A Glimpse into Tactics Maiden

Tactics Maiden is a fast-paced, turn-based strategy RPG where the player has to conquer enemy outposts scattered throughout the battlefield.

[Toucharcade 4.5 / 5]: "Tactics Maiden is an excellent strategy RPG that any fan of the genre should try out."
[Pocket Gamer 8 / 10]: "Super old-school, but it proves SRPGs still have plenty of depth and charm".
[My Boxed Universe 5/5]: "Tactics Maiden deserves to be recognized as one of the best examples of its genre."

What sets Tactics Maiden apart is a strong enemy AI and flexible character builds with skill points that can be redistributed at will.

Each battle presents its very own challenges, so the player has to refine his strategies and his army of heroes and mercenaries constantly.
All player units are carried over from scenario to scenario, and the units can be customized to a high degree: A complex skill system, more than 1000 equipable items, customized unit names.

Tactics Maiden comprises a compelling medieval fantasy story connecting all 85 scenarios, as well as 36 unique character classes, and over 70 special skills like ‘Heal’, ‘Shield Allies’, ‘Ambush’, or ‘Magic Missile’.

Thanks to its 5 difficulty settings that can be adjusted mid-game, Tactics Maiden is suited for both novice players and veteran strategy gamers.

Synchronization of game saves is supported via iCloud and Dropbox.

We would absolutely pay for an expansion to this game. We love the turned based strategy system. It is very relaxing and you can play at you own pace. Turn it off and come back later. We have played through all the games and we agree this one is prosthetics best because of the amount of content. Looking forward to the next one.

Definitely give it a try, the developers did an amazing job.

This and all the other games by them are amazing we hope they make more soon.

If you like turn based games this is well worth playing.

Just finished the game. 75 hours of entertainment for $5. Thats a pretty good deal. The game is simple but well designed with amusing dialogue and just the right level of difficulty. If you like tactical games this one is solid. Again, simple graphics but the gameplay more than compensates.

We would pay $20 for a sequel, or $50 for a multiplayer version.

Lets go now, completed all Kingturn games; time to make another great. All the Kingturn series is well done but this one is the absolute best of the lot.

We absolutely loved this. It took us over 46 hours to complete all the main battles and side quests, and we loved every minute! The Kingturn games are great, but this one is even more well-balanced and fun. We hope they make another one soon!

This game is so much fun. We cant even explain why but we adore all of the main characters and have been spending more time on this game than on console games. Beautiful!

We’re glad we happened upon this game! It feels well balanced and the story is fun. No steep learning curve either.

We tried this game out years ago, but didn’t really give it a fair shake. We recently returned to it and now realize just how good it is! We’ve actually been bouncing back-and-forth between this game and the developer’s earlier Kingturn series. You can definitely see how Mangobile has progressed as a developer when switching between the two, but they both are very good. Give these games a shot!

Tactics Maiden is our favorite game currently on the App Store. The gameplay is fun and challenging, and the enemy AI is excellent. If you enjoy strategy RPG’s like Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem, or Shining Force, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

We started playing the Kingsturn games about 2 months ago and have been absolutely hooked on them ever since. This one is the best – we like the actions laid out without having to double click, like that this game is considerably longer than the others and was THRILLED to find that the game will be updated with new content in the future. Can’t wait. Had a LOT of fun playing this game. Truly didn’t want it to end. The character modifications are MUCH improved over the previous. An excellent game.

So many updates. If only all devs were this dedicated to quality assurance, as it represents the gold standard.

We love turn based rpg tactical team games, buy pretty much every one that shows up in the App Store. This is one of the very few we finished. Charming, excellent gear and skill development, good rule set, nice length, good variety in fights, good distinction between classes. Graphics are good for what the are. Highly recommended if this is your type of game.

Shining force on steroids. Doesn’t get old. Try Kingturn series as well. Mangobile apps are worth it.

