Liked this game and the graphics.
We give it 5 stars because of the bonus play, it made up for sudden crashes and a quite short main game. The quality with Elephant is always high, could have been better though. We still prefer the Xmas, grim tales and mistery trackers series.

Thank you, Elephant Games, for another in the enchanting Surface series! We are really impressed with the quality of this game so far! Are you a fan of the movie, The Purple Rose of Cairo, in which the Hero comes into the actual theater through the movie screen to carry on a romance with a human woman in the audience? That is similar to the premise of this exciting game. You are tracking Jane, who was carried off by a movie character in that fashion. What a great mystery! As with most Elephant Games, the Hint, Skip, and Transporting Map features work quite well. We love collecting the little jeweled flowers in the Surface series. Sometimes they are merely stuck on a letter, or they may seem like a natural part of the scene. And there are usually two or three per scene! Items in Inventory are well labeled, and usually easy to obtain. There is not a "tapping" problem with these Elephant Games, as sometimes happens with other vendor games. We love the humorous comments, such as the movie character who ducks to avoid a spear, and remarks, "Hey, we got tired of always being killed." our favorite part of the game so far was creating a 50s style pinball game of King Kong. Your task was to rearrange the flippers and other pinball parts to land your ball in the hole. We LOVE pinball, so this was exciting for us. We may have to look up this puzzle in the Extras section, and replay it a few times! For an interesting new twist on mysteries, buy this game while it is on sale. You will be pleased and entertained!
No problems other than having to tap with a little more pressure to get through this problem free game. Using an iPad 4 and loved every minute playing. Recommended!
High quality game from Elephant. Good story, a nice mix of puzzles and HOPs, and some bonus things to search. Had no crashes. Bonus game a good length, puzzles easy to medium, interactive map and journal.
Excellent graphics and interactive characters. Also, great storyline. Only endured one crash in the beginning but did not lose our place in the game when we reloaded it, although we did have to repeat what we had previously accomplished before the crash. Nevertheless, we reely loved this game.

Graphics are so beautiful and of a very high quality and an intriguing story line, which is usual for the Surface series. Mini games are great and new. There are lots of beautiful animations… As always in these series you collect the flowers and get a great bonus… The game has a very helpful transporting map and Help button… So you don’t need a Strategy guide… Thank you Elephant games, it was a pleasure to play it ! It is another "Wow" Game !

We enjoyed this game, and it had no bugs or crashes. The puzzles, while not too difficult, were fun. The hint button was more helpful then the map. Glad it was on sale.
Crashes multiple times during the HOGs. But found if we went slow in hog by tapping each hidden object separately… And waited for the item to cross out before selecting next hidden object… We were able to avoid crashes and could finish game. Besides the crashes… Game is a lot of fun! Better than the last surface game.
We were a bit disappointed with this Elephant Game, they are usually much better. Of course the graphics were good in the HOS but not so much in the actual game. The storyline was pretty dumb too. We expected more out of an Elephant Game but playing it was still enjoyable.

