Find out what gamers are saying about Tallowmere:

This is the best roguelike we have ever played. Your character progresses nicely, tons of items and powerups. Nice story. Funny passages. Only thing that we didnt like: Some challenges make the game actually easier while still using the same leaderboard (Bloat challenge is super easy for example). Please make it either more difficult or different leaderboard. Thanks for your effort, we would pay even 3.99 for this gem.

Great game for an App on the phone.

Won’t play without a virtual pad and buttons and this game blew us away with the blocky buttons. Perfect we wish we could use this for all our games. Great game would love to see a pure rogue rpg with this set up.

A great Rogue-ish platformer with plenty of variety and personality. Got a friend and a couple of MiFi controllers? 2-player co-op is ridiculously fun. Pro-Tip: Take our word for it, Rocket launchers are NOT for close quarters combat.

If you like rogue likes then this is for you. This game runs so smoothly. Can get repetitive but phone games arent a whole day thing.

Decent dungeon crawling game. Good loot generation and a variety of weapons and armors. But most importantly, let us just say that Lady Tallowmere is one fine woman. Beautiful silver hair complemented by a cute purple dress that appears to be exposing cleavage. Despite our perception of her being an arrangement of pixels, we melt from the inside out, imagining her in her true three dimensional realistic form! We need to see cosplayers dress up as Lady Tallowmere! To those who are reading this review, please bring more popularity to this game so it will reach out to the many talented cosplayers out there! Hopefully Tallowmere 2 will feature a hyperrealistic 3D rendering Lady Tallowmere for our viewing pleasure! We really need to get a life.

Simply awful. Repetitive music. RNG makes certain bosses with certain weapons impossible. Gameplay is repetitive. Theres no incentive, no sense of progression, skill-wise or otherwise. Nothing. What a waste.

Difficult, challenging, fun. We own the PC version of this game on steam as well.

Its kinda like The Binding of Isaac but also not. We keep coming back. Great game!

Thank you for the update! This is a classic and all the content is great, love the mechanics.

Lovely game that gets more addictive the more you play. Highly recommended.

Our only complaint is that it truly needs some sort of progression system. Keep the hardcore system for those who like it, but maybe create a difficulty that lets us keep our equipment. Nothing is more depressing to find an epic weapon only to get killed by cheese in the very following level and never getting to use it. We love chasing leaderboards just as much as the next guy, but make a mode for those of us that want to keep our character and watch him grow and progress! Everything else about the game is 100% perfect though, truly a masterpiece.

We enjoy this game a lit. Its way different from the regular crap in the appstore. No iap, tons of gameplay options and fun.

So we got this game on PC a while back and still play it. And now it’s here on mobile! The controls are absolutely solid. Graphics look great. Interface is clean and works. We’re impressed. Thank you for releasing it on mobile. Now we can play it on the go. Good work! Update: have a problem not being able to see our health and stuff because it’s at the bottom left of the screen and our finger covers it up. Same with gold but it’s not as important as health.

Cant say enough about this one. It is so refreshing to play a game where you learn something new every session which allows you to get a little further each time. Reminds us of all those games from the NES days before saves existed. The biggest difference here is that levels and drops are random, so those early levels dont feel so monotonous after 50 or 100 plays. If you like these kinds of games give it a go, you wont regret it.

This is one of our favorite controller games. Would love to play it on our Apple TV!

This game is amazing. Permadeath keeps it difficult but gameplay is fair. Very fun game. Highly underrated. Bought on Black Friday for $1.99. Best money we’ve spent on an app in a while. Do yourself a favor and buy this immediately.

Wow, they really nailed the physics on this game. Super fun, tight, challenging. Can’t say enough about it, thank you!

We have been playing this obsessively since it was released. We wish there was a way to carry over some items from game to game. The RPG elements are nicely done, and the story element is both unexpected and fun. Thank you so much for such a wonderful game.

This game is really rewarding but way to difficult. Like we just got our first flamethrower them a sleep potion witch thing tosses a potion at us, goes throw "the wall?!" Really like we just worked hard for this cool loot and it gets taken away from us like that?? Need improvements fast please.

Why there are only few rating for this game Its very good and addictive game Better now we can play with our 6+ without squinting to read the text.

When we first opened this game we thought we had wasted our money. Its a bit weird. Now we cant stop playing. We are not getting any work done.

Really good control scheme! It has a fantastic adventure feel. Lots of treasures and enemies with a great old school feel. Probably our favorite iPhone game. Hope it’s on the PS4!

This one will test your tactics and reflexes. Lots of item variety (meaning different weapons have completely different play styles, and loot is randomized with different stats) and enemy variety. Challenging rogue like, but really satisfying. 5 stars for sure.

This roguelike is incredibly well-made, polished and balanced, with an exciting random element where you never know if you will get the big god-like things that can be in a chest. Controls are great. If youre a fan of procedurally generating content, this appears to be very sophisticated compared to all the others. It is not just slapping layout elements together, but really creates a feeling of uniqueness every time through. Fun fun fun!

Found this today while browsing Steam. Saw the genre and was immediately wondering why we hadn’t found it before. This was as much an inspiration as a distraction for us to work on our own game we’re making. Also enjoy spamming buttons and killing things and we feel the 2D genre just saw a gap filled in for us. We hope you keep making games or if you decide, keep building on Tallowmere. Haven’t killed the cats yet. RNGesus has been with us on finding this game and seeing that it came out today and sparingly in game. Also cool that you’re solo. We like having full control. We’re just rambling now but we’re going to buy it again on PC if that counts as a recommendation.

We love this game. It’s awesome and entertains us. But there is just one problem that ruins it for us. The constant crashing. We have the iPad mini from 2012 and whenever we try to play, it’ll just crash. It gets frustrating because we either can’t play or if it does let us play, it’ll crash anyway. Please find a way to fix this and this three will become a five.
