STORY

In the distant future, the only sentient beings in the world are robots.

They are the last remnant of the human spirit.

However, mankind is not dead.

Technology exists that is capable of transferring memories to these robots.

But with limited space, new memories will gradually overwrite the old.

To prevent the emotions in human memories from fading away, the robots resorted to converting the emotions to music, and storing them in a place called Cytus.

The robots use these songs to experience human emotion and dream that souls exists in each of them…

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We thought they were done after the last update because Rayark moved onto Implosion and VOEZ, but it's nice to see they still care about their best (and first!) game.

There is a major learning curve to this game, but once you pass that, this game is amazing.

This game is so much fun. Harder than Deemo but the music is ten times better. We love all the dub step and edm.

We've been playing for two years and have MMed basically every song but we would like if we got more songs… We've never had any problems and this game is always fun to us. Keep it up.

This game is so fun and we're addicted to it! Definitely worth buying it.

To all those people complaining, shut up. This game is amazing, and to those who think the pause button doesn't work, it does. You just have to tap it twice.

It took us a hot second to understand what the heck we were doing, but then it was magic. Sometimes we feel like Napoleon Dynamite, groovin. Sometimes we feel a part of the music. We love the music and the art. We don't think we'll ever get the best scores, but we don't care! We just love playing it. Also it helps immensely if you bob your head to the beat. Has to be one of our favorites of all time.

It's a really really fun game we love it but we don't want to pay a total of 30$ just to get the other songs It's just too much money.

Love the music and art! Like DDR but for your hands lol.

We just adore this game and we've only had it for a day and we can't get enough of it! It's by far amazing and the music is so enjoyable to listen to. Unlike most music games we've played we love how the notes and keys go with either the base or the voice. By far the best Music game and defiantly worth the money.

This is by far one of our favorite rhythm games on mobile. We've had it for over a year and we've never gotten sick of it. There's an incredibly huge song list too. Runs very smoothly and we've never had it lag or freeze.

We've always loved music/rhythm based games but Cytus has made us find a whole new level of appreciation for this said genre. Cytus is an addictive, must play game that, in our opinion, never gets boring and is constantly updating to bring you MORE AMAZING MUSIC. Try this game out, just a couple–no just one song and it will have you hooked. Although, we would definitely recommend wired speakers over Bluetooth/wireless due to the natural lag of the sound but even when we use our wireless speakers, this game plays smoothly and perfectly–always. 5/5!! (If only we could give 10000000^9th/5 we would).

Use your fingers to play. Your thumbs will just get in the way.

Highly suggested. Lots of songs. Difficulties feel challenging but not impossible. Very good design. Simple. Fun. Addictive.

We love these types of game and this is only of the only app that we find gives you the most out of the game. Tons of songs so the price is totally worth it.

Finally, we have you our beautiful Cytus queen.

Yep 1.good story 2.great gameplay 3.alot of songs To know the story just play the chapter song (before you enter a chapter) , you play it by clicking the glowing red (hard) or green (easy) its in the middle at the almost bottom of the screen. Also when u play all songs on the Knight? Chapter you get a song, play that and another song comes Also Cytus II hype.

The game can really test your reflexes and reaction time! But it could be better if they added a multiplayer feature :).

This game is amazing. Great music with responsive input.

If you like rhythm games, you'll like this game.

We've always been a fan of rhythm games, though we couldn't ever find one that was really engaging or had good free songs. Cytus is incredible, and we love the variety of songs to choose from, as well as the dynamics of the game itself. Our only small complaint would be it seems to not be possible to sync your progress across devices; we're not sure what the little 'sync' cloud does, but it doesn't update your progress if you switch devices. But that's a rather minor thing and definitely will not stop us from trying to get high scores on both devices :).

Absolutely a great and beautiful game. It provides hour on hours of gameplay with a amazing story hidden in the shadows of the main song. We highly recommend this game if you have nothing to do and have a lot of free time.

Can this game's praises be sung anymore? You see the ratings, and we concur with them. This is the most creative and engaging rhythm-based game we have ever played and will ever play. The gameplay is unique — we have literally never seen this concept before, and it is beautiful.

We used to play ddr back in the day, so we have a good appreciation for rhythm games. We also stopped by the arcade in Japan, and they have an amazing selection of games, but this one is one of the best that we have played on the iPad. The mechanics are simple to learn but very difficult to master, and there are many many songs here to choose from to keep you from bring bored. This is a keeper.

