This is a great game, one that we play every day. Very realistic. Many options to choose from, so we’re able to pick exactly how we want to play. Highly recommended. And the developer is quickly responsive to any issues that arise. If you like pool, you’ll love this game.
We have the latest version of Virtual Pool BEFORE VirtualPool 4. Virtual Pool NEEDS an update will not operate in landscape mode on our IPad OS 15.1 update.
We’ve had this app since 2014 . Back then it seemed that most pool games were not similar to actual movements on the table . It had been quite a time since we used the app . We AM ECSTATIC ABOUT THE WAY THE GAME PLAYS NOW ! It is fantastic, the BEST ! Thank you on the improvements . *****
Can we please select a different cue for the love of all things sane.
We own an iPhone SE and this last update has cut over a quarter of an inch of playing space on the screen on both sides of the screen. Need a fix ASAP. Also another complaint. In the last two three updates we noticed the cue ball has a problem rolling after striking a ball way beyond the normal expectation. Its the main cause of scratches and unintended ball placement after a shot. Fix this please.
Take the money and run. App virtually useless. Invites dont work. An opponent hits the cue ball in wrong direction. What gives? Update: had connectivity just last week and now we cant play. Invite our friends to play and nothing happens. Please fix.
We love this game. We had it on our phone for quite some time, but it did not upgrade when we got os 11. So we figured what the heck, and bought it again. Now whenever we open it in career mode, it crashes. Fix this and we will give it 5 stars!!
We’re only glad that it cost just $2. We’ve been attempting for over a week to play with friends on our contact list through the online selection and no one could ever connect. We think we were able to successfully play twice out of two dozen attempts. Moreover, if you do manage to connect with a friend to play and your phone rings? Game freezes. Have to reconnect and start a fresh game. If you go to a different screen, like say, if you’re replying to a txt msg, another game freeze -restart a new game… Etc. Had we known this, we wouldn’t even spent money to save myself the frustration. Developers must seriously FIX this asap!!
The newest update has a glitch in the settings. It won’t go back to the main game.
Virtual Pool Online is outstanding on iPhone 6 Plus.
We have tried many of the pool apps out there this one is the best real life experience of all the games. What’s most impressive is the progression of the games challenges. It’s a GREAT APP. We applaud the developer.
We’ve had this app since way back in 2009 when we bought it on our 2nd generation iPod Touch and we’re very happy to see it was updated to support our iPhone 6’s resolution now as well 5 years later. Probably one of our favorite games too so it’s great to see that it’s still supported. The only suggestions we have are maybe doing a new separate HD version using the new Metal API with swanky graphics and better sound but it’s still great the way it is for a simple yet highly addictive game of billiards.
Hey guys, we’ve been playing VP online on our iPhone for 4+ years now and still love it. The recent fixes (finally we got support for larger iPhone screens) are well appreciated. I’d love to see the following improvements though: – better button responsiveness – support for push out in 9-ball – ability to turn off aim aid for good.
Great game. Seems to have shaken off its past demons (I deleted our older 1 star review) and continues to be a great practice/learning tool. But we’re getting messages from our phone (iPhone 6s) that the app is slowing things down. Update, please. Thanks.
We’ve also been playing virtual pool for a long time but since the last update won’t load. We’ve turned our phone off and back on three times with no luck. It’s a bummer because we really like this app. It would get five stars for us if it would work again.
Since installing IOS8, we lost all our careers, started a new one and now it’s gone. What’s going on?
Best app ever, but since we upgraded our phone now it just shuts off after Curley’s video intro in career mode. We have restarted it several times, but no luck. We even re-installed twice, but same results.
When playing the computer it’s a great game until the computer moves the ball inappropriately to get a good shot. They’ve taught it to cheat!
Game glitches a lot. Do not waste your money. The game said we had already beaten the boss then glitched and we lost 20,000 coins why work harder and wasted time on a game that doesn’t work. You’d be better off buying gum than this game you’ll definitely be more satisfied.
We used to love this game that we play it most of our spare time, but now its taking 4ever to play ONLINE.
That’s our only complaint – this game’s gameplay is very similar to Virtual Pool 2 gameplay. We bought Virtual Pool 4, and it was incredibly realistic. But we’re not sure how Virtual Pool online compares to Virtual Pool 4. However, it does have a career play similar to Virtual Pool 4, and we still like to play this game. Virtual Pool is electronically the world’s best pool game ever. We recommend it.
