9th Dawn III Reviews

This game is absolutely fantastic. It reminds us of our childhood years playing Legend of Zelda, mixed with some Elder Scrolls and Diablo. This game has it all, and does it all well. Hours and hours of gameplay, enormous open world, tons of layers of crafting and customization, creatures to capture and level up, a build in card game (reminds us of how Witcher 3 did Gwent), challenging enemies and massive dungeons to explore and clear. By far the BEST RPG we’ve seen on mobile!!!

As close to Skyrim Mobile as youre going to get. Feels like a cross between Diablo 2, Pokmon, and Skyrim.

We stumbled across this gem and now we cant get enough of it. There is SO much finely crafted content in this game that will satisfy any respectable gamer who has a refined eye for quality. It reminds us of a 16-bit hybrid of elder scrolls and diablo but you can tame pets to bring into battle. We are well over forty hours in and must say that we are quite pleased with our purchase, and we have to mention that the console command feature is a GENIUS move. Need that pesky Infusion Catalyst to craft that thingamabob? Command it in. Thanks Developer/s and bravo.

By and far our favorite iOS game. Its great for quick play, or extended hours. There is SO MUCH TO DO, then there are the various builds for replay ability. If you are reading this, just get it. Once you get the hang of it youll agree.

Is there any way we can get rid of our companion? We’re looking to play a solo-character.

Great game, but it should include iCloud saves. We would like to be able to play one save file across our iPad and iPhone.

Cant even figure out how to swing a weapon on backbone one. Nothing works.

Loved it. The boss fights towards the end get a little tedious but other then that we had a great time. Really fun exploration.

Fantastic RPG. Best on iPhone imo.

We loved part two and for the most we really like this game. However, theres one aspect that is massively flawed; the crafting. All of them are pretty infuriating, but the one that motivated us to write this review is the gem crafting. First, you have to have goblins blood, which is very difficult to get because you only get one per every 10-15 goblins that you kill. That might even be a generous number. Because you can be underground and disposing of massive swarms and still only get 2 after the field clears. So, we spent about an hour to an hour and a half clearing goblins, we even went back outside twice to reset them. We walked away with 37 pieces of goblins blood. Considering you need at least 6 to have a shot at crafting a gem, it doesnt leave many chances…. So we decided to go and try to craft a few and of course, since its next to impossible to get your skill level up with so few trys at it, our level was 6. We wasnt surprised when the only 6 attempts we had to craft a gem ended in failure. Even though we kept the dial as close to good as you can…. So now we need to clear zombies for three hours just to get 12 chances? Who has that time? Oh and the 6 trys we had that all failed…. Didnt even raise our level to 7…. AWESOME Im gonna stop wasting our time until theres an update that fixes this broken craft nonsense….

The game is really fun, but is frequently crashing on our ipad. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didnt work. :( Really sad because we enjoy the game, but its unplayable for us.

We’ve only been playing for two days, will update this review with in depth information after we have more experience with the game, but we just wanted to briefly note that this game is awesome thus far and is exactly what we’ve been searching for on iPad for what seems like years now. Im thoroughly impressed and thoroughly enthralled and having nonstop fun with the game. It appears to be worth every penny and more. Will update in detail in near future, just wanted to say Im happy with the purchase!

So, we love the open world, we like the customizations, Im overall really impressed. There are a couple quality of life upgrades that we think hold it back from being 5 stars. The maps need some sort of fog of war so you can see where you have and have not been. Dungeons especially go from fun to tedious when monsters respawn every time you enter, so its nearly impossible to fully explore a dungeon unless you do it in one sitting. The recipe screen needs some sort of indicator if you have the needed materials, instead of having to click through every item. Since you have unlimited inventory space, it should be shared between you and NAMELESS. Having to select items, drop them and then pick them up is tedious.

This is literally the best mobile game we’ve ever played Im hooked on it and we usually hate games like this but we cant stop playing this one.

We bought this on android and now bought it on iOS. Im happy to support these developers. They do updates to kill bugs quick. Game plays smoothly on our iPhone 11 Pro Max. Cant wait to see what all else will be added. It already has a lot of content. We would recommend to anyone that loves adventure games. This is on of the best on mobile if not the best. A game dont need good graphics to be great we love the way this game looks and plays. Thanks developers for bringing a good games to all devices.

