Amazing team behind Mad Head – diligent about fixing glitches and so responsive and the series itself is spectacular!

What a masterpiece!! Mad Head Games has taken their gaming to a level that just cannot be rivaled. The thought and talent that went into this series is a joy to play and behold! Everyone else better step their productions up if they ever want a chance to compete with this! Just, WOW.

This game is one of the best games that we’ve ever played. And we’ve played many many games. It compares to the award winning game called The Room. This games ranks up there with that game in its true innovative unique addicting qualities. We LOVE this game its excellent. Make more please!!!!

This game crashes every time we start it. Running or should we say crashing on iPad2 with iOs 9.35. No other games open and still crashes.

We loved this game! Its actually a mystery instead of a bunch of things all lumped together. You don’t go back and forth. You don’t go to the same place you been to find something. You don’t get a screwdriver use it and then the next time you need one,you need to find another one. Its GREAT!

Moe da se provede ceo vikend uivajui, fenomenalno, bravo prijatelji!!! :)

Mad Head Games has been our favorite HOPA developer for years and we really glad that they went down the self publishing role. Adam Wolfe is another masterpiece with great narrative and brilliant graphics. If you want to awake Sherlock Holmes in you give this game a try!

Quick update: New Eventide 2 game released from Artifex Mundi – on sale for a short period of time! Free trial!! Great concept, good voiceovers and nice twist to the standard adventure/HOG type games. For those who didn’t like the amount of dialog and video in Beyond: Light Advent, you probably won’t like this game. The focus is more on the story rather than the puzzles and hidden objects. You can fast forward the dialog if you want though. The Good: really original concept. We bought all four episodes as soon as the trial was done. Each episode will normally cost $4, but if you buy the bundle, it’s $3 each. Great voice acting in this game. Transportable map which shows where actions are needed. This is important because although there is a guide button, clicking it took us to the App Store where it looks like there is a separate strategy guide which is not yet available. Luckily the game is fairly linear so not a lot of hand holding was needed (at least for the first episode). The bad: no built-in strategy guide. Rather long loading times to start the game – however once the game and the chapter was loaded, scene changes and transitions took place quickly. The ugly: nothing here. Try the trial and enjoy!

We’re enjoying this Adam Wolfe series. Very creative, very dark-comic book; great atmosphere. There is a lot of narrative, and that makes the storyline and immersion that much richer. We purchased the 4 pack, but we’re still in the first of the series. Two things about it that are different enough that you should be warned, and one weird thing (I deducted a for them) 1. Because of the very tight narrative/storyline, the player doesn’t get a chance to choose questions or actions, so it is a very linear game; 2. There is an emphasis on the story, so if you like to play a lot of minigames, you may not feel like you’re getting much "playtime" as you’re progressing. And the last is that there is a weird vibe about his closeness to his sister and the dream sequences. We’re sure we missed something at the beginning (I started the game at the airport), but it just felt odd. We recommend it, though… It’s really good and different.

Adam Wolfe is such a great storyline! Best game we have played in a long time! We couldn’t put it down!! Absolutely worth every dollar for all 4 installments. Can’t wait for the other episodes to come out! Great job Mad Head Games!! These are the types of games we love be to play! Adam and the other characters draw you into their world & intrigue! Brilliant!

Wow just Wow this is a great game from our favorite developer Awesome graphics, great and fun storyline and l think lm in the other world with this game really enjoy this game can’t wait to see more from mad head games.

Hey guys, we have a trouble, the board in the room is unusable. We’ve touch it everywhere, reset the progress 2 times and nothing it still unusable! What’a wrong??

Masterful in every way. The storytelling, the graphics, the super-professional voice actors/actresses, the map system we dont like to oversell games with an over-the-top review, but this is perhaps THE best game we have ever played twice and counting. To the brilliant writers, programmers, designers, and everyone at Mad Head Games BRAVO!

Really fun game. Have completed a chapter so far, and in the middle of the next. Great graphics and works on M1 MacBook for anyone wondering.

Once we started, we couldnt put it down. We recommend this if you like a point and click game that will engage your mind. The guide is now included if you get stuck.

We also really liked this game. Bought the set and was able to play 1-3 more than once. Cannot replay 4. Since we purchased the full set we would like to know why.

Come back to re play this game and its making us pay again!!! We can see our achievements from the last time but must pay second time. This is wrong.

