We cant imagine how difficult it must be to create an entire video game by yourself. We can see how much love and energy youve put into this project. Youve done an excellent job as always! We cant wait for the dragons in the next update!
Version 1.7 iPad mini 5. This is the third one. Loved Vandgels best. We love to explore and Roberts games let us do that. Love the house. Love the boat. Love to plant trees. Pick flowers. Live mushrooms! Are you kidding us?! Got lost in dungeons with so many different rooms. And they are all over the place. Got stuck in swim mode and keep swimming on the ground. No big deal for us. Restart and keep exploring. $3 is cheap for all that is in these games. Thanks Robert!
You had our money as soon as we saw we could play as animals. Humble request, please add more birds, like a raven and owl.
Im enjoying it Im just asking for a favor if you can add more animals that fly,run, and animals that swim and add npcs that would be amazing. We LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH we SPEND HOURS ON IT !
We have an iPhone 14 pro which is supposedly supported, however the game is incredibly glitchy, and crashes after a few minutes of play every time we try to play it. The music also does not work. We wish you could forage more than just flowers and if there was a crafting element to the game it would be amazing. We love the premise of the game which is why we gave it three stars, we just wish we could actually play it. We wish we could get our money back.
In our half, we must say a trashy game, we expected calm and simple controls, no weapons and just nature and animals around we were surely mistaken we ask you all to NOT spend 2.99 on it this should be free its so bad.
Sorry, graphics look wonderful but no info on how to move. We have an ipad. We try to touch where we want him to go and he just orients that way. We try to drag the character and it doesnt work. The suddenly he follows the finder. The problem is that our finger blocks the scenery so we cant see directly ahead. We stop touching the ipad and try again. Now we jus look and don’t move. Two fingers does nothing. What do we do if were not using a joystick. What special icon makes us just move? Frustrating. Needs SOME instruction somewhere on what to touch and how.
This game will crash, a lot. Change a graphics setting, fast travel, open a world, exist the game will crash. Sometimes opening a world that worked just fine before will suddenly not work anymore for literally no reason. We are running the game on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, so we dont think that the phone is the issue. The game is just horribly buggy. If the dev could make it not crash every 25 seconds that would be great.
Love this game a lot but it should have like some vehicles maybe a cart or better still a bicycle to move around and have much fun Common please update this game every time we try to edit our character it just black out and send us to our main screen.
We finally found the perfect game we’ve been looking for!!! Im so in love with your game and it helps us release stress pretty much!!! We think it would be fun if we can be able to do more things in the house such as lying on the bed, sitting on the eating table, or lying on the couch. :) How about lying on the grass, hunting, cooking, and eating? Update November 2022: This open-world sim for iPad is our favorite! The newly-added paths and roads feature lends to it a sense of exciting adventure, to see what beauty awaits ahead around the bend/over the hill. The developer has really put his heart into this one and is open to comments and suggestions. For those into aesthetics (me), the colors of the landscapes here are breathtaking! Wilderless is a place to go to relax and unwind and leave your worldly cares behind. If you are into dungeons and that sort of thing, its all herearmor, relics, etc. There is something for everyone in Wilderless and that adds to its appeal for all ages. Human avatars are customizable; or you can fly as a bird or wander around as a horse, deer, or many other creatures. Sound effects? Sure! Butterflies, bugs, fireflies, lanterns to light, flowers to pick. Build a home or meditate. Its all here in Wilderless. Plus, its getting better all the time! We highly recommend this one-of-a-kind open-world artistic sim.
Love it, the customization the devs gives u in terms of graphics is amazing! We can go for a lo fi ps1 type look or crank the graphics up with an incredible variety of options to fine tune the world to our liking, and then we could go and explore said world! We cant express enough how awesome this app is, thank you protopop! A map maker would be rly neat :)
This game takes our breath away. The customization is cool, and the exploration is fun. However, there are just a few things we have an issue with. One, sometimes when we teleport, we end up under the world. Two, it seems weird that the shrooms consider ice more water and just phase through it. Another thing we wish could be changed is the fact you can’t change your eye color. Other than those, it’s the perfect stress killer, it doesn’t drain our battery, and it’s full of magic.
Run around, have a nice time, take your own fireworks cruise. This scratches the same itch Breath of the Wild does, where you have no idea what youre doing and why, but its fun just to be present and explore. Whats over the next hill (or mountain)? Who knows! Thats the point.