Great SRPG! We’ve been searching something like this for a long time. Thank you!

We recommend playing this after you’ve played all three Kingturn games. The gameplay here is a bit more refined than in those games, though. Story-wise there is room for a sequel, as the ending leaves a fair amount unresolved.

This game is honestly awesome if this is the quality we got out of the App Store every time we would all be happy people.

Addicted pretty easily to keep playing through the story. Great story too. We love the old school feeling. We hope they make a 2nd game (like it says at the end!) or maybe a New Game+ and restart with all the old items and experience from previous game to be able to keep playing and get stronger. Also a better selection in items. Though we do like stronger items becoming available as you get stronger and lvl up more. You get one chance to make your favorite character a starred one and it would be great to be able to choose your own skill when you make them one. Overall it was great in our experience. Keep them coming!

We already enjoyed the Kingturn series quite a bit and this takes the good parts of that and makes it better. Even though the visuals remain basic and the writing is solid but lacks complexity (though it is still occasionally funny), the gameplay is addicting the way good SRPGs are, and offers a fairly unique take on the strategy genre. We cannot recommend it highly enough and hope these guys get a new game out soon.

So much better than we had expected. Very well thought out.

Fantastic little tactics game. Plenty of fun battles and different character classes to use in this strategy game. Fans of Tactics Ogre, FFT and Fire Emblem should pick it up. We were hooked and we don’t regret buying it. We were just sad when we completed it.

We have become hooked on this game. Like shareware of old, this game is free and gives you several levels to try out. We got hooked before the end of the free levels and we paid for the rest. If you like FF tactics or Fire Emblem, give this a try.

The game is a pretty good strategy game. It’s one of those kinds of games that we like that we haven’t been able to find on the App Store very often. It’s like Final Fantasy Tactics where you can customize your equipment, and it’s also like Advance Wars where you have bases you can send troops out of. Different units have different skills and abilities and as they battle, your units level up and you are given points which you can use to increase their stats. There are two complaints we have with the game. The first is that you can’t move your units through your other units. This leads to awkward situations where one of our units wants to attack an enemy but one of our other units is blocking the way. Plenty of other strategy games let you do this ( Fire Emblem, etc.), so why not this game? The other problem we have is that the enemy can produce multiple units from one base per turn. You have no idea how frustrating it is to defeat all of the enemy’s units and then to have three more units spawn and attack you on their turn just because you couldn’t block one of their bases. It considerably lengthens the battle when it should have been finished a while back. In conclusion, we feel that this game has a few flaws that we think should be fixed, but there are so few games like this on the App Store that we’re still willing to give this game a high score. We just hope that these game mechanics will be changed in the future.

Great game. Please fix it so you get an extra guy when you capture enemy outposts like in the old games. Ruins the balance on any difficulty. We’ll leave captured outposts undefended as we go further into their territory. Then one sneaky unit gets behind us and we can’t take new units out because we didn’t get an extra unit. Grrr! Also with abilities like explode and escape shot, you can spam units to take out more than your allowed units. Eg, there are two enemy units near our outpost. We have one more unit we can bring out. We only have light armored units so we will surely lose the outpost next turn to the two strong melee units. We take out our fire golem and use escape, killing one unit. We can bring out an Archer and use escape shot, and still being out another unit after.

Excellent tactical, strategic RPG. Hard to tear myself away just to write this. You can try 8 scenarios for free and if you like it (if you like these type of games, you will) you can spend the $5 to get the whole thing. Pretty easy to figure out, but a manual explaining things in detail would be nice. Five stars anyway – it’s that good.

If you aren’t willing to pony up 15 for FF Tactics, this makes a decent substitute even though outpost gaining can become tedious and some maps can seem very difficult at first.

We really like but we wish that you could replay stages.

A great game that everyone should download.

Just like the other mangos. Improved yet still laughably ancient graphics, awesome amazing tactical gameplay!