We have played tons of hidden object games from different devs and these are the best we have played! The voice acting is phenomenal, the story engaging and the artwork beautiful. The games are hard enough to keep it interesting but not frustrating. And although they are basically the same styles of games we’ve played they have subtle nuances that make them unique. Totally worth $9 and we are hoping this dev comes out with more games like this, we will buy them all. We just wish they were longer since we enjoyed them so much.

It has enough to keep you engaged, not too hard, not too easy. Not too many games of its kind out there. We got the entire set at one time. Id recommend it, youll enjoy it, if your a fan of point and click adventure!

Very beautiful, but it can be hard to figure out what to do next. And you have to download a walk through separately. Decent length over all, but individually each chapter wasn’t that long. Especially wouldn’t have been worth it, had we not got such a great deal on all chapters! But interesting, and definitely different than the normal HO’s or adventure games!

Okay so we were really into this and the story was entertaining too and we were waiting for the big twist at the end but then…. Spoilers ahead It literally ends with the cops running in and no real resolution??? Like… Guys… If youre gonna take the time to make a brilliant and beautiful game like this, give it the ending it deserves.

Some puzzles are ridiculously difficult or hard to understand the reasoning of movement.

So some people are complaining the price is too high for this app, but we don’t think less than $10 is bad at all for a very beautiful, high quality story game like this. (Check the App Store for a full version that’s cheaper than unlocking it with the demo) This is definitely one of big fishes better looking and more complex games. There is a lot more variation in gameplay — HOP, puzzles, fight scenes, car chases, etc. The score and voice acting adds a layer of depth that most HOP don’t have, and we appreciated that a lot. Each chapter is not too long but we think the price was ok for several hours of fun gameplay with substance, instead of a longer game without much heart. I’d definitely play a sequel if Mad Head ever makes one.

Mad Head Games, you are on point! Very fun! Had to do all 4 episodes on a Sunday. We usually don’t play with sound, but this time, it was worth it! Thank you!

Intriguing storyline with believable characters. An adventure game like no other. Totally impressed with the uniqueness of this game. There is so much to see & do, explore & immerse yourself into the story. This is so enjoyable and very hard to put down! Buy the series and enjoy! A huge thank you to the developers, KdBoots.

This game has a good story. Very few HOPs. Different challenges. You can’t skip or get hints, so it makes you think and keep trying.

Absolut lay love this game! Excellent story line and superb graphics! Highly recommended!

We’re an avid HOG gamer and we have a huge library of a lot of these games from various developers. A fellow gamer IZZYOC had referred this game and we’re glad they did! This is a very unique hidden object game. It’s a bit of a point and click game without the annoying click here to make your guy move. Your a Paranormal investigator and the local police call on you when strange things start to happen in the city.. There is a few different Chapters and our suggestion is to pay for them all at once. It’s $11.99 for 4 or 4 different games in one and each one is pretty long. If you buy separate you’ll pay $4.99 a piece. The graphics are great, clear, nothing isn’t to hard to find. There isn’t any morphing objects or collectibles thus far.(I’m 1/4 way through the first game or chapter. If we find any ill let y’all know.) Great voice acting, story keeps you intrigued. You do have a journal and a map. You also have a hint system if you get stuck. What we don’t like though is that if your in need of a "Walk thru" you have do download a different app for that. It should be in the game, not a totally different place. This is why we’re giving this game a 4.5 stars! But we have to put 4 stars up top. For now at least. Back to the game.

Played all 4 parts, awesome! Please, please tell us it’s not over. There has to be a 5th episode!!! It can’t end this way…………..

Finished the last episode and it was fantastic! Great job mad head! Please bring us some more! We’ll be anxiously waiting! Update for 2nd & 3rd episodes: The first was awesome and good length. The 2nd was very short but added more excitement to the story, just really short! Then the 3rd, again a great addition to the story but extremely short! Not many puzzles in the 3rd, some HO throughout but wow short! We paid a total of $12$ for the game so we expected a bit longer episodes! They pull you in with the first one but the next two are half as long. Still enjoyed it. We anxiously await the final chapter but hope they make it as long as the first! Go out with a bang! Amazing! It was our first time seeing Mad Head Games put out a game without it being brought to us thru big fish and we were immediately interested! They’ve gone above and beyond any prior games BF put out for them! A new experience all together! We can’t wait for the rest of the episodes and already did a pre purchase! We played for hours completely thru the game! We’re super excited to see the next episodes story! Just unremarkable folks! A must buy here! Do not miss this one!

