But this isn't what scared the citizens… Children started to disappear in the city. All of them drew exactly the same butterflies before they disappeared. What dark secrets are hidden in the underground tunnels? Will the main character manage to solve the challenging task and save the ones who disappeared?

This game is great for people who love mystery, puzzle games with a great story attached. We love the way you have to figure out things on your own in order to move on through the story.

We played it all the way through the end including the bonus chapter and was very compelled throughout. Thanks guys! Im excited to play the next ones. Ive been playing Lost Lands as well, so its nice to have some parallels. The only critique we have is that the puzzles are too small in the frames. It would be nice if they became page sized. We really have to squint sometimes. We appreciate having the clues on paper or things we need to remember kept in a journal. We didnt mind spending money on the hints because they helped us through.
A good plot line, not tons of reading, puzzles mixed with search and find. Optional hints (for purchase with coins, but not egregious). Worth many hours of puzzle fun.
By far our favorite of all the mystery/detective games! Great story line, definitely use your brain to figure out some parts.

Five BN games are our favorite! The first of the New York Mysteries is an absolutely wonderful game. We meet Laura and Mr. Bishop in their first adventure. The hardest part for us is finding what we need to advance the story and game. Where did this key go? How do we use the lightbulb? We usually can figure it out, but if we are truly stumped, we can use a hint. We like that feature. We try not to use it, but it is there. Then there are the puzzles – the best part. Graphics are excellent, and the animated clips are a very fun way to advance the story. Thank you.
This game offers an enjoyable gaming experience. We have previously played it on a Macintosh computer and acquired it from BigFish Games. While it is compatible with Mac Silicon, it does not support full-screen display. However, in the event of an extended flight on our iPad, we would find this game to be an excellent means of entertainment and time-passing.

There was great thought put into this game on all aspects. Putting together the clues and solving the puzzles takes a lot of serious thought. Nothing about this is random. You really need to focus on everything. That is what separates this from other like games. This is the only game of its kind that we have played where the plot and progression is not spoon fed to you. Very intriguing story that makes you want to see it through. You need to be smart or your going to spend a lot of money as the hints cost a lot of money in relation to the fact that they are very subtle. We think the real challenge here is to get through the whole game spending as little money as possible. The key word is challenge. We believe the creators have issued this challenge without saying so, but the way the game is set up you can get through it without spending a lot of money. Be warned, you need to be really sharp on your feet to do so. Download and play the game and see if you are up for the challenge.
Its a great game with a great storyline! This game makes you think and yes some of the puzzles could be difficult but it makes you not want to give up and when you finally get it you feel accomplished! We love it.

This game has so many things to find in order to uncover other things, etc. Its hard to keep it all in your head.

This was this first of many Five-BN games and we fell in love, we played this game three or four times before we even knew there were more, and different varieties of the same caliber of games is amazing from Lost Lands, to Darkness and Flame unlike most games Ive played, just please keep them coming.

