Titan Quest: Legendary Edition Reviews
We have Titans quest for Android, PC, switch, and now here. Three or four years ago when we got Titans Quest for Android it could barely hang in there but we actually beat it, which is very rare for us and games. Then we thought Id get the full version for PC and did not like mouse clicking around. The switch version is trash. Now theyve upgraded the app to run on new smart phones and It runs butter smooth. We cant wait to play the content we havent gotten to. Immortal Throne, Ragnorok, and Atlantis. This is the proper release for Titans quest even without controller support. PS. Playing on 12 Max Pro you will need to set graphics to HIGH as they are set to medium. Enjoy.
Im cool and so is this game besides the one time it crashed our ipad and we thought momo hacked me.
Im stuck in the area between Helos and Sparta where the rebirth fountain is and the game refuses to save anywhere else but there. We dont understand why it wont save at any other rebirth fountain.
We have tried saving, saving and exiting to the main menu, and exiting without saving. None of it works. We loose everything. Cloud save is active and we cant turn it off. We started having glitches and crashes and maps that we’ve been to go black along with the save issues as soon as we installed Atlantis.
This game on IOS is still 5/5 for us. It runs smooth as butter, graphics are fantastic, and the future 100s if not 1000s of hours Im going to be putting into the mobile version of this game will be a joy. With that said the only gripe we have is we wish we could get a UI scaler option under settings. The buttons often feel small and difficult to activate on our iPhone, which it shouldnt on an iphone 10XMax. Loving the game otherwise, love the developers and all the extra work that has gone into this beloved port and dlc.
Great game to pick up whenever we have time! So much nostalgia! This game is everything and more. So excited to play the expansion sets.
Im absolutely loving the game, and would highly recommend it. Im compelled to leave a review more for the great experience we had with their customer support. We had a minor cloud save issue and contacted the devs who responded with a suggested solution in 8 minutes. Thanks guys!
It seems like a pretty good port as far as Im concerned. We have always been a huge fan of arpgs and have played through titan quest multiple times on pc just the fact we can have a real arpg experience on our phone and iPad had us sold.
We are so excited to have the full TitanQuest quest experience on our phone. Its unreal. There were control issues and the developers fixed most of them with an update the day after its release. The rest will be fixed quickly as well. This game easily offers 100s if not 1000s of hours of a serious Diablo Poe grim dawn style gaming experience. The base game was already a lot now with all the dlc and an endgame system and the massive amount of classes gear and customization its just incredible that it is on our phones. Thank you for the fast bug fix response handy games. Update 2/21 the first update they did helped the controls with our harbinger. The second one last week did not help any. This update there is large improvement to button sensitivity and targeting and over all control. Its very close to being where it needs to be thank you for the consistent and fast fixing.
We see some sub par ratings here complaining about QoL stuff, we thinks its good to talk about what the dev can do to improve QoL (mine would be moving the weapon switch closer to the attack button) but ultimately this is an amazing PC game being delivered to us in full form on iPhone. Its a portable version of one of our favorite PC games all time and its playable with minimal setbacks and for that we think it deserves 5 stars.
Im a huge fan of the game and enjoy it now that its on IOS again. Im experiencing problems with relics in the caravan being placed at certain spots which move other relics. They basically look like they are overlapping even though its different spots.
We have tried saving our game and progress three times now and the game doesnt save our progress. Please fix this. Yes we have tried save game and going back to towns. Nothing is working.
