This game relaxes us, challenges us, can be used easily with no wi-fi, and hardly uses and battery juice.
Why do you use Muslim words in this game but not Sanskrit words in this popular world of yoga.
This is our go-to game when waiting in line or whenever Im looking for a relaxing way to spend a little time. No annoying ads or in-app promos, no up selling or packages to buy. If we cant solve the puzzle completely we can give in and get the answer for future reference. Some of the words have uncommon or multiple spellings but you can pick up on those easily after running into them a time or two. Overall, this game has been a favorite for years and we highly recommend it.

Ive been playing Whirly Word for years! Ive had it on our phone for a very long time. Its simple and straightforward, has no ads, and is consistently exactly what we want from a word game. Theres not a lot of frills to it? But we dont need any. We just want a nice, simple word game to play to help us sleep, and for that, Whirly Word is perfect.
We e been playing this as for several years now and we enjoy it because its easy to play, it keeps your mind active, increases your vocabulary and we like all the word combinations.
Finally, a word game without blasting primary colored cartoon characters, unwanted power ups/bonuses/stickers/points etc… A simple aesthetically pleasing format and word game truly about words and nothing more. Thank you.
We have had this app through multiple generations of iPhones and still play it regularly. We like that it has no trouble remembering where you left off. Our only complaint is frustration with a number of words it has omitted from its dictionary.

Found this app some time ago. Played the free app for a while, but the words repeated often. We finally got the paid version and we love it! We play on it off and on until we lose (Today) and then start a new game.pl.
This is the only game we play on our phone so we can play whenever we are stuck somewhere. Also keeps our 76 year old brain working. We love Whirly Word.

We purchased this game on June 12, 2010. Yesterday, December 5, 2022, we completed our 1,000th puzzlesame game without stopping first on an iPod Touch (remember them?) and then continuing on at least five different iPhones through those years. First, a big thank you to the developer for continuing to support this game for so long! You are a rare find. Second, we love to do one or two puzzles on this every now and then (obviously). We are so glad there is no timer or punishment for incorrect guesses. We have enough pressure in our life and dont need stress from our games! Third, we love the fact this works with no internet or cellular connection. Many games crash out when you cant get a signal! We have used this app deep in the woods and way up in the sky on an airplane over the past 12 years. It does not matter if that dreaded NO SIGNAL message appears; this game works like a charm. Fourth, thanks for having the dictionary so easily available. We feel like we continue to discover new words when we think no word can fit in alphabetically, but one does! We have taught high school English for years and continue to learn new words. Thanks again for what we would say is just about a perfect game. (we guess we sometimes wish we could add our own six-letter words, but no big deal.) THANK YOU.
The only thing that would make this game better would be to add current game statistics to the bottom of the records. It would be easier to see how much further you have to go before you make the top 5. GREAT GAME.

Ive had this game since it first launched on the App Store It never disappoints! Amazing range of words. Ive read some of the reviews that some words dont come up when spelled…its not that the game doesnt recognize the words, its what words were preselected for that particular game. Also, someone had mentioned the words are not of any language. NOT TRUE!! Try tapping the word that you couldnt figure out. The dictionary will explain the word. Clearly this is an ALL LANGUAGE word game. On top of that, add in medical language. We absolutely love it.
We used to play another game faithfully- but recently we have been horrified at some of the violent and inappropriate ads we saw while playing that game. It was counterproductive to the very reason we were playing the game! – Which is to relax and have fun! Whirly Word allows us to do just that. We love it and appreciate it SO MUCH.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up. We've had a lot of fun using the abridged word list so now we're rocking the tournament one. This is the only game that offers two word lists in the options and you end up with massive amounts of puzzles between the two of them. We're getting better at scrabble and actually beat our husband for the first time! He's a walking talking encyclopedia but lost gracefully. There are words in it from different religions such as Christian, Judaism, Budism, Islam, etc. If you are closed-minded, a bigot or a racist then you will be just as offended by this game as you must be by the common dictionary. But if you just want to have fun exploring words, than youll love this game.

Fun game, but questionable dictionary. Evidently kraal is an everyday word, but ska is not.
We would like to go to landscape so we are not holding our phone with our finger under the little speaker, however the new dictionary is great now we can see what the words mean whin we just throw letters together as a guess also maybe versions with 7 and 8 letters.
We enjoy this game immensely. The problem we have is normal words like Roy for King and many other proper words are not recognized. There are foreign words accepted but proper English not always found. If you are not worried about accuracy or perfection, then you will love this game.
