Love this Game, but after update we are having a problem on our IPAD.
We lost our log in after spending so much money, costumer support team wont even reply to our emails to help us get our account back. They even have an office here in LA where we live, so no reason for them not to reply, and we even pay to play. All good reviews are from their own workers.
All JoyCity games have a very short lifespan. After the first year, the original development team moves on to work on new games. That is when the current games really get tossed aside. All their games with servers die off much faster than most other games. Customer service is not reliable at all. Sure you will see comments here about their games but none are personal and all are copy and paste. Do not expect any action taken on their part. They simply fake an active game long enough to get people to spend. Then the game is thrown away. Also, they love to revoke players accounts. Sometimes they create errors in the game and then ban any player who was involved. Of course how can the player be at fault when it is the company who creates the game errors. But JoyCity will never admit to being wrong. Instead they will ban your account without warning and send out emails blaming players. Again, not a reputable company at all. Play at your own risk. Although we have played the game since July 2017, we are throwing in the towel and quitting the game as of September 2021. The tech support, developers and customer service have not been able to address the instability issues on the iPad Air and several inoperable button with the discount store on the Samsung 8+. The poor customer service made working with JoyCity extremely frustrating. If you wish to succeed, be willing to invest significant cash. It is not worth the investment.
This game has actually came a long way since its beginning. It was fun at the start and yes some updates slowed its progress and it was another pay to win but we think since then and now it has risen from the dead and back to a fun game to play. We came back and it is easier to keep up then it was with the big dominions. Way to go Joycity thank you for making it enjoyable again. Hope it gets back to good reviews.
You can play this game without spending, but you wont ever get your strength up unless you do. Some spend a small fortune which makes it very difficult on those who dont.
This game used to be fun even with servers dying off, some slowly, others very quickly. It truly has become a money grab for the developers and just keeps getting worse. Events are repetitive and rewards used to be worth the time to grind out tasks for but now paying money is required to even get most event rewards. You will always fall just short of what is needed to collect so you might give in and make a purchase. The game also refuses to load for a lot of players unless they are on WiFi so definitely doesnt help server or alliance activity. We could go on about how account bans by support are taken advantage of by some players. To the point someone even posted a review here calling it a strategy for the game – Sad. We wouldnt bother downloading.
Best part of this game is the fact that you can get the powerful players banned fairly easily . Which means you can easily weaken your opponents clan and possibly tear apparent their alliance. The developers are very serious about perceived hazing , bad language and name calling. So, just get creative with fonts and screen shots and submit what looks like your opponent speaking badly to you to the Joy City customer service .. And instantly you can play without worrying about the strong player in an enemy alliance being able to participate in the war or events.
We love the game although we just started it. We find the none stop adventure very exciting this one a winner when it come to distressing.
Ive been playing this game for years, it was awesome the first few years, but now you cant advance without paying money. Really sad because we loved playing.

Good game just too many inconsistencies after update/ maintenance. They add too many items. Most cannot keep up so they quit. Need to add events that are fun and not repetitive or boring.
Tried the game after OW crashed. Too long too train and no way to shut off that annoying music.
Ever since this new update our screen just sit on 100%. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times yet the same thing happens over and over. Im able to get into the game using another device but it isnt our device. Its been almost 2 days and we still cant get into the game.
The game is expensive and full of bullies. If you dont mind spending tons of money on virtual games ok but we think what they put in their packs for purchase is a joke! Totally Not worth the money you can do so much more with your life than this game! Where is that merge that was supposed to have happened two months ago! Developers only thinking of fast buck not how to make it a great gaming experience.

Good game if you arent a complete noob at games. Take your time learn the mechanics and craft gear that makes sense. Server 3 is the best. Jagerman Rules.
Do yourself a favor, play something else Cost to much to get resources, they are simply not available without getting crushed by higher level players.the higher level players attack you as soon as your shield drops, any gear your wearing can be stolen by the attacker, your gear is lost at that point! Unless you are spending to be one of the top three dont bother with this game. Glitches keep your shield from being effective.