Written on: February 12, 2021 As someone whose played TitanQuest: Legendary Edition up until the town of Delphi and who has no knowledge of the previous TitanQuest games, our review counts as little towards to whole game. So it seems a lot of people have issues think the controls of the game are bad but we dont have this problem as the most the character does is move slightly fast whenever you move the virtual stick. If they mean attacking then our character can kill them easily and only once did the attack go though an enemy for me(That was at the ancient time to kill the skeleton Raiders Quest) we started playing the game after downloading the 2 other DLC(Immortal Throne is pre installed in the game) as to have the best version of the game so that could explain why we dont really have control issues. The game does skip a frame occasionally which isnt a big deal. The game is automatically set to 60HZ we think by default and theres no toggle to change that in that options. All NPC voices for us are also all high pitched squeaky(like one reviewer said but its kinda funny to us now)… Dont know if thats the game itself or just our first play through. In conclusion, we think the reason why people are having a tough time with the DLC or controls is 1) either their device is 1GB ram and the game wont work properly on those 2) The device is Jailbroken which also can mess up the game 3)they could be playing on an old version of TitanQuest or 4) Theyre downloading the DLC over cellular instead of WiFi Anyway, theres not anything else for us to say other than it can basically do everything the Pc version can (reading the reviews made us not purchase it on release Feb 2 because everyone said it was bad but we finally purchased it 5 days later on Feb 7) Edit February 17, 21: Forgot to add we are playing this game on an iPhone 8 which has 2GB ram just to let you all know.
There is a bug with opening a door in Act V Epic where sometimes after killing the necessary skeletons, the gate wont open. They wont reappear in a new game. This halts all progression and that character is now useless!
Runs beautifully at max settings on our iphone xs. Our only problems are with the original game itself, which are few. Now if we can make sure there are no other new versions to pay for after this.
We are having fun playing the game, but after we while we realized that the game did not download the dlc automatically. Found them in the menu, clicked on them, initiated downloading, but no progress in over 3 hrs. Please fix this as part of the bonus of buying the legendary is so you have the dlc. We will change our request to 5 after we get our full game content. Thanks.
Our finger hurts because the location of the virtual pad is terrible. The old way is much better. And there seems to be a delay when manipulating characters. We don’t know if the developers will see this review, but if they do, they need to revise it as soon as possible. +about the virtual pad before the update, the virtual pad responded much faster. But now it responds too slow! This make us difficult to respond to monsters. Also the attack button. It’s too close to the edge of the phone. We think it was not that close before the update. You guys should fix it! Or just add an option for customizing control plz…
This app has seriously crashed our ipad twice to where we had to wait till our battery died to even be able to get back on our ipad we are very disappinted since we like this game but we use our ipad alot and cant be down for a game that crashes our ipad repeatedly.
Far harder then the Xbox version as well as not able to pick up anything. Confusing controls. Not able to do hardly anything. Kept during emery few minutes unlike on the Xbox version. Deleted soon after trying it for 15 to 30 minutes.
Issues with downloading dlc fix: just change the screen look and ik its not our internet bc it was fixed after we changed the screen before we did It was crashing so thats the only thing that really needs fixed.
We admit Im not one to leave reviews very often but in this case, we feel compelled to. We got into Titan Quest late, admittedly, but we became a fast convert and huge fan in short order. And, though we’ve been a computer guy for a very long time, we do enjoy some of the truly exceptional gamesboth native and portsthat have come out on the iOS in the past decade now. Such was the case with Titan Quest. Yes, Im one of those whove paid for the iOS version of Titan Quest several times now, but we’ve never felt ripped off as we guess we just get so much enjoyment out of playing it and every iteration of it on iOS has brought improvements and additional content. Having said that, we were always bummed that Titan Quest in all its gloryImmortal Throne, and all of the cool DLCs and attendant improvementswere never available on the iOS. And so it is that HandyGamesmay their name be praisedhas finally brought to us Titan Quest as it was truly meant to be played. What a joy it is to start it up in Helos and see all of the wonderful features that heretofore were only available on a desktop computer! Also, gone are all of the clumsy little irritations of the original version of iOS Titan Quest. You no longer have to move your toon a touch and then re-click when talking to an NPC to enable the next portion of the conversation. No longer is the targeting system of enemies fraught with errors and stumbles. Inventory has been greatly improved. And finally the Merchant has been added! Plus, now we can actually earn and see achievements for our toons (it never worked properly on our iPad before at least)! We’ve also played it for around 12 hours so far (all night) and have not gotten our toon stuck or experienced a crash once. Nice! So, if youre on the fence about whether to shell out yet another round of your hard-earned money, hesitate no longerits an update so packed with improvements and features that its almost a different game and is absolutely worth it! To say Im happy with this masterpiece and its perfect transition to iOS is a huge understatement. Now, while Id love to hang out further, we’ve got to get back to hunting undead…
It’s a very interesting gameHighly recommended.
