We’ve been playing for 5 minutes and Im already in love.
So before we write this we have to admit that we rarely ever leave reviews on the apps we play. However, this game was just so interesting and unique, that we felt the need to share our thoughts on the App Store. (Skip to the last paragraph for a summary cause Im about to let loose yikes.) Foremost is definitely the art style. Each character has their own specific features that ensures their recognizable, and easily reflects the hard work from the developers. (Not to mention that the dogs are just too adorable!) Every dish has its own artwork that goes into a recipe book, and these illustrations can actually be useful in helping you learn the ingredients for each food item. To sum it up: we never get tired of the art in this game, and all its various details. Next to the artwork is most likely the system this game is built on and all its different activities. Although Im still relatively new to this game, we seem to have found a nice pacing for playing. This app has plenty to do, but not so much that you feel overwhelmed. Everything is pretty much optional. You can focus on advancing your career as a chef, completing all the recipes possible, or even occasionally grinding to complete holiday themed missions. We love the freedom, and fill the time between making food with gathering more ingredients. Basically the game can both be left alone for a few days, or actively played if desired (in our experience). Finally (since this review is already long enough) is the customization. At first we were worried that this game would be too one note and lack any particularly exciting opportunities for experimenting. However, as we played more, we began unlocking materials and getting more money to buy things for our restaurant. Having the ability to dress up our character, change our stores theme, and customize so much more in this app keeps us motivated. These items make us want to play and unlock new materials. Its a simple thing that unfortunately you dont see in many other games nowadays. Not to mention, it keeps you invested and gives you another reason to play. In general, despite the lack of attention this game receives, it has many unique and entrancing features that repeatedly draw in us in to play. The game can be fun for both heavily active players, as well as those that simply enjoy a game to mess with every so often. The art style speaks for itself, and truly adds to the overall experience. The only real downside of this game is the significant presence of ads. You can play the game fine without them, but you can only really play good with them. Although youre never forced to watch ads, rare currency is often only available as rewards for watching these videos. We personally dont mind them (Ill just set our phone down and work or something while they play), but if this kind of thing really gets to you, this app might not be the best. Anyways, we really enjoy this game, and wish more people knew about it.
We love playing around and cooking at the cute and different dishes. We had played quite a while ago and then stopped for a year so we missed a BUNCH of festivals, but we contacted Pixio and they said they actually bring them BACK and just now we were on their insta and earlier this year they have brought back one of the older events. We LOVE THAT. We are a full time student who lives on their own and we are quite busy. Im glad this game doesnt penalize us for having a life. Super looking forward to the next event or event revival!!
We came across this game via a sponsored instagram post, and golly gee how could we resist checking it out?? After a second run in with a sponsored post, we went to the app store to install (and then proceeded to play for the next 63827832 hours and squeeze some time in between classes to play, lol) The first two means of cooking (20 sec and 7 minutes (i think, we have lots of upgrades, okay?)) would go by so quickly as Id do those card mini games, and every piece of dialogue, food, and animation melted our heart. The aesthetics of this game are perfect cute, simple, colorful, etc. The food, although small, packs a lot of flavor in just a little drawing. The variety of food and diversity is no joke, and theres so much room for more to be added, its amazing!! (Although, it is weird to see NPCs chow down on food art where the bowl is drawn and is subsequently eaten ((crunchy)) The dialogue is pure and wholesome, and sometimes we laugh at the little quips and certain vocabulary used (flop, specifically). However, we were disappointed when the opportunity to make egg puns was not taken we LOOOOVE having a dog!! The dog events are so cute, and when we were first introduced to events that had negative effects on you, we wasnt mad because it adds a bit of spiciness to gameplay!! This, along with the charity girl, are cool ways to balance gameplay that we didnt think about!! Plus, interacting with them(dog and grill scout) is so nice and healing to our stressed soul (Speaking of which, is it supposed to be grill scout? Or did we read it wrong? Anyways its funny lol) Also, the incorporation of watching advertisements to get small benefits is really nice!! We felt guilty not being able to support this game by buying gamepasses (Id have to ask our parents first for some reason even though im 18 and have our own card >>), so being able to watch ads (AND get green tickets) made us feel content knowing that Im supporting you guys by doing so!! (or at least, we hope thats how it works ><) Some things to suggest, while Im here!! -after food quizzes, itd be nice if we were able to tell what A) the picture+name of the correct food item was and B) the ingredients + origins of the item we chose that would indicate why we got it wrong. Perhaps this would crowd the UI, so maybe make it available via tapping on our wrong answer? Also, in the results screen, (specifically in earlier levels), it takes a while to realize that you eventually work your way up to food quizzes that have three questions and answers, so the empty space when you only answered one question can be confusing. -more hairstyles!! We know someone on instagram suggested it already, but it really would be nice -make it so that looking at your storage is akin to the menu where you choose your ingredients for cooking!! Or, have ingredients you have 0 of be greyed out and still have a place in the menu!! Getting used to the 3 rarities of each ingredient in a row to seeing only the ones you have in succession is a bit confusing owo;; -this isnt as possible of a suggestion, but having more than three spaces to cook would be great although, Im only rank 15 so we dont know if that changes but Still, its rough (but perhaps thats part of the fun/challenge!!) we think thats all!! We really adore this game and all the work that has been put into it, and we cant wait for what comes next!! In the mean time, Ill be on that easter event grind.
Such a calming and cute game. Its not too difficult but not that easy either! Graphics are adorable, too! Its perfect for when youre bored and need something simple to do.
This is the only game we think Ill enjoy for a pretty long time.

