Customize a character using a variety of professions, backgrounds, special challenges, and skills to survive in a brutal and chaotic city as the Zeta virus spreads. Will you be an honorable soldier, searching through neighborhoods to aid survivors? Or will you be a ruthless bandit who loots and robs others for needed supplies? How about a paranoid hacker, psychopathic con artist, pragmatic scientist, or idealistic teenager? Dozens of options allow you to play the character of your choice.
Set in the "Zombie Exodus" world, the first part of "Safe Haven" focuses on the first few days of a viral outbreak which changes the infected into mindless zombies. Explore the changes to society at the start of the pandemic. Board your house, gather supplies, meet over a dozen other characters, and survive encounters with the living dead and even other survivors. Scavenge numerous locations, craft items, and use a variety of skills to survive the many challenges of the apocalypse.
With three brand new chapters and another 310,000 words, "Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven" is now more than than 900,000 in total! That's more than 72,000 each time you play. Given the number of paths from beginning to end, you can have a unique story every time and still never see all there is in "Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven!"

• Nineteen backgrounds/professions including Soldier, Teenager, Professional Wrestler, Bank Robber, and Doctor. Or create your own custom class.
• Choose your skill levels in eighteen different apocalyptic skills such as Stealth, Ranged Weapons, Scavenging, and Survival. Level up your skills after each chapter and choose from hobbies to round out your character.
• Select optional challenges for your survivor. Take care of a dependent child or a pet, or deal with a phobia, compulsion, addiction, or affliction.
• Meet other survivors each with their own personalities, motivations, desires, and flaws. Even form romantic relationships with those you meet.
• Enjoy 15 optional character portraits, drawn by various artists.

Im a bit biased here but we love this game. We got all three parts and it was so worth it. The locations, the characters, thr depth and freedom of choice and the story, just make us want more like Im a junky. If you like text adventures, zombie apocalypses and feeling like your decisions in game matter. Then get this game.
ZE and ZE:SH have been our absolute favorite story games ever. Theres always something new to discover because of all the choices you have. We think its very well written and we highly recommend it to anyone who likes reading and a choose their own adventure kind of game. Also, Mr Developer, Im not sure if this is a bug/glitch or intentional due to the profession, but during our last gameplay we had chosen the hacker profession and she had literally everything in her inventory? All guns, all ammo, all consumables etc.. In our current gameplay we only have what we find. We also never officially met Woody? You have a whole scene where he comes to your home, but that never happened, he just appeared on our couch.. Haha.

We played the game numerous of times, its really good. Dont get us wrong, but the characters are just having some sort of evil inner person or manipulative, etc. Like Madison just develops into a cold-blooded killer, and Gina just shoots her own friend George because of her husband and decided to join a group for possibly a evil plan. And Rachel does not seem to have any character development after part 2, like she still seems shes hiding more of herself sort of, and Jillian is just a terrible survivor. We think the game that will continue in part 4 will be the groups down fall, and the main character only survives. Like the walking dead season 2, and on part 1. Where everybody is out for each others throats for no reason, and acting on stupidity. To be honest, Im not sure if the game is just all about teamwork. Or just to show something else, before we thought it was really good. But nowits off because of how everyone acted on part 2 and 3.
We cant believe how real this story is, we really feel like Im part of the story. Ive been reading for 3 hours and that in itself is a miracle! Im high anxiety, ADD, and our attention span is like zero. So for us to sit still for 3 hours is a miracle. Our husband just came in to check on us because we havent quite this long since he married us 36 years ago, lol. We absolutely recommend this story game, you feel like youre the one going through the zombie apocalypse.
A fun game to spend time on. Do wish the author would drop another chapter soon though. Id gladly drop some money for it.
This game is really good but we wish you could of put music in the background so we dont need to listen to the quietness lol but we really hope you make this game more longer so we could build a big base like a compound but thats all we have to say and again this game is really good hands down.
Is a great story but Im still waiting for part 4.
Seriously a pay wall but the story is so investing and we want to continue but we dont have a bank account yet! Soon though we will get one and be able to get past the pay wall.
Its dumb we have too buy for part 2 we feel like thats not even fun the start was fun our friend died when we tried too get him out the party then after that remember the first part is free and buy 8.00 for the others thats so dumb.
We rarely write reviews nor do we ever buy phone games, but this by far has been the best one. If you like narrative driven games and zombies this is right for you. If youre cheap like us keep in mind this has a lot of replayability its worth the price.
We LOVE this game so much! We think its one of the best games you guys ever made and if possible we were wondering if you guys are gonna add more to the safe Heaven franchise? And maybe make it longer! WAY LONGER! With more choices and realism! We just honestly love CYOA games and zombies so this works REALLY well for us! We hope you guys make more zombie ones in the future.

Just wanted to say, its been years since most people have wrote a review we played this back in 2016 when we were still in Highschool. Loved the first Zombie Exodus and became hooked, when this one came out we ghosted everyone for a week before we got our good ending, or as good an ending as you can get. Still looking forward to the next part(s) and we know others are aswell. Keep up the great work and dont quit! We need to live out our Zombie killing Fantasy please.
The story is AMAZING, everything in this game is amazing, the thing is that it costs 8$ a Chapter, we get it that your trying to make money, but Maybe lower the prices, but overall; Its a very good game.
The demo was very small but we were hooked and decided to buy the game, except it wasnt the game it was only part 1. Every part costs $8, which is a lot for a mobile game and even more than an episode of telltales walking dead. People dont normally get mobile games with the expectation to need to spend $24 to play it to the end.
We love the game and how it lines up with how you develop your character and such and we love the idea of morals, desire, or whatever but paying for the story Ill be honest we do not like because its bad enough we barely have enough money to buy for food at the store but overall we applaud and appreciate your game.

