A Glimpse into Bricksy

With Bricksy you have to shoot at bricks to decrease their count as soon as they arrive the bottom of your screen. The more balls you catch during your gameplay, the easier it is to keep alive.

It’s very easy to play and absolutely fun, because it’s completely ad-free and you don’t have to pay for anything. But if you like to beat your friends highscore with a little help, you can buy additional shots after you’re already game over.

Id say this is one of the funnest free games on the app store. And no ads!!! Outside of the occasional request for a cup of coffee from the dev, not bad at all. Im at level 455 currently and we have found 4 consistent bugs if you would like to patch them to improve experience: 1. The line you are shooting the balls in will creep sideways a little over time. 2. This one is the worst, very annoying and may be due to #1 – When you are firing about halfway to 3/4 through all of a sudden all balls will begin firing at the line on the bottom of the screen and bouncing off screen. Say you have 300 balls, 200 will shoot fine but then the last 100 will start going nowhere. Quite frustrating. 3. Fast forwarding can significantly alter the path of balls, sometimes you can use this to your advantage. 4. Sometimes when all balls have fired it will pop back up with a random number of balls in a different spot and start firing again. Once complete the game gets stuck and you have to close app and reopen to keep going.

So refreshing to play a game that literally just bounces along and doesnt hit you up for cash every nine seconds.

Hoping this is a bug that can get fixed.

Id always put this on while we were watching a show. It was satisfying . The first glitch we noticed was sometimes Id shoot the balls and fast forward, it would stop shooting them while still counting down. Then we noticed that if you start a new game while the balls are shooting and then exited out of the game, it would start where you left off with the damage youve done to the blocks. This resulted in us always winning . When you win too much at a game it makes it kind of boring, we wish we never found that out. Overall Im impressed with this because theres no ads and buying lives is optional. Only 1$ for 5 lives.

Buggy at higher levels makes the game unplayable.

The game is great to pass time before a class or just have something to do for a little while and Im always a fan of an ad-free game. However, our complaints start from the beginning. The game starts with bricks with one health point so it should take one ball to break it and if you have more they should then pass through the area previously occupied by the block right? Wrong, sometimes the brick can block up to four balls because the health will go to zero but it takes some time for the ball to fade but it remains a solid object even past when its lost all its health making you waste multiple balls on a single block that should only take one ball to break. Another issue we find is that the balls dont travel on the same path especially when you hit in between two blocks or on the corners of blocks. It will start out consistent but it will start to throw balls randomly or slowly deviate onto a completely different path. We would prefer if it was always completely random for these situations because you can at least count on not knowing where theyre gonna go but with how it is now you have no idea what its going to do and cant count on any outcome. And one of our least favorite things is how occasionally youll get a ball that will bounce vertically without any deviation and you cant continue on until it breaks the block(s) beneath it which can be quite annoying when it has four of five under it each with 100+ health making it take minutes to wait on one ball before you can do the next level. Another issue that we dont find too annoying is during higher levels (usually anything around 150+) if you fast forward the balls will sometimes just bounce off the bottom of the screen instead of staying. Overall the game is fun but we wish these things were fixed and we wish there was some sort of upgrade you can collect other than an extra ball like a damage multiplier or double the balls for one level just to make it a little easier to get to a higher level.

This is a great game, the idea of ad free gameplay is stellar, but we wouldnt say its completely ad free. It may not promote other games but it is definitely prodding you to spend money. That being said good concept and with some additional tweaks it would make an awesome game.

Pros: no ads for other games, gives harder challenges Cons: extremely glitchy where 20% of the balls go straight down or your first 20% are chosen for you, the number of balls disappears constantly, and easily cheatable.

We got to level 361 and it made us restart or pay money to continue smh.

Glitches and issues make it impossible to play. We hate this app. Annoying to lose progress because of developer errors.
