No monsters, nothing weird, just humans trying to solve a murder mystery. We liked the puzzles and HOs. Its a nice long game with great graphics. And the story made sense. If this is your kind of game Im sure you will like it.

It has been awhile since we played this but how exciting to see a sequel. We didnt have any problems with the game as some have indicated. We always go into our history and write a comment. We would revisit this one for a second go-around.

We play a lot of these HOP games, and this is the best we've played in a long time. The story has to be engaging for us to buy it, and it was. The actual gameplay was nearly flawless. There are new tools in the game, like an evidence board instead of a diary. We particularly liked the ability to question suspects. The HOPs were interesting and varied, and they put effort into thinking up new mini games, not rehashing the same ones we've seen before. The morphing objects were inside the HOPs, which was a nice surprise. If you miss a morphing object or a star, you can go back and get it without having to replay the whole game. The Art Deco artwork was beautiful. For us to buy a game, it must have a combo of engaging story, beautiful art, and solid gameplay. This one scores high on all 3. The only very slight criticism we have is that when hovering over something in your inventory to check its name, sometimes that will trigger you to go back to the previous screen. But this is a very minor nitpick of an almost perfect game. We'll look for Eipix titles in the future.

Everything we love in a game! Good story, nice graphics and both the main game and bonus chapter were nice and long! Multiple types of HOP which is so much better than just one type and the mini games were unique too. There was also extra items to find throughout the game along with morphing items as well. There was hint and skip buttons and a map that could be used for fast traveling. This game really had it all! We did not have any technical issues on our first generation iPad Air. Please Big Fish give us more like this one.

We really enjoyed this game. It was far more interactive than most and we really felt like we were participating as a detective. We love the the story line. Not as goofy and far fetched as some of them lately. There were only some minor technical sensitivities, no more than most that we've played, and no major glitches. We thought that it was a good deal for the $3.99. Would Highly recommend it.

We have been playing the free game and thoroughly enjoyed it. When we checked to buy the game we saw that it cost $6.99. That is a lot of money for a game. Frankly we've been burnt by a Big Fish game where the Hint button quit working. We cannot get through these games without a Hint button so the game is unplayable to us. That game was $6.99 and we were unable to get our money back. This is why we hesitate paying this much money for a game. Anyway, what we have played of the game has been very interesting and enjoyable, and not just the run of the mill HOG. We would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys these mystery/HOG games.

This game played great on our iPad mini 2 with no glitches. The hint system and jump map system was awesome. It wasn't creepy like we like, but it was mysterious and kept us guessing. This game gave us hours of fun.

Good storyline and character interaction. Good length and complexity. Lots of variation in puzzles and actions so didn't have that repetitive feel.

Love love love this game. Especially liked being able to go back to scenes to pick up items that we had forgotten along the way. Hope that dead reckoning two is as enjoyable as this one was.

This is our second review-first one trashed it because of bad download. Reloaded, and was blown away! Thank you, Eipix, for a story involving humans-it was a real pleasure. Beautiful, complex graphics with an actual entertaining plot. Collectibles, varied HOS, nice unusual games, souvenir room, NO prompts to rate, cohesive storyline, and lots to do that actually made sense. We're so impressed, really enjoyed this one. Glad we gave it another try-those of you who had initial trouble should try again. It's really worth the effort.

Finally a fantastic game Big Fish. It was easy to follow, and very entertaining. We would definitely recommend this one to everybody, as it is a long game, lots of twists and turns into finding who the killer was.

So we've played almost all of them, and this is among the best of the best. Super elegant and smooth gameplay, complex HO, logical, engaging art deco story. Only wish the puzzles were a zone more difficult. All hail Eipic as the new winner and champ.

We can't tell you how hard it is to find a "who done it" hidden object game that is w/out gore, vampires or anything having to do w/ the occult AND are on an adult level! These games are few & far between so we're VERY grateful when one of this caliber comes out! It was entertaining, engaging & the graphics were REALLY great & difficult enough to keep our mind guessing. Thank you Big Fish for meeting ALL different tastes & needs.! We look forward for the next "Dead Reckoning" to come out.

Great map system and little mini objectives. The only thing annoying was accidentally hitting a hidden part of the scene that makes you go back to previous. Rather irritating when you are exploring. Hints are good – Hops are good. Game felt a little short with rushed ending but overall good game with some replay value to get all achievements.

Not only did it not have the lengthy "movie" at the beginning that gets boring fast, but it was also a different type of hidden object search. It was actually fun. We didn't have any issues with it.

This is really fun in every way. The murder mystery theme is far superior to fairies, red eyes and smoke. Also the graphics excellent, gameplay perfect, HOPs and mini-games original. Big Fish is finally improving….thanks.