We absolutely love this game. It never gets boring and we are so addicted already. Im on level 14 and we’ve only been playing a few days. Its fun that you can actually learn about foreign dishes from it too! The artwork is so cute and we love how you can design your character. Suggestions: we think itd be really cute if you could have a room to go to and decorate with customizable furniture (bed, lamp, bookshelf, wallpaper, etc.). We think having different colors of skin would be more inclusive. Itd be fun to have more hairstyles too! Also, for a multiplayer option, if people could visit your room and chat, itd be really cool. You could have cooking competitions between you and a friend, or maybe team up for a different baking mini game thing. Love the app! Hope to see new updates! :)

This game is amazing and fun to play! If you want a simple game to play for a little bit, this game is perfect. Yes, when it comes to combining food and cooking it, it can take up to 20 seconds to 4 hours, but it really doesnt take up your time. Its like a back ground game, but you just have to check every once and a while. There are a few things we would like to change but besides that this game is cute and fun to play. A perfect 5/5 !!!
We saw that this game had like 4.9 stars in the review and thought, thats impossible. We decided to try it out, and now we see why! We loooooove this game! We’ve only played it for a little bit but its so adorable. Plus, we dont feel like we HAVE to pay money to play it. We 100% recommend it to anyone who reads this review!
We love the simplicity of the game and how it works, the only thing we request is that the buttons at the top had color to them. It brings down the look and feel of the game being all grayed out. Usually stuff thats unavailable is gray so it kind of gives the player mixed feelings. For example, we didnt think we could tap the event button at the bottom right cuz its just gray so we didnt bother looking at it. Its just a little confusing and takes some of the fun out of the appearance of the game.
This game is filled with content! We thought the mini-game to get the ingredients was really unique and gives you something productive and useful to do in game while youre waiting for dishes to be done. Theres more than one challenge, so theres a lot of goals to keep up with, making it really rewarding when you do make the right dish. The dogs were a really good touch, not only are they cute, but they also give you little upgrades! A really well rounded game that we will be continuing to play.

