Community Insight:

Its pretty much HeroQuest with few minor differences. A perfect way to get that feeling when you cant get to the table for actual HQ play.

Well worth a couple bucks to get the extra content and support a wonderful game maker. You dont need to pay to enjoy all the content.

This scratches our HeroQuest itch. Not difficult to learn, and hard to put down. Im a huge fan.

Title says it all. Pay the $2. Its worth it.

Absolutely amazing game! So fun! Lots of dungeons you can download for free as well! 10/10.

Very entertaining game, great for killing time.

Like tabletop gaming, just as advertised Speaking of which, advertisements arent very obtrusive Nice job.

We like this game. The different classes are cool.

Easy on the mind. Fun and strategic. Limited ads. Very enjoyable.

Level up your characters, find treasure, board games movement, strategy ,,,, we absolutely love it.

Too bad we can have something like this for D&D.

This is a really good game and is almost exactly like a board game we loved in the 90s. Our only complaint is that Im color blind and its hard to distinguish the characters and health bars sometimes. It would be so bad on a larger screen, but a phone is hard.

This is exactly like that oh so great game by MB that is hard to find anymore with even more options. Thanks and keep up the greatness in this genre.

This game is everything we loved about the old 90s board game, and more! The user created dungeons are the absolute best idea ever! Only drawback is a couple of minor bugs, such as the Scroll of Speed not working, but its still playable.

Straightforward fun game but we just wish there was more.

The boardgame-style play is a lot of fun, resulting in many hours of enjoyed gameplay. We love the way this game has made fan creations available. So when youre done with the main content, you can explore what others have created. Believe us when we say, there is a lot out there to explore! Downside to that, is that the gameplay can get fairly repetitive over time. Even so, we find ourselves coming back to this game after periods of taking a break. The only reason this game does not earn five stars is the fact that there are still bugs in the game that have never been fixed. Most notably, scrolls of speed are broken, and certain weapons dont show graphically, so when you attack it looks like youre punching the monsters out. The black sword has that issue, and then maybe one more we think. Overall, this is an outstanding game that holds true to the simplicity of the original board game, while providing enough new content to keep old players interested.

We wasn't expecting much having never played one of these types of games before. But this is awesome. Challenging but not so much so that it's more stressful than fun. It reminds us a lot of HQ.

We like the gameplay, but you get 3, 10, or 15 levels of play, you build up your characters, but you cant use the gear build in any other dungeon unless you want to do the same one over and over again which gets boring fast. We would like it if the dungeons got harder and the gear got better, but we guess that wouldnt be like the board game. Maybe the next one.

It takes ten minutes of fumbling around for four characters to explore a dungeon level with six rooms. Then it seems you cant leave the dungeon and get your spells and hits back, buy new equipment with the treasure you found, and return to the dungeon, no, youre forced to go deeper and deeper until you either win or die, and thats not the sort of game we like. And somehow, while youre still in the dungeon, you can buy stuff from a blacksmith (we didnt see the blacksmith shop anywhere in the dungeon). Alright, theres a lot to like about the game, mostly in the details, but fundamentally we just wasnt interested the package.

Anything you find or win in a dungeon cannot be carried over to another dungeon. Every dungeon you restart with absolutely nothing. No gold. No equipment. F-That.

This is an entertaining game that has all of the nostalgic characters from Milton Bradleys tabletop classics! Plus a whole lot more! The quests challenge you to utilize the group to their greatest abilities! A dungeon crawl like no other.

Purchased a +1 to health ring, nothing happens. Health is still 4. No way to rest. Resting only happens between levels so if you get a bad roll on attack, you can't heal and can't finish the game. We have no idea where the positive reviews come from. The game is unplayable and useless. Also, there is no indication of dungeon difficulty in the included or downloadable quests. OMG the game closed because we answered a text, and lost hours of play, all gold and items. How insanely poorly designed.

For being free we are highly satisfied.

If you like HeroQuest it's perfect. 8 classes, great sagas.

Great game lots of fun simple yet complicated.

What can you say but good things about this reasonably priced game? Good graphics, Excellent iPad interface, Replay-ability, easy to save and quit at any time and go back to when you have a minute. We only have a few critiques and questions: 1) When the entire dungeon level is cleared out you should be able to push a button and send everyone to the exit without having to roll your number of steps/moves 2) When not in combat everyone should just have a standard number of moves Because when youve got 4 characters and everyone rolls nine except one that rolls two it slows down the game unnecessarily and delays you getting to where you need to go 3) we understand the addition of randomness and fog of war that is added by rolling your move went in combat but not outside combat; Outside of combat its just annoying 4) we have not found the speed scroll to be useful … Maybe Im not using it right but it doesnt seem to double the move of the character who uses it… Maybe include the use of scrolls another and magic items in the tutorial? 5) Since you can sell weapons or armor that you find in the dungeon to the blacksmith, why cant you sell potions and spells and stuff that you find that you dont really need? 5) The freedom to name your characters whatever you want as well as some options as to their appearance would be nice touches.

Baldurs Gate with updated graphics and easier-to-understand mechanics. You can play the game for free or spend a couple of bucks to remove ads (and support the devs). After 10 minutes, we saw that it was worth it and did. Plenty of additional quests to download and keep you adventuring.

A fun game reminescent of the classic Heroquest or D&D games.

The scroll of speed doesnt do anything to our understanding, the weapons that supposedly cant be used with a shield can still be used with a shield, but other than that, we find it to be a pretty enjoyable Heroquest clone.

Fun to play, turn based. Looks good, plays well on the big we-pad pro. Could use a bit more character development.

Works like you would expect, but ads after every dungeon level and xp really is pointless; cant find anywhere its used.

Cons Minor bugs (invisible weapons ex. Swords) few enemies Barbarian, dwarf and Mage is ok but other characters looks a bit weak all levels looks same… Pos Original tabletop RPG feel The best hero quest clone on store.

We can't say the name due to trademark, but obviously the creator knows the name of the game. We've been waiting for a free app based on the game for a long time. Thank you very much. We haven't played it yet so we will update this as we play it. Update: You can't transfer the same heroes from dungeon to dungeon? That's our gripe with this game and will delete it now. We really wish we would get a free game that is allowed by MB to get the trademark for the game name. This is the wish of the fans of the game HeroQuest.
