This is a very unique, creative game. Ive already played this game through twice and might even end up playing it again. For anyone looking for diverse character design, this game is the best Ive seen (age, gender, ethnicity, +). It is a very meta storyline where the player plays a game within a game and has philosophical discussions about game design with fictional game creators (we swear we made that sound way more boring than it actually is!). The philosophical discussions are the best part in our opinion. The only thing we disliked was toward the end there is one choice that asks the player to put in any adjective. We had such a hard time finding adjectives that worked! It would instead say it didnt know that adjective yet. We tried about two dozen adjectives before we got one to work, which was very frustrating. Then, we decided to see how many we could get to work at all. We only found 4 words that worked, though Id guess there are a few more. Maybe a multiple choice would work better here? Hack for anyone who is stuck, all of these words can work, but get different results: Honest, Profound, Satisfying, Perfect.
Beautiful slow burn love story that is in fact a love story between game creators and those who love and play them.
We love this game. Ive been looking for a good story game where your choices really matter and is long enough to actually enjoy. Ive tried out and deleted multiple games that just didnt scratch our brain the way this game does! We love all the characters, and the detail their different personalities makes it feel like youre bonding with actual people. Definitely recommending this to our friends :).
This game is very interesting and entertaining, also it has lots of choices. The games provided by this company has always been really good.
We downloaded this game expecting a short e novel type deal, and was not expecting to be struck with the emotional rollercoaster this was. 10/10, download this right now.
This is one of those games that holds a very special place in our heart. We cant ever get sick of it, we always come back every once and a while. We adore every character, they were so beautifully written, and we couldnt help but fall in love with every single one of them (and the first time we played we thought we were going to leave with a clear favorite, but god was we wrong) Games like this are very rare for us and we really love it for that.

We remember the first time we read this we cried because we wished there was more but we knew that it was perfect ending how it did. Probably one of the best interactive stories Ive read. We love the parallels made between the game and your narrative in the story, and dialogue makes it wonderfully self-aware while also immersing you in the story. With other similar stories to this, often unfortunately found that the integrity of the story suffers because of people looking for money (having to buy story options, distracting advertisements, paying to unlock chapters). This is NOT done here; if you choose to do the free option, the story remains the same besides for a few fairly minimal wait times between chapters (and the chapter are nicely long themselves). However, we would definitely recommend choosing the paid option to support the author if you can just because of how fantastic this is :)).
We love this game SOOO much! We like how its quite diverse. Even if youre going for one character, the rest of the characters are included, and dont just completely fade into the background. We also get a lot of imagery when playing games like this and let us tell you, some wonderful art could be made from this. It would be interesting to see you guys make a visual game! Id be very on board with seeing that. This game makes you question quite a lot of things such as views on life, on death, on artificial intelligence on change. Change is a really big theme here, we feel like. We definitely feel like its something to be questioned a lot in reality. Everyone always wants to change a portion of their life; whether it was something as small as forgetting to close your door, or something as big as just completely resetting. We love the philosophy put into this, it genuinely gets you thinking. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This game truly gives you a sense of control over the story and really allows you to see how your decisions will affect the story, would recommend to anyone interested in trying something fun and requiring some thinking, the story will get you hook.
Im not great at writing things like this so we are just going to come out and say that this was absolutely incredible. One the the best things we have ever read and it made it even better that we could control the main character. Every one of the options for this game added so much depth. We teared up at the ending, partially because it was over but also because how beautifully it ended. All in all, an amazing work of art.
When we initially downloaded this, we saw all the five star reviews and buzz about the storys progression and tying in of two separate characters and romances, but wasnt sure what to believe of it. Hearing that it investigated philosophical issues was a major for our philosophy side, and so with tentative hope, we opened up the app and began our story. Boy, did you deliver. Feeling around who our characters are and how they feel about life, love, and the big questions was a beauty to behold. We just finished our second playthrough of Creatures Such As We, and am already looking forward to the next one. Its also worth noting that you can purchase the ability to skip waiting a set period of time instead of paying for premium choices, which is a much more consumer-friendly business model in our opinion. Well done. Truly.
Theres not a lot of actual game play but our gods its well written. You get to explore philosophical ideas with a dash of romance or danger or adventure or whatever it is you want ON THE MOON. The developer is a beautiful story teller and its an overall amazing game.
We are an artist who studies philosophy for fun, and has an obsession with space. This was… Perfect. Ive only done one play through and we just feel so happy and warm. With how deep things got we were worried Id make the wrong choice, and get like a bad bad end. Thankfully things worked out okay, and then the end credits really helped. It was also amazing to see the option to be trans? And it wasnt used for any weird remarks, just so that we could be more ourselves. We cant tell you how much we appreciated seeing it. Even without the romance aspect it was wonderful to be existential in space.