Please update it and change the cue ball into aramith cue ball. It would be best pool game ever. Lots of people sure will love it. We’re all in new generation. Then it’s time to update into aramith cue ball.
Best online pool game, hands down. Curly makes it even better!
That’s our only complaint. There are times when the cue ball defies physics. This unrealistic spin almost always end in the cue ball being scratched. Still, it’s the best pool game on iPhone.

Great game. We’re thankful that Celeris made this game available to mobile gamers. However, it would be nice to see the developers continue to work on it. (Better graphics, iPhone 5 support).
Adjusting the spin seems more difficult then original app. Also seems to have slight overspin in 9 ball but not 8 ball. Can this be possible? At least the sound is fixed. Hopefully, some fine tuning will follow.
Since upgrading to iOS8 careers are not saved after quitting. Game shows GameCenter login at launch, so it is trying. Love this game, hope developers are still developing.
Update for iPhone 5 & fix some of the issues others are complaining about. We have owned this app since 2008 & has been our favorite pool game.
Play Curley in 6 ball quick play. Extremely difficult to beat this cat. Been playing for years and am a skilled player. It is near impossible to beat Curley. He rarely misses, but when he does you are japped. No shot. He usually runs the table, sinks the 6 ball routinely on the break, sinks multiple balls on the break, and never scratches. He’s got the best touch of the que that nobody could possibly match. You get him down a game or two out of three, and you will see Curley make the most amazing shots. Incredible! You break and you are luck if you sink one ball. Shots you take that you think would never scratch the que ball on seem to scratch at an alarming rate. This is a good game but needs some refinement for touch of the que and sight lines down the table. Why do we players never break first?
Love this game and have had it for years now. While the sensitivity takes a bit to get used to, it can be learned and the extreme spin borders on what may be achieved with a masse type hit. The glitch we come across repeatedly is when playing a defensive shot, rather frequently the CPU will randomly relocate the cue and shoot. This is a big problem. Also, why is the highest rating you can get? We play all games in "good luck" mode and have a 2800+ rating in all if them. Where does it max out?
New version won’t play straight pool in career even after going through the entire sequence through all games and players, and beating Curly in rotation.
Just updated last night, now we can’t play the game. We used to love this game and play all the time, but now all the functionality is lost. Frustrating!
Guys we just bought this game for the ipad but it doesnt support online why and either game center.
Used to be great. Now annoying to play. You have to tap buttons 3 or 4 times now to get it to recognize the tap. And UPDATE FOR IPHONE 5!
Used to be four stars now can’t really give it more than 2. It doesn’t record victories the opponent will move the ball when illegal shoot it into the pocket and ruin the game on ten ball. Once you beat the game in 8 ball it won’t record any more victories. These are just a few. And their consistent and predictable. Still fun if you play every shot like its the last.
Updated to iOS 8. Game no longer retains the history. Have to start over every day. No good.
We keep losing our career and have to keep reloading and starting over! Loosing patience with this game ! Update please!
Great graphics. As for the playing, well looks like even the low level computer players are ‘pros’. It was a great game 4 yrs ago when we 1st bought it. We even was able to move up the ranks. But after an update years ago, it became annoying when all the computer players became great players, even Dank. Well we thought we would play again. Seems nothing has changed. We will be stuck at the garage level. But the graphics are good. Rack’em up Dank.
Please, what have you done? We play this game every night on our iPad to relax. Since the last OS update, it does not hold our progress nor our profile. We stayed up until 3am a week ago to beat everyone and get back to our ability to play in all rooms. The next morning it was all GONE! No profile, no progress. So we figured maybe we needed to buy the HD version – the same thing happens on that. Same situation on both our iPad and our iPhone. It looks like nothing has been updated on your website since 2012. PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS. We absolutely love this game.
We’ve been playing this game over 5 years!!! After recent update we hate it!! We hope developers read the reviews and consider bring the old version back! It was our favorite game on our iPhone, iPad, and iPod…
We almost never give reviews, At least once a week we think about deleting this app. They make you scratch when it goes against science, logic, law…. It’s horrible the way they cheat you in this game.
NEWEST UPDATE COMPLETELY WRECKED THE GAME! Complain to Apple regarding this company and do not buy anymore of their apps!!!
