What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state.
As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.
The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death.
Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.

PLEASE READ TW BEFORE YOU PLAY THIS This game was MADE for people with ADHD. The attention to detail is something Ive never seen before. We started playing this on our PC but the mobile app is way better for seeing details. The story was so addicting (finished this in 2 days). Sheds a small light on mental health. If you really want to appreciate and love this game do NOT leave a room without looking and all the cool things in there. This game difficulty level is low. There are somethings that are tough but there are a million context clues.
We honestly love this indie horror genre game. Its a fun game for us we liked how you go to the past and see your dead family members storys, also how its scary bc you feel like theres something inside the house or something guiding you to death. Ill be honest we did cry at the end and at Gregorys story. Great game.
Ive played this like 10 times and we cant get bored of it. We play on a iPad that isnt the oldest but surprisingly the game runs pretty well. We think the other reviews were old so thats why but this was worth every penny we will glaze this till we die.
We just wanted to update everyone that if you are playing on Macbook (not sure about Windows) to turn of the sound from pressing the keys You just have to go into settings. Settings> Sound>Sond Effects> Turn the "Alert Volume" all the way down This should fix the issue with hearing your key being pressed.
This game is very amazing and good, but its best to play on Xbox or PS4 or any other console. Not iPad. Phone. Or tablet. It will be slow and crash. So try it on a console.!! 5/5 stars.
We loved this game. It almost brought us to tears a couple of times because its so sad. We do however wish they didnt leave us on a cliffhanger near the end. That sucked. We hope they make another one (probably wont) but they should. Worth buying. Worth playing. Great designs and amazing story line.

What remains of edith finch is one of the best mobile games running smooth and fast. The game never crashed and had beautiful graphics, if you dont want to spend 19.99 the 5 dollars are so worth it. Gameplay is not long maybe an 1-2 hours but the storyline is beautiful. Sound quality is beautiful and it never cuts out, the scenery makes it a perfect game. Movement is alittle hard but only in some parts the rest is fairly easy. If you like an easy going game with a beautiful storyline and amazing graphics and gameplay what remains of edith finch is perfect.

A dark but magical adventure. So much visual depth. We dont think we have ever been so touched by a video game before. Well worth the money.
The ending made us cry the storyline was sad interesting it worked well on our iPad.
Some spoilers!!! Our game crashes a little bit but without that, its a beautiful experience for most ages that are OK with deaths and the other details that make the game 12+. Its worth all the dollars! ( our phone wouldnt let us rate, but we say 5 stars).
This game isnt about well-timed jumps or quick thinking. Its a story that you live inside. We savored it over a week. Didnt want to miss anything.

WARNING GAME INVOLVES LOTS OF CHILD DEATH IN ITS STORY we think the graphics looks better than it did on our xbox…. This game is so replay able we bought it once we saw we could bring this game anywhere with us in our pocket! Enjoy walking around a house full of details to interact and see how nice they look including furnitures and pictures beautifully graphic.
We had no issues with game play, some things are challenging but it was great! We wish it had been longer and we wish every story app was this interactive. We dont recommend for young ages but as an adult we enjoyed it. We just couldnt break away. If you have a day to yourself and just want to relax at home, its finishable. Oh and when you get to the treehouse just approach the ladder and climb it. Theres no clue there.
It reminds us of Garcia Marquezs book One Hundred Years of Solitude. We love the narrative techniques in the game and we just cant stop playing the game to see whats gonna happen. The game worths 5 stars and we will recommend to our friends.
We bought this game on Xbox one and we were in love with it instantly, the graphics, the storyline, the music Its a beautifully tragic game that will always hold a special place in our heart, while the game play takes maybe an hour it is so freaking worth it.