This game is by far THE BEST adventure mystery game we have ever played. There were no ads, no energy refills needed, and the puzzles were so challenging and fun! The storyline and visuals were also very good. Thank you for an amazing game, we couldnt put down! Please dont change a thing.
We have played every New York mysteries games and we absolutely love them. We are hopeful for a 6th one. Mad props to the creators of this series. These games are literally the best Ive ever played.
This game is a cut above anything Ive ever seen before. Its graphics are classic, the games are challenging but not too hard that it annoys you, the logic is perfectly clear, the gameplay and mechanics are planned out perfectly, and the story is truly riveting to be a part of. It pulls you in and grabs you by the cajones. 10 out of 10.
Thank you devs for this amazing game! We could not put our iPad down we would stay up to play this. There were no ads, the game took actual effort, the mini games were challenging but enjoyable, the puzzles were challenging but enjoyable as well. The cut scenes were so good. Man this exceeded our expectations so much and its free! The story with the mafia and the kids was amazing then the bonus content was fun too we thought it would be a short tease of the next game but it wasnt it was its own full side quest, loved it! Will definitely get more apps from this dev team. We will play this whole game again just to get all the challenges completed with the phantom objects and etc lol.
Absolutely love this games and other games from this developer. The games are engaging, difficult at times which we like, but theres also easy puzzles too. We really like how they tell the story to you as you go along. We prefer that vs reading the story. We get more out of how immersive the animated story telling is. Ive done all 5 of this series they were that good. You dont need to do in order but we recommend. Also, no silly ads that interrupt the story. You get 5 hints and then youre off to play. You can purchase more if you like. Ill take no hints and ad free any day! Developer(s): Well done with your games! Please make more games in this series.
Great game!! Loved all the puzzles. Best game Ive played in a while.
We love playing the game BUT we also hate that when your playing one of the puzzle games you either solve it or youre just stuck on that level. We get that its for us to use our brains but sometimes we be so over it trying to figure it out and just wanna skip it so we can move on. BUT if you dont complete it then you just stuck on the level or whatever and it can get really frustrating because we really do like playing the game. Maybe there should be an option to skip for a small penalty or at least a couple of free hints should load after so long or something like that just saying. Im stuck on a puzzle so Ill just give the game a small break and try again another time in the meantime Ill just download or play something else.
The game is super interesting but it wouldnt let us use the knife on the rope in the boat when we know thats what youre supposed to do.
Found game annoying in trying to get from one small place to another and needing money in order to do so with coins, rubies or whatever cute method is used. This can add up to a small fortune for even one game. We like spending a flat fee for for a game that offers hints and guides but not at a premium price. We are disappointed and angry at this price gouging and feel these companies are hooking customers in and charging a lot of money. That being said, we wont be buying any of the above coins, rubies, games and our advise is to companies is to keep it simple and affordable. We may be one person in hundreds who mind paying but wanted to add our thoughts. C. Mathas.
This is a very fun game. We give this 3 stars, as Im not impressed with them trying to charge for coins. If you want the answers to the puzzles without having to pay, go on YouTube. We refuse to buy from them. We suggest the company charge for the actual game if they want money, not try to scheme people.
We love these games, but we hate that they turn off our music when we play them. That is our biggest complaint. If we could play Spotify and New York mysteries, it would be spectacular. Instead its disappointing. The main reason we stop playing these games is because it shuts off whatever music Im listening to.
Greatly enjoyed this detective/puzzle game. Got stuck when a map (to be used on the last room of the third tunnel) was unable to be assembled properly. Bug? Couldnt proceed and was forced to end our attempts. Still a great game.
This was an excellent game to play and usability was well done. We did forget some of our location jump backs but watching an ad to get a hint was easy enough. We like very much that if we were stuck we were able to earn points to skip a puzzle. We liked the variety of the stories and the challenges were just right. A deserved five stars.
A great combination of puzzles and hidden item. We did buy $5 worth of hints, but mostly bc the story locations jump around and we tend to forget where certain puzzles are. 100% recommended.

We struggle with depression and anxiety in this game, help us center ourselves, and relax ourselves to where we wasnt constantly thinking and constantly worrying. We really enjoyed the hidden objects and using your eyes and then also the little mind challenging puzzles that you have to figure out and put together with everything else within the ply of the game. Best game ever.

We loved the game and especially the puzzles. Some puzzles are challenging which is okay and enjoyed. The only con is that once we find an object, we would have a hard time finding what to do next with the objects found. For example, the ghost lake part, we struggled a few times on where to tap the found object to what area. Like the diving suit. We had to use a few hints. We really enjoyed the game though. Thanks.
We have completed all four of the NY mystery series and am now working through the Lost Land series. They are all great stories with a few really tough puzzles. Ive not been able to complete any yet without checking YouTube for hints. Ive found it helps to keep a notepad showing which items are still open from each room, because as we progress through the rooms we forget where some things are located.
Im just about to start the game for the second time. Ive played most of the games made by this company and we absolutely love every single one of them. The images are so high quality, the puzzles are comprehensive yet fun, and the storyline is amazing. We love New York Mysteries 1-4.