Thank you, Choice of Games LLC. We downloaded this app just to rate it, since we originally read the story on their app with all the stories. We swear, they never disappoint. To everyone who has read their individual apps, go download the ones with all of the stories on them. This was our first story on their main app and it remains our all-time favorite. It had us crying so hard by the end. 10/10. We love this story so much. Very emotional. The kind that makes your heart hurt, but in a good way. A good kind of emptiness. GO READ IT.
This has been one of the best games Ive ever played. Everything flows together perfectly, and the way it was made is 10/10. We are truly in love with the game.
At first we were kind of skeptical if this was worth our time but when we got to the part where we had to save Ren and the ending to the game-in-the-game we thought it was really neat. And the ending was also very interesting. We didnt feel like it was a real ending because we didnt work for it, but it made us think about what makes endings so satisfying.
We downloaded the game a few years ago but somehow never finished it. Chalk it up to procrastination, lack of wanting or whatever, but we're glad we finally did! It's wonderfully written and the fact that it's text based makes this game such an amazing tool for your imagination. Here you have a great story where you get to decide the outcome and play the scenes out it in your mind's eye! Already on the verge of playing the game and create different stories of our own within it. The detail of including multiple races and genders is a wonderful detail. Kudos all around! We are not a great review writer but this is game is an out-of-box experience . The game has a memorable ending with a interesting background. Definitely a read for those who are bored.
Im not much of a reader. We like sounds and pictures. But from the moment we picked up this story we couldnt let it go. And after we take some time to let the ending sink in, Im going to play again.

We never write reviews, but we've thought about this game for days after we've played it. We wasn't sure what to expect going into it, but the depth of the story and characterization really transported us to to this moon/zombie au through only text. Many questions about the meta nature of gaming were brought to our attention, and we are so glad for it. Truly a stellar experience.
Ive never played a game like this, and found ourselves quite shocked just how much we enjoyed it. It kept us looking forward to our next session with the game. One positive enhancement- maybe instead of solid white background…a Moon/Stars background (While keeping the story readable) would enrich the Ambiance. Great Story.
We love this game so much. It is an amazing blend of romance and action and space and philosophy and its just so amazing. UGH we love it so much you really need to read it.
This game was so amazing we cant even. It literally took our breath away for several occasions. It makes you really think and if Ives you butterflies and all of these beautiful and wonderful feelings. It literally makes you feel like you are on the moon figuratively and literally. We thought the ending was amazing because you could tailor it to suit you which most games dont have. We could barely put it down. We recommend this to literally everyone. We cant imagine a person not liking this. We are normally a person who likes modern realistic fiction and hate literally anything else but this game is by far the best game that we have ever played in our entire life. We enjoyed waking up every morning and doing just a little bit of this game (we cant really play much because of our work), whenever o could we picked it up and played and it made us feel better from anything at all that was going on in the outside world. Our Grandma died the December of 2019 and we were there when she died and this game had made us feel a whole lot better throughout our grieving process because we were extremely close to her. This game every step of the way has been with us. The game is so beautifully written with the best word choices and knows just how to make you feel great and feel good after youve read it, you feel a great satisfaction once you play the game. Im a writer too, granted we have never really published anything but we are working towards it and the author of this is how great we aim to be. We are so pleased with how this turned out we believe we will replay the different endings and just feel this amazing beautiful rollercoaster of emotions over and over again. We never want this game to end. This is a perfect way to escape daily life and chaos especially with what has been happening with the virus.
We were continually pulled into the story and its characters. It was surprisingly modern from being in the future on the moon. All in all its a lovely game.
This was an oddly deep story and we liked it.
Its amazing how detailed everything is, we could picture everything and we loved the characters. We felt attached to them. The in game "gaming" was great too, we were afraid we would get confused by it but it was easy to follow. A very interesting plot and idea. We adored this game.

Woah, his story truly took the breath straight out of our lungs. This story was so beautiful. So, so beautiful. We couldnt help but feel just like we were in the story, feeling just as flustered as the main character and everything. We chose the story with Grant. We dont regret a single thing. The ending left us warm and satisfied. It left us wanting the story to never end. We really cant put into words how much this story really touched us. We loved it so much. No flaws, except of course for a couple typos, but those dont effect the story at all. We cant explain in words how amazing this game is. Download it yourself. Take the path and feel it. Feel the sensation of the excitement, fluster, and passion.

That feature in the end about choosing different endings was good too, although like the game said, is it really the same ending? The same story even? Whatever interpretation is up to you. If you are big in choose your own adventure games then try this game out it is an amazing game youre a tourist guide on the moon(we know that it sounds a little boring when we say that) but there is a lot of adventure, romance and danger to compete against here you are also a zombie with a ghost friend fighting against an unbeatable foe and a never ending story mode… Except If you think you can can beat it prove it and download this game and have fun.

It had a lot of different options and choices. We loved our experience.
We havent played many games where the story, the characters and the ending caused self-reflection and genuinely tragic emotions. It was amazing and Im not sure if we want to replay it because the ending we got was perfect, even when asked if we wanted to change anything. The fact that you can choose that at all is brilliant. We feel the writers put so much heart and thought into this game, that they made it so very less an impersonal experience. Another thing we really loved was all the queer and poc representation. Ive only played one other game where it offers more than male or female for the player. The dialogue really brought this through. Its just so refreshing to see yourself represented, racially and by your gender. All of the characters were so well-written. There were points in the game where we just had to set it down because it broke our heart or it got really real or we were faced with a tough decision. Honestly, if youre on the rocks about playing this game heres your open letter telling you to go and dive in. Its something we wish most games were: atmospheric, personal, exciting, challenging… Thank you so much for putting this game out into the world.
This game is amazing and we would recommend it to anyone, to be honest this is more a piece of art then a game with all of its different paths you can go down and not to mention the pretty deep dialogue its just fantastic, would highly recommend.