The Game has a good story and we like when you read the diaries it has fun mini games. Sometimes the Game legs and kicks us out but turning down the hue in The settings helped a lot. The game is better than most mobile games.
Wow! Digital artistry and immersive storytelling at its finest. This sets a new bar for the art of the possible. Cant wait to see more! This is an amazing, highly interactive, totally immersive, story / game experience. Ive never seen anything quite like it. The execution is flawless, the story is captivating, the part the player plays is intuitive and the game aspect makes you think just enough so you feel like you are part of the story telling. We really appreciate the ongoing narrative that stitches the story together while the player explores the space finding story nuggets and interacting with the environment. Somehow they do this without ever having a frustrating moment where you need to solve a puzzle before getting to the next part of the story. We are so impressed with the creators for building this experience, finding the exact right balance of interaction (at least for us) and pushing into a totally new frontier of storytelling. The story itself is wonderful – slightly dark but it doesnt feel creepy. The design of the world / house you explore is amazing and so creative and inventive. We especially enjoyed the select few games within a game that they created. We wont spoil the fun in this review but suffice to say that there are several layers to the interaction and several unexpected interactive twists. The software, interface, and general mechanics of this worked beautifully for us on our iPhone w/ iOS 14.8.1 (have not yet updated to iOS 15.2). Our only nit pick is that while we appreciate the stylistic choice for a desaturated and sometimes hazy color palette / display, there were several occasions where we wished we could see just a little more color/detail/contrast in the scene. Maybe thats just us though.
This sort of game doesnt typically keep us engaged, but we really stayed hooked for the whole thing. The stories are wild and tragic, the narration is good, the graphics are really interesting, and we love that its told in vignettes with different controls and goals and such. There were a couple of levels that we found really annoying to get though – specifically Sam and Gregory – but it didnt take us out of it. We know there are some Easter eggs/side quests/whatever so even though we played through we think we could get something out of another go around. We highly recommend the game.

We love short, story-driven experiences and this game delivers on all fronts. Storytelling, atmosphere, emotion. We enjoyed it every step of the way. This is not really a traditional game, but rather something you experience. Obviously dont want to say much, but at 2-3 hours, its the perfect length to captivate you without overstaying its welcome.
Wow, what a haunting masterpiece! Storytelling at its finest, music on point, voice acting was superb! We grew up in Olympia and would vacation on the islands in the pigeon sound. The atmosphere was captured perfectly.
We honestly love this game and definitely recommend it to others, when you reach Sven and Edies room and go into the pink bathroom it will crash when your about to go to the next area which is the only problem so far. Overall we think this game is 5/5.
We usually dont leave reviews but what other people are saying is pretty true. In the pink bathroom after you open the door and climb in when we try looking around it kicks us from the game. We think the game is amazing but you cant play it if it keeps doing this and it disappointed us. The story sounds amazing but we cant play the rest of the game. Please fix this.
We love this game so much, its amazing. Although we can play it without lag, and it runs smoothly, as soon as Edith enters the secret room in the pink bathroom our game crashes and takes us to the Home Screen. We hope its playable for iPads in the future.

We first bought this game on our phone which didnt have the requirements to play the game. We then used our iPad which was much better. This game has such an interesting and beautiful story. We were captivated the whole time.
So we played through this game and we got to the pink bathroom and it crashed right after theres a secret in this bathroom and apparently it will also crash after the Calvin level and we have an iPad generation 9 so it should work.
(Im playing on iPhone 11 Pro Max) Its a bit glitchy and it paused during the scene where we went up in the castle, but other than that amazing game! light spoilers we wish we would have found out what happened to Ediths brother, or add something to the story other than her discovering the past, but we enjoyed it. This isnt really a critique we loved the game.
We understand optimization issues and the artistic choice to prioritize a cinematic aesthetic, but in the age of iPad Pro M2, Im pretty sure you could at least offer the option to push 60 frames. We were expecting the same experience as on PC and we were slightly disappointed in the first 3 seconds of starting the game when it chugged 30. Im sure to most people this is not a huge detraction, but we havent played a game at 30 frames for years. We have become accustomed to something a bit smoother; It is more important to us than resolution or fancy effects. That said, we like the controller support and visuals which are, honestly, almost on par with pc. Also, unlike many high fidelity AAA ports, it seems rather stable. Kudos.
Hello we just wanted to put out a complaint? The game is nice graphics on point but when we turn up our sound we didnt work? We turned on some music just to see if it was us but the music played fine. We dont know what happed we turned it to the max and yet we dont hear a word from the voice actor. We need some assistance! __Saint.

The graphics are pretty and overall nice to look at. There are some small bugs that we feel arent acceptable for a 5 dollar game but it was still interesting. A major issue was the fact the game kept crashing when we reached specific areas. (Im using an IPad which is relatively new) For example, it kept crashing when we finished Mollys story which was bothersome. We deleted the game and reinstalled it a few times and managed to reach Calvins bit. We finished swinging and the game crashed repeatedly. Ive tried everything from restarting to deleting the game but nothing worked. We havent been able to complete it. Please fix this!! We really want to finish the game :c TL;DR: great game but it crashes often.
Okay developers, please help us with this, our game is stuck at a HORRENDOUS resolution (we cannot even see the text it is so bad) and there is nothing in settings to change this. Also, there are black bars on the screen instead of full screen. The game is great, but we cannot appreciate the graphics because of this.