We love the game, we love the animals, we love the nature and the customization. But I’d suggest adding more face customization. We’re thinking we should be able to change eye shape, eye color, head shape, and other things on the head separately. I’d also want more colors for outfits, since the 4 presets don’t seem to fill our adventurous mind. Also, it’d be nice if the animals could jump and the bird could land/walk. Please consider!~
When we first downloaded this game, our impression of it was amazing. Smooth and very diverse graphics, lots of open space and some neat customization. We wish there was a little more to do however, because it would make us a little more invested in the game. Please keep developing this game further because it will definitely attract more players over time!
Could you please remodel the wolf and give it emotes? We love wolves very much and this game would be amazing with a better wolf model.
We cant believe we spent money on this. The game wont even load. Immediately it starts, it lags and exits out of the app. Just horrible!
Im not a gamer but we watched a video review and this game seemed fantastic. We downloaded, the controls were intuitive but the quality settings were not. We played for a half hour and loved it. We stopped, sent a few texts, reopened app, and it appeared to restart and re create world. We were sad the world we were exploring seemed to have been lost, but it doesnt matter because every time we open the app (on our year old iPhone) it crashes during creating world. Three dollars in very reasonable, but we had a feeling Id regret it. We do.
A year ago we gave Wilderless 3/5 stars, however now its a solid 5/5. The developer has obviously put a lot of hard work into the game. Its very visually stunning, relaxing music and gameplay. Lots of customization options and a fun world to explore. We cant wait to see what future updates bring. Thank you for updating the game and fixing many of the past issues.
We have not yet explored all the possible worlds. Just exploring was quieting and interesting. Now, with ruins and dungeons and strange little mushrooms, the pleasure of exploration has increased ten-fold. The dungeon puzzles are difficult, and some are tricky. This will keep us going until the empire comes. Thank you.
We came to know your beautiful works through performance benchmarks of mobile devices via Bright Ridge. Paid $3 for Wilderness and its worth the money. A slight issue we’ve had is the raining situation when the character is under water. Raining outside seems to have stopped once the character is fully under water and only starts once again once the character pops up. A bit inconsistent there. Maybe a its processing power thing? Oh, and, it can be really great if you enable Apple Silicon Mac support and add high refresh rate support for your games. Can be a great time killer from work and one can finally crank all the settings up to enjoy your beautiful work on news Macs with more GPU cores, say, an M1 Max MBP with that beautiful 120Hz panel. Nevertheless, great job Robert for a solo work!
We’ve only played this game for a few minutes but Im already amazed and delighted by it! Its very zen and fills you with a sense of wonder and joy as you explore. We hope the developer adds some npcs to interact with and some kind of story, but even as it is now its a great refreshing break from the hack and slash games. And keep all the worlds!
But it seriously needs controller support. Please add it and we will upgrade this to a 5 star.

We work for a company that has iOS apps, not games mind you, but we know what goes into developing to an extent and its not easy. We have been a fan of this developer for years now. Its the most beautiful content we’ve ever seen. How someone has not grabbed him up has to be his choice. We will buy anything he publishes just to support in anyway we can. We cant wait to show our grandson this one because we think he will love it! IMO this is the best developer in the App Store. The detail in these apps is just incredible. This is a one man shop and it still amazes us years later. Thank you for such beautiful apps. To the developer if you adde in app purchases we would fully support it.
Love this game. We think this has so much to offer. Suggestions: Add stars and meteors to the night sky. More fun would be an Aurora. Add simple gathering abilities. We did not see fish while swimming under water nor other birds while flying. Add wildlife to explore. Add forgeable foods like fruits, nuts, berries, mushrooms and plants. Include fish as a transformable option. We’ve been looking for a game that is based on basic survival. This game is very close. To explore and find a suitable environment to enjoy is so much fun. Create a comping/basic survival scenario, this game will become highly popular very quickly. Thank you for this game. We look forward to seeing it evolve.

