Find out what gamers are saying about Symmetrain:

This is a cool game when you have a few minutes of down time. It starts relaxing and gets very difficult to where you cant keep up, but you want to keep trying again to see if you can get a bit further. For the good price and no ads or IAP, its a good deal for a game you can play a few minutes here and there. And the art is very cool. Totally worth the download.

We loved playing on this app. But it doesnt work anymore with iOS 11. :( Update: the app has been optimized for the latest version of iOS. Very happy to resume playing!

This game really unique for its really calming music in the background and the Find the difference concept with the lives and the stations you pass to get more lives and speeds up every time. Its very interesting and fun to play. With all the really unique parts of the game makes it really unique and fun. Theres also one thing we’ve been wondering is whats after 999,999,999? Overall, we love this game..

This is not the kind of game we usually play. I.e. Play til you die. But we love trains, and the game is very well done. However you cant really train harder; there needs to be a training run that allows you an extended run at a given speed.

We’re very much not a gamer* and one thing that irritates us no end is not knowing HOW the game works. Is it obvious to most of you what controls mean and how to move around games? It’s not to us therefore you can’t understand how happy we are to see explicit instructions. * we own scores of game apps but can’t figure out so many except adorable simple (often Japanese) cat games, geography and vexillology ones.

This app does not support the full height of iPhone XS Max. It needs to be fixed to get our attention. Deleted.

People who are complaining that the game is boring need to realize that not every game needs to have splashy effects and have you going in a million different directions to be enjoyable. Additionally we think people who are complaining they don’t know how to play the game should look at the game before they write a review. It clearly states in the info all you need to know to play how to turn off the music, how to pause. Yes, you need to be precise – that’s part of the game’s challenge. That’s what makes it fun. We think it’s a fun game great for spending some time when you just want to mindlessly get away.

Such a fun, challenging game. Haven’t tested our eye/hand coordination like this in some time. Love it!

We have never played a game so addicting, intense, aggravating, and rewarding as this one. And we’ve played flappybird.

A matching game that is done in a creative and artful way. Fun too! P.S. Please add option to speed up the train in the beginning for advance players in order to save us time. Thanks!

Relaxing, yet stimulating. Perfect for train rides. :) The visual style is charming. We especially like the period art posters. Would love to see an update from the developer!

We really loved this game , got a new phone and wanted to install it but its not compatible with the new iOS updates really sad that we cannot play hoping it can get updated.

We enjoy this game. We want the soundtrack to be our theme music.

This award winning app, apparently created by a pair of German students, is a delight– it requires a different skill set from most of the ‘solitaire’ games available for iOS, has marvelous visuals (more on that in a moment), and is simply fun to play. The home screen comes complete with hidden "Easter eggs", so that as you tap on certain of the passengers in the train station you get the design and music credits (among others), and even a comment from the Blue Bird of Happiness, as well as a sound track of a station, with overhead announcements. If we have any complaint at all, it is that the trains run too fast– it’s impossible to take the time to actually admire all that has been included in the (too often!) asymmetrical scenery through which the various trains pass.

Such an original idea mixed with great artwork and smooth gameplay all in one. Great game!

From people who made Grandpa’s Leftovers – everyone should check that out too (PC and Mac). Brilliant.

We can play this game for ages. It’s simply addictive. Good music and design.

Relaxing and beautiful graphics. Hoping to see more :)

This game is a great twist on the classic game of spotting the difference. Its really fun, it speeds up to keep you entertained and its a great way to pass time. The music to the game is also very soothing to listen to while playing. We would recommend this game to anyone. We also love the title just because its quite corny haha.

Wow, do we love this game! From its exceptionally beautiful isometric graphics (which we didn’t think was possible!) to the funny, relaxing music that breaks apart when you miss enough objects, this is a solid keeper! So easy to lear, yet a continual challenge; we’re thinks of gifting it to several friends. Hope we can get it for our iPad, too.

Sooooo happy we picked this up after finding it, our favorite game hands down, tops along with Oregon Trail and the likes.

Simple and easy to play. Perfect to kill time when we’re on break at work.

