Community Insight:

Grandma Studios does such a wonderful job with their games. So much attention to detail in the scenes! There are 2 crystals to find in each scene, and a counter to help you keep track. The crystals are not always easily spotted, and present a bit of a challenge, which we like. When you find them all, there is a crystal painting to make/solve, which gives you a bonus scene. We loved the adorable red panda, but we wish we got to use him instead of him automatically doing tasks for us. In the custom settings, you can choose to have harder mini games, which we loved. And let us tell you, that made some of them take a while! This is a nice long game as well.

Where is the game and how do you play it? Why cant we just access the bonus game? Thanks, Judi.

What a great game! Good story, varied gameplay, and a bonus game that doesnt feel like an after thought! Thank you.

But we are pleasantly surprised by this one. Even though it clearly is an older game the amount of work that went into it is clear. The length makes you feel your at least getting your moneys worth. The puzzles are not impossibly hard but challenging enough to slow you down. The games of this genre being spit out currently are so cookie cutter and even use the same matrix over and over just changing the scenery up a bit then charging people for just making some cosmetic changes. Games like the room and da Vinci seem to be able to give you weeks worth of game play and yet charge only a few bucks. How do THEY manage that. Anyhoo we love this game. Even given the age. It has wonderfully satisfying noises and not too long cut scenes but good uns and the interactions are not drawn out either. Nicely responsive Very pleased with our money well spent here.

Fun little game to pass the time. Not gruesome like so many others. Would recommend.

We have played this game several times. Now it wont play. We updated it also.??.NO SUPPORT.

We have played a lot of these types of games and we have to say this is one of the more enjoyable ones. Great scenes, lots of fun puzzles.

This was really a great game that we would highly recommend playing. The game was one of the longest Ive played and the games were challenging but fun. Only downside, for us, was the cut scenes were so…slow…. Ugh, they just dragged. But worth putting up with.

We're enjoying this game so much!! Well-thought out story, numerous tasks and mini games that are fun, and we love the wispy, smoke curls that guide us whenever we need to use the hint button. We like to play a somewhat challenging game and not use hints much, but we've decided that much of our enjoyment with these graphic games is indeed tied to the graphics. So we always allow ourselves a hint when needed and turn on the glimmer for hidden object games. This game's glimmer looks like fairy dust. One of the best games we've played in awhile. Our only recommendation to the developers is to please enlarge the text font… Poor eyesight needs larger font. But the quality of the game is so high, we're not taking off a star for the mini-text. The game is that good.

We don't understand all the bad reviews because we really loved this one. We had no sound issues at all. The game was long and challenging without being impossible. The storyline was good and the red panda was cute if a tiny bit slow to load. We also like when we can go back and find collectibles we miss at the end so you don't have to replay the whole game because you miss a couple crystals. Overall this is definitely one of the best Big Fish games we have played recently.

This is actually two stories (books), which is nice because the first one is long enough for a whole game. You want to collect the masks/gems from each scene so you can open the next book at the end of this one. However, the third book is the bonus and not worth even opening. The graphics were decent. The stories almost made sense, though there were times when you might scratch your head. Although there was quite a bit of put-this-there-and-take-this-and-put-it-there-and-take-this… It rarely got annoying because the items you placed were interesting. There are a ton of varied games and puzzles. Many were quite simple but some were tough. Occasional we had to skip a game where we dont know if they were glitchy or if we couldnt figure it out. The HO scenes were well lit, unlike some games. The tricks to find or create objects were good. What it has to do with silence we have no idea.

Loved the game but had to use a lot of hints.

Not to far in game but looks interesting.

We loved it, great game, graphics were good, puzzles challenging but not too difficult, good storyline. Our only complaint is that after playing and completing it once, we can no longer open the game. We paid money for the game and its frustrating that we can not go back and play it again. We should be able to play as many times as we want since we paid for it. Update: after deleting and redownloading the game, we were able to get into it and play again, but we had one of the same issues come up again. In the part of the game just past the fishermans house, where you see a womans head on the side of the mountain with water coming out of her, that whole scene drags and glitches. Then when we are down in the ours after that where the elevator is, when we try to play the game on the first floor with the small gemstones, the one on the immediate left, the game shuts down and we cant get any further. So frustrating.

Everytime you try to use a tool you swipe out of the game. Fix the ui.

Theres there three sections to this game and the first one had real potential but when we started the second section it seemed like a different game and couldnt keep our interest.

The storyline is really interesting, but the bugs are extremely annoying. If we pay for a game, we expect it not to crash over and over at the same spot. Also, when youre dragging an item to a spot where it belongs, it will sometimes bounce back. It can take multiple tries to get something to stick. Overall, not a bad game. We just wish it were less buggy and more user friendly.

