This game has the classic old school-looking graphics of the original game. It includes the original story, the Island of Ice and Fire expansion, and the first two games of the Hero of Lukomorye series. All of that for $7.99 Its a really good deal if you ask us.
We purchased this game 11 years ago back in 2009. We were in middle school, and didnt understand how to play. We were too impatient. Yet we were drawn to the game by its retro style and seemingly infinite possibilities. Recently we went through our iTunes purchases and saw the game again. For the last few weeks, we have been hooked. We are thanking our past self for making the investment of such a phenomenal game. It is essentially Daggerfall on your phone (minus the randomly generated world). The dialogue is well thought out, interesting lore, and quite frankly could be its own RPG campaign setting. We are playing as a female undead, and it is really cool to see how being the lowest class effects choices and opportunities in game, both good and bad. For example, we couldnt hang with a brothel woman since she didnt like undead, yet a nutty sorcerer gave us extra gold for a quest since we are both undead. We implore anyone interested to buy the game, and to check out the website for the manual and for the forum. Read a beginners guide to get your gears turning. Thank you for not only making this game, but for updating it with new DLC/current iOS updates for over a decade.
This is a pretty good game and we LOVE IT! It has the fps style like Doom and has the medieval elements like Warcraft. Good game.
Honestly have sunk a astonishing amount of time into this game. Its a really great game and no doubt the best on the IOS store. That said it can be frustrating at times as parts of the game are simply locked to you because you cant do enough damage or tank enough. This is the main draw back as there isnt really that much one can do to plan around this as the game mechanics are far more focused on just the numbers than player skill. Take for example the quest find and save princess Zabav. The monsters here are simply such a high level we cant fight them especially being that we made a battle made and all our oh s%!t buttons dont work as they are magic immune. Aside from that one problem it truest is a great game and easily beats any non triple A game you will ever play. PS please fix the unlock and disarm spells. They are worthless and dont work even if you hella spec into env magic.
This game is incredible. It feels much like the Bethesda games of old. Our only wish would be for controller support.
we wrote a guide on the forums about a basic tutorial, and we recommend reading it first to get the full effect of the game. We play this so much we kind of ignore our other apps… Maybe that's not all bad.
It's huge it's fun it has great music and it's only 7 dollars it's AMAZING.
Good game for the price you get 3 expansions and the full base game and you can easily sink in 30 plus hours in this game and we're definantly going to support the developers by buying more expansions in the future you guys deserve more recognition good job guys.

Devs, if you see this- after updating to the latest IOS (17.6 we think), The Quest will crash and fail to open as soon as you click the app.
A great game with tons of hours of content, and even more with the DLC.
A perfect RPG for mobile! We were hesitant at first, but we have absolutely no regrets. There's hours upon hours of gameplay with all the expansions. We've been playing for a year and still haven't completed the game and all its expansions yet! We LOVE this game. We always come back to it when we're bored. The graphics and controls can be a little tricky at first, but they're easy to learn and remember with a few minutes of time. The community and forums are great and there's plenty of guides and help available there. We even have a list of the expansions in order, and recommended levels for each, if you need it! Download and give it a try. You won't be disappointed once you get the hang of it, we promise.

Best app we've played on the app store. Rpg/fps kinda thing. The graphics are amazing for a non-3d game. We absolutely love this game and recommend it for almost anyone.
Love it we downloaded this game because we were going on a trip spent the whole trip playing but the biggest problem was that monsters won't leave you alone even if you go into a village please make it more easier to get out of a fight, and make gold easier to find and healing potions should be an unlimited buy so we don't have to go to another village just to buy a potion. Please fix these small issues.
If you are a fan of Arena or Daggerfall we can not recommend this enough! It is engaging, fun, and allows you to become amerced in its gorgeous world. But casuals beware! This game we a bit hard to get into. And there will be no hand holding.
This is the most fleshed-out RPG you can buy on the App Store. The amount of gameplay you get for the money spent is definitely worth it.
This is freaking amazing it is easily one of the top five RPGs on the App Store, and that's with the dated graphics, we can't wait for The Quest HD to be playable on iPhone. Omg we're going crazy waiting….please help us….need HD on phone.
This game is just great. It's a perfect "old school" style RPG that is great in almost every way. The game is detailed and very well crafted. Our only problem is in the somewhat frustrating(at times) combat, but even still this game is fantastic. We're a pretty young gamer, so games like this were well before our time, but recently we went through an oldschool RPG kick and found each one we played to be fantastic, each in their own way. This is a perfect example of a game that emulates these "dated" turn based traversal and combat mechanics and nails it. Great game.

We have now put quite a few hours into this game (and still have the expansions to delve into!) It's a rich and intuitive game with a fun rougelike esque combat system that keeps us on our toes, and a massive word that rewards for exploration and adventure- Funny moments, scary and thrilling moments lie within this GEM of a game- we couldn't recomend it more, it was recently released on steam but we feel the iOS version is the definitive version! Only drawback, the npc's do not tell you where to go just vague landmarks, witch we feel doesn't work in such a flat game, we wish they would at least say the "Amazon cave to the south west" rather than just "Amazon cave" 10/10.
This game has so much to do and is awesome. We love the retro feel to it, it's very nice to look at and play. There is one incredibly annoying bug, whenever your click X to exit out of something it will click again as soon as you exit, making you usually go back to main menu. It's very annoying, please fix and then this game is a solid 5/5.
This game is great, good story, easy to learn hard to master. We love the art work. It's addicting to play.