The game so far is great, we’ve already played about 10 hrs and Im still enjoying every second of it. The only criticism we have is the green orbs you pick up that attribute points in them, we only wish that it would say which point is there. Other than that, the game is great an open world RPG with monster taming definitely a great game in our book.

This game does not hold your hand much, first off. You are given the freedom to explore with lots of areas open to you if you can find a way to survive and get there! There is a ton of customizablility as pretty early on you unlock a 2nd player who has all the same possibilities as your first. So you can have a fighter and a mage combo, etc. Another route is to go more of a stealth ranger with pets that you raise. There is a lot of crafting and fishing mechanics which Im usually not into. They are a litttle slow going at first but speed up. Id recommend starting with mining/smelting and then armor and weapons, since the ore is free and you can make some money selling the stuff you make to invest in other crafting. There really is a lot of freedom in how you explore, this has had us pretty hooked the last few days since we got it! Also, the dev is amazing, they are handling improvements with a rapid turnaround and we think its one person or a very small team. We expect more improvements to come but we are enjoying this a ton already and heartily recommend, if you are ok with not having your hand held.

Two of our favorite, most-played games on iOS are Cavern and Cardinal Quest II. 9th Dawn III feels like the best parts of those games multiplied by 100. Dont let the 2D pixel art fool you this is truly a full-fledged, open-world game with loads of satisfying RPG mechanics. After only a few hours of play, we’ve gotten a sense of the scale and depth of the world. So much to explore, so many quests and conversations to discover, so many monsters to fight and capture. Theres a huge variety of fighting styles and equipment, so the replay value is practically unlimited if you want to roll another character and tackle the game with a different strategy. The simple twin stick controls are easy to use, if a little finicky (maybe add a customization setting for joystick sensitivity?) and the menus/inventory screens arent too cluttered. On an iPhone XR, the text is small but legible. Overall, this is an incredibly well-made game to have come from a one-man development studio. 100% worth the $10 for such a polished premium iOS experience! Our only regret is that we didnt discover the 9th Dawn series until now. Ill be playing this one for a long long time, and will undoubtedly find myself re-installing and re-playing it for many years to come.

Ok let us start off by saying that we are terrible at writing reviews. But we think this game deserves one. We have played about 2 hours of the game so far. Hands down…. Awesome. The devs did a great job. So far we have had a blast. The crafting system is fun. Not to challenging but enough to keep it interesting. Combat reminds in a way of Terraria in the sense that you basically hold down attack and go. That in its self can get boring but seeing as how this is the mobile version, it works. Questing, they dont hold your hand too much which is a good thing. Make sure you READ the dialog though. Otherwise you will have to go back to the quest menu to figure it out. Best of all the card mini game. We spent about 30 straight playing it. Its easy to understand and fun to play. Best of all we havent seen a single micro transaction!!! Honestly for the price. This is a great game and we hope everyone gives this a chance because these guys really made something fun.

Cant put it down. So much to do, its mesmerizing g. Our favorite thing to do is explore, and tip toe around insanely difficult enemies whilst stealing their loot. We save up mats to cook with, and romp through dungeons for named enemies. We think this game might be too addicting. We start, and then look up at the time, and realize 5 hours slipped through our hands in a blink. :)

We want to love this game. But it is just alright. The difficulty curve is all over the place. It is super easy, then you walk into something that one shots you with no warning. Class balance is also bad. There are a 6 pages of mage abilitys 1 page (4) warrior abilitys and 1 rogue ability which is stealth. We wanted to play and archer but not one single archer ability. Another thing is the annoying shop keepers and quest givers never seem to be in their shop. We tried to learn fishing, but had to cook a meal first. Cook wouldnt talk to us because he wasnt in his room. We came back found him in the right place finally. Did his quest and couldnt turn it in until waiting for him to be in the room again, finally got this dish for the fisherman went to him and nope not in his room wont talk to us. Tried to buy arrow nope dude not home. Finally buy arrows and they cost 54 gold each. Can afford less then 100 and it takes 3 to kill a rat. So we are out before we even get to the dungeon. We restarted as a caster and the game is a lot more fun. As long as you like playing as a mage the game is good. But it could be great with some polish.