We dont know what happened but, this game no longer works. It just cant update/load past 79%. Very unhappy.
Improved graphics and more elegant and larger dominion in overall. What happened to the dominion?? The graphics seem improved and the dominion stronghold did looks even better… HOWEVER, we remember we could drag some miniature figures into water, and see them walking alone the streets in our dominion. Now these cool features had gone. Fix it pls.
The game is fun. We enjoy playing and doing events. However, the abysmal customer service and neglect of their customers makes JoyCity a dreadful developer to work with. Rarely are problems resolved in a timely manner, if at all. Accounts are completely lost with little more than a form email informing the player they have received their issue ticket. No resolution and no reparations to the customer. Updates are consistently glitchy and are usually followed by one or more smaller updates. Accounts are often difficult to get into, and again, rarely addressed in a timely matter. The game is seriously skewed in favor of players who spend a lot of money in the game. Gaining advantages by paying for packages is understandable and expected, but it is not okay to ignore and neglect legitimate players simply because they dont spend as much money as others. Overall, we really enjoy the game, but the developers seriously need to re-examine their customer service policies.
The game throws us out every time and now after the new update we cant enter the game Im stuck at loading screen then the game throws us out.
Errors: 1) Needs monster first kill for each level based on standards 2) Wrong kind of button shown when using things 3) Missing buttons sometimes including speed up buttons including for healing 4) Hit button and sent to a different thing than button says or needs 5) Different resource used than stated in alliance support sometimes 6) Lack of locks for two step things (mainly Production and Hiring) 7) No first kill for Fire Drake 8) Wrong prices in alliance 9) age limit errors More later Suggestions: Have level gate upgrades for each cannon. Ive played O&E for almost 2 years and at the beginning this game used to be fun to play. Then the upgrades started and all the new heroes and equipment and the changes to not being able to attack monsters and get what you needed. They tried to make the game more complicated and all they did was make it not fun to play. The mergers because players had stopped playing and the weekly updates made the continuity of the game diminish. Also the responses from the designers when a problem was emailed them was not helpful and not at all generous to their players. Not at all fun to play anymore…sad.
Been going here for about a year. It amazes us there are no restrictions on a lvl 32 player to smash us and pull all our resources. There should be a limit. Some of the active buildings are dumb. Craft? But the treasures you find in game are better so what is the point in spending all ur resources in crafting? On a positive note. The game is entertaining and keeps us building in order to catch up with the heavy hitters.
The wrap around chat is awkward. Many glitches. Big spenders run the game. New accounts are not getting the upgraded ships like the older accounts did. Fun to tinker with but unless you are a big spender, dont get serious with it.
Honestly Ill say whats been said over and over. The game used to be fun. We will say the graphics are good and the idea of an naval combat game seems well thought out. A few good things come out with updates, but huge bad things happen with them. Monster loot has dropped drastically and more and more and more items come every update. Quest really dont keep up with items its just a fail. As of the last update in June it seems healing is taking longer now we dont know maybe its us.

We like the game well enough but due too its similarity too another war game by MZ we will not keep playing it. The constant size upgrades are a minor annoyance but will lead too us quitting.
Be prepared for being demolished as soon as your shield drops!!! Alert system does not work if attacked.
As soon as your shield drops they auto find you. The server was down and we couldnt restart our shield. When we did get online, about 15 mins our shields were down we were attack 419 times. We have played this game over 2 years spend over 100k. No more and we will be doing a charge back of 50k for the last 2 weeks.
We played this game for over 3 years and put $$$ into it. Phone got broke ask owners to help us recover password to reset. They went on two weeks worth of questions, gave them information and still wanted more…so we just deleted the game and will NEVER download or pay money $$$ to any of their games they create or have currently. Also, think about this, they use to give you 45 million and more for ~RSS when you paid for gold. Not now, they got greedy for money $$$, so give you maybe up to ~18 million RSS, when you pay. Gamer and Buyer Beware.
Crap game equivalent to game of war highly recommend dont play very glitchy and unfair game play when 10 ships can take out 128 ship rally when a player can normally take out all but 25 lords in the server. Developers will not reimburse you for their game glitches so prepare to be treated like crap from customer service. Tons of disgruntled players who use vulgar language and they dont do anything about it. Tip dont play.
Developer has done horrible job with keeping players from cheating. A decent amount of paid players who you can see openly cheat. The goal is to make sure the normal players get attacked often so that you cant level up fast to encourage you to spend money. Disappointing really as game itself is fun. Got zero updates last time we were attacked it always sends a notification so we lost 25 million wood food 4 million iron 400 silver what a joke deleting account cuz its all about sucking money out of you.
In the beginning the game was great fun to play. We played the game for a long time. There were several major updates and with each update the game got worse and worse. If you are thinking about starting to play this game we would strongly recommend that you do not and save your time and money. Update 7/17/2018 – we just had a request to update our review. That was a surprise. Normally we dont comment on these programs but the changes were just really poor… Again, we strongly recommend that you look for another game.
Ive just started playing this after playing tides of war, its taking some getting used to, but our biggest problem with the game is that theres no way to get certain things, like the items you use for crafting. Im stuck on a quest that requires us to craft a helmet but we dont have enough items to do so. Monster hunting seems pointless as you only get a few xp and MAYBE some silver. Its made it really hard to get a good start on this game.
Ever since this latest update, it wont let us login. It says our internet is not connected when it is.
Hello, Recently the game has become too much of a "cash grab". It is impossible to get equipment (or anything) from hunting rewards. The game is no longer fun due to never being able to level up our character. Please fix this or you will lose players.
This game does not utilize the screen for iPhone X.
Ive been playing for about 5 months, and the game is a lot of fun. However, we would say DO NOT invest your money in it. 4 of our alliance members have not been able to shield for over ten days. They have complained and no resolution has been offered to them. They have invested money in the game and the developers do not seem to care, they told them to give them 8 days to resolve it, the 8 days passed and not even a message to update them was given. It is very discouraging to invest your money in a game and not be able to play.
Dont get this game. They left us and two alliance members stranded for two weeks, constantly delaying a fix for us and stealing your money. We were patient and waiting but still no response, no compensation, no nothing. We worked hard to get to level 31. It took us over a year. We spent lots of money. They dont care. Three ships in our alliance are stuck, unshielded, with ships missing! Im so disgusted, we are getting physically sick and so upset. We reported it to Apple but Im going to report them again! Totally terrible! Trust us! They did nothing! Dont get any games from Joycity! They steal your money and just dont care about your account! Thieves! They are thieves.