Sounds like fast forward voice, making them all sound like they squeaking.
While playing the game, music from other players cannot be played.
Just bought game this morning to replace the old titan quest app on iPhone. It crashes every few minutes. For $18 this is unacceptable. The old game crashed occasionally but was playable. This is not playable and a complete waste of money. Please dont pay for this game!
We had given up on mobile gaming due to the gotcha mechanics that nearly each game has. We ended returning to console gaming and thought Id never play an App Store game again. It took a port of this pc game to get us playing on our iPad again. We’ve been enjoying every second of the game from the loot, character building, action, story, and visuals (playing on maxed graphics).
Excelente juego muchas horas de diversin solo tienes que tener un dispositivo de gama media o alta si es posible para que el juego valla perfecto.
Amazing game we regret not trying earlier. We actually prefer the controls here to the mouse and keyboard of PC. If the developers read this, Id happily pay whatever you think is fair (ie: not mobile prices) for the Eternal Embers expansion to complete the experience. We wouldnt even wait for a sale.
Fix the Atlantis item drop rate and bring us the Eternal Embers DLCCmon just take our money.
Pleasantly surprised we got more content support many years after the game had been released and the fact that we can play our #1 aRPG, with Grim Dawn #2, on the freaking phone! Havent had any crashes so far and the experience is pretty smooth. Our only complain is that sometimes when you come back to your made up teleport location after selling your loot, you get stuck and cannot move. Happened to us twice and no matter what we did, it didnt make us move. The only solution to that is rebooting the game. Also, can you guys port Grim Dawn on iOS too :)
Great game, had a few crashes, but nothing too bad. We cannot find any access to Atlantis however.
Absolutely love this game. Will we see an eternal embers port for mobile anytime soon?
What a great game. Brings back so many memories. But the design of this game we love, and the graphics are very cool. Also the music score is great. Diablo II was always in our library. Now this great game with all DLC is the top in our library. We hope you guys keep on this game with regular fixes and updates. It says 5 mo. Since update. But why fix what is not broken. Yes there may be some bugs here and there. But great work devs!
Will we see multiplayer compatability anytime soon for this version of the game? Will change to 5 stars then! :)
We are loving this game so much. We hope eternal embers will be added to this game.
The basics attributes of this version are as good if not better than the PC version (maybe due to auto-potion alone). The biggest issue is still the lack of storage space and the inability to mod (which can be done, they just have to add back bounce mods).
Do you have to play through once in normal mode before you can access epic or legendary mode? We are unable to chose those options – which was a bummer because we had already played the game through our old Titan Quest app, and was looking forward to moving onto legendary right away. Cheers!
There is no adaptation. The experience is not good.
Issue exists even after redownload whole app.
3.5 stars actually, Like Diablo, but mostly on a flat plane. Many faults, crashes even on newer iPad. Needs update, ruins, not playable. Prepare to repeat things so you level up to move on. For a paid game, needs a fix. Play fire its the easiest & best.
