We remember playing this game in our 7th grade classes, we are now in our second year of college. This game actually helped us find ourselves and shape who we are as a person. Its such a simple story but it works so well. Its been a pleasure watching this game grow, we remember when it was just the first 3 routes and the rest hadnt even been added Ive never had a game stick like this for us, but Im glad it has :).
We first discovered this game through a fanart post on Pinterest on March 16th, 2024 (we literally have the date engraved into our brain) It is now late 2025 and to say we are obsessed with this game is the understatement of the year. We LOVE LOVE mysteries, especially murder ones that involve horror. We LOVE any stories that involve like cults or something with the devil. Although we wont always admit this we LOVE romance plots mixed with said mysteries especially involving the player or reader as their own original person (for the most part). And lately we LOVE medieval stuff. This game is all of that mashed together and essentially a thanksgiving meal of PERFECTION. We have a handful of merch now, we plan on cosplaying one of our favorites (VALDEMAR) and one of these characters have seriously become a comfort character (cough Muriel). We have had so many moments of our heart pounding with anticipation and excitement playing this, hands trembling and literally screaming. Yes we are neurodivergent and yes we are not normal when we rlly rlly like things. We got some earrings at a thrift store just because they reminded us heavily of the red beetles and then the other pair of Asra. Everytime we see a white snake, we think Asra. Everytime we see a dark coated canine, we think Muriel. Every time we see any beetle we think Vulgora and just the game in general. Im more in love with anatomically correct Hearts and have many replicas of them in our possession now because of Valdemar (and Lucio too technically but mainly that creature we adore). Ive also made many fanarts and have written and am writing many fanfics based off it. Nonetheless this game is PHENOMENAL, art is beautiful (srsly taking inspo from it in our own art) and characters and story is amazingly written. Idk what our life was before discovering this game, rlly wish we found it earlier than just last year, especially considering how long its been out.
We adore this game so dearly! The art and story are absolutely stunning and the love interests are unique and fun.
Im just going to say it Im sad and mad that we cant ACTUALLY make our own character.
We decided to play The Arcana after we caught a friend of ours playing the heart hunter mini game. We thought it looked interesting and decided to download it. And we absolutely loved it. The art style is so pretty, the stories are interesting and fun, we were having a blast every step of the way. We especially liked how the paid options dont affect the story, while also making us pace ourselves so we didnt go through the game too quickly. We still go on and on about this game, and will continue to do so. Could not have made us happier.
We use to play this years ago so much, it lowkey helped us bring back our writing habit again. We really loved the stories Im downloading it again for some nostalgia. We dont see people talk about this app a lot it deserves recognition for its thrills and drama.
Honestly this game is kind of nostalgic to us. Whenever we feel bored or other OTOME games dont make us feel anything we always go back to this one. We love it.
But we would love to be able to customize our character and make it look how we please yk.
PLEASE make a second story for Julian! Even if it is less action packed, now Im attached to the characters and storyline lol. We absolutely adore this game and was sad to see the end of Julians route, and plan on playing the others, but hes our absolute favorite, and Id definitely continue playing if you guys made sequels to the first stories. Also excited for the rest of Muriels route to be released! We also LOVE how inclusive this game is besides the fact that you can have straight or gay romances in this, we like that you can choose your pronouns, and that theres multiple characters in the story that go by they/them. Very progressive and inclusive, and not something you see much of. Our only issues with this game are that we bought the whole story and all paid for options for legit $10 thinking itd be the entire route for Julian and thatd be worth it to buy that once instead of multiple small purchases along the way, only to find out it was for 3 chapters of the story, of which theres like 30. The keys refill extremely slowly, like we get you have to make money off it but seriously one 3 minute episode every 7 hours is ridiculous. Also, a cool addition would be more mini games! You earn coins very slowly for how fast the story progresses, but we like how you have a story-related mini game to earn coins even when you cant read the story (if out of keys, etc). But overall amazing game, Id love to see other apps by you guys, but pleeeease continue creating stories in this one far too good of a plot line to be over now.

Cause we REALLY want to get the artwork and so far Ive been playing Julians storyline, and we plan on doing Arsa next. (Also some people spell Arsas name incorrectly. Ive had this game since 2019 or so and we absolutely love it so much! We used to play it all the time in middle school, its so intriguing and overall amazing! We loved every route with the characters, from the good route to the bad route we enjoyed every single one! Its honestly a good game in our opinion! But we recently broke our phone a few months ago, and we lost all of our progress, we had it saved to our account but now everything is gone all we have left are our keys. But even though we lost everything at least we can replay this again the nostalgia is so amazing.