We always enjoy Surface games and this one too has great graphics and story but it seemed like it went by too fast.
Enjoyed the game. Had 3 problems. 2 of the problems happened where we finished doing something and then the game would shut down. We were able to go back in after making sure game was restarted and was able to keep playing. 1 (The worst) was we did something out of order and we had to restart the entire game. We were lucky because we felt we were still close enough to the beginning that we didnt mind restarting the entire game one time.
This last crash was like a Dj vu because the game reset itself towards the end and we could not access the bonus chapter. The same reset happened towards the beginning of the game and we replayed it through again. Too bad, the game was really good. We never found out the end of the story. Really disappointed that we have to give a good otherwise well done game such a low score.
Seems like another great "Surface" game. Fix the bugs and get star #5.
Fun game but had Bugs that caused resets several times. It was hard to click on items and pick them up without pressing many times. Also on the pier you should not be able to put the rope on the statue and door before you pick up the saw handle. The game was challenging which was good. If items didnt have to be clicked on multiple times and the saw was accessible After the rope was attached to the statue, we would have given this game 5 stars.
Good story line, great graphics, casual play has rapid hint recharge button, and going to inventory to finish HOS is unique!
Pretty bizarre storyline, a little difficult to follow. However, good graphics, and nice hidden object scenes. Thank goodness there was a map, which was much needed. Suggestion: These trials are getting shorter each time. We need to have longer ones in order to evaluate the game better! Liked the fact, that it was a decent size game. The shorter ones are too expensive for what we get for our $. Thank You, KdBoots.
We were at the part where we were going to help Jane to get to the tower then suddenly there was this flash and now Im back at the beginning of the game. Again what the heck??
Fun game, wish it were longer.
After our last review praising Elephant Games, we were not that impressed with this one. True, great graphics, hint button and transporting that are a must in our book. However, the storyline was a little wacko.. Even the character names were ridiculous. But we guess one can come up with just so many fairy princess vs. Evil witch/ghost/Hexon beast etc. However, we did love the varied games within the game… They were interesting and challenging and entertaining and not just the samo HOP. Hello to the great reviewers … Hope you all are well and surviving the Spring showers… Now to load our horses onto the Ark… Hossy.
So far so good. We think it will keep your interest. Graphics are pretty good. Will continue to see if it gets a 4 or 5 rating. A little early to say.
Looks like this might be a ‘reely’ good game, but trial period is too short… Again! Why not give a bit longer to make up one’s mind? Will probably buy, we usually buy all the games put out, but please make demos longer!
Bugs, not letting us pick up some object ugh!
We downloaded this first thing this morning. Finished it in about 90 minutes. Didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth!
Had to keep going back to the beginning every time we went to play it, it would crash and we would have to start at the beginning again. Very disappointed.
We can’t review this game thoroughly because it kept restarting from the beginning even though we saved it. After the 3rd time, we had had enough. It had decent graphics and a good story. There was a diary, non-spoiler hint system and strategy guide. Inventory was labeled and there was a teleport map, which was pretty useless because every location was labeled because it had an objective. We are lazy! Tell us where there’s an actual task! The HO scenes were pretty standard, and the mini-games were not that great. Elephant Games, the last few have had their problems! Fix them! Hi Dream Team! Your fearless leader has returned from Houston! From Lynxie.
We are on Ipad2 that we have not moved forward to latest IOS. Will try one more time to see if progress saves then if not, ask for refund. All other games from Big Fish have saved fine.
This game has crash issues AND story issues. It probably is the silliest story we have tried and definitely not worth $6.99.
Got way into the game. Quit, came back and had to start from the beginning of the game. Twice now with BF games. Junk!
Crashes every time we put blow torch together. When go back to game it goes in unlock game mode. We think this would be a great game if we could play without the crashes.
Our game reset too and we were almost done!!! For the game artists: Andrew Light just looked too fake compared to how realistic the other characters looked. Maybe because you were too heavy handed with the shading on his face and the lined eyes ( to make him look evil?) or maybe you didn’t base him on a real person like the others or both.
Really like what we have been able to play of the game. Twice we have been kicked out during different Hidden Object Scenes. Hope it gets fixed so we can decide whether or not to purchase.
We love these games, but we are getting a little tired of wasting our money. We have 2 big fish games that we paid for and no longer work on ios8, no updates! Now this new game… Every time we go back to play more, the game has reset and starts from scratch! Very frustrating! Please UPDATE YOUR GAMES SO THAT THEY WILL WORK!!!!

This game – the paid version of course – has now crashed and restarted 3 times!!!
We don’t know how these people get by with taking our money and getting away with games that freeze up over and over. Don’t waste your $ on this one, what a rip off!!
This is only the second of many times we have nada Big Fish game go bad on us. We made it through various glitches by backing a out of the game and then continuing, but no luck here. We are stuck trying to pick up a saw handle.
We want our money back. Game glitch won’t let us play to completion. It resets itself. Let us know if you fix it as I’d like to actually play.
We saw it on sale with a trial, but during the trial it crashed, exactly as described by other reviews. DO NOT BUY.
Do NOT buy this game until they have an updated version. We have tried playing this game 3 different times, because every time we came back to it, it had reset our progress. Ugh! We do a lot with our iPad, so we can’t sit for hours playing one single game without getting out of the game to do some serious tasks occasionally. We mean, come on, these are called "casual games" for a reason; so you can play them casually, whenever you find time, and come back later to play more! We just spent a buttload on BF games with the Memorial Day sale; and now we regret doing so. We hate when Big fish does this, rushes a game to iOS but doesn’t thoroughly test it (and it happens far too often so they can have their "new game every day" slogan).
If it gets fixed, then we will come back and rate it. Would have loved it, but not playing the same thing 3 times.
