A Glimpse into Wanderlight

If you are ready to invite people of all ages into the faith in an entirely new way, then introduce them to Wanderlight: A Pilgrim’s Adventure™ where the Pilgrim can show them how our Catholic faith shines! Start your free 3-day trial today!

Wanderlight™ A Pilgrim’s Adventure is a faith-filled, adventure game that invites players to explore the Catholic Faith in an engaging and beautiful world. Players embark on a pilgrimage, a journey of spiritual discovery. Along the way, each player, in the role of “the Pilgrim” encounters a series of quests that help deepen their faith through exploration and practice of Catholic prayers, traditions, and social teaching.

A glimmering Sparkle Path helps Pilgrims navigate the world while completing their quests. Their way is illuminated by a special Lantern that grows brighter or dims based on decisions the player makes to “shine their light” by reflecting God’s love. Journeys are more fun with a companion, and the Pilgrim is always accompanied by their dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

During each quest, the Pilgrim travels through towns and cities that are lively and bustling, full of different characters: people who need help, people who give directions, and people who give guidance—including saints! The Valley, the City, and the Forest each have a Catholic church that provides additional opportunities to learn about the sacraments and sacramentals.

When the Pilgrim needs a rest, he or she can always retreat to his/her Prayer Tent to experience prayer, songs, and basic tenets of the faith.
Pilgrimages can be long journeys, but Players can always check their in-game Tablet for Maps, quest progress and a record of gameplay.

This is great for teaching about Catholicism. The simple graphics and interesting storylines make for a fun game. There are fun levels and it would be worth buying, but there are a few problems. We couldn’t play this on our iPad anymore, after we purchased this, then stopped playing for a few months. When we came back, we couldn’t log in because it kept asking for a teacher or student login, but we bought this as an individual. We instead played it on our family’s Windows 10. We logged in on Google Chrome, but at certain points it would crash with an error. If we remember correctly, the error was always the same. As we write this, it keeps crashing on Level E, when you click on the little ‘yes’ button after Ranger Rowan says, "All right! Let’s go!" as they are about to confront Mr. Dyer. Our younger sister is experimenting, walking around for some time instead of talking to the Junior Ranger Leader (where we last saved), but it still crashes. We really hope you fix this because we enjoyed it so much.

We bought an individual license and activated it on the laptop as instructed. Then downloaded the app but the only log on options we were given were for either teachers and administrators, or students who had a code from their school. Its ok on the laptop but Im frustrated there is no option to log on with user name and pa in the app, instead of a code. Also we went back into the laptop. Erosion when we couldnt get into the app and it hadnt saved her progress even though we said save and quit before we logged out. The game itself seems fun but fir the parent the setup and transition between devices needs work.

Was going to buy for our kids but we dont want to pay monthly. Deleted app.

This game sets a young explorer on a pilgrimage and introduces them to many of Jesus teachings and the men and women of Church history. We just love having our children interacting with so many different people in the community and making learning fun. We would like to see new levels developed with increasing depth of content to continuously keep the childs interest. We would prefer a single purchase price for this game or a subscription model only if it included other apps from Loyola Press. Thank you.

Our 9yo and 7 yo have been playing this game since it released a few days ago and love it! They enjoy the game and also learning about their Catholic faith. We would give it 5stars but it is awfully easy for them. With limited screen time they are able to pass a level each day. Unless they create more levels quickly we will no longer need our subscription by September!

What a disappointment! Was really looking forward to this game, but Im not going to go on a subscription. Why cant you just purchase it?? Please reconsider!

Too bad. The game looks good. But the only way to play is to have a subscription. It does not offer the option of pay-to-own. Bad.
