Hours of fun with 100 levels to play. Really enjoyed this game.
Thomas Was Alone has been our favorite game since childhood. An impeccable story paired with cute voiceover, lovable characters, and fun gameplay, we cannot recommend this game enough. With every level, the music is used to perfectly match the atmosphere, and sometimes its enough to make us tear up. Its a beautiful, thought-provoking game thats worth every cent!!
We downloaded this game quite a while back. Loved it then and it continues to be an all time favorite.
Just play it. You wont regret it.
We have really good problem solving skills and this was no problem for us. It was the right amount of easy for us. Even though Benjamins flight can be hard, we went through it with no doubt. THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER AND IM CRAVING MORE OF THIS we LOVE IT SO MUCHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! If you dont really know if you want to buy it, you have to have good problem solving skills and have really good handling of the controls, not a lot of people get it….. BUT IF YOU DONT CARE, THEN BUY IT!!!! IT IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!
The controller support for this game is so bad we can’t even begin to lost how many bugs it has And this on an already very control and input timing dependent game.

This is one of the best games that we’ve played in a while. We love the minimalist graphics and narration; we think that this game speaks to the storytelling capabilities of games. This game is definitely worth more than the $5 it costs.
We know Im a little late to the party but we wanted to know if you were gonna update the game to work for the iPhone XR the screen looks a little weird like it cant fit everything in it and some stuff looks cropped out if you would fix it we would greatly appreciate it.
What makes this simple platformer so engaging is its ongoing story. This seems like just a basic game of squares, but its so much more than that. As the player advances through each level, more of the story is revealed to them. A story of these squares, with individual names, personalities and thoughts. As the story progresses and these simple characters experience more of it, we begin to really feel for these characters and start to love them. Thomas Was Alone is such a mind blowing experience with more character development than most AAA games today!
An innovative platformer. We played this game on the train everyday on our way to work.
We really liked this game because of the personification of the characters. We were sad for Benjamin though. We like how the backstory was told also. Great game!
The simple style mixed with beautiful narration and music, equally make a piece of art worth experiencing.
The storyline is incredible! We cant explain how one little game can make you so attached to different… Colored… Boxes. We just know we wept over the characters. We have played this game more times than we can count, it is one of our true favorites.
We love this game because of all the different colors. First of all, the quadrilaterals are different colors. In fact, we like all the superpowers they have. For example, super jump would be our super power. In conclusion, The colors are so lovely.
In this narrative game you will learn to love squares with different abilities in this charming story. Even though they are just squares, you will relate to each square individually.
By far the best game on the App Store yet. Would love a third story though.

The screen size needs to updated. Im not giving lower stars bc its still playable and very nice. Worth the money. Its on sale for discounted price today. Its 12/20/2019 so pick it up you wont be disappointed. Nice story, plus we can see care and time was devoted by the developers thats always nice. Ill definitely support these guys hope to see new games from them.
We love this game, and its certainly our favorite mobile game. People usually play addictive and mindless games that really have no point, but this is a beautiful concept and all the characters have unique and interesting personalities. We remember when we were young we would watch our sisters play this game, back when it was available in the PS3 Store. They never did get that far, and since it was a very long time ago and since it was available as a mobile game we decided we would buy it. It was worth the money and worth much, much more. Its entertaining, beautiful, and such a nice game. The narration is so peaceful and the music is amazing. It just comes to show that you dont need the best graphics if you have a story to tell, and oh boy does this game have a story. 10 out of 10 and we implore everyone to play this game.

Its so peaceful and still has mad moments, we think the jump button should be a bit bigger, thats just us…
On our 4th play through. We love this game the music the narration and fun puzzle platforming game play makes for a great game to get sucked into while sitting on the couch. Please buy this game give it a chance you wont be disappointed.

