Community Insight:
Not one to write reviews, but love this game! If youre looking for that old school feel, this has you covered. Great replayability. Gorgeous music. Everyone should check it out! Rare among other iPhone titles. For the longest time we avoided purchasing it. And we are glad we finally did! Great throwback title honestly. Graphics are also too notch. Only complaint is the ridiculous RNG. Thats our only complaint though.
We feel like this is possibly one of Game Stews best games. Its like an improved version of ToF2. Nearly everything about it is perfect. Its a bit short and easy are our only complaints.
Love the collect ability aspect of the game, as you build up and customize your team. The grammar is off a little, but makes for some really interesting phrases. Love Game Stew, cant wait to see what they come up with next.
You guys always make the best games, we hope to make a more thorough review once we put in a bunch of hours playing the game :-) we still can't believe how amazing your tower of fortune games are! They are still our favorite out of all iOS games.
Cant say enough about the devs! They fixed the iPhone X big in less than 24 hours. The game plays great now and is already our favorite game they have made. If you like Game Stew games this is a no brainer. Get this game.
Ive been playing Game Stew games since the first Tower of Fortune back in 2013. Ive bought ever single game, and theyre all so charming in their own ways. The concepts, the stories, the character/monster designs, the art styles, the colors (or lack of colors), the gameplay, and more is unique different every single time. Hell Raider is no exception. In fact, Id say Hell Raider has our favorite sprites, backgrounds and monsters out of any Game Stew title. Maybe even any title. We think we just really love the futuristic city vibe mixed with the ancient culture (specifically Japanese culture). It all feels very vaporwave and we cant get enough of it. Whats funny is, thats the problem for us – we wish players were able to explore the world more throughly! Mainly the City of Dead. A Tower of Fortune 3 styled map of the city where you can visit different plazas and buildings and such. Neon signs and and ghosts floating through Maybe even Gods being praised as though they were celebrities. More named locations and characters to interact with. Hell Raider already has a very vibrant and unique world, and we were hoping we would be able to explore it more when we first saw the city. We wish we could get to know the various gods better, see the Machine God riot in person, see Oni fighting Machines in the street, that kind of stuff. That, besides slightly subpar grammar, is the only problem we have with the game. Its not as immersive as it could be, but otherwise, its great. We cant wait for whatever you guys come up with next. Ill always be willing buy high-quality content, and this is some of the highest quality mobile gaming there is. Keep up the great work :).
In some of GameStews other games there was incorrect grammar here or there, but in this one its all over the place. It seems sloppy and impacts the playing experience for us. Its hard to ignore.
Just what we have come to expect from Game Stew! Always innovative, always a treat.
Just downloaded this game. Can not play this game on iPhone XS Max. Not registering touches, and oddly enough, the screen overlaps the screen and we can't see all the text either. Please help.
