We have to say Ive done a few different stories and Im still learning how to use the app but you can write. Its a pretty cool things on your turn if you would like or go on with the story its almost like a pick a path to adventure but youre really picking your own path actuallytyping your own path.
So this game is incredible. We're a huge DnD and RPG games fan and we've always wanted the power to create a truly tailored adventure where your decisions truly shape the story. THIS GAME IS IT. We've had so much fun creating stories and playing through scenarios its actually insane. Sometimes the AI responds slow (which can be fixed with a quick reset) or the AI will repeat certain phrasing but we've played 3-4 stories pretty far through now and not seen too much of it. For us right now this game is 9/10 but devs are very involved and we're sure this could be an easy 10 with time.
We personally love this app! Iv always been into the text style adventures before AI became a big thing! But this AI Text adventure is so amazing!! We also love how you can create your own scenarios for other people to play! We have created a few of our own and we love logging on everyday to see how many people have played the scenarios we have created!! Ill give this App a 9/10 the only thing that we dont always enjoy is sometimes the AI goes in circles about situations that are happening and doesnt always progress the story further. So Id say the AI needs just a little tune up on that to make it 10/10!! Also its a 100% worth subscribing to one of the tiers it definitely makes it better!! Also this is our first actual review of an App, thats how much we love it.
All of the stories, the AI, the option to create our own are all incredible. Great job guys, keep up the good work.
Honestly this is the most fun we have had reading it brings our imagination to life we pay for the cheapest subscription and we feel that we get our moneys worth we spend hours in worlds and characters we created to life one minute Im in a bg3 world the next Im in cyber punk there is no limit to what we can create if there is we havent found it yet.
So we are updating our original review since its been a few years and AID has improved A LOT since then. Sure there are still bugs and such, but its a fun game, either web or app.
This is the first review we have ever written, but this has quickly become our favorite game for our phone. We have played a lot of phone games over the years, and we wasnt sure how we would like this one. This we like playing DnD but without any of the tedious rules. Your imagination is the limit. A choose your own adventure story you get to write.

When we tap on the app it opens for like a second then sends us back to the Home Screen.
We're sign in and when we make a story it works after awail it sings us out and tell us to sign it and we were a ready sign in and stuff need bug fixs.
We like the idea of Dungeons and Dragons and have always wanted to play. With 3 young kids and a full time job, we really dont have the time, energy, or friend group to get into it. This is app is a nice stand in for someone like us. Its a really neat idea and we will continue using it for the foreseeable future.
We had downloaded this app awhile ago and completely forgot to even open it. Today we were deleting apps and decided to try it once before getting rid of it. The story choices were numerous but some were vaguer than others so we ended up not liking our first choice..but when we chose again something we were sure we would enjoy we were so surprised how amazing this app is! You create your choice in the story and if the AI continues it and it is extremely clever with how it works with you. We were so shocked we're hoping it inspires us to write a novel.
Love it im in Shadow Slave right now but the ai uses its own thinking more than our instructions but we can change the plot ot us will so its ok.
It's a wonderful game buuuuut DEVS PLEASE FIX THE BLACK SCREEN WHEN we SCROLL IN THE MAKE A CHARACTER THINGIE IT'S GETTING REALLY ANNOYING we HAVE TO CONSTANTLY RELOAD THE GAME JUST TO DO ONE CHAT THAT PROLLY WON'T LAST AT ALL.
IMO this is the best ai chatbot out there, there is so much more to this than a regular one on one conversation. Its impressive to us how many characters, locations and plot devices the ai would just create, remember and even tie into the overarching story, though it does get confused a good bit it is still very capable of taking you through whatever kind of story you want. Honestly this also seems like the only ai chatbot that is used for more than just nsfw things so you can use it without judgement lol. But at the end of the day, if youre anything like us and tend to work or go along with your day while listening to audiobooks or read stories but always wonder what couldve happened if this or that had been different, then this is what youve been looking for.
If you like story telling and love LLMs, this will be great. Its not perfect and it is pricy, it if you are ok with that, 5 stars.
It has great detailing capabilities but its characters are often the same like we still enjoy this a lot.
Its actually a pretty good app, but its very buggy sometimes.
We want to give this 5 star but we cant the because the bookmarking works but its not perfect sometimes it glitches saying its bookmarked when its not an the main issue Im having when making a custom character an we swipe up to view options it just black screens if those got fixed we would in fact give this 5 star.
We are a new user and just recently downloaded this but ran into an issue. When we try to enter a playable scenario, it takes a super long time to load the scenario. Idk if it has to do with app storage or WiFi but we hope theres a way to remedy this.
Would be 5 stars if we could make our own base story instead of starting out in what feels like the middle of a story with very little background.
Sometimes the ai refers to us as the person in the story when the ai is supposed to be the person or the chat becomes randomly filtered even though all our chats are pg. And sometimes they have horrible memory.
We love this app the only problem we have is the AI not being able to remember the details we type in. Ill say something about an object being red then later it will say its blue. Stuff like that.
The screen on the game goes black on experiences with too many questions or answers. Example: What is your race? (20 answers) scrolls <screen turns black>.
It would be a 5 star app if not for the fact that the AI tends to actually forget the characters it creates. During the Thief story, it would constantly forget who we met and their descriptions. Along with previous interactions. While it responded with some interesting things to our adjustments, there were far too many gaps. An example was our OC goes with their boss to a secret midnight meeting. There we meet a woman for the first time. Over the course of 2 in game days we separated and came back. Then at another point she references our first time meeting as years ago at her flower festival. So yeah. It needs some work on the consistency.