We love this game. Great storyline and graphics. We only suggest that you buy the whole package because it is cheaper that way and the episodes are too short otherwise!! We beat all four in one day!!

Exactly the kind of game we were looking for. There are so few really good adventure games out there. This is a good one. A little bit short but still worth every penny.

Update after completion of Episodes 2 and 3: Since our original review was submitted after playing Episode 1 and is very detailed, we will keep this continuation very brief. Throughout both of Episodes 2 and 3, we revisit our protagonist detective, Adam Wolfe, as he is introduced to brand-new, distinct, spine-tingling, and minacious paranormal cases; in addition, both episodes brilliantly achieve essences of beguiling, allure, and wonderment with regards to the ingenious originality of context and idea. This is one of the few series of this genre that has wholly captured our attention and absorbed us into its environment where we feel as though we have been transported to/within an actual television series. The only negative point is that the episodes are very short for the price when you consider the amount of playtime; it is still a very rewarding and satisfying way to spend your time though. Original review from on or about October 9, 2016, as follows: This game combines the stylistic elements of Film Noir, one of the most intriguing genres of film, with traits of dark and supernatural fantasy; elevated levels of bustling and action-packed suspense are highlighted, together with sentiments of anticipation and unease. This game contains appropriate, distinct characteristics related to this genre: 1. Gloomy, oppressive setting; low-key lighting: The gritty, raw setting takes place within the city limits, which gives it an urban edge. This is detailed through appropriate imagery, such as the typical shadowy and night-time scenes of the corrupt underworld; murky, dark, and claustrophobic underground tunnels; and dimly-lit, low-budget apartments. 2. Obsession with the past/flashbacks: From the outside, you appear as a mellow, cool-cat paranormal specialist who is in pursuit of a mysterious, demonic entity with a ubiquitous, supernatural ability to set fire upon everything it touches; however, pessimism casts its shadow as you are haunted by disturbing nightmares arising from the guilt and desperation you feel over the disappearance of your sister. 3. Voiceover narration, a hallmark of Film Noir: A distinct feature is the heavy emphasis on diction to enhance the story and build on the protagonist’s contemplations; narrative techniques are rendered through two temporal movements: "real time", in which events are currently unfolding and "remembered" time, which gives the player a premonition of what has occurred in the past with a flashback. 4. Unconventional, skewed, wide angles: Bands of action scenes come into view in distorted sequences and are positioned adjacent to each other from all angles; your thoughts are sometimes conveyed as visual fragments of comic strips at times. There is an uncommon, intermittent shift in perspective, from a first-person point of view to a third-person point of view, as you visually see yourself interact within the environment at times. The graphics are impressive with clear, sharp, and precise attention to detail; the colors consist of darker shades to achieve a gloomy, ill-boding ambiance. You are gifted with a paranormal ability of sight, but we won’t ruin your sake of discovery. The game is complimented by realistic and technological elements, such as a cell phone that functions as an authentic device with a hands-on approach as you receive incoming calls and snap and send photos. You will use intuitive gestures that are unfamiliar to the vast majority of players, such as sliding and manipulating objects in lieu of tapping them. You can customize your settings. Inventory is labeled, interactive, and puzzle-like. The map permits fluid transport to labeled locations and indicates objectives. The HOS are very informative as you gain insight into the backstory; many times, you will identify items in accordance with narration. The puzzles are suitable to the theme; one such example is when you use a forensics kit to take fingerprints using relative tools. Transition is smooth and brisk; no glitches. The gameplay implements light inventory usage and sparse HOS; there’s not much to do in each location. It also highlights heavy narration and steady action; many players might not appreciate this structure as it deviates from the traditional HOA format. We appreciate a free demo to be afforded the opportunity to discover what a game has to offer. We enjoy the clever and rare twists on gameplay that separate Madhead from other leaders in the field; we suggest you give this one a well-deserved chance. We did deduct a star because the length is fairly short.

Have only finished part 1. Regretted having bought all episodes, even at a discount.

Excellent story line and graphics, however constantly crashes. Very disappointed!!!

No need to do a full review here. We bought it based on KimTwilight and IZZYOC’s recommendations. We would be echoing what they said. There’s no strategy guide but you can view a video walkthrough on YouTube. We paid for the bundle but it was expensive for the length of the game. We will tell you this. This game was more like a crime novel but it was interesting. At least it was something different!