If you are looking for a mobile game with console level depth, look no further. Literally hundreds of hours of wonderful game play. Sure the graphics are a bit old school, but that fades when you get into the game. The mechanics are clean and straightforward, leading to unobstructed gameplay. This is the best RPG game available on the iOS platform. Compatible with both iPhones and iPads. With all the expansions that are included in The Quest Gold, you have all the RPG fun you could ask for. Don't hesitate, just buy and enjoy weeks/months of gameplay. It does not get old as you work through it.
Love this game! We play on our iPad & have most of the expansion packs. The "Gold" edition is a great way to get the original game plus the first three expansion packs. Awesome deal! We've been playing for years with several characters.
Still supported and working after all these years. It's deep, engrossing, detailed and just incredible. If we could only have one game on our phone, this would be it.
While the game itself is really fun, there's this really annoying bug. Whenever you go into the inventory or pick up an item, when you click X, the game closes. For some reason the game exit works in the inventory screen.
We expect from you guys to make new "the quest" games.
Its replay value is above and beyond. The graphics are stunning with a unique system of movement and attack. The quests are not repetitive and are engaging. Please any developers send us a Quest t-shirt.

We mean it when we say that no other game on the AppStore even comes close to this game in depth, content, and play hours. We would pay $50 for this game. The Quest Gold combines mystery and wonder into a unique fantasy world, combining old-school graphics and modern game design to create a truly amazing game. An absolute must-have for any old-school rpg fan.
This is by far one of the best games, if not the best game we have ever played. It beats ours craft, skyrim, final fantasy ( almost ) and just about everything else. We would have payed whatever the price tag was if we knew what we know now. This is the first thing we downloaded on our first phone! A very unique game.
We have been playing this game for almost two years and we still haven't beat the main quest! Very challenging yet extremely addictive. We recommend this game to anybody that enjoys a good dungeon-crawling, undead slashing, card playing, or walking across half a continent to complete a quest only to get lost.

We can honestly say that The Quest is one of the greatest games we have ever played! There is truly nothing like it out there on the App Store. We've been sucked into this game for hours and have enjoyed every minute of it. We must admit it gets ridiculous with its add-on's, story wise and names, but their challenge is enough to keep you pushing on this game even after you beat the story. Which we might add takes some serious skill! Good luck finding an internet guide to get you past this games puzzles. Because they don't exist.

This is an amazing game with twists, objects, side quests along with main quest. Many options to play how you want and a system that has some depth to it. It is like a 2D Elder Scrolls or Skyrim game that is just as huge. Include the many expansions and this game has so much more to offer. We downloaded the Gold Version of the Quest which adds the 1st 3 expansions after just reading reviews. And all we can say is fully satisfied! We download tons of games both paid and free and The Quest Gold Edition is definitely one of our top 3 games, cant get enough! Download, you wont be disappointed! Plus if you get stuck, wiki the Quest walk through can get you out of a jam! Good Luck and have fun.
The graphics might seem very outdated, but it has charm of an old PC game from the 90's that should've come on a stack of 3 1/2 inch floppy disks. That being said, the gameplay is fun, and the graphics make it look deceptively boring. The price is more than fair for this 100+ hour game. We have been playing for about 3 months now and still have not beaten the main campaign. There are also 3 expansions included in the game as well. The game reminds us of Oblivion or Morrowind from recent years. If you like old school RPG's or want to get into it; this is the best game to start.
We only have two problems with this game, levelling up, and really understanding where it is quests are wanting us to go. Unless you memorise where some places are you have to back track a lot. Other than that this is the best rpg on the App Store and we can't put it down.
We love this game. It's one of our favorites by far. We play on an iPad though, so the game gets a bit stretched. It'd be great to have it optimized for iPad.
This is by far our favorite game on the App Store, and trust us we've played hundreds. The pixel art is beautiful and nostalgic, the story is well written and intriguing, the difficulty is balanced, everything about it is great. We think of this game as the perfect mobile version of the Elder Scrolls games, even though they have HD graphics and aren't turn based, because this is what works perfectly for mobile platforms. After two complete playthroughs and hundreds of hours on the expansions, we can honestly say this is one of our favorite games on any platform.
After hours of fun, there are still extra expansion packs you can buy! With more and more coming! Then just when we're stoked, theres The Quest 2.
Perfectly executed & almost endless.
We are not exaggerating when we say this is the best app. We have sunk well over 300 hours into this game and all the expansions. The graphics are great, as well as how they remind us of older pc games. The artwork is so beautiful, and the game is very interesting and huge! It takes a long time to cross the map of the main game. After adding in all the expansions, it is just overwhelming. We have been playing games for years, and this one is one of our top 10 favorites of all time. Thank you for making this game.
This game is amazing. It's probably the only app we'll transfer when we get an iPhone six. Please keep updating for iPhone and adding expansions until the sequel comes out. Again, this game is amazing.
