Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Years later, we still come back and download this little game. Nice job.

Used to play this on various flash websites as a kid, and we still love this game to this day. Now that it is no longer viable to play the game online, the iOS version is a safe haven.

Ive defeated the game three or four times now but we just dont stay away for long. We really enjoy the game mechanics, overall difficulty of the game, and even though its an older game we still love the graphics. The diversity of heros, monsters, and equipment makes each play through a new experience for us and we will keep looking forward to playing for years to come.

This game is so fun! It is the perfect example of risk vs reward. Will you call it quits and keep what you have, or go one more floor.

No in app purchases, just a good ole game. Thanks for not being another overly saturated pay to win type of game or anything.

Heyyy, love the game. Absolutely enjoy playing it. Thought ya might want to know the music is bugged. It repeats itself right about in the middle of the track, and we kinda like the music. Have a good day, yeah? You prolly need it.

We have had this game for years and just now got around to playing it. Our loss! This is one of the best TB dungeon crawlers we have played in years! Very well thought out game. No bugs to report! Very solid and very fun! KUDOS to the dev! A lot of time, thought and love went into making this game and it shows! Very much like an enchanted version of Sword of Fargoal! Wholeheartedly Recommended!!! We liked it so much, that we bought the first Enchanted Cave game from the same developer. We wish he would make a 3rd game in the series! Again, KUDOS to the dev!!! We are playing on a 2015 iPad Pro 256GB, running iOS 9.32.

Thank u for making a fantastic game.

Ive been playing it for years and we couldnt believe we found it on the iPhone we with there was a third that we can play for over 100 hours.

Ive read many reviews about this and can undoubtedly say this is a FANTASTIC game. Though yes there are still some glitches like you can see a white outline of the secret room it is still a enjoyable game plus, if you are scared to pay $5.99, you can try it out on a computer and see wether it is good or not for yourself. It is still a classical dungeon RPG where you go down levels, find stronger enemies, make up better strategies as you go and get more loot. We give this game a five-star review as it is very popular even though there are many other games. Note: To all of those others who have given a bad review cause you cant bring non-artifacts with you. You have to be stupid. There is a spell in the top right of the skill tree that allows you to turn any item into a artifact and bring it out of the cave and you can already get it within five EASY level ups. To the creator, thank you for making such a fantastic classic RPG game.

Ive been into this game since the first one went up on Kongregate, and we still absolutely love it. That being said, we have an idea we think would make it a lot better. The most tiresome thing about the game is constantly switching out several pieces of gear between each fight and before every time we cast Heal. Theres only room for 10 items in the Quick Menu, and thats far from enough to properly counter all the elemental damages of the different enemies, let alone put on our best Magic gear before healing. What would solve the whole problem easily is allowing up to 10 customizable Item Sets, which would fit into a slot on the Quick Menu, but when toggled would switch into all of the gear that was designated to be part of that Set. Item slots not designated for the Set wouldnt change. The player should be able to name each Set. One more tab in the Quick Menu setup would list Item Sets 1-10 as icons that can be placed into the Quick Menu slots. We hope youll consider our idea. Best of luck with the best game on the App Store.

Idk but when we use the smelter at the shop to craft it crashes when we make the potion. Love this game though used to play it off armor games.

We played this years ago back on Kongregate and was so excited to see it on mobile! Theres a few little bugs here and there including crashes a little too frequently for a paid game, but the progression loss is never demoralizing and the game is just so dang fun we keep playing! Gotta say too, the online version we played was fun, but there are so many other things that have been added either to this version or just over time that make this 100% worth playing again.

We are having a lot of fun playing, but the game keeps crashing.

A surprisingly addictive game is ruined by constant crashing on our iPhone 7. Crashing occurs when enchanting items on level 0, and even worse, the progress is reset when you try to go back. We could love this game but for the price, we expect a polished experience. What a waste of $6. We give a generous 3 stars for what it attempts to do, which could be really fun, but isnt because of the crashing. Another issue is the constant lagging. Our phone isnt old and it isnt weak. We thought this was an old game meant for less powerful phones. Why would ours struggle? The lagging isnt too bad but its noticeable. Please fix these issues. We do believe Ive found a hidden diamond but it still has yet to be polished into a sparkling gem.

We were looking for something challenging after beating 9th Dawn II, which took us over a year to finish (completionist-style). Unfortunately, this just isnt anywhere challenging enough for us. Its waaaaay too easy. We completed it in 8 runs in one week. It lags like crazy if there are even just a few enemies on the screen at one time.

They fixed save problem so Ill retract our bad review but still wish we could get a care package to replace all the gems and large magic potions we had collected which totaled 5 hours worth of grinding.

This is the best time killer in our phone! Its fun to try different strategies and collect the crazy amounts of gear and gems. Gameplay is long lasting and memorable. The story isnt too complicated but it Ropes you in quickly. Youll find yourself looking everywhere for secret rooms to discover the hidden story behind the enchanted cave. Even better, the game developer is very responsive. If a problem arises on the app, he communicates quickly and patches issues smoothly. Great game by a great company.

What a boring game with played out mechanics complete waste of money.

Love this game but we have a issue when we try to paste our import data into another device on the app it just says null. Im trying to transfer a save from our iPad to our iPhone.

Thanks for the 3.05 update! The iPhone X screen support is a welcome addition. We love it when indie devs outclass and outperform large corporations. These are the devs we should support.

