As a 2-person implementation of codenames, this is enjoyable and challenging. But it has issues. One is, we installed it on an iPad, then moved to iPhone, but it wouldnt let us connect to our existing account. Another is that it generally doesnt alert on new moves, even though thats enabled and we get alerts simply urging us to play. Finally, the instructions were visible when we started but arent accessible in the app, that we can find.

We love the game and have bought the no ad option. However, we now have a new phone and we see no option to restore purchase. App starts with pop up to make a new username. Would give it a five star otherwise.

Which isnt surprising for a blatant rip off of codenames duet. You see an ad every 1-3 turns you take. Which if that wasnt bad enough you have to click the X twice to get rid of it.

We like this app and even used it for a week. But we noticed twice that upon opening it it copied our clipboard contents – in both cases it was sensitive info. Why is this needed? Is this because of the ad library you use? Ill reinstall after you fix this.

This has the potential to be an awesome game but it totally flops as a game to be played with another person on the net. We tried two different times to play a game. We played minutes went by and no response. More minutes went by and no response. Dont waste our time. This game should be redone so you can play against the computer or another player in our house.

Was sitting right next to the person we were playing and it just constantly said it was the other persons turn. Ads worked though. Great.

Not many words. Disgusting amount of ads.

Its a fun game (Codenames) but a thirty second ad after every move is too much. We understand they need to generate revenue, but its quickly losing its appeal.

Its codenames basically. But its buggy and you have to watch an ad after EVERY move or pay $10, Which is kinda high, especially for a game they just ripped off from someone else. Its also buggy, we played a game where us and a friend won with 4 turns left but it kept saying we had to give hints, then the game just disappeared.

This game is great and actually takes a little brain power which is a refreshing change from mind numbing candy crush clones. Sit, think, exercise your noggin and try and make up/force connections between things youd normally never place together. Hehe helps us keep in touch with our aunt, too, which is a big bonus! Thanks for a great game.

Great idea and well done. Fun back and forth team challenge.

Just like codenames this was very fun, challenging enough but not impossible or ridiculous. Looks a little old school but works perfectly well, Only downside is lacking players and sometimes buggy: our hint somehow became our partners hint…

There arent enough words in the game…. To describe how frustrating this poor mans version of Codenames Duet can be. With 100 words, seeing 24 per game ensures you will be making the same connections over and over. More words are available through in game currency you can spend real money on or spend weeks earning, and the one good thing about this app is that only one player needs the expansions, but they are not worth the time and money. Why? When Codenames was first announced, lots of people tried to make their own decks or online games and most of them aren’t as fun because people like these developers don’t understand what makes the game work. Words need to be carefully curated and only words with multiple meanings or multiple connections should be in the game. The fun is in stretching your vocabulary and imagination. You can use people or places as words, but only if you have enough variation to prevent Males,4 from clearing half the board in half the games. This is even more exasperating in the expansions as 10 of the 25 cards will be synonyms. And too many of the cards can all trigger to one word. Other than a 24 card grid instead of 25 and terrible word selection, theres also a major rules change allowing infinite guesses if you keep guessing correctly instead of +1. Its not that big of a deal but a pointless change. Edit: apparently, this is in the rules for codenames duet but not the original codenames. Still would make the game much easier if the playerbase knew how to use it. There is nothing prevented people from typing whole sentences as clues unless you self-enforce. We get that inputting a game dictionary is work, but if you are trying to sell a product, put in some work instead of making a 2nd rate copycat because the official game app is taking forever. The final problem is there doesn’t seem to be any difficulty scale and no reward for finishing in less clues, so after one or two decent clues players revert to giving lame 1 word clues. Super flawed version of a great game. In a few months when more people have more expansions it might be better but hopefully by then we can play the official Codenames app and pay the actual designer. Edit: the lack of post game chat is also a problem. The fun of Codenames is arguing with your friends about who screwed up. Although with the high amount of trolls, cheaters, and bad players chat would probably be a toxic cesspool.

This is a fun and challenging game to play with friends. We like the theme and humor.

Really enjoying this game! It’s super fun, engaging, and fresh. It reminds us of Codenames, but it’s better! Love the great card decks and that we can have different games with friends. Feel like we’re keeping our mind active and bonding with friends at the same time. Love it!

Its fun and a great way to waste time!

We play this game all the time now when im bored and have extra spare time, its more fun than we thought it would be. It seems like its going to be the next scrabble type game and im proud im one of the few to play it first.
