Community Insight:

Its a great game that can help kill the time when you are at the airport or dmv. But man, its so addicting it can take up a big chunk of your time if you are not disciplined. Its similar to advance wars with the same infantry, artillery, tanks, and air units. Quirky story but amazing level layout. It makes you think and solve, and rates you on your performance. Gold is good but blue is best. Aim for all blue and you have a game that last you a very good long while. Totally worth the $5.

This game is great. If u love old Gameboy Advance Wars then this is just like it. And it has a bunch of fun armies that talk smack and have cool stories.

Would be even better with controller support.

So what if Im about 6 years late on this review? We started playing Warbits again recently and it hit us that Ive never left an honest review for it. Its never too late we guess. That being said, this game is LEGIT. It has been one of our favorite iOS games since it was released years ago, and has been one of our favorite strategy games in general. Ive played a lot of them, so please take that as a big compliment. We wont drag this review on, because other reviewers have already praised it for its gameplay, visual style, music, dialogue, etc., etc., but DANG we love this game! The only super minor complaint we have is that its not full screen on our iPhone 11, and that once in a while little glitches will happen here and there, like charges flying off the screen upon earning them, and a few icons not lining up properly. Im still giving it 5 stars though, because for a game thats been around this long, its still super fun and looks great. Devs, please create more games, or magically update this one, because bravo! Sincerely, thank you for this gem.

If youre missing good ole advance wars 1/2 on the switch, or like us youre patiently biting your nails waiting for the reboot. Then this game is for you! Trust us, its well worth the pricetag for the nostalgia itll bring. Even the music is styled after good ole AW. So goooooooood.

As a long time Advance Wars fan, we turned to this when Nintendo recently postponed the AW remake. It was a blast, with some rule changes to keep things fresh, and steady elevation of the challenge in the campaign, which we just finished. We should mention we turned away from Warbits years ago because we thought the unit graphics were hard to distinguish. We still think that, but it is very much worth the effort. Cant wait for the upcoming sequel.

This Advanced Wars clone is great, it runs smoothly and is a ton of fun. Ill admit we bought it for the nostalgia and it delivers 100%. It needs more DLC campaings but there is plenty of content to justify the 5 bucks.

The game feels a little like Advanced Wars. They story is not super serious nor deep but we would say it is a fun experience when you need to scratch your strategy game itch on the go. It also works alright on MacOS even if the controls were not designed for it.

It is very cleanly made, and as far as mobile games go, it doesn't get much better.

Wish to see Warbits+ as soon as possible.

If you are looking for a copy of Advance Wars on your phone, this is about as close as you can get! It doesnt have the battle cutscenes, but frankly, we didnt miss them. Even the art style feels like a modernized AW. Lots of different game modes here, and great fun. Sadly, its been several years since it was updated.

Yes its got all the same idea s but its really a lot more.Anyone who has been a fan of this type of turn base tactics will love this.

Game has potential… Just make a multiplayer mode with 1 minute turns and BOOM perfect! Its a good game besides the Looooooonng turns on multiplayer.

Great turn based strategy. Highly recommended.

Great products are sometimes hard to find but this is a must own on iPad or iPhone. Supremely well done! More please.

If you miss the gameplay of Advance Wars, then look no more! Warbits is the Advance Wars port that Nintendo has not yet published.

Great game, although does experience some bugs. We wish they would work on more levels, features and maps. We would pay for them.

Its an amazing game in the Wars series style, but its more than just another clone. Well thought out, tactical and strategic play backed up by beautiful graphics and matchmaking puts it at the top of the genre.

Love the games we think it needs to add more units like a new tank or mortar but besides that we love your game. You should watch include JoJo reference JK.

Great game! We sold our GBA and Advance Wars along with it. This game is a PERFECT replacement….it is even better in a lot of ways.

If you loved Advance Wars, youll love this game, since its pretty much a carbon copy. All the gameplay mechanics and units youre familiar with are here. We dont like the new powers system as much, but if you wish Advance Wars had a mobile version, just get this one.

If you love Advance Wars, youll love this. Great game.

A very fun and beautifully polished rendition of Advance Wars that is great for a long suffering Advance Wars fan like us. Great: Nice graphics and sound design. Well designed. Actually has sniper units! Straightforward and not free to play crap. Okay: Music, no battle cut-ins Meh: Storyline, while it can give you a chuckle or two, it feels like an afterthought and the characters are all generic Schmoes. For the price, however, it seems like a great value.

If you like Advanced Wars and want to play it on your phone. Download this game.

This is a really fun version of Advanced Wars.

This is by far the best war simulator, with economic strategies to war plans, its truly a beaut. Update: they need to really update this game. Maybe add boats? Idk but this gets really boring with the same units over and over again.

The gameplay in Warbits is great. The developers definitely understand what made Advance Wars so fun and bring that out in this app. Our rating of three stars is because half of the game, the multiplayer, is no longer functioning. Since Gamecenter got the boot, all of the multiplayer content is bricked. You arent able to do any of it with the exception of local hand-off matches. Great game, guys! Just give it an update to the multiplayer and it will be perfection.

Its Advance Wars! Well worth it if you enjoyed those games.