This sequel adds a lot of new features to the basic formula that made The Enchanted Cave so fun to play. Leveling up is always satisfying, but the forge system, making it possible to improve your existing equipment, adds tons of depth… And the skill trees! Sure didnt see THAT coming – and very glad its there! If thats not all, even more improvements are planned. We cannot recommend this game highly enough.

We've put thousands of hours into gaming (PC and console) this game has been the best mobile game we've ever played. It's a dungeon crawler type rng, very little story or dialogue but it has a great loot and exploration system. It's nothing revolutionary but it's great for passing the time. You'll get your money's worth easily.

We've played many phone games over the years and this is probably our favorite game because it seems like a legit game. The controls are perfect and it has a lot of entertainment value.

Which monsters to kill and which stats to bump is the strategy aspect. Loot is from chests only, so monsters are just xp and lost hp. Everything else is (more or less) classic rpg. Character progression is permanent, but any non-artifact gear is lost when you return to town (but you can sell it at shops every 10 levels). The number of hours of playtime are certainly worth $3, but you can also try before you buy, as there is a flash version online on various games websites. We buy very few games, but we bought this one after we had already played 10 or more hours on kongregate.

Just finished today. Loved it the entire way. Probably a good 15 hours or so to complete? Hope there is a third installment in the future.

We're a big fan. It's a dungeon crawler with a good amount of progression / gearing up. Light on the talent specialization but there's lots of gear mix to keep you busy. One of the few games where we wanted to break a notebook to progress. It took us ~16 hours to beat it the first time.

Enchanted cave one allowed you to listen to other programs while you played. (Like Sirius app or podcasts) This one stops the sound on the other program.

Fun rpg that takes a while to beat with replay ability.

This game is addicting, fun and AWESOME.

Not a huge game reviewer, but if you like dungeon crawlers, this is for you. Great game. Simplistic controls, cool loot system and a lot of game time. Love this game, but be warned its very easy to lose hours to this game. We hope they add more to it eventually (:.

Everything we could ask for in a mobile dungeon crawler. Endless gameplay, easy to jump in and out of and unique gameplay elements. Must have for any RPG fan.

This is so good, it's unbelievable. We played this on kongregate and it was amazing. We wanted the full version though so we bought this. Completely worth the money. We would totally recommend this if you are looking for a fun rpg/adventure type game.

possible spoiler alert we bought this simply to support the dev, great work!! Our only suggestion is to improve the gear by maybe 25% beyond the end.

Best rpg rouge like on the App Store.

This game has everything we were looking for. An awesome rouge-like, hours and hours of gameplay, not so harsh on battery, a challenge, and more. We would say to be careful when playing. Because we got very mad when we went from Floor 40-80 and died on the boss. We forgot to escape anywhere in between because we were doing so good. 3 hours gone. Haha, you just can't forget! Such an excellent game.

Title says it all. There really is so much to this tiny game and the hours of joy we've gotten out of it shows this.

This is a heck of a game. You will play it for hours and hours. We got to the final boss and died instantly but it was still fun. There's skill trees, and equipment that you can give 2 special attributes. For example we build our character so that he does a lot of damage and restores his mana and health when he kills something. Later in the game you get insta-kill chance and that helped a lot. Our restores made up for our lack of defense so our build worked, but there's prolly others like dodge chance and crit. Basically this game is awesome if you can figure out how to play it. Definitely worth the 3 dollars.

We were looking for a game exactly like this on iOS. If you are looking for a Diablo 1 type of experience with randomly generated dungeons with rpg elements, this is it.

Game crashes 100% of time on landing killing blow to lvl 100 boss. Pls fix.

Great Game!! Def Worth The Few Bucks.

We really thought this would be a clone of Castle of the Winds based on the screens. To anyone wondering likewise – it isn't. That's not the reason for the grade, however (even though it was pretty disappointing). The game lacks polish. The music is annoying and the sprites look cheesy. Especially when compared with other rouge lites offered on the App Store for the same price. What bothers us the most is that the enemies don't move after your turn. It becomes a game of pacing yourself and you cannot go back up levels to escape without losing items. We can't understand the logic behind this game mechanic other than to stack length to an already unappealing game. These must be shill reviews or people justifying the waste of 3 dollars.

This games is a waste because of quality in game in our opinion its very boring because it has no objective or story you just walk in a cave and go down floors. And when you come out everything's gone.

Amazing game, nice replay value, would like more weapons.

We need to let you know how amazing the 2 enchanted cave games are, the 1st aged amazingly in our opinion, and we can spend HOURS optimizing our current gear in 2, we have actually spent 5 hours money grinding on floor 60 – 70 to buy gems, buy enchantment items, buy potions and pick axes to transmute (by the way that's a bit broken, making ANYTHING an artifact to keep forever) And we know this might be a bit of a late review, but we still felt it needed to be said.

Very in depth game with a lot of strategy and loot! Real time killer too without much hassle.

Plays great. The roguelike we've been looking for. Always has us craving for another run.

Great dungeon crawling fun. Only complaints so far are (playing on an old school IPod touch 3G) a few minor crashes and text is very very small and hard to read.

All it takes is a few seconds of a video of the gameplay and you'll see why we love it. Well worth your money and more importantly worth your time. You will lose some hours playing through the gorgeous levels.

Pretty fun game for the above average RPG fan. Our only complaint is the soundtracks kinda bland.
