Dive into Tormentum – Mystery Adventure
A nameless hero finds himself in a place between fantasy and nightmare. He doesn’t remember his name nor where he comes from. Wandering through strange lands, he struggles to discover the truth about the world around him, as well as about himself.
The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by the works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. The game’s final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon’s Souls or Dark Seed. This unique mixture gave life to a bleak and depressing world.
The story begins as the protagonist wakes up locked in a metal cage hanging below a large flying machine. It becomes clear he is its passenger against his will and the machine’s destination is unknown. The only vague memory he can summon in his mind is that of a sculpture atop a hill, depicting human hands reaching towards the sky.
Those are, however, the least of his problems as the airship descends its flight towards a huge, gloomy castle which soon becomes his prison. Thus begins the surreal story bordering somewhere between dream and reality…

We do not normally review Games, but we truly enjoyed this one. Well thought out, difficult but not impossible and most importantly… NO HIDDEN OBJECT BS! Nice job guys!
Im not even a huge fan of point n clicks but the art style is just gorgeous, and the dark tone and atmosphere is right up our alley… The inclusion of moral choices that determine your ending is also a nice touch… Glad we finally picked this one up after all this time.
This is a great puzzle game. We suggest you have plenty of time for this game because you wont want to put it down. You may even consider calling into work sick just so you can continue playing.
This is, by far, the darkest, most absorbing, challenging game we’ve played. The artwork is stunning, the story line macabre, the plot complex, the ending dramatic. Whoever or those who wrote this must be demented . It took us a week of several hours each day and the benefit of a YouTube walkthrough to complete. It generated some very interesting dream (and Im no spring chicken). Highly recommended. Well worth every penny.
Gorgeous gothic-surrealist art, reminiscent of H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski. This is really a cut above most point-and-click puzzle games. Very dark, compelling, disturbing. But definitely not for kidsit will give them nightmares!
We really like this game. There are no hints but the story really helps fill in the blanks. It is very satisfying to play and the artwork alone is worth the price. We havent finished it so we cant wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend.
We dont usually leave reviews but we’ve played dozens, possibly hundreds, of point-and-click adventure and escape games on iOS, and this game is the holy grail. Beautiful art, interesting puzzles, and incredible atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough. Just get it!
We really enjoyed this game. Great story with an awesome ending. Your decisions mean something in this game, so we played through twice to see what happens with different decisions and enjoyed all of it! If you like to see artwork from some twisted minds, this game is loaded with some cool stuff to see. Highly recommended.
We were a bit skeptical about buying this, but we love puzzles, and the artwork of the each scene drew us in. This game is fantastic and can show yourself who you are as the main character is not dignified. We have played this game over and over, while its not a long game, its one that stays with you.
We have had this game for a few years and every now and then we open it and play it again. Its actually a quite dark theme, but the end is good. One thing we’ve thought of is there needs to be a sequel. Its been left open for one, but nothing. We dont like having things hanging, but apparently this is going to stay that way. Anyway, the graphics are superb and we love it overall.
The art is insane. The puzzles are pretty good, we play a lot of hidden object and this one is good. At least the puzzles make sense and can be thought through. Its a very dark world. Maybe the game is a little short for similarly priced games? Hard to say as this one is different than the rest.
If you like using your head to figure out how things work, you will enjoy this. * we’re not sure how close we are to finishing but the only think we feel it needs it to be a bit tougher. * we do love how it’s almost like a maze your trying to keep up with where each room is while figuring out what you need from each one. *** (Has no commercials & no need to purchase a thing in game, for us is a plus)** Hope to find more like this when done.
The artwork in this is some of the best in our opinion! We love spooky hellscape artwork like this and occasionally replay this every once in a while.
Highly recommended. We didnt like it at first because we found the first couple of puzzles confusing, but it quickly grew on us. Give it a chance to grow on you and you wont be disappointed. Good replay value as well. We would like to see more adult games from this developer.

Played the complete game 4 times to get different endings, until we finally achieved our true goal. Creepy but awesome graphics and story telling. Enjoyed and recommend.

We dont write many reviews. We take exception to this title. Most games you play dont have a real story behind them or are seriously lacking in the methodology behind them. Not so for this game. Every choice you make will affect the ending, and you will not see the ending coming. (You cant get stuck or need to restart if you miss anything. If you miss it, it will still be available to you.) Loved it. To the developers: Great ending… But will she?
Excellent in all ways! The game has outstanding graphics, clever puzzles, and a coherent story line. There are multiple endings depending on how you play, so you can replay this game several times if you want. Highly recommended and well worth the $5.

Just as much as it is a game, it is a work of art. OhNoo Studio composed Tormentum’s elements into a beautifully cohesive combination of visual style, puzzles, music, and story. Our only gripe about the game is that it was a little short, and if given more length, could have allowed a more in depth plot. But sometimes less is more. The game is not perfect, and some puzzles seem a bit clunky in their logic. All of that is forgiven though, for they were able to master the most important thing that some games lack. Immersion!

