This game vastly improves on the last War Tortoise, which was already an amazing game, by having a much greater variety of upgrades and customizability options, as well as an additional layer of strategy fun with the amazing travel system.
Best detailed mobile game Ive ever played.
The game is an idle game, it has strategy in the way you upgrade. A few things unlock only after time which is kinda neat. Please fix these bugs: 2 babies both have the same active skill to ascend units. Kai and ben. That cant be right cuz there is no benefit. Our beetles get 90% of our daily mutations. They are over 2trillion when our next highest is only 600b and most around 300b. We noticed this after u added chickie so maybe the order is wrong and something else should be getting that higher max? Our only hero to get daily is dragon. In adventure mode our assassin frogs follow. They dont fight but it is a glitch. Also u cant see dark boosts in adventure. There appears to be a spot where adv mode bonuses should be listed but it stays blank. Lastly every time we leave and come back our total power drops in regular mode. Do some of the passive bonuses intentionally not save.
Honestly, hands-down one of the best games out there right now for the phone. Keep updating and releasing content love this game love the devs keep it up Update 07/30/25 Im waiting for a 3rd installment we love this game.

Wish theres an option to customize your Home base defence. Since the 80s to today we all love to shoot some zombies . Wish there was another surviving Zombies Apocalypse like War Tortoise! Another thing is for challenge players to turn and shoot at 360 degree, its way too easy just to be able to shoot in one direction.
This is pretty much the only game we consistently play, its easy to grasp, easy to play, and actually quite enjoyable. There is so much depth to this game while still being simple, we recommend this game to anyone who will listen.
If youre anything like us (and love turtles) then this is the action packed game for you! (Theres basically no adds and its entirely free!!!).
We remember playing this endlessly in our teen years (the original one that is) but this has only gotten so much better lol.

If you enjoy building different play styles like strength builds, speed builds or defensive builds and just love good game mechanics. This is a great game.
The only game we return to and actually enjoy. Its a fun game and we really like how unique the gameplay is.
Who ever developed this game is awesome and they should make more games or put this game on console or steam or something but bigger and better than it already is.

First time Ive ever done a review. Had an issue, messaged the devs on discord, they responded and addressed it in less than 8 hours. This is a small team and they put out incredible games. Free to play is dead these days but they are keeping it alive.
Why even have an armor and life level if it gets wiped out in a second before you can respond with a stimpak? Its very frustrating.
Really good, just a little hard. But that makes it fun. (Probably just a skill issue).

If you liked the first one, this game follows in its footsteps and expands on your freedom of upgrades. Overall, generally a decent game. HOWEVER, the greed of the developers is so much worse this time around. Advertisement upgrades are mandatory if you plan on playing for more than a couple minutes at a time. Getting anything useful is blocked by paywall, or multiple advertisements (Im talking 10 minutes or more per good upgrade). If you dont want to pay real money or play Watching an advertisement simulator then we suggest going back to the first game.
This is one of the OG good iPad games, came back after years and was surprised to see that it was still in development and supported with new features and characters and biomes to explore. We still have our in app purchases, and they seem to be just as effective as they were 4 years ago. We would recommend this game and developer as they seem to respect us the consumer.
This game is so fun and addicting.
We gave the first one a try and it brought us back to classic mobile game era just upgrade and rebirth and well balanced too no cash grab no adds every second just good old grind it was very fun game now this game however took modern features of games and combined it with there classic theme they did an amazing job with both games but this game has so much more to it and Im very happy it got the support it deserves def a great mobile game Im very greatful to have came across this please download if you havent already.

Editors should recommend this game more. We have over 200 game apps and this has got to be in the top 5 IMO Was incredibly impressed the moment we picked it up. Just when we thought we saw the full game we discovered adventure mode which was like another game altogether strapped into the backpack of the main game! The first week playing it already compelled us to buy (no ads VIP) and passes for the already FREE TO PLAY.
This game is so good and high quality the amount of gun models and stuff is perfect for us and plz add the rocket launching pod thingys that are mounted on the right side of the tortoise in war tortoise 1 into this version of war tortoise.
This is a very awsome game but it gets to hard faster then you think and uhh we say you should add more things but we LOVE IT AND SO IT DESERVES 5 STARS.
This game is absolutely very good, it has many different worlds and environments to afk through. However, here is the bug report; if you use the golden eagle while in an adventure in the adventure lands, and then use the golden eagle again, the game just breaks. Like, there are adventure signposts on the main map and the units you have cant move. This game is very amazing though, that bug is very unlikely to occur, and you can fix it by exiting and entering the game. Have fun out there, Pilot, and destroy the enemy to bring back mankind.
One of the best mobile games we have ever played and probably the best idle game out there but its not just and idle game it has fps functions and a fishing mechanic, if we could change even one thing about this game it would be that the fishing mechanic is kinda flunky even though it is very enjoyable its kinda hard to learn how to time the hooks right anyways we would rate this game a 10/10.
Underrated and slept on , this game is cool and theres no game like it.
The graphics are amazing the characters are funny and we love it.
So this game is the goat, but despite all it has it feels small and confined. Our suggestion is a third game with the same concept, but instead of from the side of the tortoise it is head on. Also instead of kinda random backgrounds and areas, how about a full map with terrain and vantage points, and the ability to station in chosen areas. Also, tortoise customization seems limited, so what about being able to equip different pieces of armor and being able to dye it. For ex, a tortoise helmet dyed purple and leggings dyed blue. ALSO, what about the ability to walk around as the pilot, but just need to stay in proximity of the tortoise, and you can have your own little gun kinda like titanfall. Just a few suggestions but this game is a masterpiece.

The game is very amazing and fun, but it was a little boring later. We hope there can be more interesting ways to play. By the way, the game always makes the mobile phone stuck and hot.
This game would benefit massively from being on PC. Its just too grindy (Spend 10+ hours a day to get anywhere late-game) for a mobile. Computers can handle being on for hours at a time, but phones simply werent designed that way. Original review, App Store bug caused it to glitch out of our control so we cant edit the original, and needed to repost. Response to Developer response on original post: didnt know it was already out on Mac, but we have had it on Steam wishlist for a while, praying that someday Id see it available to download. If you have a 2024 Quarter for the release in mind, knowing would be great.
Im a casual player ive had the game for a few years we dont have time to really grind those permanent fishing perks or adventure perks id rather just spend some real money.
This is a great game, the only thing we have beef with is that of the daily score streaks twice we have missed a check in and had to start our 200 day score streak and the one we had restarted 110 day streak lost. Kind of annoying, wish there was like maybe something to have a second chance watch an ad or something to get maybe the streak back.
Add a free movement pvp and Ill change our review to a five. Also weapons on both sides.
Honestly we just find the idea amazing and the gameplays pretty good to we also like the graphics but it would be amazing if you could name your tortoise us and Timmy have some work to do byeee.
We would like to see more unique tortoise that has the ability to turn regular units into powerful units like the paladin mouse and dragon bat. Maybe even a magic unit Maybe more units like dryad, treeman, rhino, tanks, elephant, human adult (knight) etc.
We love tanks. We love animals. We love this game.
Only issue with it is theres no leadership board :( we wanna see if im top dog yet.

We were in a plane that was plummeting towards the ground and was just playing this game, this game gave us power and when it crashed everyone died but us! This game also cured our severe depression and anxiety and can be valid disease/condition treatment.
This is a great game its designs of character are very vital and living love how they fuse animals into war characters. A game over the years that Ive played.
