Community Insight:

FYI: YES you are able to keep everyone alive. Ive played this game multiple run throughs keeping everyone alive. Its possible but requires a lot of strategic moves. Ive had a lot of characters die as well. Enjoyed this game very much. Ppl complaining about a heavy advantage towards the death ratio. Just GET GOOD.

It seems like many of the reviewers need to accept the reality that you are not going to be able to save everyone. As much as you want to. Think of it like this::: does Rick get to save everyone in The Walking Dead? No matter how hard he tries, or how well prepared he is, its just a fact that some of his closest friends and confidants are going to die, and its a fact that he needed to accept. Its a fact that youre going to have to accept going into this game. If you can, theres a very good chance that youll wind up enjoying this game. HUGE thank you to the devs for making a fantastic turn based strategy/zombie title. Once we started we didnt want to play anything else until we completed it. And after that, we wound up reinstalling some older zombie based games that we previously just could not get into and played the bejesus out of them. Easy-peezy 5 stars from us.

God this game is so good. It checks EVERY single box we had for it going into it. We only have one question.. Is it possible to save everyone? We gotta know. Ive been stuck on this supermarket level for over 24 hours all together because Im determined to loot everything and save one; am we wasting our time.

Great art, great asymmetric character powers, very fun gameplay. Consider toning down the difficulty of the final level. It took a lot more tries and effort than the rest, and even then, we cant manage to get no deaths.

Hard game to put down, all the way to the end. Great strategy fix, and filled with procedurally venerated movie moments. Thank you for making a great iOS game.

Fun game so far Im we still at the beginning.

We never leave reviews but this one is just too good. Thanks Max the creator.

To be honest this game is fun. Reminds us a lot like fire emblem but with zombies.

The difficulty and fighting makes it scary but exhilarating. Word of warning dont choose high difficulty if its ur first time.

Really great to play but even on easy mode, this game is still really difficult and seems impossible to play keeping all the characters alive. We also think that its really greedy to ask for coins to rewind your turn, especially when you already have to purchase the game in the first place.. We play a lot of old school Nintendo games so for us to say this is a difficult game is saying a lot. We just ended up giving up and stopped playing.

We find ourselves in love with anything related to an apocalyptic setting. Whether the world ends mysteriously to disease, or technology has overtaken humanity… However zombies have always been a soft spot. Ill admit we were very excited to see this recommended as we needed a good offline game to kill time on during our slow days. However, this game frustrates us to no end. A lot of times we apply so much strategy to the game, thinking that if it was made and finished it has to have an ending with the best possible outcome. Heres the issue: it feels like the game is designed to take advantage of the death mechanic in which that your crew will die so quickly due to the sheer numbers. Even the best possible planning we still lose one member of the party, something that is going to cripple us in the long run if we do, because each level adds even more zombies. We even switched the difficulty to the easier setting and felt like it was still unplayable at times. Ill have to sit for an hour rewinding and rewinding because we didnt move exactly the right way and now a vital character is gone. Just corpsed. Definitely a fun game and tests our patience and strategy, but the levels are just too much sometimes… And its only the first few- as if the late game will be genuinely impossible or the game is just short and prepares you for that feeling.

Theres literally no difference in difficulty between the two modes. This game needs a lot of work. As of right now, 2-22-2020, its not worth the money.

This game is very fun: a simple turn based strategy with an interesting setting and a few good mechanics. The problem is the difficulty of the levels and the food mechanic. You wont find enough food to feed your whole party on any level unless you let party members die during a level. Otherwise you will have to choose between party members to kill off via not feeding them. Theres almost no point in having the hunger/food system because the further you progress in the game almost every player in your party will start the level with one star of health so you need to try and be perfect and not get hit once. After about the seventh or eighth level the amount of zombies becomes just about impossible to surmount. As others have said, the mechanic of choosing to kill off members of your party is abused and not a great tactical idea anyway because you need as many attackers as you can get as you progress in the game. The lesser difficulty makes almost no difference either. Turn based strategies are fun when you can actually play them and not immediately head into losing party members. The later levels feel like one is always on the back foot and constantly trying to replay turns or the whole stage. That doesnt make for much fun in our opinion. We paid for this game as it looked really fun and we appreciate the creators work; however, its a waste if its an impossible task to win and progress parts of the storyline without killing off half the party or more.

First half of the game is playable. Its an enjoyable experience that takes a few hours, its like a stripped down into the breach. Then you realize every level has more zombies, stronger zombies, and less resources than the last. There is no reprieve. There are no interesting decisions to be made since if you dont play flawlessly you cant beat the game. Chill difficulty just gives you more food, it doesnt change the fact that the levels are unplayably hard.