This is the second game we purchased that just stopped working when we try to play it acts like its coming up but goes right out and will not let us play. Contacted big fish with no help given refuse to buy anymore games from big fish a waste of our money with no refund given for the two games. The game crashed.

Silence ALL ANIMALS!! AKA: Stop Ramming them into games. WARNING:(overloading) Ranting Ahead we were so THRILLED with GrandMA Studios Everburning – that we began downloading their other games…….to our dismay. (Well, it started OUT as dismay..) The first two games BOTH had our top irritating issues, (no, not our mother THIS time…) so much so, they are 100% nonnegotiable. At first sight we immediately delete the game- kick 'em to the curb…. Just like our ex…sans the parting gifts. One: Lacked Custom Settings. Poof! Instant recycle. But the Second, this game, Golden Silence, started with such promise, especially after clicking off every box within Custom Setting, except hint/skip@10 seconds…. As happy as skiing down an unfettered black diamond run, for the first five minutes anyway, …until an unwanted Asian furry import wielding bamboo sticks, sends us blindly reeling off course,… …… …then–>SMACK! Right into trees. This is by FAR our BIGGEST PET PEEVE- (gives insight to the origins of that saying) – THESE BLASTED PETS!!! We could MAYBE consider their thought process -IF – the game centered around pets, animals or mythical creatures, (but would still boycott) but the HOP Games we chose, are specifically murder/mystery, paranormal, detective….battling a madman or evil spirits… So the VERY LAST thing we want -or would even THINK about- is an annoying whiny or snarling slob of an animal, that we now must feed… Then shooting our anger sky high as we're now forced to now track down whatever specialty ingredients this fur covered thorn in our shoe needs.. And, if the game by that point is stellar…and it's that sole interaction…we'll attempt to shoot it from our memory and forge ahead. But…. MY NIGHTMARE WITHIN A GAME SCENARIO, is when you are ASSIGNED an animal, usually a whimpering shivering hairless cat (Chihuahua, ICK) that resides on the tool bar or worse, next to Hint, that's now incorporated into the entire game…as your little buddy and helper…. Great if you're under age ten, and/or have that underdeveloped Kardashian mentality, appreciative for that cute literally fur lined accessory, or if God forbid you're disabled and actually REQUIRE a guide/companion dog. But for us- the idea of having a LAME DOG forced on us- given the nature of these games and how it absolutely DETRACTS from the mood, setting, excitement, mystery and anticipation…. We cannot fathom why they're even a thought much less an active participant in the game… Which is why the instant we see them, our stomach dropped when we heard growling and saw fur in the basket….and bamboo no less, equals high maintenance, annoyance …and DELETE. It's such a waste of a game. Make ANY ANIMALS an OPTION- not a REQUIREMENT. Thank you. Miss LC in SF Ps – we have always had dogs. Our breed of choice: Labrador Retriever. Current: Chocolate- "Megan". Best Dog ever. Just not in our games…lol.

We are enjoying this game with our little panda friend. Im failing in finding all the crystals, but the games are solvable. We do like the elevator feature. Just wish the crystals werent so hard to find. Key West Jessa.

Worth the sale price, even if BF are a bunch of scumbags.

Having fun with this one. Enjoy.

Good long game with a different twist to the storyline. Graphics and special effects were impressive. Lots of hidden object scenes, some of which were repeated. Puzzles were challenging at times and thought provoking. Collectibles were crystals – which you really need to look closely in the different scenes. We found the game Very enjoyable with interactive aspects to it. Well worth picking this one up! Definitely has adventure and some suspense to it. The developers did a Good Job! Play & Enjoy – you will get your moneys worth on this one. Thank You Big Fish especially for going back to releasing 2 New games a week for us IPad users. We all could use more games. KdBoots P.S. No glitches were experienced.

Words are way too tiny on iPhone.

The refresh rate states that it is 10 seconds, but it seems to us, to take much longer. Otherwise, we thoroughly playing this game.

Hours of enjoyable play but some puzzles refused to work. Like the train you tell how to move but it always goes right across the bottom row and crashes. So we had to skip some puzzles but enjoyed the rest. Im about to play the second bonus game.

