A Glimpse into SWITCH or NOT? – brain games

The game "SWITCH or NOT? – brain teasers and logic games" is designed to tell you about the logical elements (logic gates) and the principle of their work. All logic problems are constructed in such a way that gradually increasing the complexity, to introduce you the world of computer logic. The idea is switching on/off the gates to activate the last item. Logic elements are included if the logical condition is observed. What? All different and depends on the type of logical element. If the item is enabled, it produces an output signal which in turn is supplied to the input of the next gate, thus enabling or disabling it. The gates are single-or multiple inputs and single output. A logic element with one input is "NO". If the input has no signal, it turns on, but is only to give him the input signal, it immediately turns off. In the game there are elements with two inputs: "AND", "OR", "XOR". "AND" (square) is enabled if BOTH its input signals in all other cases it is disabled. "OR" (triangle) is enabled if AT LEAST ONE of its inputs has a signal. "XOR" (rhombus) is enabled if ONLY ONE input has a signal. Controlling the input signals by means of switches is your aim. All these elements are linked in one chain and for activating the last logic element you should toggle switches or not.

Spoiler alert: level is 92 and 93 took us two days to Solve and level 94 only has the word soon which we take it to Mean that more versions are being worked on and will soon arrive. An absolutely outstanding intellectual Game! We first got involved in Boolean algebra in 1965 in the military. We are 75 now and we dearly enjoyed The game! Please continue writing more levels. Signed: Eric d red.

This has some of the most clever puzzles we’ve come across. Very satisfying to figure out the right answer, especially in the later levels after latches are introduced. Very cool stuff.

Finally a game to challenge us in a way that is logical such as in function block PLC programming! Its what we were searching for. We only wish that as each function block is introduced that it identifies it that one time so as to help others know…. Ie…. And,or,nand, nor etc… And maybe a newer version in better grafics, this appears graficly like old Atari games. Not bad but we love the logical thinking. At level 50 in only 45min.

Very nice, you made logic diagrams into a game. We like it! However, theres no option to mute the game. Sure, the music is ambient and cant be heard easily if music from another app is playing, but it would be nice to have the choice.

The game is amazing if you are looking for a game to test your logic and deduction skills! We do not believe we have found one that we enjoy more. Definitely worth the cost of disabling the ads which at the time we did was only 99 cents. We only gave it 4 stars because it appears that there are no more levels after 130 or so. We cannot remember the final count. Please make some more levels. The music and the colors are also pleasing. This game is very entertaining especially for the engineer folks. Thanks for creating it. We will be playing all the levels again!

Theres only one switch to interact with in the first level of the Galaga mode, and pressing it at any time restarts the level. We’ve desperately tried finding other things to interact with, and nothing else seems to respond. Doing nothing also fails the level. Either Im missing something, or its broken, and Im not sure which. As for the 94 levels of the game otherwise, we loved all of them from start to finish. It was a great way to spend an evening. We hope that more gets made for this game, because its a joy to experience. Id like an option to turn off the music, though. Its a bit of an annoying loop.

This has been the most helpful in letting us understand logic gates and it is so fun as a game you wouldn’t even know you are learning anything. In fact, if you had no clue what logic gates were, you could play this as a game and would not be none the wiser!! Great job…. Also: this game needs a legend page so we know what the shapes are because we see something that looks like a hat and it seems to turn on the opposite line and when we turn it off the power is still going through there (it seems). It would be nice to know what it is so we can look up the logic for it because we don’t know what it is. Also a legend would be helpful because if you don’t play the game for awhile and then come back then you might forget what the individual shapes do. And one more thing, the lesson that introduces a new shape should have a different color box on the main page (where all the other boxes are that take you to the individual levels) so we can come back and review the function. Also when the puzzle is solved, there should be an arrow that lets you progress instead of quickly going to the next puzzle. We would like to see the puzzle and its flow for a little while so we can study it and then move on when we are ready. We think this game would be easier to find if you added some keywords like "logic" or "logic gates" or "digital logic" because we did not find this app on the App Store. We found it while we were surfing the internet on a site called appsnow (I think). Anyways, great great great game!!!
