We have been playing Castle Story for almost since its beginning. We are sorry to be noticing more & more that more that the game is becoming more about how to get players to spend cash, than just enjoy the game. This newest adventure is requiring outrageous amounts of time & resources. Its sad to see Castle Story evolving in this direction There would have been a 5 star rating until just the last few months.
Great game. But it crashes so much it's insane. And costs for gems is outrageous. We believe in paying to support developers. But the cost is unreasonable. E.g. Pay $20 for one item. It's stupid because we would spend $20 if we could get a few items. We think the developers need to rethink the prices because we would spend more money it the game. We suspect revenue would go up. Anyways. It's a fun cute game that goes beyond the typical building game with quests and story line. We do love it. But the crashes and cost knock off stars. If you are patient with crashes and have money to spend. Then it's a 5 star game.

Honestly, this is a fun game but you have to be rich to play it, and to be able to enjoy playing it. Doing anything on this game requires a lot of time, and you accomplish very little in all the time you put in. Items you need are impossible to get, and you need alot of them. This game just wants your real money.
Its a great game but you have some glitches that no one is fixing. Ive reported one to your support and gotten no response. Ivy is stock, her plot of land is still locked, and there is no option to unlock it anymore. So now Ive got that plot of land and cant do anything with it or with Ivy or her quest line.
Been a long time time player, so can attest to its attractiveness. Stopped playing from time to time, out of frustration, but always picked up where we left off. Lots of beauty & fun to be had.
We started playing this in 2011 and then we upgraded our phone all our data was lost and we have never been able to retrieve it because we dont remember our StormID from 2011. We were a really high level and also bought items so that infuriates us. We have emailed them trying to get help over the years with no luck. That was before everything was transferred to your next phone easily.
Love the game but it is perpetual crashed, delete and reinstall mode. Wish theyd fix it.
We have no real complaints about the game. We like the various story lines so even when completing a task that takes a looong time, there are other story lines to also work on. We have occasionally taken a break from the game when we got busy, but was able to pick it up again even after several months. Keep up the good work.
Why we can't switch our game to a different phone? Without having to start over.

We began playing this game in 2012 in college when all our friends were texting boys. We used this game as something to focus on and use our phone in a positive way. Over the past 12 years, there have been some times when we didnt play the game. However, it has been reassuring to be able to come back to the game while still understanding the play, the fun characters, and the way different quests connect. We appreciate being able to always have something to work towards. Thank you to the creators and for the people who post on the forum – thats a whole other wonderful review. Thanks for creating a game that is always there.
We like the game a lot because we think its fun and we play it a lot we do sometimes restart but that doesnt matter to us we do wish that we get a little more energy every 5 minutes because we have a big world and we always run out of energy so we always have to wait but overall the game is amazing we hope we get farther in the game have a great day.
Who ever controls the Gems/diamonds you have to remember Veterans are on a tight budget and can't afford the extra we love exploring.,,,,you might want to have the players explore more. Make the expansions cheaper.
Ive been playing Castle Story for over 10 years. Ive never lost data or gems when upgrading our phone. Its a great game, slow pace, fun challenges, and interesting storyline. We really enjoy it.

This is a very fun game, but unless youre able to pay a bit for the gems and other bundles, you wont get very far. Thats fine with us! Ive been building slowly but surely.

Cute idea, and has a good backstory. Im not really a big fan of the energy system. It limits how much you can play.

- We wish we could delete some items that we cant use anymore that are waiting away in our storage making our game slower. 2. We wish the menu of items in our storage could actually be categorized for easy finding. 3. We wish when planting veggies and fruit, it had how many we have already. 4. We wish we had more options to gain white unicorns that restore our energy. We cant exit the master realm so we have to leave the game each time and log back in.
REALLY ENJOYING THE GAMES.BUT we WISH THERE WERE EASIER WAYS TO EARN DIAMONDS WITHOUT SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY ON THEM.