We loved this game from Grandma Studios. They rarely release games, but when they give us one, its both beautiful and lengthy! You could customize settings, as well as the difficulty levels of the mini-games. The graphics were colorful and gorgeous and detailed, although the clarity wasnt perfect. The cut-scenes were exciting to watch. There was a journal of sorts to collect notes and an excellent and detailed task list. Objectives were regularly updated. The storyline, which was a twisted tale of greed and the legend of King Midas, was easy to follow. There was a back button, so no accidental back tapping to a prior location! You were given an adorable red panda (or raccoon) helper to reach certain items. In the bonus adventure you didnt have the panda but you had a book of magical spells. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. Inventory usage was extremely easy because you didnt have to drag and drop inventory tools; you click on the tool and the area to apply it and it works perfectly. There were tons of locations to unlock and an excellent teleport map to transport you instantaneously between them. At each location you must collect 2 crystals. There was a side tab to acknowledge how many you had collected. If you find them all (and some are very well hidden), you may then complete a mini-game in the extras section and you get a second little bonus adventure, in addition to a lengthy game with a bonus adventure of its own. At each location there was a plethora of tasks to complete. The HO scenes had some variety, although most were word lists; however you were given an alternate match-3 game as well. There was a large selection of puzzles/games. Some were rotational, others were of skill and dexterity and still others were codes and a labyrinth; in short there was something for everyone and every skill level. This was an older game which we wouldnt really call out-dated but more so good straightforward gameplay; it might have been a bit old-fashioned but we enjoyed it more than many of our recent offerings. Our true rating is 4.5 stars. We deducted a half star only because we experienced some minor touchscreen sensitivity issues while trying to manipulate certain mini-games. We wish we would get more games from this developer. BigFish, this was a fantastic game and well worth the price! Please can you arrange for Grandma Studios to develop more games for our enjoyment? Thanks! Happy gaming, everyone! UPDATE: Artifex Mundi will (or should) release Queens Quest 4 on April 26th. This is an excellent series so it gives us something to be grateful for next Friday! So next week will hopefully be a 3 game week. We dont know when Five BN Uk is releasing the sequel to Legacy but hopefully we will get that soon as well.

Upon realizing that this game was released for PC/MAC back in 2015, we had skepticism about what this game would offer. Even though it is a bit outdated, it still presents pleasant surprises. The familiarly conveyed storyline follows the clich of saving a loved one after a mysterious disappearance; however, the commonplace storyline is elevated by unique artwork, as well as a plethora of amusing interactions within the environments. The quality of the graphics is second rate; the visuals are fuzzy, lacking clarity of details. The characters you meet along the way have distinct personalities, exhibiting emotional behaviors and movement, rather than standing still, like cardboard figures. We got a kick out of the bartender, as he suddenly darts towards you in breakneck speed, starting a fight. Your Notebook records snippets of acquired reading materials. You can check your updated active and completed tasks the paper symbol located on the lower left-side corner. The adventure portion of gameplay is straightforward and linear. You are aided by a companion, but we won't ruin your sake of discovery. The assorted, and sometimes multi-layered, HOSs are attractively depicted, as exhibited by the embellishing items used to complement the storyline. Unfortunately, scenes are revisited, which is a sure sign of an outmoded game. The highlights of this game are the smart puzzles that demonstrate clever interactions suited to meeting your objectives. One option under custom settings is the ability to configure the mini-games to be harder kudos to the developers for providing this extra layer of challenge. The collectibles comprise finding multiples of a singular object within each scene; a side pull-out indicator will track your status as you progress. After checking our review from the last game which was also outdated at the time in this series, we remember feeling left with a favorable impression, thus resulting in a high rating. Our impression of this game is similar. We would have liked the level of difficulty to be elevated. There are a multitude of tasks to complete within the many scenes to explore, so you will be kept busy. We did not experience any glitches. Therefore, we rate this game a solid four stars.

This would be a five but the dialogue is SO SMALL its hard to read. Otherwise its quite a nice offering from grandma studios. Finding crystals in every location (they have a tab to let you know how many you have found). Its decently long – nice change from some of the recent offerings.

We are not impressed. Why are allll the games sold by this game co. (BFG) so darned corny, filled with darkness and gloom, are depressing and uninspiring !? Also tired of boxes and doors as main obstacles along with inappropriately placed obstacles that aren't realistic. Need some modern day detective games with uplifting goals. The graphics are all similar also. Sadly we won't buy, even on sale.

Im in chapter 4, not even halfway done with the game, and it crashes completely once we make the mirror.

Couldnt see anything the text and print was to small.

We only played the trial and thought it was pretty good, except the sound doesnt work correctly. You can turn the sound down, but it stays very loud.

One star because Big Fish is greedy. But the game is terrific.

Wow please don't waste your money on this. It's an old game and a poor one at that. We don't mind old just don't advertise it as new premium when it's clearly not. Might be the worse game we've played. We buy at least 3 to 5 games a week from big fish…..They should be ashamed of this and a 4.5 rating, no way, think that is a lie as well. You have been warned. Oh yeah and u need a magnifying glass as well.

When we set all sound options to 0, we expect the volume to be off, not booming loud like this game. Deleting.