Hear us out if you can drop a couple dollars for this game its really nice to. Great story and its marvelously impressive how much character the creators can imbue with just a narrator and his one voice. Great story paired with satisfyingly difficult platforming. Different strength of each character makes it hard to figure out a plan and executing the plan is hard but fun.
It was worth it all the trouble talking with our grandma about our Apple ID and trying to download the game from our laptop to our phone.
Used to play this on an old iPad. However is there a way to get full screen support for the iPhone X??? Amazing game btw.
We like for Grey,Jo,Sam,Paul, and Team Jump to have different jump pitches for higher and lower jumps please.
Since we are only in the beginning stages of the game this is only our initial reaction. We enjoy the simple design, the story and the narration (Not being British, we love the British accent of the narrator!) But, there are some things that could be improved to make it even better. First, optimize for the iPhone X screen. Second, make the control areas larger, especially the left-right movement buttons. Finally, while there is a stretch when Thomas jumps, there is no squish (or compression) when he lands, or bumps into a wall. That additional subtle animation trick would make the character feel more real and more fun to control.
The would be a bit interesting and better if the controls were easier to handle. It seems like trying to switch characters on one side of the screen can be impossible sometimes as well as moving doesnt always recognize touch. This happens on multiple devices and a friend of ours also has this issue. Not worth the 5 dollars as it is now.
This game was such a delight a few years ago, we decided to revisit it! Much to our chagrin, it has not been updated for larger screens, and so the game play is a bit off! Would love to give this a run through again, could you update it for larger, full screen devices??
Felt like we could barely jump or do any platforming. Story was not great. Did not make it to the later levels. Was bored. Dont let us sway your opinion tho… This was editors choice.
We were playing and they said who the h word am I. Totally inappropriate. Only let kids play if you are okay with them hearing curse words. Otherwise good app.
Just launched the game and it looks like an old app that doesnt work for new phones, the nig screen in the iphone xr turns obsolete since the app uses like just 2/3 of the whole screen.
This could be such a great game, but it becomes impossible to jump at times.. Its like a wall comes up and you cant jump?! Then one out of the 100 attempts you can? It ruins the game sadly.
We used to love this game and we wanted to play it again, but the controls make it impossible to play. We’ll try to jump and it’s like Thomas sticks and hits an invisible wall. It’s too frustrating to play if you can’t play it properly. We’re sad, this game is great with functioning controls. :( Also, screen formatting is super weird on the iPhone X, but we can’t find any way to change it.
Accidentally bought the app as we were trying to update the apps we have on our phone via finger print. Got charged $4.99 for it and we are so sad we do not like the app.. So much to get our money refunded.
Basically super Mario with narration. Well narrated but simple game. Unfortunately the controls are not very good on iPhone as if you barely slip off the exact control youll stop moving and fall to your death. For such simple graphics you would thing they would have perfected the control issues. Make the input buttons larger man. Not worth the money to buy it. It should be free or only 1.00$ once you fix your inputs. Good try tho.
We own this game on PS4, have never had any issues. Thought it would be fun to play on iPhone 12. The PS4 control works perfect with every other game we’ve ever played on iPhone 12, so we know it isnt the controller we are using. This game is so unresponsive that it makes playing the easiest of levels close to impossible. We play many twitch ultra hard platformers and Thomas is alone is not one of them. Its not that the game is difficult and so we complain. Its the control that either doesnt respond at all or responds half a second late. 4.99$ down the drain. Such is life. We love this game just not this version.
It is an amazing platform we with incredible gameplay. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this game. We think this game is worth $5.00. Bossa, Make more games like this please.

The concept and graphics of this game are simple, but it is a joy to play. The amount of personality that is given to simple shapes is amazing. The game recommends playing with headphones and we would agree with this.
We were finally able to play the last few levels of the expansion pack, thanks to fixing 11.5. This game is fantastic and if you are on the fence thinking about buying it, just go ahead and get it. This is one of the best games we have gotten on the app store!

This is by far one of the best games we have played on ios. It has such a good soundtrack and awesome story. We highly recommend it.