This is great! Wow! Love the game! The graphics are beautiful! This is a beautiful game. We finally got what we expected! After the update the game kept crashing though, and it was annoying. Also whenever we take a picture it can also crash. Even when Im just flying around and hit the picture button. Now it seems better but its annoying when that happens. The mushrooms. If you build a house and then leave your person there and go running around as a horse or something, later you can find a mushroom and follow it back. But maybe they can lead you to some secret places too. That would be cool. Like a cottage or pond or something like that. Maybe like a place where its like all like glowing with mushrooms and stuff. And well. We dont know if this is necessary but it would be cool if you could shape change into a dragon. And there could be a white and green and red dragon. We dont know. Also so the dragon could walk on land and fly. Otherwise the game is awesome. Keep up the fabulous work!

10 stars for Wilderless! This realistic, open-world sim is exactly the type of app we would create if we knew coding. Robert here did it! He is open to suggestions and provides excellent customer service. This beautiful world is so relaxing to wander our avatar around in. There’s a wide range destination choices in each "world"; consisting of snowy mountainous regions, open meadows, hilly terrains, meadows, lakes, vast seas, and much, much more. Absolutely stunning! You can choose your avatar, customize it a bit; plus add a tent, house, go rowing in a boat, etc. He has much more in store, too. If you love beautiful and relaxing apps, get this one!
We just got the game and Im honestly amazed all of the worlds we’ve tired are so thought out and unique in there own way. Its so refreshing to not have to stress about tasks or anything and just enjoy the world the way we want the only problem we’ve been having is a small bug. Whenever we try to load up one of our memories or have been playing for a minute it crashes, which is kind of disappointing because we would love to play this game for hours on end. But nobodys perfect and we know it will probably be fixed in an update so Im not too worried. Still amazing to play and we dont think Ill ever delete it. Also a serious help with our anxiety. It calms us down.

Its a fun game that takes up less than a gigabyte its very relaxing and fun we enjoy playing game especially when on trips it helps pass the time!
We liked this game a lot because our favorite kind of game is open world. We would really like it if there were animals roaming around the world other than fish, shrooms, butterflies and birds. It would also be cool if you could shape change into a fish and more animal options. Anyway we really like this game but would just like to see more animals in it!
Every time we try to go in a world, it takes us out of the app. Very unhappy but the quality was nice.

We love love love this game. So worth the price. We just wish the character customization was a bit better with choosing clothes and accessories. Also we wish we could despawn animals because when you transform the animals you were previously are gone. Also we wish you could like make food and make soup and meat plates and bowls and we sort of wish that we could have an animal companion. Or have a backpack with a bunch of roleplay tools like weapons, tools, food, vehicles (carriages, boats, etc) and other stuff. That would be so cool! We know its very hard to develop a game like this. The graphics are so beautiful and the music just puts icing on the cake. This is our new favorite game!!

We like this game a lot, but it needs a bit of work. For example, it always crashes. Immediately we open it or when we want to fast travel to another place, it takes us out of the game to our Home Screen. We also have some suggestions to make. – Can you make the other animals have a jump button(only the human has it) – Can you give us more housing options? – Can we interact with the furnitures in the house? – Can we have a pet like a cat or dog(the mushrooms kinds creep us out) This game also gets boring really fast. All we can do is run about until it starts lagging again.
We really like the premise of this game – absolutely stress free exploration. The customization of not just the character but the landscape is very satisfying. We think with a few tweaks its a game we could play for hours, but as is we get bored within a few minutes. Here are the issues we found with the gameplay: – There is nothing to explore except a very large landscape of trees, grass, hills, etc. For such a lush world, it feels very empty. Like a planet that never developed mitochondria. It would be interesting if there were periodic beautiful surprises and landscape variation like monuments, towns, ruins, animals, or simple mini games (even something chill like a person sitting in a field with a chess board that the char could discover). – You cant interact with the landscape in any way. You cant move things (other than making small ripples in water), change things, hold things – you have no impact whatsoever. That feels very dull and static. And unrealistic, like you are on a different plane and can only see but not touch the world. – we havent found a help page of any kind. We have no idea what the mushrooms are for, how to meditate, whats up with the bubble emojis, what the huge crystal things are, or why some worlds get starred. – we still cant tell the difference between any of the 999 worlds. They all seem exactly the same. Just a lot of trees, hills, grass, flowers, and dirt. Add in some animal life and surprises or complex unique landscapes like towns, put in a few people to talk to, allow the player character to gather something (anything), or add in some simple mini games like cards, 9 Mens Morris, Mancala, or chess, and we are all in. This game could really take off.
We just bought the game and every time we load it to play it cancels and goes back to our home screen.