This game is pretty fun, theres always new things to try. Feels good to know you dont really need to spend money on this game if you just watch advertisements. We enjoy pretty much everything about this game. One thing we would change is the placement of the ? When taking a food quiz. Since it is on top of the recipe we would consider to choose, sometimes Ill misclick on the ? (Which tells you the name of the recipe) and itll choose that as our answer unwillingly.
This is one of the cutest cooking games we’ve played and it immediately held our attention when we downloaded it. The upgrades are realistic the wait times arent obnoxious and its just cute. The one problem is it keeps crashing!! Im not sure whats going on but it crashes at the title screen and after ads. It just gets stuck and theres no coming back from it. Otherwise its a great game albeit a lil buggy.
This game started off super fun and was adorable. The push notifications come in every 3 minutes and the ads break so we deleted it.
Way better then cafe world! Extremely obsessed. Found chests for it saved it as pdf nOw we know what recipe to cook without waiting for hours to revile it. Love it so much.
But Im kinda sad it sometimes takes long for fryer to be done but otherwise is AWESOME plz do more updates Id love to see more of this joy spread around.
This game turned out way more fun that we thought it would be, and the graphics are just so cute! Even though this game does have IAP and ads, anyone can play it entirely free (which we are doing). Nothing is "locked" behind a paywall. While some upgrades are only purchasable with gems (cash-currency), the upgrades are something you can go without, as they just decrease cooking-time or give additional experience. With patience, and we’re not talking patience of a saint or monk, anyone can get pretty far in this game. We find this game really relaxing and enjoyable, mainly because there isn’t any competitive aspect to it. We don’t feel like we’re missing out on anything if we don’t check the game every few minutes. Whenever we’re waiting in line at a restaurant or just bored at school, we fire up the game and start cooking! Yes, there are a bunch of ads, and you do need to watch them for currency, but we usually just leave our phone on for 30 seconds and that takes care of the ads. (There’s also a feature which doubles your ad rewards.) Overall, it’s a really fun and cute casual cooking game! We fully recommend it to those who are looking for a game which doesn’t require a lot of attention.

This game is really adorable and we love playing it.
We personally am not into games like this. But, it is well made, cute, fun, and we recommend it. Also, can we just take a moment to acknowledge chef raisin?! That name is killer and just gets us every time!! XD.
Adorable game but we probably spend at least a fourth of our time on this watching ads. Your dog makes you watch an ad – get special currency currency. You go play card games for food – watch an ad for more chances to get food. Considering how often you have to go play the card game to get food… You can be watching a LOT of ads. (You get 5 energy max to play the card game 5 times. If you dont find the food within 10 attempts you watch an ad for 5 more attempts. You can watch the same ad 5 TIMES within a few minutes…) It makes playing the background music pointless. And the ads are super repetitive with little variation for the other games its promoting.
They make the game less fun. Having only 3 cooking spots and then needing to have 2 ovens means we play the game just a once or twice a day for like 30 seconds. Sometimes we completely forget and dont even play for days! Doesnt make sense to have the dishes take 3+ hours and there isnt even an option to like watch an ad to make the time go faster.
We unlocked the clothing item in the fortune festival part of the game but we got to boys clothing version and we really wanted the girl, is there anyway to get the other?? Other than that this game is so cute and fun and we love The chef :D.
This is the cutest game! Its simple enough but still has a bit of challenge. The animation is adorable! Our one complaint is that the cutscene animations are a bit long and you cant skip any of them.
We must say this is a great game! It strangely reminds us of a very old game from a company, Playfish in Facebook called Restaurant City. It brings us great joy to be able to see an almost similar art style and writing ^__^ Anyways, its an awesome game to just sit with and pass time, great job guys!

This is such a charming game. Cute graphics, new things to do/try out pretty frequently as well. While cooking dishes does rely on chance with can be disappointing when the wrong result comes out, it usually counts to another goal. At the very least the time to cook isnt too long so its no sweat to just try again! There are plenty of opportunities to watch ads, but not so much that Im annoyed by it. The game is also super generous with in game currency, especially of the type you might have to purchase. While we certainly could see myself wanting to, we dont feel like we have to pay to win or even play the game unlike so many other phone games. We love the card matching to gain ingredients. While its tougher than the traditional matching, its far more fun, and is a nice mental challenge without being too hard. 10/10 would play again and again. Cannot recommend enough!