This story takes place in the early 1900's; and you, along with a fellow detective, are called to the Silvermoon Isle estate to investigate the death of a wealthy actress, Veronica West. Did she really commit suicide or was it murder? Along the way, you meet multiple characters, collect evidence, use deductions, and engage in fun interactivity. You will interrogate the suspects and collect items as evidence, which are stored in your evidence book. The artwork is gritty, creating a realistic environment relative to the era. You use a camera to take pictures of evidence and use a magnifying glass for clues while investigating the crime scenes. The HOS are the standouts of this innovative game. They are varied and quite long. You have some word lists and some "find the item by silhouette", sometimes in combination, implemented with some twists. For example, a suspect will ask your assistance with finding some items; and when you click on a case, a mini HOS will initiate and then the steps repeat. You have the option of playing a bubble shoot game, but the HOS are so fun that most players will opt out. The puzzles are fun but simple. The teleport map is labeled with location names, and "action available" is applicable in certain modes of difficulty. The inventory is labeled as well. You are collecting 44 stars in the locations and 12 morphing objects in the HOS. There are also achievements and the usual extras, including a Souvenir Room. This game is unique and well thought out.

This is an Epix game and up to their usual good standards. A movie star is dead – suicide or murder? Follow the clues. Interactive game, also collect stars every scene and morphing objects in HO only. Good art, great change of pace.

The graphics are superb! Game play keeps you involved. (Even when its 3 am and you should be sleeping!) Only one minor complaint: when you get something to use, it would be great if it were identified. Otherwise, everything good in an HOP and then some.

We haven't been playing this game long, but we're enjoying it so far. The HOPS are unique. We like that. It's a little "wordy" – too much dialog, evidence-gathering & analysis – but that's a personal thing. Storyline is good. It's a real murder mystery. Quick hints – transporting map. So far – so good.

Played a while ago but it kept deleting our review. This game had a great Art Deco feel, with beautiful graphics and interesting cut-scenes. As a detective you get to question suspects and have an evidence board instead of a diary. Objectives are regularly updated. You collect stars, and morphing objects are only in the HO scenes. The HO scenes were varied, and there was an excellent mix of puzzles. Inventory was labeled and there was a teleport map marked with tasks and objectives. The game was lengthy and had a bonus adventure. There were no RATS! This should have been a 5 star game, but there were some issues. The touch sensitivity was terrible. You had to tap really hard in the HO scenes to pick up inventory. Also it was very hard to navigate unless you used the map. The inventory "hovered", and sometimes when you picked up an item, it hit the back tap area and moved you to the prior location. Also in order to access evidence and the map, you had to exit the game and go into the menu. We would have preferred a regular inventory bar, a journal for the evidence and a map tab, so you wouldn't have to exit the game! However the game was very interactive and if not for these issues was a great game! EIPIX, definitely a sequel with these issues resolved! Well done.

We have to applaud the designers for one gorgeous scene after another. We also appreciated the story–nothing satanic or demonic, having to do with the occult, etc. The voice overs were also top notch! In one way, the game has been taken to another level by way of "interviewing" the suspects with the lying and truth words everywhere-clever! However, in another way this is a bit repetitive just like so many others. You find something you can't open, like a weird-shaped lock, and then later you find it. You go back and open it and get something. That happens over and over…weird lock, find the shape, insert shape. If you want to take it to an even higher level, we recommend Grim Legends 2–sort of like a cross between Drawn and Awakening. Anyway, thanks for a good game! It was obvious a lot of effort went into it.

We've gone through, made room, it's on a new ipad, just keeps crashing & we cannot finish. Bought Eipix other movie series, paid 7 for this game & it's a complete mess. FIX IT!!!!!! PLEASE.

Layout is a little confusing but this was a fun game.

We really enjoyed this game. The story was intriguing and the hidden objects and puzzles had just the right amount of challenge for us to stay interested but not frustrated. We hope to see many more detective and mystery hidden object games. We like them so much more than the ghosts and witches games.

This had a decent story line and the art was kind of neat too. We enjoyed the play although the HOS were all kind of the same. It was overall a very good game and especially on sale. We would recommend it even though it's not the best ever, it was certainly worth the price! Have fun.

It was a fun game, but we wish it was longer.

This one was a really good game with a good mix of puzzles. The only thing we didn't care for was the silhouette puzzles. We would much rather have a regular HOS. We don't mind a silhouette puzzle here and there, but there were too many of them. Other than that, the game was super.

The preview is to short, but so far it is playing very well.

Have not been playing this long enough yet so will write more after we have played longer.

Please help us. We have tried to get help from different places. We are in chapter 4. We can not play dartboard game. Unable to access dart board. We have the darts. We cant get elevator key. Till we do. Hint keeps stating nothing to do here move along.

The story line is fun but the puzzles and HOPs are formulaic and boring. This must be an older game as some of the Eipix games are more innovative. We bought it for $3 so we dont feel cheated but we wouldnt have wanted to pay full price.

Very annoying to make so much progress then to have the game crash several times, the last time forced us to start over. We haven't made it back to the point when you have to Unlock the full version but it better not ask us to purchase this again.

Did not play long enough to adequately rate the game. We will buy the game because it appears to be a good "who done it" mystery. Haven't played one in a long time.
