Community Insight:
Just a vast departure from the other games.
Great game by a great developer.
This game drags you through garbage luck and obnoxiously slow game play. This is a walking simulator with some cheaty odds slots thrown in to be extra lame. Ive played all four and this is no better than the last attempt.
Im enjoying the adventure. Not expecting much but very much impressed. We find our self reaching to play it all through the day.
Great if you liked the others in the series. It has some changes to make it different but largely functions the same. Colorful graphics and not too grindy as some of the developers other games are. Even has a cool post game dungeon. Now how do we unlock Ending Q, we wonder.
An interesting evolution to the previous installations; may be off-putting to some, but we appreciate the creative direction.
Pretty much awful. Everything that made the others fun and interesting is gone and is just bleh. Its like someone saw screenshots and nothing else and just rolled with itand failed badly.
We played ToF 2. You hit it out of the park with that. ToF 4 is such a big step backwards.
Pretty good game, hope the tower has random stuff.
We like the mellow pace of this fun slot machine rpg. Its good for playing as a second screen when youre watching something else. Great lore and character design.
This is the first Tower of Fortune game Ive paid for (ToF 2 and 3 were free). For $3 we guess we were expecting some QoL improvements. Sure there are more levels but the game is just as cryptic. A large part of the game included replaying levels that increase enemy health and damage, yet you cant skip the 20 second level intros, cant speed up the slow battle speed or transitions, skip game over animations, etc. Also, the 60fps animations from 3 were way better than these. Its still a good series but Id recommend ToF 3 or 2. The gameplay is the exact same and you wont miss anything, and they dont cost anything.
Compared to past ToF installments, we found this game lacking overall. We completed the story and have gotten the "Best Ending." Here are our pros and cons compared to Tower of Fortune 3 Pros -prettier than ToF3 – greater emotional connection to the characters via various animations – more simple than ToF3 -fair price Cons -lack of text/dialogue made the story and character generally uninteresting/confusing. – too easy/simple for our personal taste. -we personally had a hard time getting the armor/weapons we wanted -while the art style was pretty, we preferred the style in ToF3 -low replayability. After beating the main story once, we only "100%'d" the game due to commitment to the series and boredom at work. -No random events. This was a huge turn-off for us. -no rage/beast mode in combat. This was a huge turn-off for us. There are other small things we disliked and liked about the game, but overall, we felt this game left much to be desired as compared to ToF3, which we loved. While an overall good game for the price, we were honestly hoping for more. We're hoping for better things in the future! Love this series! Bugs -sometimes, collectables stay on the screen after collecting them -you can double tap the random prompts and activate them two to three times, depending on how quick you tap them.
