A Glimpse into Stormhill Mystery

Stormhill Mystery: Family Shadows is a fantastic casual puzzle adventure game. This is an excellent family story with a paranormal twist!

TRY IT FREE, THEN UNLOCK THE FULL ADVENTURE FROM WITHIN THE GAME!

Your family’s past is more interesting than any story. And it’s not over yet…

One of my father’s stories was my favorite: “Once upon a time there lived a merchant with his wife. The family was happy and had never known grief. However, their maid, Julianne, was jealous of the little family’s happiness and secretly dreamed of taking the place of a beloved wife. She learned of unholy powers hidden deep within the manor that could be summoned by a ritual … although there was a cost. She cursed the merchant’s wife, unleashed deadly powers. The merchant vows to devote the rest of his life to finding a way to release his beloved wife from her cursed world.”

Years have passed. My father dies, but he leaves me a message: “Your favorite fairy tale was the true story of our family. I tried to free your mother’s spirit, but I failed. I beg you to finish what I could not. The solution is waiting in our old family home.”

As a son, I must “write” the happy ending for my family’s story.

We really enjoy this game! The visuals are amazing. We love how the map tells you where to go next.

This game is going to be on our mind for a long time. The imagery is everything we’ve wanted, and we were sad when it ended. We want to live at Stormhill! The art, music, activities, and ambience are so soothing and spookily enchanting! Maybe someday you can design a holographic Stormhill experience when augmented reality becomes more accessible :)

The story was a good one but we think the game should have been a bit longer. We love how they did add the bonus game and how it was was the pre story. Well done.

We got sucked in! Loved every bit. The challenges actually stumped us quite a bit and were fun to figure out. Graphics storyline music etc. All good! We even played the Bonus story, which turned out to be super cool!!! It was intriguing and entertaining to see how the 2 stories aligned! We wish it would have gone on and on forever even though it was actually a satisfyingly lengthy game for us!

Please make more of these games! We personally loved this one! Had us so invested in the storyline and wanting more!

We really enjoyed playing this game. Lots of mystery and puzzles. Good story line too!

To few of these games around any more. Really enjoyed it. Pleased to have found you and your games. Will be doing all of them you can supply.

Its an amazing game but it is too short.

This is a different kind of game, no hidden objects, but we Enjoyed playing. It’s worth 5$ for the game, we’ve played it a couple of times.

Great graphics and story detail. Nice little mystery. Reminds us of Nancy Drew mysteries. Good in-game puzzles (no matching games). Great options for either many or few helpful hints.

Mr. Cheglakov you have again created an intensely creative experience with this Family Shadows Stormhill Mystery hidden objects game. Its like watching a great mystery movie, you just cant stop playing. Thank you once again we have purchased every one of your games and given them all (5) STARS! We cannot even imagine the time and effort that is put in to creating one of your games. Lori.

Im really enjoying this game. Keep it coming Ill definitely will buy more of your game.

We had so much fun with this game.

We give it a five, fun game U played it more than once. Are there any more games like this one?

This game really keeps us on our toes. So many interactions. Love it!

Our only complaint is there isnt 50 more. We love these games. The last dream was pretty good too. Im going to try the other one but please please make more!!!!

Reminds us of Myst but with a horror theme.

This game was amazing, truly was but we didnt want to pay for a game Ill never play again once we finish it.

We’ve been playing our way through countless Hidden-Object Adventure, Mystery, and Escape games for a few months now often paying for full versions. We quite enjoyed Stormhill Mystery! As with any game, there are pros and cons. For starters, we appreciated the subtle, Lovecraftian undertone (with H.P.s fictional monster, Cthulhu, making a small appearance hear and there). The visual design paired well with the games spooky nature we are grateful for zoom ability in all scenes as the dark, eery, and sometimes hazy/dusty overlay might be difficult to navigate and search through otherwise. This is definitely a point-and-click adventure over anything else compared to others in its genre, the mini-game aspect is minimal. That being said, we appreciate the difficulty of those included we prefer to encounter a mini-game that takes us DAYS to solve vs. One we can solve in seconds. (Not to say any of them took that long, but you get what we mean.) The mini-games are ones you may have seen before, but challenging enough to perhaps render familiarity moot. And now for the part we dont enjoy, but feel is ultimately necessary for the sake of other players and the games developers (maybe? Im tryin here.) The cons. Are minimal. Length of the game was kind of a bummer. We TOTALLY get that we paid $5 and should therefore get a $5 game that being said, this is the first $5 game we’ve finished in 1 day . Lastly, the useable items in the game were a little odd and random at times. In other words, you may find an item and have NO inclination as to what to do with it and/or you may find yourself throwing every item in your inventory at a zoomed scene just to see what sticks (did that a few times). Overall, we would say the game is worth the $5 for most. If youre looking for numerous mini-games, lengthy gameplay, and less story, perhaps choose another. But if you appreciate a great story, creative design, and a game that requires more critical-thinking than the norm, we recommend Stormhill Mystery to you. We will likely be playing other titles from this developer and look forward to what else is in store.

Thank God for the map in this game. Its a fun game, but the logic is often a little lacking trying to figure out where to go next can be challenging. The map usually gives you a good clue. The hints are quite good.

