We really love this game! Play it a lot. No annoying ads to waste your time with.
When you’re only interested in passing the time without a flood of intrusive ads or paying a monthly fee just for offline play, it’s difficult to find an app like this one that has a one time fee to get rid of the ads.
Much better than Boggle, which is ruined by a bunch of junk you are supposed to buy. This is the real deal.
This is again and again it calms our mind it gives some breathing room to think Thank you for our awesome game This game has seen us through some very rough times in our life it aided us and having some quiet time and for our mind to focus on something that would relax us our husband was sick for a very long time and through the nights this was our game it has five stars every time.
Our fianc and we love word games. First used the lite version of this… Until Multiplayer stopped working. Then bought the real thing and multiplayer worked for a while then stopped. It connects and everything… But the game just wont quite start. Highly infuriating. Other than that – this is great fun!
Nice simple boggle clone without awful ads like the Zynga official version. Our only complaint is the dictionary either has too many non words (like cest or sean) or you can choose a smaller dictionary lacking basic words like feet.
We have been playing this game for years. You developers need to change up the letter boards. Im so used to the games that we have had to play the same games over and over. Its about time you came out with not a new game, but one where the letters are different! All you would have to do is change a few letters for each of the different games to make the whole game brand new. We get tired of playing with the same letters over and over, so that the games start to bore us. For those of us who play often, you can tell when youve played the game before. You have a great game, you just need to update the letters on various games to refresh it!!!
Bought game, dont know how to get our scores to show on leader boards.
Game Center is probably the worst apple product ever and relying on it was a big mistake. Now we cant play with friends anymore.
After giving this 5 stars, we have to complain about a couple of things. First, a sound effect for words 100 points and over appeared suddenly, then disappeared just as quickly. No explanation from the provider. Then the game was keeping track of consecutive days played, which we had around 300 or better. Now, that has gone into the black hole of app fails. Since we get nothing for the consecutive game days, why complain. It made it more fun, but Ill just do something more constructive that this from now on. Too badthose features made the game more interesting, and now it has lost much of its appeal.
Its not the best game but needed more then 30 plus minutes.
We paid for the ad free version and we still get ads after each game we play. This is not only annoying but we paid for something that we are not getting. Wow.
This would be a great game if one were competing against real humans instead of their computers. As it is, the best any individual could hope for is probably a rating of higher than 1000 because too many people are using computerized programs to come up with words that would take close to a minute to Mark and yet our one of 50 or 150 words that they submit in a limited timeframe.
Too often the games wont load, they just say loading, forever, like days. This is the biggest issue with this paid game. Im on day 3 of not being able to play since its stuck again. Email to developer is till being ignored.
We find this a great game. We are addicted… We also bought the extra theme. How fun!!!!!
We continue to have problems with this app! While trying to form words the definitions keep popping up and interfering so that you are unable to form your words. We’ve had this app for years and have never had this problem before. We’ve reported it to customer service several times with absolutely no response or reply. Sorry to see this going downhill!
We love playing the tourney but we have noticed recently that there are people winning top score and top word with letters that are not in our board. For example, we just played 3 minute 4×4 game and the top two people had three times our score, with words like questioned and quantities. We had no Q in our letters – plus, being able to come up with both of those words in a 4×4? We dont think so! How is it a competition if we are working off different sets of letters? We contacted the game admins and was told that maybe those other people have not updated their game. That makes no sense. Ours updates automatically and the last update was three months ago. Keep it fair, or stop pretending it is a competition. With different letters, the scores cant be compared.
50% of the time the board will not accept a word that is clearly correct. We have 2 games downloaded and it happens on both. How can we fix it?
We love playing against people but when the top winner can get unbelievably high scores using letters NOT ON THE BOARD!!!! It is not as fun. Please make it fair and have everyone playing the same board. We are not sure how someone can get 64 words in one minute with the largest word being 10 letters from a 4×4 board!!!

Love this game, we had it buy it ad free. Two options I’d love to see. The ability to view it in portrait mode on our iPad like we can on our phone. We hate using landscape mode. We would also like the option to turn off the use of 3 letter words for a better challenge. Great game otherwise.
The options for playing are great and the dictionary is very comprehensive. Challenging and fun!
We have learned so many new words.
Please add a Word Length setting to the New Game dialog in addition to the current Board Size and Time Limit options so users can choose to play with 4+ letter words instead of 3+.