We believe we have played games as well, or perhaps, even more elegantly put together… However, we have never played a game with a better storyline, a more emotionally charged atmosphere or one that will stick in our memory like this one will! Bravo to everyone who had anything to do with this digital journey. It is more than a game… It is a deep dive into our hearts and souls and dares us to look with truth at our lives, our decisions and which choices we make are truly the most honorable in the end. Thank you for the creation of a body of work that was wonderful to experience..

We absolutely loved this game. The graphics are awesome. It made us figure out what to do instead of offering hints. We truly hope we can find more games created by these guys. Btw – we never write reviews but this game deserved it.
We really enjoyed this game. The artwork is amazing and macabre! The puzzles were easy enough; we did not to need to consult a walkthrough at any point. One particular point caused us fits, but we managed. We dont see myself replaying the game in the near future as much as we liked it. There seem to be too few points in the game where we had to make a decision that could reasonably affect the ending. In all, we would estimate the game took us between five and six hours to complete. Well worth it.
First, thank you to all the people who put this game together. The art, the story, the puzzles and hints were challenging. Some gorey art may make this not a good choice for little ones-unless they are use to horror and have knowledge of special FX & how it is not real. We got out of the caves, past the train ride and still have more to play. This is not a short game. When we first started playing we had to cheat by watching a walkthrough on YouTube (otherwise now know as THEYTube with all the censorship going on…) Get this game!!! You will not be sorry. After our cheating once, it helped us to see what was needed and how to play better. It you get stuck, there are always walkthroughs. Do not give up!! This game is worthy of playing through til the end. We cannot say enough good things about it, we absolutely loved it.
Fantastic, disturbing art, reminiscent of Dali, Geiger and Beksinski wrap this classic puzzler. It doesnt break any new ground in gameplay, but provides a nostalgic experience. A deliciously rich, disquieting environment is the star of this game. The single con is that the dark palette makes a couple of the puzzles difficult to solve if you suffer from color blindness. Be prepared to hit a walkthrough if this is the case.
This game snatches your attention from the start! The artwork in every scene is amazing. This was the best game we have ever played on a cell phone!! We love puzzle games and to find out in the end that our choices actually affected the outcome, we were pleasantly surprised!! We plan to tell anyone whos willing to listen about this game!! Really enjoyed the game. Took us a few hours to finish. The puzzles were good without being super challenging. We even played the game a second time to see what would change at the end.

The atmosphere and music to this gAme really sold us on how much fun it is to play. The puzzles can be too easy at times but still a great experience of a game. Definitely found some interesting gems of dialogue and story here.
We never write reviews nor am we a fan of point and click puzzle games like this one. We usually find them completely tedious and way to difficult. This game, however, is absolutely fantastic. While some of the puzzles are difficult, the game is linear enough so its relatively easy to figure out what to do next. The dialogue is short enough where it doesnt feel like Im reading a novel and the characters are interesting. The artwork and style is also a huge plus. Very intriguing and dark world. This is one of our favorite games on the App Store.
We have played so many point and click and hidden mystery games but none top this one! Can be very hard and you think you are at a dead end, but then find what you need to do! We love having two different endings. Took a long time our first time playing it and then it becomes easier. The artwork is beautiful and good story line. Would love to do another one like this!!

The time and attention put into the artwork of each background scene is worth the price alone. There are a few instances we have come across allowing for multiple choice options so theres replay value, too. The music is phenomenal, the story line is fascinating, and the environmental ambiance created allows for a totally submersible experience. They also nailed the difficulty level of the puzzles. We are a huge puzzle gamer and we found their balance to be perfect, it was just challenging enough without it being too easy and not so frustrating that you rage quit. We absolutely adore everything about this game and hope they come out with more.

Edit: just finished the game and wow. This is far and above just more meaningful than pretty much ever other game we’ve played on iPhone. Even though its shorter than a traditional console game, this deserves to be on the level with one of them. It is a game that is going to stay with us for a long, long time. We saw no translation issues either. Some of the lines are spoken or written in riddles deliberately. This game is amazing and of the quality that we wish we saw more of in a mobile game. Great interpretation of Gigers art. Its definitely grotesque and at times disturbing, but nothing scary per se. It adds to the story and beauty of it actually. More thoughtful and meaningful than anything. The scenes are so intricate we found myself just staring at the them and zooming in for detail. We definitely want some high quality art from this game. Bravo, guys. Not for young kids for sure. The plot is poignant and there are some themes of mythology/religion enough to give it deeper meaning without beating you over the head with it. We want to learn more about this world. 1000% would buy another game from these guys.

This game is so cool. It is dark, with some morbid,yet beautiful, imagery. The outcome changes based on the decisions you make in the game. Its really thoughtful and the puzzles are a moderate challenge. Definitely not as hard as some – like you dont need to take notes or do math like some games we have played. We actually appreciated that, bc sometimes we just want to chill and enjoy interesting imagery and music without getting too frustrated. The music was absolutely delightful and matched the scenes perfectly. Hope they make another one!

Pleasantly surprised. With point and click games being a very saturated, and at this point, dull genre, it was nice to see a project undertaken by a indie team that was original and unique.