Ive played Castle Story at different times throughout the last 10 years. Its still just as good as we remember! Maybe some of it is just nostalgia for us. But the quests and characters you interact with are pretty fun. We totally recommend this game even after 10 years! We hope they never take down any of the Storm8 Story games.
Like many other reviewers, Ive also played castle story regularly for years. That in itself is special, obviously there is something magical about this fantasy world to retain so many loyal players. :).
We have been playing this for about a year now some days we are really busy with work and life etc. But it is a great game to unwind with! We are also very impressed with the graphics and design of the game the story along side is also a huge plus. We had the app glitch on us at one point which was at first frustrating but the amazing people who work on the app quickly and kindly fixed the problem. Overall its a great game and we hope to continue enjoying it.
Please fix issues of slowly loading. We expect one day game will not load! We feel like this is becoming a trend on the games we love and played for years. We are sad.

Hello! Ive been playing a very long time! Ive hit level 50 on two different games. Unfortunately the first game we were unable to get it after our Ipad died and we had to get another. Castle Story was the only game we couldnt get back. So we started anew. What we think would be nice is being able to gift some different items. Example – more items to choose to gift. We would love to see storm water as one choice since there are so many things that require it and its hard to get enough for anything. Maybe raise the energy to at least 40.we still wish we could get our original game back. But overall we absolutely love playing this game or we wouldnt have been playing for as many many many years that we have! We wish you all the best in this new year.
We have been playing Castle Story since June 2012 and still loving it. Some of the Goals are a little tough meaning we just forget that goal. The ENERY METER needs to be increased 40 hits just not enough.
We love the game this is the second time Im playing the first game we lost and you guys were not able to retrieve it for us so we thought it over again we would like to be able to finish some of our missions and you guys dont give that option unless you pay money to get it done which is not fair because there are children that also play this game. We wish you would make it easier. Sometimes we get frustrated and we want to stop playing but we love the game.
We have played this game since it came out. Wish they would play some of the original challenges over so we may complete them and so the newbies could play them . Missing gems, coins, and always having to start over with a new name when we upgrade phones. We have like five names on here.
Once you have played for awhile, the missions are worth the effort. As long as patient, does not need to spend $$. But great deals to buy if you do use $$.
But we guess it might be better things along the way. Awesome game!! We AM REALLY ADDICTED.
We love this game and like all games it takes time to get established and it becomes fun with all the different events. We also think the twice to use gems would be good as some times we lose track of our energy and killing the beast. Thanks for everything in making it stable again.
We love this game been playing since 2011, our issue is there are alot of stuff in inventory and a lot of tasks unfinished this is very frustrating.

Im so done with the Elven outpost!!! We have over 5000 bronze not even 200 silver and no gold. Even when we trade good stuff for it Castle Story directors you guys need to do better. Ive been playing this game since the day it came out and you guys just keep screwing all of us over.
We HAVE to rate it highly because no matter how mad we get with the endless glitches (never put too many things in your kingdom at once or take too many things out!) and them giving us cool stuff then taking it away later to make the game harder, we cant get ourselves to delete it. We think the thing they could do to make us old users happiest is let us go to level 99 instead of 50, with all the continuing bonus of being able to level up. We often go on sprees and during one of these Ill always spend upwards 20 dollars. Events cant be won without real money so if you want cool stuff (yes, even if you babysit the game). Positives well, plenty of stuff to do, we like the theme and its almost too much fun. They know how to make you spend!!! But they always add new stuff so even if you uncover all the land they will just add more or put new events or quests or changes to make you keep playing. So, very fun and long. You can enjoy it for a long time especially if you dont spend money because youll be going snail pace trust us.
We have been playing for a long time and really enjoy the game. Our one big complaint is that the big events are almost impossible to complete without either paying or playing non-stop all day. Either the drop rates are too low or the energy use is too high. Because of this we often end up skipping a lot of the fun events.
Just started in this game. After 2 days, we quit. The graphics are beautiful but most quests rely on buying gems! You cannot even get an apple tree without gems. Also, there are consistently popups asking you to download a different game interrupting you playing. That is very annoying. Update: Learned that gems can earned (very, very slowly) by downloading those games from those popup and special quests. But ok, at least there is a way of earning gems besides paying for gems.