We really like this game. It popped up on our Instagram as an add haha. Its very simple and cute and we dont mind waiting out the later cooking times cause then we can cook a couple things while Im at work. Like everyone says you might feel like you need to watch a ton of adds, which is beneficial for certain things in the game however, its really not a requirement. We play the adds, set down our phone for 25 seconds and blam, ticket, gem or magic powder. The devs are also super generous on rewards during challenges and festivals. This is one of those play with patience games where the further you get you have explosive little moments of playtime and then its back to waiting for things to cook…. Which is totally fine. Love this game, recommend it for people who like this casual style of gameplay and the art and music is super cute. 5 stars baby.
We are in LOVE with this game! It is so cute and gives us something fun to do all the time! The only thing that is super hard is saving up for the cute cosmetics, but thats to be expected haha. It truly is a magnificent game and the developers did a lovely job!

We probably dont write reviews as often as we should, but this game is so much fun. Its a nice way to kill a little time, it has an adorable art style, and we never feel like we HAVE to watch ads or spend money. Its perfectly playable for free, you can just get some extra boosts that way. Yes, sometimes you have bad luck with the marketplace, but if you do really poorly, you can always watch an ad for more moves, or just give it another shot – the energy refresh is very reasonable, and buying ingredients directly isnt too expensive once youve leveled up a bit. The only problem is playing this game makes us hungry!
This is probably our favorite game we have on our phone! The biggest complaints we see from other users are 1) use of ads, 2) difficulty earning currency, 3) trouble acquiring ingredients. 1) we do find it annoying that most of the time the dog asks you to watch an ad. We also noticed that each time we open the game after its been completely closed for awhile, the dog has a video to show and the girl is asking for a donation in diamonds (the premium currency). The other times ads are frequently used is when you are playing the hidden ingredient mini game. If you run out of moves before youve uncovered all the ingredients then you are given the option to watch a short (15-30 second) ad to get 5 more moves. Once you fully uncover an ingredient for the first time though, the pattern is remembered (just click the ingredient icon) so we only need to use this feature about half the time. And we always get both (food) ingredients. A little bit of strategic thinking and you shouldnt feel trapped by these ads either, and should be able to easily uncover all ingredients. 2) When we first started playing yes we also had trouble earning currency and it wasnt realistic for us to buy any ingredients. But after progressing further and doing one of their events this has not been an issue. (Im sitting at 30k coins right now, saving up for the next tier of fridge upgrades) The more you make certain dishes the more you earn when you sell them. Also, its important to keep track of the decorations as these give additional coins when certain dishes are cooked (usually based on country of origin for the dish). Id recommend spending your money on these upgrades vs buying ingredients. If you are able to play during a seasonal event though, you will earn a ton of money very quickly so we also highly recommend that! 3) As mentioned in point 1 this hasnt really been a problem for us since the mini game is simple and refreshes quickly. Sometimes Ill run out of rare or epic ingredients, but because we saved our diamonds and purchased the gold level cooking appliances we always get 3 dishes per use so that goes a long way to making your ingredients last! Again, the seasonal events make it really really easy to earn enough diamonds (& coins) to be able to afford the gold appliances. We would not spend your diamonds on anything else until you have those! Outside of the seasonal events, earning diamonds is a slow and tedious process. And they are way too expensive to justify spending real money to purchase enough to afford all the gold appliances.
Sometimes the events call for food and tool combos that arent available. For example we have to use fruit on a grill, but when we pick fruit, the grill doesnt show up as a usable tool. What the heck. This happened in the last event too.
Edit: Bugs all fixed now, thank you! Everything is working as perfectly as usual, thank you for such a great game! We love this game, we’ve been playing for a few months now, but we dont know if there are a few bugs with the Autumn Festival or the Poultry, but our dishes keep disappearing. Ill put something in the oven (Poultry+????) and when we come back at any point to check on our dishes, its gone. And its eating up our ingredients as well, because it doesnt send them back to our inventory Other than that, no complaints, we love this game. Its cute and its a bonding experience between our daughter and I. We love it!
This is one of the best games we’ve played in the App Store. Its cleverly designed, the food quizzes are fun, and it makes us want to cook more in real life! We will be playing this one for a while!