We love trying to save everyone in this game, like a text-based Suikoden. Its kind of complicated in terms of stats and choices compared to other text games, and thats what we love about it. The only thing we dont like is that it takes forever before the writer finishes a chapterI think this is just a hobby for him. We were so excited when the last chapter came out, and it didnt disappoint. Its been so long since the last chapter that Im afraid Ill have forgotten the story before it has an ending.
Its a really good game but we hate how we have to pay just to read a chapter or chapters to continue. Idk either to buy the whole game or just stick to the interactive walking dead games.
Make a few episodes free then we can really experience it and probably will wanna pay for it.
We absolutely LOVE this game. Ive been playing it since it first came out. It has been worth the wait times. You can just tell how much passion and care was put into this project by how immersive and extensive it is. We can literally sit and play this game for hours. There really is no other game quite like it out there. Jim Dattilo is brilliant.

Holy Jesus, this game is just something else in the best way possible. It feels like a hyper-stylized DnD campaign with lots of choices and outcomes to any situation. However, there are a fair bit of bugs. Lets start with the positives Positives: The story is super immersive and well-written, the characters are really solid, (Even the most dull characters have some personality,) there are multiple groups you can ally with or go to war with, and the way things play out are mostly up to youwith a few notable exceptions. Speaking of which Negatives: The scripted deaths harm replayability. No spoilers, but some characters you cant save no matter what and its really annoying. There are a fair share of bugs, but theyre all in the text. We.E, a dead character dancing with a living character. Suggestion: CRAFTABLE. ARMOR. Stuff like sheet metal vests and stuff like that would help immersion. All in all, this game is great and worth the 16 or so dollars for all three parts. Cant wait for part 4.

Ive had Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven for years now. Ive played since before the second part came out and only just now got back into it a year after the third part was released. We love just how detailed everything is, from the character description to the choices themselves and the effect is has on your gameplay. Its all so well put together. There are typos here and there, but its nothing crazy. We really do hope this game keeps getting attention and updates because its something we always come back to. Im excited to see what part 4 will have in store.
A great player choice game and we had a ton of fun managing the world and survivors aswell as our own character. Would definitely recommend.
This has to be one of our favorite games of all time we havent been able to stop playing, we just have one suggestion at the beginning of the game when were customizing our character is there anyway we can customize our characters, height, and build? We know we get an idea of what height and build everyone is, so we were just wondering if it be possible to do that for the mc.
Great app. Theres just a glitch when you play as a college student, and if one of your challenges is having a pet, it wont let you train them.

We played through this game so many times Ive lost count. Ive played as every character possible and some custom built characters. Your choices as well as how you built the character youre playing as truly effects not only the outcome of the game but the game itself. We cant imagine the amount of time that went into this. Ive spent countless hours with this story. Really good game! Awesome.
Skills are not abundant u cant have the skills u want so u have to pick violent skills or u could die u cant be smart and be tough at the same time or u will have to pay more money.

Good writing, good characters, only have run into one bug where you couldnt build a watchtower on the north side in chapter 3, only wish is that you do more defensive builds so theres more to gathering materials for it. Sides that love the game.
This is our first willing review. We think this game is fantastic there are so many decisions that it makes you feel like you are actually in the game. The game is thought provoking and overall a must play for those who like to be immersed in a game.
Cannot wait for part 4 this is amazing and we cannot get enough so much fun and very dependent on the choices you make.
Its really great but there are some things that can help it grow as a game like adding more criminal paths at the beginning like being a prisoner or a teen in juvie and escapes when the virus started and it would be pretty cool if you had more customization options like age or how tall and the personality so it adds a little more background then you could grow as a person or stay the same and the choice to leave the group and try to make it on your own.
This game/app is amazing. We loved it so much so far. The game writing is spectacular and the replayability is very high. And the story bends and fluctuates to your choices seemlessly. Yes, we will pay the money for the next chapters and future to come. Our only concern, is that sometimes when a big incident occur, the writing or scenarios dont fluctuate all too much. Other than that, we love it. You guys deserve this rating. From us at least.
Its been two years since we last re download this game and Ive bought the full everything. We wish we had more time to build up the camp, we had so many plans but not enough time to slowly prepare for them. We have a nephew which we consider our son so we were hoping to make a little shelter for children to learn like how normal people would go to school. There is so much potential and if it cost that much then Im willing to go over 20 bucks easy for the extended effort, maybe more who knows, its just that interesting.
This game was amazing it was interesting we only wished it didnt end how it did or even at all it was so fun we would recommend this to everyone who likes zombie games it only has one downside it kinda ended poorly but other than that it was great we love this game.
Great text-based game! We love the storytelling and it feels like your choices matter, while there also seems to be some randomization to keep you on your toes. The system for upgrading your character is not overly complicated, which we appreciate. One note for developers: there were a few times when the game just lost our progress and we had to restart. We learned that creating save points is key. However the save points are so spread out it took a lot of time to retrace our steps. More save points please.
We really love this we love game were you can chose your gender and sexuality and stats and background we never loved reading so much in our life it make us feel like we are the Character that we make a for sure five stars game.