We would like the option to omit 3-letter words.
We have played different versions of word shaker. They need to take the best features and make one really good one. We play for myself. Three letter words are a nuisance. The version that is red has a minimum word option. However, the red version does not have a shake button. Try shaking a 10" iPad. The red version also shows the rank of your score to previous ones. The blue version should too. Also, DOH get’s to be very tiresome. Attempts at Humor rarely work when repeated over and over. By the way, you don’t build vocabulary if you don’t know what the words mean.
Can only play solo after purchasing this game- want our money back! The tourney, multiplayer options have consistently given us error messages about "gamecenter required". Yeah we know; we have it. Why it won’t connect is beyond us. It doesn’t allow us to click on gamecenter either. Don’t buy this- buggy.
This was a really fun game until the latest update. Now our game drops in the middle of tourney play!!! Almost impossible to invite friend because connection takes so long–it used to be very easy. Solo games drop too.
It’s a good challenge to have the timed games. We see no reason to nit pick. It’s fun and we bought the full version!
The paid version is so much better than the free version. The app doesn’t freeze up anymore and it’s well worth $3 to remove that aggravation. We’re glad we took the chance.
We used the free app for several years until the adds became unbearably intrusive and loud. The minimal cost to do away with those awful ads is well worth the money since we use this app often. Like other reviewers, we notice words that are arcane and peculiar to the British Isles. So what? It still offers hours of fun and an opportunity to learn while enjoying myself. We wish there were a way to eliminate 3-letter words (there used to be) from the total word count, but that’s a small quibble for a great game.
… I’d love to be able to get hints for remaining (unfound) words & pay for them as well. We may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but we’re not the dullest either… On any given puzzle (with the largest number of letters) we are always hundreds of words short of the total!! ^~^
We’re enjoying the game, though not as much as we would if it had a better dictionary. The one it uses contains too many words not in anyone’s vocabulary, even the most erudite professor of historical linguistics. At the same time, it leaves out real words that, while obscure, are still in use. So the game rewards memorizing lists of non-words rather than developing a better vocabulary. Other than that, it’s fine.
Been playing for about a year. We had the game with ads and finally bought this one cuz we get sick of ads and it’s really not all that expensive. We like all the options they have for time limits or untimed. Actually we like pretty much everything about this game…. But…. Isn’t there always: Some words don’t show up as words, some do that we can’t believe are. Not that many though. If you like to play the untimed games cuz you just want it for relaxing, then the more you play the harder it is, which wouldn’t be a problem if they would swap them up. After awhile you’ll be doing good to get 65% (more recently 60%), of the words where we were getting over 80-90%. We’re afraid if we keep playing, pretty soon it won’t be as much fun simply because the words are way to hard to make… We mean maybe if they "were" words we’ve heard even once in our life.. Overall, for the price you can’t beat it. We’ve written this long review for those of you, who, like us, really like these kind of games, to give you a heads up…
We like this version-several play options. Definitely recommend if you like word games!
Fun game. Love the statistics at the end of each game, you can see the hundreds of words you missed. We even think it is helping our spelling.
Slick interface, very responsive board UI. The EA Boggle/Scramble With Friends replacement we’ve been looking for!
The only thing good about the game in our opinion so far is "cheaters" seem to be nonexistent! Unlike the free word seeker games….. We and you can wish that management would update games played offline sooner, however its obvious this will never happen!!! Then its the crummy letters you get, while playing single games, so you can practice for head to head games with other online players. About "CHEATERS" they’re definitely playing, because the scores are way to high. Then the words allowed are mostly, medical & other scientific terms.
The game is fun and we like the variety of board sizes. However, connecting the letters does not always occur very smoothly. The other issue is that the vocabulary of words still needs improvement – we have connected letters that we know are words (common, not-necessarily sophisticated words) that the program does not credit with a score. Otherwise, it’s a fun game to play!
Played a few days and deleted it. Not worth the cost either.
The game use to rank you but all of a sudden, it stopped doing that. We have contacted the developer but we didn’t hear back. We even bought the app thinking it was that. It still doesn’t work. Please fix this problem!!!
We play in solo mode and its really addicting. But sometimes we question the ranking it assigns you.
We are addicted to this game. It pits us against our last game which is the type of competition we like.