For players of a certain other handheld turn-based strategy game from the GBA years, this is the homage weve all been looking for. This is about as close to perfect as the genre gets. The matches during the campaign ramp up in difficulty at just the right pace. The available units fit together in all the right ways to enable boundless options and tactics. Knowing when and how to use charges tactically is half the battle Guardian is our favorite for holding down routes and enemy unit factories to prevent further enemy action. The interactions between generals is chuckle-worthy. The menu and navigation system is downright genius. You can pick it up in a few minutes, but master it only after several hours. We love this mobile game in ways man should never love a mobile game.

Challenging and entertaining regardless of the stupid (childish) banter between the aliens.

Fun Game. Next best thing to Advance Wars going mobil.

Solid advance wars type game. Imagine having a game that fun one your phone.

We grew up on gameboy handhelds and to this day the one game we miss is the advance wars series. Warbits has a similar style and feel, but the units are distinct enough that it feels like a new game. If you have never played the series, warbits is worth your time just on the writing alone. We lost track of how many times we've laughed out loud (in the literal sense) because of the writing and we're always sending screenshots to friends. We haven't dabbled in online play or challenge mode yet but if it's even 10% as good as the campaign then we would say this is the best value you'll find in a strategy game. Our only desire is that they optimize the game for iPhone X, but that's just nitpicking at this point.

Games like this are hard to find. It's a great turn-based strategy game with a fun feel, and so far, no in-ap purchase BS. Worth every penny.

Almost flawlessly executed turn-based strategy game. The single player campaign and challenges will provide many hours of play time. The AI is pretty good but not as good as a skilled human. The multiplayer is good but could use some improvements such as: rankings/leaderboards, better game matching system, and a better way to message other players (e.g. Being able to directly invite other players to a game). We never played Advanced wars, but was big into the browser-based Weewar back in the day. Weewar didn't have a campaign, but the multiplayer was amazing. If Warbits can improve the multiplayer, then it would set the bar for turn-based strategy battle games.

The story is a bit silly but the gameplay reminds us of Advance Wars. We still need to see how the multiplayer is but we are enjoying it all the same.

If you loved the original advanced wars, you will love this game. It takes the core elements of what made AW amazing and adds to it the game without taking anything away. Its a steal for 4.99 you will waste so much time on this game its not even far. No micro transactions!!!!! To the developers…. Thank you. You have made an AW lover so happy.

Im glad some people still know how to make a good strategy game. Pick it up and play and come back to it later on the campaign.

Can't be happier after deciding whether it was worth $5.. Very similar to advanced wars but the powers are way more balanced. Great multiplayer too! Just wish we could have invited and random players in custom games. Also, the jokes and humor is pretty weird.. But we skip over it most of the time anyways! Get it and play us :).

Reminiscent of advance wars the creators have made it their own. The art style is adorable and the dialogue is hilariously nerdy. The powers certainly add a different element to the game. However, we do miss the naval units from advance wars and the idea of stealth units. The map design is very well done. We really enjoyed the variety. In all it was a very enjoyable game with a spin on nostalgia. —— Critiques: we think the healing from apc's is a overpowered. If you have 2-3 apc's you can heal an absurd amount of units. That's also self sustaining since APC's can heal themselves. The game play is quite fun however, we think the super powers and AI could use some tweaking. It doesn't seem to be that balanced. *If you want we'd be interested in helping with the AI part. We're a data scientist by day and would have fun working on it.

Fantastic game. Great personality and perfectly matches the feel of Advance Wars.

We know a lot of reviews say this, but this game is just like advanced wars. However this game does have the unique mechanic of charges instead of the CO powers which makes the matches a lot more even since every team can do the same things. You can use the charges to suit your play style and since there are so many charge abilities theres always one that works best no matter what situation you are in. It also is very smooth and we have yet to run into any glitches at all. The only thing that we really would want added to this is a map maker which would add endless amounts of extra content. Overall its very good and relies entirely on good strategy and getting the best use out of your charges.

Fantastic game. Plays super smooth, has multiplayer, good soundtrack, nice graphics, and it's effectively an AW game. IS would even have a hard time making a game this good for the phone. 5/5 for sure.

Storyline a little silly but good gameplay. Well worth the money.

Fans of Advanced Wars will find this a suitable upgrade.

Captures the Advance Wars vibe better than any other game we've played on the App Store! The units don't look at distinct from the terrain as they do in AW, making it sometimes hard to see your units … And the story is sort of silly – we will defend people putting ketchup on their eggs TO THE DEATH! … Well, not that death … But the mechanics feel very good generally and everything just gives off a polished vibe. We're excited to play more :).

A great take on Advanced Wars. We love it. Beautiful graphics.

Besides a chess puzzles game we have, this is definitely the best strategy game we've played. And alongside an action/platformer app called Mushroom 11 this is one of our favorites. We loved advance wars on the GameBoy advance, definitely provided a change of scenery from chess, so this is an excellently designed copycat. We have beat the first two territories so far and we have not yet scene warships such as diving submarines though but hopes r still fairly high.

A more intelligent game than the "clash of (insert war-like noun)" pay-to-play garbage pumped out by the major mobile gaming studios.

This is the game we all loved in a new quirky wrapping. Touch controls port over seamlessly. Until Andy rises from the grave, we'll be happily playing this surprising gem.