This game genuinely brings so much joy to us! Ive only played through Julians storyline so far but the writing and story-telling is so alluring and the playful banter between characters makes connecting to them so easy. Ive found the romance aspects so refreshing in comparison to many other games which rush the relationship and lack the ability to establish strong bonds like they do in The Arcana. (Being immersed in the storyline-) we had purchased 30 keys so we could read Julians storyline in one go, and it was so so worth it, and it also felt good being able to support the creators even just a little with our purchase! Ive literally never once wrote a review for any app before, but this game deserves props and sooo much more! (Also the merch is so cool!!).
We love the art, music, story- everything! Its super easy to get coins and keep playing. Theyre always working on new content, so theres never a boring moment. Highly recommend.

Hello to anyone looking to get this game. We want to tell you that this is the best dating game we have ever played. The storyline is raw and real, the characters are dynamic, and the happy and sad moments all make you feel like you're in the story itself!! We especially like the way its very LGBTQ+ accepting and supportive, letting you choose your pronouns and the such :3 we do have one suggestion for that though! Maybe you could include a few common options for neopronouns such as xey/xem or vey/vem? Or maybe an option for custom pronouns "/self" we have friends who use neos and play this game, and we know it would make them so happy The art is gorgeous and Julian's reversed ending made us sob like a baby. We reccommend to anyone looking for a good, romantic visual novel that you get to be a part of! And Dorian, if you wanted to add those pronouns, just write back! Thank you.

So we just got this game a couple of days ago and we are obsessed with it. We love the plot, the characters, the scenery but we just want to know on what would happen when we finish it all would we start all over again or is it just done forever, and we have a 17+ thing so we cant get any thing like that. So like are the characters stories going to continue or will there be different characters or is it just done forever. We really like all the characters and it just dont want it to end. Okay, this is a petty review on ONE thing. Ive had this app for over 5 years now and have enjoyed every single second of the stories and characters. We log in almost every single day to collect our wheel of fortune and tarot coins BUT NEVER IN MY OVER FIVE YEARS OF OWNING THE APP HAVE we EVER LANDED ON THE 1000 COIN PRIZE!!! We know its absolutely ridiculous to complain about but come on man, at least one time? Other than that, the characters are easy to love and grow attached to and their stories are very entertaining and full of fantasy. We recommend this game to adults, hopeless romantics, and story based players.
Can yall change up the ads we get to earn coins because getting the same weird ads over and over gets annoying. Also Wheel of Fortune never lands on the big coins (20 is max ever gotten) or some of the trinkets we have 0 of and others we have 5. Other than that, great game.
So we redownload the game and there is no sound. We turned our volume all the way up, and it wasnt connected to any Bluetooth device. We also checked the settings in the app just to make surethey were on as well. Kind of weird. Overall, we love the game and cant wait to finish the other chapters.
This game is amazing, but there are a few kinks. The main problem in our opinion is how hard it is to get coins without buying them. We keep trying to make more but its kinda hard to get 150 coins when youre limited to chance and a few adds that give you coins. Id really like it if there was an easier way to make coins, like a challenge that gives you 150 or you get 30 coins when you end a chapter or something. Other than that, great game.
We used to love this game a lot! We had played it for years! We got a new phone so reinstalled the app, but we keep trying to use it and connect it to our Facebook account but we cant do anything since all the app does is crash. Im forced to only use our Apple account and start all over.
Pros: Its pretty fun and interesting, Im excited to explore all the romance routes. The art style & character design is just stunning, kudos to artists/digital designers! Its very cool to see pronoun options for non-binary peeps Im loving love the characters so far, its really nice to have a variety of different personalities to peruse. Personally for us, Im so happy to see some NON-yandere male love interests, no offense to those who do enjoy it. Heart Hunter is so dang fun and addictive, we swear we played more of it than the actual game itself. Cons: Im not a huge fan of the in-game purchases, especially when Im in the middle of an emotional and tense situation..and then we have to pay to play to see the juicy stuff. We appreciate it being ad-free but the monetization can be annoying tbh.
Hi everyone! We just started back playing this game a few months ago, and we love it! It is written really well and the characters are amazing. We also love how they give you a choice in dating all the characters. But, we do have a suggestion. We dont know what happens once you collect all the trinkets, but we think there should be a way that we can sale our extra ones for more coins. The coin cost in the story is so high that we find ourselves waiting weeks so Ill have more than enough to just get 2 premium choices. Thats the only problem that we have. Like, if the coin cost could be lower in game, giving coins for finishing an episode (or even just an ad for extra), and giving coins for winning heart hunter. We would love that! So, those are our thoughts :).