We grew up playing Nancy Drew and have been looking for something similar for the LONGEST time. No hidden pictures in this game, thank god! We will say the design and aesthetics of this game are very similar to the OG Nancy drew games. The gameplay as well, but since its what Im looking for we dont mind. The mini games were good, and for us we prefer the gameplay in the compass mode. We do wish the game was a little longer and a slightly better tutorial. The game still crashes a bit like the other reviews state but for us it only happened 4-5 times. The only small annoyance we had was where the inventory bar was. We have the 11 pro max so when we try and combine items or sometimes pull items out we always close out the game. The inventory is so small and so very very close to the edge of the screen and perfectly centered over the swipe up bar to get back to iPhones Home Screen. Since you have to click and drag the items this caused us to constantly end our own gameplay no matter how careful or precise we were. We would use the very tips of our fingers, but still would close out. Maybe a stylus is needed to avoid this or the bar could be moved or relocated just slightly to avoid this. Lastly the main reason Im giving 4 stars is because we did the bonus chapter and after burying the amulet the gameplay is stuck right now so we cant finish the game. The hint button stopped working and we have been to every location and can do nothing else except stare at the dirt pile. Have restarted the game but its still stuck. Not sure what that is about. All in all Im going to be looking to see what else you have created! Thanks for this game!

This is our second time playing it after a couple of years. We still wouldnt be able to get through it it it werent for the hints. With out them, its virtually impossible. But still loads of fun!

This was a well done game. Very creative and great storyline for a HOP/Puzzle type game. There werent any HOPs but puzzles and searching for inventory items to complete tasks were appropriate and fun. Nothing too tough but still made us think. We wish it would have been a little longer game play as we found it shorter than most BigFish Games. But it was a couple dollars cheaper too. All said we have no regrets and am happy we purchased it.

Definitely a good mystery so far and the mini games have been challenging. Only complaint is the sound has too much background music a d you cant hear the people speaking very well.

Wow this game is incredible, this might be the first game we fall in love with haha. Its such a good game from the graphics and the music, to the story that brings this game to life!! In fact the story in the game is so good it sounds like it could be a real story. We will most definitely say this is the best game we’ve ever downloaded and the puzzles are actual puzzles we love how it doesnt have those candy crush puzzles to solve a mystery. Our only problem is that we have to pay to unlock the whole game its a little sad cause we were hooked when we started playing, other than that this game is perfect we would most definitely recommend it!! Oh and one more thing we like this game because it has paranormal things in the game which is also part of the story we mean how much better could this game get it mixes mysterys and paranormal stuff in the game we want to continue playing but we cant pay for it…

Really annoying thinking Id play the full game. Its only a preview. Get almost half way and bam, pay to unlock. Was nice while it lasted but not worth the cost imo. A fun Click all over game and find pieces that get u thru the board. On to the next.

The game is interesting and the puzzles are kind of challenging sometimes, but we dont think its worth it to purchase the extra gameplay. The amount of free play is about equal to the time it takes to finish the rest of the game. For $5, we were expecting a little more than that. This only entertained us for a couple hours. We guess we would have preferred something that took at least long enough to leave and come back to later instead of something we could finish all in one sitting. Maybe thats just us though.

We find it difficult to figure some of the logic. How does a leather patch be used as a funnel? Merging inventory is difficult. If its not lined up exactly it doesnt combine.

We got up to the save the wolf screen. We did but it wont acknowledge it. So, we paid for a game that wont let us finish.

The games storyline and graphics are great but frustration happens because of it resetting and the selection of items are somewhat challenging.

We’ve saved the wolf twice, brewed the potion twice assuming we could get into the cottage. Its asking us to save the wolf a third time with no wolf to save Im using a fairly new iPad with iOS 14.2 or whatever the latest is. Thanks.

Its aggravatingkept shutting the app down on our phone and had to log back in. Also, thought for the price it would take more than a few hrs of play to finish. Would have liked more puzzles. Too short and too easy.

Help, maybe Im doing something wrong.

Holy cow!!!!! Every time we do one scene and try to go the next CRASH, closes app right out. Another problem is the game is NOT iPhone 11 friendly. The items are at the bottom of screen and every time we try to drag it to the scene, it collapses the app! Trying to combine items is awful too, no room. 2 stars for story and entertaining (to a point). $5.00 is not worth the hassle but too late now.

We finally got the hang of the game and started to enjoy the story line. Then they require you to pay to continue. What a waste of our time.

Graphics are good. Story line is decent. But 4.99 halfway through the game is ridiculous. Once you pay the 4.99 the story is over pretty quickly.

We really enjoyed the trial so we purchased the full game. Right after it started glitching and kicking us out of the game every few minutes. Even getting kicked out constantly there were only a couple hours of play to beat the whole game. What we played without getting kicked out was good but it just wasnt worth paying for and the frustration.

We were finally getting somewhere in the game& thenPAYWALL!!! Seriously?!?!?

Please fix your game!! It constantly crashes!!

You can only play for a few minutes before being required to pay to play.

We enjoyed playing the beginning of this game; we were VERY disappointed when we paid $4.99 to unlock the whole adventure, only for the entire app to crash immediately and continue to crash upon opening the app. We’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, tried restoring purchases, we even contacted Apple for a refund (which they denied) in an attempt to salvage our money or fix the issue. Im playing on an iPhone XS Max on iOS 13.7.

We figured thered be a lot more to solve puzzle wise after we paid the $5 to unlock the rest. Nope. Finished the entire game in about an hour.

Wont let us into the guest house. Gets caught in a loop about saving the wolf.

Collected items with a plus (+) on it will not open or be used. We accidentally paid for it, bit we cannot play it. Poorly done.

Dont download. They let you play to get interested, then force you to purchase.

We were looking at the picture and ordered it accidentally.
