Been using the app for over a year and loved it. But now it has ads. They interrupt at the end of every game and the little banner has left the screen shrunken and harder to play with big fingers. Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't cost $12.99!!! To remove the ads UPDATE: the cost of removing the adds has gone down to a reasonable price and they have also addressed the issue with the smaller game board. Great job taking users feedback.
We can handle the banner ads OK. But the latest full screen ads with a 30 delay are extremely annoying. We are ready to dump this app.
Im not sure what has happened but suddenly our grid and other features are smaller. Also there are items at the bottom we cant press x to. Im also getting ads with screens we cant Get out of.
We play this numerous times a week and after the update, Ill be hard pressed to play. The entire display is reduced in size. We already had an issue with fat-fingering the buttons but now we are constantly hitting the wrong cell or number. Really disappointed. We will be looking for a new sudoku app.
Game board is really small in this version.
We mean, we think the title says it all. User-friendly and coming from someone who hates sitting around twiddling their thumbs, we highly advise all of you to download this app for those moments you need to kill time. It's a great way to keep those mental juices flowing. We always feel like we're killing brain cells watching TV and online videos. This app keeps us engaged without feeling like a vegetable after a couple of hours. It's really nice being able to start off on easy and upping the ante by switching to harder levels. This app definitely has our stamp of approval.
So we've been playing this particular app for years. We enjoy it. However, we just launched it today and a new update and everything in the app seems smaller on our iPhone XR than it did before. And there's no way to change the size. We're not happy.
Love this app! However… The update from June 2019 shrunk the game board! Im super bummed now. We find it difficult to play on a smaller screen. If the bug isnt fixed, Im going to have to find another game.
Since the update all the text got smaller and we cant really hit any of the numbers :(.
Let us figure out process of elimination instead of computer taking off the numbers automatically.
The update for this game on 6/14/19 made the grid noticeably smaller on our iPhone X. Game was 5 stars now much harder to see.
In the new update the sudoku board is too small to comfortably play.
We have enjoyed this app for years but just deleted it because of the new ad structure. 30sec ads every puzzle completion. Seems like a bit much.
The numbers are now so small we keep hitting the wrong ones & its too hard to see (Im in our 50s with decent eye sight).
The board is smaller, the number buttons are smaller, and there are more adds. Its another great example of the developers taking a good thing and making it worse. Thanks for that.

New screen is almost unplayable. Was a great game we played several times a day. Had hundreds of hours of play. Cannot read the new screen, wickedly small numbers. Game play seems to have changed as well. Couldnt play it long enough to tell. Way to ruin our favorite game. Guess Ill be looking for a different version to play.
The preview they show in the App Store is now a lie. After their last update the screen is so small if gives you a headache just looking at it. Ill be getting a new app now.
Dont do the latest update June 2019 you will have to watch an ad between every puzzle even if you just rest the puzzle!!! $13 to go ad free.
We used to like this, but the update that was released within the last day has just made it awful.
We understand that ads are a necessary evil for app makers to make money. But the most recent update added advertisements on all pages which reduces the size of the game board. Disabling the ads would be $13. The cheaper option is deleting this app and using another free one or purchasing another ad-free paid app for $3. We used to love this app and was our favorite for playing due to its simplicity. Now we cannot stand to use it and the cost to return to simplicity is not worth it.
Many online games have many bugs and user interface. Its not the case with this app – at least none that we have experienced.
Really like this game, the lay out, clarity and features are all great. If we could ask for anything then it would be that the moment we put in the very last number the sheet does not immediately vanish. It would be nice to look over the completed sheet.
We enjoy this app. We like the way that it corrects you as soon as you make a mistake, unlike our books. Has all the levels.

This is very unique game It's very challenging and you have to think about it before you make a move we would play this for hours trying to figure it out Great job.

Any Sudoku game is good. However, this one doesnt allow you to back up once you fail. It would be nice to backup and keep trying to solve it, instead of slamming the door shut on you w/o having more fun to keep plugging at the solution.

We usually play the hardest level because it is challenging. Play it everyday if we can.
Love this game, and enjoy trying to beat our previous times in each of the different levels of difficulty. Ive tried quite a few different apps, and this one is our favorite by far.

This is our favorite version. The game board is pleasant (not crammed or large) and of course we love the game. Sometimes an update will break it (only happened once for us) but be patient because they do fix it.
Checkered layout is super and highlights awesome. However the pencil notes dont adjust with the addition of a chosen main number. This feature was part of an earlier version.
Lightweight but occasionally has an ad that causes a beeping sound and stops music from playing. Also Ive had this app for several years and not once have we been able to solve Expert without reaching a point where guessing is mandatory. The whole point of sudoku is that you should never have to guess but unless theres some kind of advanced technique Im missing, expert always requires guessing at some point.
We just wish we could put ticbits on our android as well. We also wish we didn't have to pay for ticbits a second time. We think you need to update sudoku again. Run the program and you will see all the problems. MY great granddaughter found the errors so if she's e could find the errors you should. She is 5.
Im liking this more since either we have discovered or they added the statistics for averages. It is easier for the game to do that than us individually doing it for ourselves. So yeah, thats a good thing.
Very hard to use on a small screen.
It can take forever to learn how to use this app like it took us over 1/2 a year to learn that if you tap on a number it shows all of them but other than that its great. It has no adds after you finish and start and you can save your progress and choose what difficulty you want to play the puzzle with. If you download this app make sure you learn how to use the app.
The is a reasonable game, we wish the sequence from had to expert transitioned better into using other tricks to solve rather than defaulting to block chain (like X-wings for example). We find expert t Straight forward until the point of trial and error. An annoying feature is we get an occasional sound that we want to turn off but have no clue how. We stopped the timer, paid for no ads, but still get this sound. Why???? It is t regular interval and is a sound that is not pleasant (cant find how to modify it) Rubin flattest IOS on Xs.
Ive logged over 100+ hours on this app and recently Ive noticed that the app would randomly play audio ads unprompted. The audio doesnt even go away when we go back to our home screenI have to kill the app to make that happen. It even plays audio when our phone is on silent. Also, its never just one audio ad playing; we can hear multiple ads playing at the same time so it just sounds like a jumble of noise.
The game plays well, we like the layout/design. However, an ad will randomly start playing (just the audio with no video) and it is never the same advertisement as the banner at the bottom of the screen. It is much more irritating than most ads on other apps and we just had to delete it.