We really enjoy this game. Probably our favorite rhythm game that's available on mobile devices. The music is great, the game is well made, and it even allows you to compete with others based on both score and accuracy. Overall a great game.

Looking around we can see that some people have had problems with the game. We're going to list those problems and show you how to fix them: Pausing- To pause the game you just need to tap the pause button twice. It might mess up your score, but pausing in general does the same for most games. Combos- When you reach a combo within the multiples of 25, the combo will appear in the middle of the screen. If may be distracting, but if your paying attention to the game, it can be helpful since you can't always look up to see the combo. Gameplay- Go to the screen where you choose the chapter you want and press tutorial. Once you finish it, go to one of the first two chapters and enter it. Choose a song and play it in easy mode (on the bottom of the song there will be a bar with Easy written in green and the level as well as Hard in purple with the level. You can switch between modes by pressing them). This will help you learn to play the game. If you want a challenge, to to some of the later chapters and play there. You can also go on hard mode too. Moving Around- To move around within the game you just need to press the arrows to choose which chapter, and press the chapter to enter. To switch songs, press the icon towards either the top right or left and you will switch songs. That's pretty much it. Please remember that no game is perfect, and that this game is not a walk in the park (also if you don't like challenging games, this is not for you).

This game has great music. Good artwork. The gameplay is a little weird but it works.

We started playing this game like three days ago. We love it, the only real problem is freedom dive it is WAY to fast. Other than that we rate it 11/10.

Great Jpop songs plus interesting game play, what else could you ask for.

This game has such a creative format and can even hold its own in comparison to deemo! We've barely started playing yet we know we won't put it down for hours. Tons of content for such a low price. 10/10 in our book.

This game is awesome and addicting.

We are in love with this app! We've been a fan of rhythm games like Love Live School Idol Festival and Idolm@ster Starlight Stage for a while so we were surprised at how much we liked the "free-floating notes" aspect, but we find it really keeps each song unique! This app is well worth paying for.

This game slays. We've had this game for over a year and it's still amazing if only it could be multiplayer and go against other players.. But it's still great and there are hidden levels on songs we have discovered. Yes hidden songs. You just need to find it, but some songs don't have any.

We really love rhythm games and this app is a real treat. Well worth the price. We've dumped quite a few hours into it and we've had it for less than a week.

You guys don't make a lot of games but when u do they r great.

We've always heard of cytus and for a long time we've wanted to play this game. When we finally got it, we wasn't disappointed. Granted, the app took up a lot of space on our phone – 1.3 GB – but we love it nonetheless. There's a vast selection of music to choose from, and the gameplay is like none other. We love this app a whole lot, and we would definitely recommend it to everyone we meet. Yeah. Everyone.

Yea it's really really cool…totally worth the couple bucks we had to pay for it. Lovin it.

This game is priced very well! This game has a loooooot of song available from the moment you bought it. For that reason, we NEVER get tired of this game! We appreciate Rayark for creating this wonderful game while keeping the player's interest in mind. We look forward to their future games.

Hands down the best music game on iOS. For $1.99 you get a ton of content, as opposed to forking out a ton of cash for a playlist in other rhythm games. It helps us get our Osu style fix on the go.

Hearing about Cytus through the Osu! Community, the game exceeded our expectations especially for a mobile rhythm game. This game is definitely worth a try! However our only complaint is that this game is more suitable for tablets than it is for our iPhone 6.

This was the best game we have played since deemo. It has really great songs you can play. Great for road trips and many more or just for funny. We recommend this to anyone who likes music.

We don't regret getting this game and the amount of songs on here is amazing. Worth every penny.

We love this app. The artwork is great and you don't have to pay for songs. We highly suggest purchasing this app.

Awesome variety of music! Techno, J-pop, etc. We love it!! Best dollar we invested in!!! This game is getting 5 stars ratings for a reason.

Seriously this game is incredible! The gameplay is much more energetic and unique than Deemo's and has a much larger variety of music to choose from. Cytus also has a crazy amount of content with hours of incredible, albeit very Electro/Japanese, music. We highly recommend for anyone who has played Deemo, since Cytus really adds the extra challenge to your fingertips. 5 NO 6 stars.

If we could describe this game in one word eargasmic you the creators of this game are god itself we love everything about this game.

So used to playing Deemo that the note system here feels strange and alien, but at the same time the game is fun once you figure out the controls and such. If anyone played Deemo and liked it, we'd give it a try. If you played this one first, give Deemo a try.

Love the graphics, game, music. If u love Japanese music then this game is for you. It's a rhythm game.

One of our favs. Really cool game.