Very we’ll put together and great art direction overall!

Our favorite game on our phone but we don’t love the soundtrack. Other than that it’s perfect. It’s simple, not all those dumb boosters and powerups like in some games.

Brain training in process while playing a symmetrical game. Tests your observation skills and attention. While testing it helps train you to notice more things with your eyes. And yes this is a real review and an honest opinion.

Very fun, yet relaxing. Awesome art style.

As the train travels the countryside you try to mirror the objects on both sides of the track by clicking on the spot that is missing it’s mirrored pair (tree, field, house, etc). Fast speed and touch sensitivity ultimately makes this idyllic game stressful so maybe an option for meandering train would be good for those of us that want a non-competitive game to relax by.

This is our first review so we hope you all can bear with us. We haven’t unlocked all the trains yet, but so far we are having an awesome time with this game. From the peaceful music to the great artwork, Symmetrain keeps us wanting to play more. The game’s unique twist in the "Find the Difference" game genre is its vital component and its a hook that captures us every time we open up the app. Our body tenses up when we see that our train is catching up to a bundle of trees or buildings, and we have to pull our red emergency brake to slow down and catch the differences. What is also great is that when we don’t feel like having our heart race, we can choose the "Extra" train to play a more quiet, serene level and just enjoy. We think people of all ages would love this game. It’s something different, something new, something relaxing, but also exciting! (Can’t wait to get the "Bullet" train!)

Super fun and challenging. The music is good, but we wish there was a way to control the music and sound effects independently.

This really isn’t a twitch game in the way most infinite runners are. It’s also not a "squint your eyes and click randomly" game like most hidden differences games are. Symmetrain is sedate and simple, challenging you to just stay focused. The music is great for getting you in the right frame of mind, too.

Death the Kid would love this game xD.

The range of touch point could be larger. Sometimes when you touched a correct place, it shows wrong and deducts one of your lives.

Has the potential to be an awesome game. A lot of that potential is lost trough the fact there’s no way to turn the sound off without putting the whole device on silent. I’d give it 5 stars if not for its missing such a basic thing.

Can’t play your game in the new iOS because it is "too old". Will you make any updates?

By peytonde version 1.2.1 May 7, 2014 we just downloaded this app on our ipad, we like it a lot and was only able to play a few times. Now all it does is crash when we get to the point where we click the start button! Please fix this problem so we can start playing again!!! Thanks.

This game is useless on the phone. Better on the iPad. Hate that it asks us to log into Game Center each time, which we never use.

Ours just keeps going back to the home screen whenever we are done with the first level but it is fun other than.

There are better games for hand / eye coordination, this is very boring and makes us wonder how this app is so well praised.

This game is a snooze fest. Don’t waste your time.

Non-responsive and sloppy implementation. We keep hitting the right spot. It keeps telling us we’re not. We am. Sorry. Deleted!

What’s not to hate about this game… Music sounds awful Gameplay is boring at best and pointless. Deduction for tapping the wrong area is too strict. Really it should only count off "lives" if you missed it completely. The game is better played just tapping the redundant fingers.

We’re glad that this one didn’t cost us anything. Boring!

Dull, tedious, and with really annoying music!

We press on the icon and most of the time it won’t even open. When it does open it crashes. We tried deleting the app and then installing it again. It doesn’t work.

We’ve gotten it through Starbucks app of the week. That’s the good part. The bad part is how do use it? At the far lest you can see instructions but you can’t seem to open them. So the trains run the game ends and you don’t what you did right or wrong. 1/2 star for clarity. 3 stars or of 4 for looks. Bur what good are just looks?

If you have this app and use it, dont update your phone to iOS11. App will no longer work.

We also got it as the Starbucks app of the week, and it was described as a game in which you had to safely deliver the train to the station while avoiding obstacles. This is not at all the case. It’s very boring and slow-paced, and the music is awful. Glad we didn’t pay for this.

Trains get moving so fast it just becomes guitar hero for your we phone. Very inaccurate tapping zone. You’ll lose interest in less than 1 hour.

Pretty cool game. Kinda addictive :-)