[27 Aug. 2022] A few tips for playing TQ. Save often. The game will crash anywhere at any time; each time means losing experience. The more portals a player does, the more likely the game will crash. Even changing from one player to another will crash the game. Keep track of resistances. There are sixteen resistances, and without the right ones a player will be easily defeated, especially by bosses and hero monsters. A player needs poison and slow resist to get beyond Rakotis, elemental resistances for Olympus, etc. Use rings and amulets. Ordinary armour will rarely include more than two resistances. So use rings, etc. With relics to make up for that situation. If you decide to use staves only as a magic player, then player strength does not need to be more than about 160 and player dext does not need to be more than about 275. But make sure you dont intend to use bows, swords, etc. At higher levels, such items need much more strength and dext than those values. We have a player in Legendary mode, and that is where we look to see what attributes we need, etc. Be wary of using thrown weapons; they have a range shorter than bows, and the game will bring the player closer to their target. But in TQ getting closer to a target is not always a smart idea. Be wary of using traps and decoys. If there are enemies behind the player, the player will turn to face those enemies and only then throw their trap. Likewise, if there are enemies to the left or right of the player, the player will turn to face those enemies and only then throw their trap. Briefly, when enemies are nearby the game will simply ignore what a player intends and instead will follow a course that TQ programmers have decided is best for the player. A better strategy would be to throw traps where there are no enemies, since it is harder for enemies to cover many separately located traps. But TQ programmers dont seem to know that strategy. Use scrolls if an enemy is too strong, or if you think there may be a hero enemy just around the corner. Scrolls are also useful against boss enemies. We use Unbroken Fortitude, Vengeance, and Suns Blessing. Use shrines whenever they are available. Expect hero enemies; they are an addition to the game and are sometimes tough to deal with. Twice, now, we have run into a skeleton hero which had massive poison damage and easily defeated our player. Without slow resistance we could not outrun that enemy. In each case, all we could do was recover our xp, save and then restart the game. One encounter in the Athens Catacombs, a second encounter in the Minotaur Palace. In each case, our player had 80 for poison resistance. Didnt matter. Keep control of your player. If you just press attack, the player msy run all over the place chasing the last enemy that hit them. We frequently need to keep our player from running past a slew of enemies to go who knows where, etc. Expect a confusing, sometimes illogical game. The game provides the benefit of a Termion skill, but negates that benefit by demanding more energy regeneration than the player can provide, even at higher levels. A Ring of Flame skill works the same way: provides a benefit but then requires more energy regeneration than the player can provide. The Thunder Strike skill, by contrast, provides a benefit similiar to the Termion skill but without the cost in energy regeneration. Expect weird stuff for armour and equipment. An overseers mantle will add 2 skills to Storm Nimbus, but also demands 380 for player strength. But magic players get no strength when increasing their skills. Likewise, a Fire Walkers set adds to Earth skills, but also demands 400 or better for player strength, etc. There is also an Ironwood Staff which adds +4 to iron will, but demands 386 or so for intelligence. But melee players get no intelligence, etc. We would call such items museum pieces. They are nice to put on display for oohs and ahs from passers by, but they are not likely to be used by TQ players during actual combat. Expect unaddressed program errors. Equipment which includes life leech resistance gives no benefit to a players vitality damage resistance. Evidently, when TQ programmers coded a SWITCH statement for Resistances, they did not include a CASE for Life Leech. We have a level 60 Haruspex player. When we check the stat for greatest monster killed, the game shows us storm wisp level 9. Not likely the case, since we have reached Chang An in Epic Mode. Somewhere in the game Haruspex has fallen thru the cracks. Our level 63 Templar shows us the same information. Dont expect attack damage converted to health to work with constructs or undead enemies. Evidently, TQ programmers did not get the memo that constructs and undead enemies do take attack damage. We probably mean vitality damage converted to health, since the enemies mentioned do not have vitality. We have found that adding 2 points to Intelligence usually gives more additional damage than any other combination. But the increase shown also depends on what weapon is equipped. Vendors have a random inventory. So if you buy a scroll, dont expect that vendor to be selling the same scroll the next time you visit. Enough for now. Hope those help. [end 27 Aug.]
Can we fix the amplifier stick over going the movement. It doesnt stop when you ended moving forward. The guy continues to step 2 more times then stops. Can we also make it easier to earn gold?
