This games had a lot of issues, but is very fun in total and we really like that you can learn the words. The issues are sometime our game just freezes and we cant play anymore.
We play this game a lot and paid to upgrade. Recently, a floating light bulb will pop up right when you hit the rotate-letters icon and youre trapped into watching a bunch of ads. Its extremely irritating. Also, have been seeing a lot of repeat words and whole games even. It would be nice to have new words added. Thanks.
Our husband and we enjoyed playing the game every morning (staying on the same level) so we purchased the ad free upgrade. This was pretty good until lately when a recent update has started a flyover ad. While youre trying to work on the puzzle it starts going across your screen and is too distracting to continue enjoying the game. Im holding on to hope they will remove this aggravating ad ploy at least for paid version. Its totally worth the paid app upgrade other than this one annoyance. We will update this review if anything changes.
Why does it give you notifications that say try this word on a puzzle that doesnt have the letters to do the word.
In other words you make several words that simply dont count. Ive worked puzzles that had at least eight words that were not part of their version. Very frustrating, eventually deleted the app.
We are 75 and we have been playing Woody Cross for a few weeks and have solved approx. 232 puzzles. We love learning and a challenge like the Woody Cross app keeps us alert and entertained. We play as soon as we get up in the morning with our coffee when we are groggy and it makes us think which helps us wake up faster. The ads are brief and we have downloaded some of the games. Thanks to the developers For providing a game that is free and stimulating.
This is a great game! It is very relaxing for us! It helps us when we cant sleep! Great.
We saw an ad while playing a different game. We downloaded it because it looked fun. This isnt the game we saw in the ad even tho its the same name game. Gave it a 4 because why not it seems to be a decent game.
You pay to not get adverts and in order to get points you have to sit through countless adverts. AVOID. We have paid for no adverts. To earn coins you have to watch the adverts for other games to get coins. There is no option to opt out. We have deleted the game because you falsely advertise.
We have played many different types of word games, and this is the best one by far! We use word games for therapeutic purposes as we have had a couple of strokes. We use the games to help keep our brain as sharp and functional as possible due to the constant decline of our brain function. Thank you so very much for your efforts, developers.
We had enjoyed playing this game; Ive played over 600 levels. The only annoyance is a feature called, Whack-A-Mole. However, the developer gave a quick response & Ive been assured this is a limited time feature.

We had enjoyed playing this game; Ive played over 600 levels. But, they added a truly annoying feature called, Whack-A-Mole. Its completely distracting & ruins the game. There appears to be no way to turn it off & the contact us feature doesnt really contact anyone or address this issue. Im very annoyed that we paid to remove ads since we no longer enjoy the game. Disappointing.
Too soon to write an honest review.
We really love this game, as a previous reviewer said, it is an honest game. You can watch ads to get free coins as well as purchase same. The puzzles are challenging even at the earlier level, where we are now. We are trying to build our coins up for the more difficult levels for which we are sure we will need them. There is one thing we noticed, though, that you need to fix, and that is on the leaderboard when you go to input your player name, no matter what name we use, the response comes up use an appropriate name. At first we thought it was just us until we looked down and saw almost every single player with just a generic player, name and number. It would be nice if you could fix this so that we could actually have names attached to the leader board. (Now we cant even get back into the name slot.) Again, thanks for developing such a terrific game. RedDawn.
Just love the simplicity of this game.
We were a little disappointed that the game was not like the advertisement. On the advertisement the game asks you questions and then you have to decide which word is spelled correctly. The actual game doesnt. It is just like every other word game.
Game keeps freezing up. No fun if you can't play.
Ive enjoyed the game itself. However, theres an ad that took over 5 minutes and constant attempts, to remove. As we hit the X it kept bringing the same ad up. Very frustrating.
We like how they introduce you to the game, but why all the bad ways. Like for instance: they had a sentence and you would find the word on top, that word would go into the puzzle. Its the same kind of game we usually play. We want something different.

Love this game. Interesting, challenging, not boring. Im very pleased. It clean – as in not pop ups all over and swirls and etc like a LOT of other games. Different competitions and challenges. We have zero complaints or suggestions and that is highly unusual ! GREAT job.

Loved the game and the gameplay with others however, we gave it 4* because the highest level of play only goes up to 6992 with no direct date of future upgrade. So we can only play the daily version.
This game was awesome with minimal adds. It was our favorite until they started using fake scores on their 4 day tournament. The game opens with a ridiculous lead score which is almost impossible to be real. If not for this , we would have given it five stars. Such a shame for what was a wonderful game.
Great game, but last two days when ads pop up, one particular ad tries to hack our phone saying we have to install their VPN app to continue playing. Throws us to us to our browser page. Cmon guys! We know Im not the only one experiencing this.
Just started today to not work. Woody Cross corrupted again today. Was around level 1600. Since this is second time, we think Ill give up, much as we really like the App starting at level 1 for third time isnt appetizing. If there was a way to specify the starting level at re-install time, that would make things tolerable. Not sure if the new App release today updated our device and corrupted itself.
The game is shown with getting clues, but when you open the app its like all the rest. No clues whatsoever. If your going to push your game, be honest as to how its played.

This is a perfect game to pass time. It definitely helps to unwind and clear your mind. There are some ads but not an ignorant amount.
As soon as you can save up some credit so that you dont have to watch videos every 3 seconds – then it will crash so that you lose all your saved up credits and re-load the game to start from scratch.
Ive been playing this game for about a year now and love it, however, weird things have been happening while playing. Our phone will randomly start beeping like a weather alert aa well as the same ad will open in our chrome browser. Its very frustrating and deterring us away from playing.
We loved the game, didnt mind the ads. We are number one in the current game but will have to delete, because our screen freezes over and over. It takes all the joy out of the game. It freezes when trying to make a word, it freezes during the ads, and other times it randomly freezes. Its too cold for us. Im out.

We inquired as to how we could go about changing teams as the one we are on, we are the only one taking the game, seriously, and the team we are on now has no chance of placing let alone winning. We received a response from the developer telling us to check with the apps support team to see if we could change teams for a more competitive experience. How do not know how to do this. We didnt realize just how much we enjoyed playing this game until March 17th, when it stopped loading. And when the update released on March 24th (?) didnt fix the issue we were extremely disappointed. But today it started loading again. Thank you for fixing it! We love this game.
Love the game but having some issues with it freezing up.
We haven't been able to play for over a week because it won't load. When it's working, this game is so much better than Wordscapes. The screen is simple and not busy, so much more relaxing to play. It keeps us from getting impatient in grocery lines.