This game is good, but Im not sure why theres only one female romantic option. We dont hate Peggy, we just wish there were more options.
We love this game a lot. Its immersive and has great world building and storytelling but the coins are a bit hard to get. There are ways to get coins in the game without spending money but it takes a while to get enough coins. If you download their other app you can do events to get coins in the arcana but the other app is 17+ while this one is 12+. Im not 17 yet and we have parental restrictions that wont let us get the other game. That makes earning coins more difficult for us. We love Arcana. Its magical and mystical. We love the character designs and the graphics. We especially loved the LGBTQ. We were falling head over heels for the characters and enjoying the Tarot readings and the cute little tidbits. But theres just one problem. Its incredibly hard to get coins. There are better choices that get you an image for your characters gallery and a sweet moment but they cost coins. We know you can watch ads for coins but they barely appear for us. Ive only seen them once and they still werent there the next day. That leaves the Daily Wheel left and the daily logins. Theyre useful but its still hard to get coins. To get coins you have to do other stuff but you have to download this Dorian app thingy and we dont feel like doing that. All in all, its still a great game but we need coins and we dont wanna spend our money.
The game is not letting us sign in with our Facebook account and Ive been playing the game for years now with Facebook but now its not working anymore please fix this issue besides that we love this game.
This is one of the more aesthetically pleasing games of this type that Ive ever seen. Every choice that isnt ok, never mind/ no thanks / let it go costs game currency (50-100), but dont worry! You can get a few coins daily. If you saved up for a month, you might have enough for a satisfying gameplay session.
Nix Hydra selling out was a horrible mistake, really the gamed just been neglected unless you download a separate app. The Dorian app is plastered all throughout the game, and theyve somehow sucked the very soul out of it. Theyve cut the amount of coins you can earn without spending money, and cut the fanbase in half. It was such a good game until capitalism really sunk its claws into it. Really, just get through the main routes then delete and scroll on tumblr for decent fan material.
EDIT: Disregard the coin part, we just realized that there already is an opinion to earn coins in the game. We absolutely love this game. The story, the characters, the plot, everything is well-crafted. We love playing these types of games, and we think this is our favorite out of all the others we've played. Our only complaint is the coins. It's very frustrating that we can't choose certain options since we can't earn more coins without downloading the other game or spending real money. We have restrictions on our phone that prevents us from downloading 17+ games, so we can't play the other game that gives you more coins. Please consider adding a feature or mode in-game that allows you to earn coins somehow without having to buy them with real money or having to download the other game. Thank you for reading.
It went downhill with nearly constant pop up ads and lack of any notable new content. Theyre pushing for their new app, dorian, which in our opinion lacks quality stories and is mainly written by amateurs. We wish they would rewrite the original 3 routes or add new courtiers routes but oh well. Its really not the same game as before, best if you dont redownload and keep it as a good memory.
We really like this game, but the game data doesnt save no matter what youre logged into. If you switch devices or uninstall the app you have to start over from the beginning. Theres no way to skip the prologue.
We love this game but we had to delete the app after we ran out of storage for a while. When we redownloaded it and signed in with our apple acct, it deleted our progress So sad because we literally saved coins for YEARS and had unlocked both endings for all characters. Developers pls lmk if theres any way to get our old acct back.
Game is great but the coins you can supposedly get from the Dorian app, we never get?? The 10 coin one from just opening the app isnt working even though we just finished playing the first chapter of texting Julian.
We did really like the story so far and then we got a new phone and redownloaded it. Doesn't let us in anymore, ill try to sign in with our apple and it just kicks us out of the app.
We havent played since high school (2018). Loved the art then, still love it now. The designs of the characters is memorable, but the stupid have this cool thing happen and pay money or miss out is still a thing. Whats the point in playing gauging the story if you hide it behind a thinly veiled paywall. We want to love this game, we really do.

When we first downloaded this game, we were super intrigued by the ads and stuff. As we played more of it we literally became in love with it! We loved every part of it. The story line was so good. Also, the emotion ive felt during playing this game! We cried so much during julians route due to the reversed ending. Would do anything to play this game for the first time again.
We LITERALLY JUST GOT THIS GAME AND ITS SO FUN AND INTERACTIVE theres so many different diverse characters and the story is so good you cant really decide what side to choose its so good oh our GOSH. The game is addictive tbhh like we spent our whole evening playing Ps im not one to write reviews unless we literally like something a LOT.