Its actually super fun and creative! The only reason Im doing four instead of five stars is due to a bug thats been occurring when you go to continue or quick play and the little menu to click continue remains on the screen, unable to close it ): if it doesnt happen for you though this is definitely worth playing.
This app is amazing. Plain and simple, you can play for hours and you can replay endlessly. But there's one thing we don't like, the ai will randomly make up details about you or write the actions for you. We were playing a Star Wars one and it randomly said we had a dead brother and tried putting us on a revenge quest, and on numerous occasions it has said that we say or do things that we didn't input. Also sometimes it will flat out ignore what we say and keep going with what was previously happening. But we really like the app. It's fun, and you have the option to retry what the ai responds with.
A lot of potential. Open ended, with community designed scenarios. Helps too that theres no limit on how much Im allowed to play. But we find that we spend more time fighting the AI to give sensible responses than we do actually playing.
We will start with we are on an iPhone 16e. We bought some credits in the past but never used them. We had 80 in the bank and decided to turn them into scales. We choose the options and press press get scales. After that the app completely licks up. It lets you spend money for a useless currency since we cant convert it.
The ai is constantly repeating the same thing over and over no matter how many times we refresh it.
We like it great storyline and the ai is great so smart and interesting but one problem we literally cant access anything because its in a infinite loop of loading its annoying and we have just redownloaded for third time but fun app.
Hey so out of curiosity does it have text read aloud option maybe for some other updates??? It really good app too.
We dont know what it is, the story will start off nice and youll do some cool things, get slightly sidetracked, then next thing you know the AI has changed up the entire story of several npcs and what they wield/do. Not to mention we took a rest after a battle, and when we woke up the entire story was different, it was 4 years down the line but also the next day, while also being a completely different timeline than anything that actually happened in the hourish we were playing before. The game is fun, for about an hour. Ive given it a shot several times over the course of a couple years, but maybe we just do AI wrong or need premium lol.
We love the story telling but we have been playing the same story over for a week and every time we leave a scene and move to the next characters do not remember the story or what happened and the names get mixed in the story is frustrating and annoying.
The worst part is how railroaded and scripted our own dialogue is. Offer less walls of text from the outset that decide what we already said. We hate that so much. Also we are not a lazy reader but condense and meter out the story beginnings in smaller bites.
We downloaded this app over a year ago and have had zero problems up to a month ago. Since then our app has deleted every one of our stories because of a log in glitch. After we get deep into a story, the app prompts us to log in (even though we are). After we log in again, it deletes our story. Then will start doing a log in loop where it will bring up that log in prompt over and over and over again. It will pop up, then go way, then up and so forth. We will change our review if this gets fixed. We genuinely love the app for what it is. It has given us endless hours of enjoyment.
So when we originally downloaded this app we were looking for something that was similar to getting prompts in D&D where you had to creatively find your way out of a situation. We quickly found ourselves getting more immersed into our own story but also quickly coming out of said story because the AI either parrots back to us whatever Im saying through a different character, constantly creates conflict, didnt stay within its own lore of the scenario and when we try to reel it back in we couldnt. Trying to get back on track was difficult. We tried an entirely different story and decided to create more information to tack on to it so we could possibly have a better time but no it was just the same.
The Concept is fun, but the software is constantly breaking and being basically useless with certain tasks. For example every time you try to make a scenario the pop up to make the scenario just doesnt leave.
Whenever we hit create scenario, the sub menu will not go away. Please fix this ASAP! We cant really enjoy this app when we literally cannot see anything! Also, the AI keeps defaulting our character to female for some reason. Other than that (and that annoying bug), this app is pretty good.
Great. Love it. We would also like more memory on character cards. Also, we would like more memory period for beginners.
We just wanna say that we absolutely love this app!! Its sooo much fun and has given us many ideas for the books Im writing! But yesterday, every single one of our adventures wont load! It only gets about 10% loaded and just stays that way, like it wont let us access any of our adventures at all! Ive tried closing out the app, deleting and redownloading, checking our internet, and a bunch of other things, but nothing works! We would love love LOVE if someone could fix this. Thanks.
Love it honestly but for some reason sometimes it losses the plot and we have to fix it.
We really like this and this app is extremely amazing however we have to constantly keep up with our items in the story summarization and its a hassle to keep up with Id just think itd be amazing if you added something to specially recollect your currency items armor etc. Thank you for reading.
Mostly when you try and play. It stops about a quarter of the way through on phone and we wait for 5 minutes and it doesnt work. Its still fun though but not with the bug.
Ai is forgetful and often confuses you with other characters. There is also no challenge, enemies are annoying at best and you can become a god with a single sentence. That doesnt mean you cant just role play but it becomes repetitive and boring. And to top it off we mean just look at the discover page.
Honestly, Im having a really fun time! There are a couple of inconsistencies in the story so that bothers us. But its ai so we cant expect it to be perfect or know what Im thinking. A lot of fun! Definitely hooked! Great for getting out of writers block.
Its so sick, its like reading a book and then you write the next page! One thing tho, it takes a while. But WOOOOOO.
The story cards are an amazing tool for world building and linking different locations, characters and factions. Need to explore more models but so far this is a fantastic create your adventure style story maker.
We love how it adapted the story to where we first cause chaos to us just daydreaming it all.
So many incredibly fun stories, we cant say enough good things, we highly recommend this app, its absolutely incredible.
