

Great app, we bought the "Canada table" before this one, (same com.) and it was 99 cents, we like this one better cause you can make your own teams and put any logo on there jerseys.

If we took the time to rate this before, we would have given it 4 stars. After the update, however, graphics on the iPhone 5 are jagged and look stretched. Also, skills mode is broken.

This game is very fun to play and the physics are just like the real table hockey game, it is very well done and the option to create teams is icing on the cake! The only minor bad thing is the lack of a season/bigger tournament otherwise it would easily be 5 plus stars.
Great game, lots of fun, we created a lot of NHL and AHL teams in it.
What an amazing recreation of playing real-life table hockey…we love it! It took a little to get the hang of it at first but it is great and we can't get enough!!! Awesome app that was the best $1.99 we ever spent.
Only problem is that it needs better multiplayer.
